This issue has been going on at least for more than two weeks now as I've observed
Ok idk who else across the globe but here in the Philippines who are using ISP Globe or PLDT broadband or wired
YOUR TUMBLR photos or videos will not be seen or viewed at all, so it's screwed
Idk the "bug" or issue, I did all the usual troubleshooting because I thought it was an app thing: uninstall, clear cache, etc. But no it's an ISP thing.
Found by accident I can view via Globe mobile data. So ISP broadband/wired stuff is the issue
The work arounds are:
1. Get a VPN
2. Use a mobile data or hotspot it
3. In some public wifi it seems they don't have the same ISP but not sure. I was in our local grocery store with WiFi and tumblr was running as it should, pics and videos playing
Reddit forum below is more so "Yeah there's an issue" solidarity so at least it turns out the issue is not isolated.
Any one across the globe have the same issue?

marvel should hire me to write bc i'd pull the funniest thing on earth where i am wiping his catholic slate CLEAN and i would explcitily have him go ehhhh i've never really been religious me and my dad went some easters and christmases and attended a few services outside of that but that stopped by the time i was around 10 and my dad just kinda gave up on it because he didn't particularly want to go by that point either. and even then we hadn't gone every year for easter and christmas in that time frame. and then we never bring that shit up again in the story. he is only catholic in the sense he went a few times and it's the only church experience he knew and his dad probably grew up going to church more in his youth being dragged in by his family but he never felt particularly compelled to go back to it once he moved out on his own. catholic only in the fact that his family was irish catholic but his dad is a lapsed catholic who did not give a fuuuuuck
#based off my own father's filipino catholic experiences. and my own religious experiences in general. bc my mom's protestant but still didnt#raise me religiously. i've been to church a handful of times and it was never bad but it never ever stuck. i just kinda remember some stuff#and what i do know it's more from the general cultural osmosis of american christianity than anything#plus i grew up in a known for its religiosity suburb. but again. that still didnt really rub off on me.#in my mind jack is a guy who when entering a church will still dip his fingers in the holy water and cross with it#and matt watches and maybe mimics but he doesnt really get it still bc their service attendance has been so extremely infrequent.#so i imagine it's far more like that for matt than the insane bs they've been pullin the last few years. given the you know.#50 somethings years of established only really culturally casually catholic matt. bc well. why wouldnt he be new york irish catholic.#i imagine is the thought process. but i will never be a fan of how it's a big deal now. bc it just never has been. ever#and that's not to say a character cannot become religious or be religious or have it become more of a thing in their life!#very much it can be done. but i think it's been done piss poor. from all i've seen and what i've read of recent stuff. so it's just bad.#like it isnt done in a meaningfully way or sensical to my understanding. it's like. pure show pandering fanon appeal.#so it's utterly meaningless as a whole with no point or purpose aside from it#can we go back to just using it for cool art visuals bc i think we can all appreciate a cool splash page of a church fight and stuff#but please. dont try to make it more than that if you arent going to do it well#SORRY I KNOW EVERYONE ON PLANET DD HAS MADE THIS POST BUT I REMEMBER AND GET SOOOOO IRRITATED!!!!! IT'S SO STUPID POINTLESS DUMB I HATE ITT#static.soundz

one of our readings for last week talked about how in some cases immigrants from third world countries are recruited/incentivized by first world countries in order to create a new source of exploited labour within that country to reinforce the hierarchy of racial/class systems and i haven't stopped thinking about it
#ro talks#using this blog because i don't??? know if there is a better blog or place to put it so#onto here it goes#i have not stopped thinking abotu it. those are my ancestors bro....#the filipino immigration booms in the 60s and 70s? like. lol#like yeah my mom's aunts and parents were Literally immigrants because there was a call for#migrant workers that could do blue collar or service work jobs#lower class manual labour. exploited labour that would allow for growth of capital that doesn't benefit them#god it makes me SICK. anyways

