If there are any canonical (is that a word?) facial features of the characters shown, I may have just forgotten them. But I’m glad I finally got to roughly doodle how I imagined these characters to look :’)

“Aswang Skin” (long sleeve) by Jean Louie Castillo Fashion collection “FEAR CESSATION” 2021-2.
This garment was designed with the intention of embodying the idea of ‘fear’ through the exploration of Filipino folklore’s Aswang phenomenon: the a shapeshifter or personification of fear. The designing period of FEAR CESSATION involved in-depth introspective views on what it means to feel ‘fear’, so I plagued my research with personal phobias and things that made my skin crawl.
-
The most debilitating phobia of mine is Trypophobia, clusters of holes and stripes. Groups of natural-looking, minuscule hell holes. I have never understood why this affects me so appallingly. Just thinking of it makes me unwell and want to scream. I’m sure many others feel the same way. I thought that by the end of project FEAR CESSATION, my phobia would cease or at least neutralise - I was wrong.
-
The Aswang Skin Long Sleeve is a beautiful outcome from such an unspeakable phobia. The garment doesn’t not nauseate me for some reason - perhaps it’s that I’m the one who made it and I know it can’t hurt nor infect me. All my life I’ve been scared of acquiring deathly infections with holes and lumps on the surface of my skin. Dermatitis is bearable but still not something I need or want on my body. (Research reference: Sick Rose by Richard Barnett, Thames & Hudson). Fatal bacteria and germs that inhabit these clusters of holes and lumps are my idea of literal hell. This is a personal phobia I’ve dealt with my entire life and it doesn’t seem to go away; constant hand sanitisation, mask wearing and avoidance of skin to skin contact with strangers still isn’t enough for me. I want to swim in concentrated bleach to know that I’m pure and thoroughly sterilised.
With this garment, I’ve managed to become a philocalist of trypophobia… (only for a second) if you look past the revolting clusters and the logical meaning that there are millions of deadly inhabitants writhing inside, then you’ll see the beauty in repetition of lines, circles and dots in textile form. The stretch cotton long sleeve has pintucks (fabric manipulation) on the sleeves and torso, the worst places to be infected, if so, with black fabric paint to enhance the trypophobia appearance. If you’re a fashion fan, you’ll see the Margiela reference through the silhouette (Martin Margiela, Sock Sweater, AW91). This piece, stylistically, is a heavy nod and a love letter Martin Margiela (my saviour).

UPIS, nagkaisa upang manatiling #BuhayAngEDSA
//nina Martin Arevalo, Sophia Dormiendo, at Elis Reyes

my phone isabout to die but i need to complain abt how people draw martin tma RIGH NTOW
#LISTEN LISTEN TO ME. HE IS NOT WHITE & BLOND/GINGER HE DOES NOT HAVE CIRCLE GLASSES OR WEAR WOOL VESTS DO YOUUNDERSTAND.#no one gets me & my polish/filipino martin hc it is so sad#i do love that he is usually drawn tall & fat but he does not look like a BABY AUGH#plesaaase give that man some eyebags and stubble and acne scars esp in s5 i am on my hsnds and knees crying#makes me annoyed how people see a guy who is sweet and a lil clumsy and turn him into the image of british innocence . do u know what imean#he isn’t a child he isn’t a doormat he’s a whole grown man and it’s awesome#and jon . it bores me the way ppl give him gaunt or chiseled features n a sharp jawline like . he is the definition of average .#n the fancy clothes ? please he is so painfully uncharismatic at work he wouldnt even have a cool tie. he’d have piercings tho that is true#andthe way people make him ambiguously brown .. i wish people took more care to accurately draw ethnic features#or at least figure out what ones they’re trying to represent#face shape variation is really really cool if u pay attention to it !!#also my personal propaganda is jon is hoh in the right ear & wore a (gray) hearing aid and had super generic glasses pre-coma BTW#i should draw season lineups for them i love them so much#i just have to figure out how long jon’s hair is😢that’s something i have 0 thoughts on😭#WAIT ALSO. u know how people draw martin’s hair turning white during the Lonely segment. i don’t get why they don’t just give him vitiligo#it makes perfect sense to me and it would be so swag awesome but i’ve never seen anyone draw it but me .. falls over#talking tag

