scenes from today
had an AMAZING workout. squatted with no pain and moved up another 20lbs without my shoulder, hip, or sciatica hurting!! plus crushed 45s for my db bench, and got good practice getting the weight up myself without assistance from the guys lol.
to top it all off the 3 of us put in 10 miles on the skates/bikes in a little under an hour!! body feels amazing and it’s the first time i’ve been pain-free in a while. plus the sunshine, cardio, and hanging with friends made me feel so good 🥺 I wish every day was like today!!

Ok, so today is my REAL day one of allergen/intolerances detox. My personal science experiment continues.
No more peanuts, soya, eggs, tomatoes or peas. Peas showed up on an intolerance test I did a longish while ago. Had them yesterday, and I don't think my body liked them.
Anyway, no walk yet. I'm heading out soon for a much later one than usual.
Yes, the mucus is bad. But yes, I'm right back at the beginning of clearing my system of those potential triggers.
14hr fast, walnuts, apple with cinnamon and EVOO coffee (black coffee, extra virgin olive oil, inulin and collagen, mixed thoroughly with a blender) for breakfast outside.
Then a half hour full body resistance band session with an online client. Getting her stronger, and working myself just as hard in the process!
Mucus has been bad, no surprises there. But that's where that detox phase comes I'm, hopefully.
A few false starts. Now I'm fully on it.
Lovely 30 minute nature walk (under a beautiful, moody sky!) before chilling with a decaff with cream.
Then a fantastic HIIT blast.
Strength and cardio.
Felt good to work hard, and it definitely felt good to get finished 😋
It was cheese salad for lunch straight after that. Very nice it was, too!
I ended today's fitness with another little walk in the early afternoon.
The mucus settled down between lunch and that walk, and was fine for a little while, but yeah, it came back. Not as bad as earlier, though.
Good movement, excellent macros and an average fast.
Not a bad Sunday. Happy with that 😁

Workout
I am pretty active. My job is semi-active; I work 40 hours a week and have 2 dogs. So I'm on my feet pretty often.
However, to keep fat off my body, I need some sort of high-intensity cardio. Anytime I lost fat in the past, it was due to me eating less or adding high-intensity cardio. In the spring of 2020, I did running. From Jan - May and May - November 2021, I did HIIT (Fitness Blender first then Rachael Attard HIIT).
Because HIIT is hard, doing it 2x a week suffices. Even 1x a week. But I'll test 2 out along with my active lifestyle and walking. Maybe I can add in some running, but we'll see about that later.
