He’s begging. John is actually begging and Phee can’t help but feel a sliver of satisfaction (there’s also a sliver of guilt right in there with it, but she’s not going to examine that, right now).

He seems…sort of shaken, if she looks closely. Like he’s worried. Afraid. Has been this way since he saw something in the crowd and swore, a few minutes ago. Phee’s not sure where he got the bracelet he’s currently holding out to her from, if he already had it in his pocket or if he took it from someone (yes, she’s seen the pickpocketing, John, but she’s kept her mouth shut about it, so far, for reasons she’s not even sure of). However he wound up with it, he’d held it in his hand, covered it with the other, and quickly said some strange words that certainly weren’t in English.

And now he’s crouching in front of her, asking her to wear it and stay silent, and Phee doesn’t understand why. What spooked him so much? What does the bracelet do? She has so many questions for him rattling around in her brain, but given his expression, now’s not the time to ask them.

As much as she enjoys making things difficult for him, Phee does actually know when to quit. She can tell when things get serious, when it’s actually important to do what she’s asked, and she’s certain that now’s one of those times.

“Fine. Since you asked so nicely,” she decides primly, holding out her wrist to him.

okay so post epic odyssey where odysseus and Penelope have surfaced from their room finally and he and diomedes are catching up I'm imagining the conversation going something like this

Odysseus: so then I gave up being merciful and became the monster.

Diomedes:....you tried being merciful?

Odysseus: Yes?

Diomedes: you did? You tried being a good merciful person? You?

Odysseus: Yah okay fuck off it was polties dying wish. I had to try.

every year on the anniversary of when they met, Bruce steals Jasons tires. It doesnt matter if jason is off world, when he arrives at the ship, the landing tires are gone. hes in a different part of the world? His bike tires are gone. Hes at the store? bam suddenly his shopping cart wheels are gone. Hes at home? the wheels on his chair are gone.

Bruce thinks hes funny.

My first ever comic con! And first cosplay too. Of course it's gonna be my boy :] Ramblings about the process are under the cut(Let me know if?? You would want me to elaborate with process images for any of the steps?)

The costume took me forever to make, as I've never done any machine sewing, sculpting, fabric dying or spray painting before but learning all of these was so fucking fun!! I never realised just how many different skills go into making a cosplay but it was so worth it!!!

Almost all of the clothes(except the hat) were purchased first as bases, but all of the detailing was added by me. All of the fabric used was originally just scraps that I was given for free so I needed to learn how to dye and dye all of the stars, they were originally white.

The sewing machine was its own beast that brought me tons of frustration from the lack of skill and knowledge (it was devastating to find out that 95% of fuck ups were my fault and not the machine's lmao). But as a result, a hat sewn from scratch, all of the fur trims, embroidery on the corset, stars and the collar(which is very hard to see on the pictures unfortunately) was all added manually. The stars and the stripes(on the back of the cape) were attached using heat-and-bond adhesive (I WISH I knew about such thing just when I started working on this. It would save me so much time and nerves.)

Then I found out about polymorph(mouldable plastic) and it has become the next thing I wanted to learn, to sculpt the claws and the fangs(yes, they're handmade jfksjs). The claws I then primed and painted in trillion coats because I wasn't satisfied with the colour of the spray paint. The fangs I moulded to my own teeth and then stained with tea to match the colour of my teeth :)c

As for makeup, I used Mehron Paradise water activated paints. At first I wanted to try to save money and bought myself Snazaroo instead, which unfortunately turned out to be a waste. Snazaroo didn't hold on my face for longer than 2 hours, cracking and peeling awfully. Mehron on the other hand survived 11 hours of me smiling, talking, emoting and such and didn't even crease at the smile lines(I'm actually shocked about that). It obviously works like any other makeup which means your skin texture and wrinkles won't go anywhere but Mehron's elasticity pleasantly surprised me. It did obviously smear from sweat and saliva(if you're eating and licking your lips) but if you don't touch the skin it just dries again, self setting. But if it's dry it's fully smear-proof. Highly recommend!

And last but not least, I've decided against painting my hands as it was very risky that I will stain everything I touch at the smallest hint of sweat. So instead I got myself gloves-tights(? Not sure how they're called but it's made from the same fabric as tights) and painted them with normal acrylic paint(did you know you could dye fabric with acrylic paint? I personally didn't), then heat set with an iron and voilà, they're reusable, my hands are not stained after an exhausting day and I don't stain everything I touch. It worked wonderfully which honestly was a surprise as I was really sceptical that acrylic paint will somehow stay in place.