This is the 2013 Christmas Station ID Theme Song from ABS-CBN. The Christmas Station ID theme song is "Thank You for the Love" which was sung by various Kapamilya stars. The Christmas Station ID theme song was led by the couple. Gary Valenciano and Pops Fernandez, who are known as the couple from ABS-CBN, Martin Nievera and Sharon Cuneta who are known as the couple from GMA and Ogie Alcasid and Regine Velasquez who are truly known as the couple from TV5. They are also known for the 2005 Christmas Station ID Theme Song from GMA, "Kapuso, Ikaw Ang Star ng Pasko". Somehow, New singers like Billy Crawford and Sarah Geronimo have joined the choir before they got married in January 15, 2014.

i think some ppl dont understand the difference between being full on consciously bigoted + going out of your way to harass a minority and someone who heard phrases from their friends and family while not actually holding any ill will towards whichever minority
#i was both best friends with a black girl in middle school and also had my sister showing me racist videos and stereotypes#did it make me say things that i totally shouldnt have and didnt know i shouldnt say? for fucking sure- regardless i still never personally#saw her as bad or less than or anything at all. it probably helped that my childhood friend was filipino bc i was already exposed to#different people. its like the whole words vs actions thing. ppl would say words to me and i would parrot them thinking i was being#funny like my brother or sister but ultimately i never saw anyone as different than me and never really treated anyone differently either#i was a child who didnt understand the weight or meaning of things i parroted and trusted those around me to know better#since i was literally a fuckin' child. thats kinda what they do. and no one ever really countered me if i did something wrong?#there was one time in like 2nd grade where i had just come from a really christiany catholicy school to a different better cooler school#that was less oppressive and DIDNT require me to participate in church shit and wear a uniform-#and i was still not very exposed to black people at that time yet#so when i was in second grade there was a black kid (different person from my friend in middle school) and we were sitting at a table#and i was just kinda making an observation like 'you're black!' not a negative thing just like 'oh! i understand what this is! i know what#this is ive heard of ppl like this before and maybe met one or two black ppl previously!' lmao and then i followed it up with 'like martin#luther king!' bc he was probably one of the only black ppl i knew about and i literally learned about him when i visited the school for#the first time to try it out in first grade and then apparently everyone thought i was being super offensive??????????????????#??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????#i dont really remember the details and my gma remembers an entirely different thing so idek whats the truth but thats how i remember it#going down. i wasnt trying to be rude or offensive i was just like 'oh you're this! like this person ive heard of! neat :)!' and apparently#it got interpreted as a really bad thing that i said and idk. that was probably one of the weirder experiences i had growing up#like maybe its not always fun to be known for the minority you are bc of a famous person whos of the same minority...?? idk#i still to this day dont know what i said wrong really. i just wasnt exposed to very many black ppl#i knew of like one black girl once at a gymnastics thing i did sometimes and we were friends and i was a tiny tiny child all of this#happening way before 2nd grade and all i remember is her dad and my dad talking and me going to her fancy house to swim in her pool#once. and then i stopped doing gymnastics for whatever reason. so i wasnt exactly super exposed to black ppl frequently.#esp since the christianty-catholicy school was full of rich white kids. and so was my neighborhood at the time.#so i wasnt trying to be mean or offensive to this guy in 2nd grade but it got interpreted that way and then everyone treated me different#bc ig they thought i was a certain way bc the teachers were overreacting a bit. i have no idea. i really just think that one white#girl just liked to bully me and didnt actually have a good reason why and im tired of trying to humor ppl thinking its bc i was a bigot 😒#like i wouldnt be surprisedif nowadays that how she tries to justify it but NONE of what she ever did was calling me out or anything#it was ALLLLL treating me different for being 'weird' in her eyes. but i digress.