I think this whole thing took me minimum of 6 months with big-big breaks for my school and life in general. But I'm really proud! This project taught me so many new skills and I couldn't have been happier about learning new knowledge, even if it sucked to fail in the meantime.

Everyone at the con was really nice and gave me a large confidence boost even tho it was my first time and I had no idea what I was doing. Taking photos with other people was really awkward/new for me as I hate cameras so I really had no idea how to pose/behave in front of one. But that's okay I think. This whole experience definitely made me want to do this again, so I think that will come with experience. Thank you for reading this far, hope you enjoyed this little summary :)

hot take: Bruce can only tolerate hanging out with Lex Luthor (as Brucie) when he’s high as fuck. Largely because he hates how stuck up and annoying Lex is. Similarly, Lex Luthor can’t stand spending time with Brucie unless he’s also either drunk or high.

So every once in a while, during a really slow charity event or something…you can find them in a back room somewhere hitting a bong and actually, genuinely enjoying the other person’s company for a few minutes. All in the name of intelligence (Bruce) or corporate espionage (Lex) if you ask them.

Danny may be a Ghost Baby who feels like an Anicent, but his friends don't.

SO, we all know the Ghost Baby Headcanon by now right? The idea that Danny is literally a Toddler by Ghost Standards, but because of how powerful he is everybody else believes that he is an Ancient or a God who is hogging the Mortal World to himself.

But what about his friends?

They were right there when the Portal opened. No Hazmat Suits, no Cover, no Protection from the Dimension of Pure Energy that had just been opened right in front of them.

That has to have some kind of Side Effects!

And actually, we do know of a Character who was just standing in front of a Portal when it opened and still got affected by it. Vlad.

While Danny was turned into a Halfa instantly, his friends would be more similar to Vlad in that they are slow to transform.

It takes weeks, but eventually they become mini-halfas themselves. Except they didn't have an entire Dimension of energy pushed into them upon fully forming, so their Ecto-Signatures actually feel like the babies they are supposed to be.

So imagine this from the Ghosts perspective.

They meet this guy called Phantom, a Halfa who is Extremely Powerful, but nobody has seen him in centuries. He was known as a very powerful Protector Spirit for millennia, randomly showing up across history, but always helping others. And then he just vanished one day, not seen again for centuries.

Until recently, when he showed in the Mortal World, stopping any other Ghost from fulfilling their Obsessions with Humans. And by his side are 2 smaller Halfa's that feel like they must have barely formed. You can see where this is going.

They think Sam and Tucker are Danny's children.

It makes sense! A Powerful Ancient, known for protecting people, suddenly disappears for centuries and then shows up again with 2 baby Halfa's in tow? That sounds like a Protector Spirit who lost his will to fight, decided to settled down in the Mortal Realm, and then found out that 2 baby Halfa's were formed when a Portal was opened!

He isn't selfishly holding the Mortal Realm to himself! He's protecting the Fledgling Haunt of his 2 Babies! They must still have living Family, that's why he is so adamant that they don't hurt the Civilains in their battles!

Now they just feel like assholes for attacking the Baby's dad when he was just trying to protect their stuff.

Danny finds this both extremely infuriating, and also agonizingly hilarious.

friends i am deep in the dandadan brainrot and it just occurred to me (i have not read the manga yet so idk but ok):

so. Okarun doesn't actually know why Momo calls him Okarun, right?

And I was thinking about this whole thing about the names. How the names they choose to call each other is the reflection of how much they accept the love they have for each other, which is all nice and cute but.

What if Okarun thinks the reason Momo doesn't call him Ken/Ken Takakura is that she thinks it's SO INCREDIBLY EMBARASSING that he is named after an old famous actor?

and it would be so true to form that they hold onto this misconception and that they get confused by it once they get to talk about the love confession (yes THAT love confession)

like imagine Momo grills him for never calling her by her name and Okarun argues back like "well you're no one to talk! MISS AYASE. you're so embarrassed of my name being the same as some dumb actor that you had to give me a nickname!"

I didn't get him (and I need to save my keys for Silver's birthday, sob) so I looked up his groovy, and I'm not over how incredibly dramatic and epic and cool it looks in direct contrast to the absolutely ridiculous context. just look at that dynamic action and his majestic sparkling tears and keep in mind that this is pretty much right after a bunch of characters have been dance battling for his soul.

and then even the actual moment of the groovy is just like

this is NOT a negative in the slightest, I love it all, this truly was an incredible update in so many ways