You Should Hire A Virtual Assistant & Here’s Why
To Hire a Virtual Assistant is a suitable solution for your business if you are tired of spending hours in front of the computer without free time for yourself, your friends, or your family. You might be wondering if hiring a Virtual Assistant is worth it.
We’ve all heard about how a Virtual Assistant can help your business succeed. But how? Here’s a list of ten reasons you must hire a Virtual Assistant (VA) to help reach your goals.
What is a Virtual Assistant?
A Virtual Assistant provides remote services to different brands and businesses. Additionally, Virtual Assistant offers numerous benefits in the business, such as:
Grasping the most potential talent that your business needs
Less supervision
Reduces the workload
Keeps business owners away from entrepreneurial burnout
Despite these benefits, there’s a big decision to make regarding outsourcing. And since business owners always aim for success, they will undoubtedly take risks. This is due to the reason that VA leverages the business’s utmost potential.
Virtual Assistants can help everyone needing assistance, such as:
Business owners
Coaches
Teachers
Real Estate professionals
Doctors
Brands
Influencers
Embracing a Virtual Assistant means delegating remotely and with some training, especially on the client’s preferences. Thus, business owners can enjoy a work-life balance and focus on the essential tasks alone.
There are millions of Virtual Assistants ready to assist clients today. They are primarily in administration, sales, marketing, finance, customer service, human resource, IT, creatives, and many others. Virtual Assistants can work hourly or with fixed-rate jobs starting at $5/hour or $500 monthly.
Virtual Assistants Today that can Help Clients
Most of these Virtual Assistants are skilled and trained. These are some of the fields Virtual Assistants today can help clients with:
Executive Virtual Assistance
Social Media Management and Marketing
Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
Real Estate Virtual Assistance
ClickFunnels

Shopify

App Development
Business and Product Development

Quickbooks, MYOB, Zoho, and AKAUNTING
Digital Marketing
ChatBot Marketing
Customer Service, Sales, and Support
Human Resource Management
Coding Designs and Procedures (Architecture and Engineering)
Online School Management
Top Three Reasons Why you Need a Virtual Assistant
1. Reduce Costs
Onboarding a new employee means additional expenses. Thus, when business owners hire a Virtual Assistant, it saves costs for training, benefits, and other fees. Considering a VA is an independent worker. Business owners can spend on something other than leave credits and benefits like a regular employee receives.
2. Saves time
Most of the VAs have experience in their expertise. This means that you can skip training. They know what to do and have the knowledge and skills to impact your business growth. And since VAs are remote workers, they know how to manage their time and tasks well. On top of that, a Virtual Assistant can multitask while ensuring quality outputs.
3. Proper tasks delegation
When you outsource, you are delegating tasks effectively. Why is that so? As your business is continuously growing, tasks are also increasing. In that case, you need to leverage a Virtual Assistant’s abilities in coping with duties. Similarly, your office employees can focus on their tasks, and you, as the owner, will focus on and prioritize core duties.
Where to Find an Effective Virtual Assistant?
Besides the services a VA can do for your business, a VA’s help will empower your business strategy. Now, are you ready to embrace a Virtual Assistant in your business?
But, before that, you need to be aware of where you can spot an excellent Virtual Assistant. And here are the top three best places to find a VA.
Initially, you can find a VA on any social media platform like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Linked In, and Pinterest.
Another one is Virtual Assistant Companies like Real Estate VA Agencies.
And last is the place where competitive VAs dwells, the freelancing websites.
Which is the right place to find a great VA? According to a DDIY study, 33% of 500 established companies worldwide outsource using freelancing websites. In short, this implies that freelancing websites are a great place to spot, especially for newbies. This is because the freelancing website displays portfolios showcasing the VA’s expertise and experience. Therefore, by looking at their portfolios, you can illustrate how a VA provides value to your business.

triangle of sadness felt like a missed potential to center the movie around the modeling and fashion industry OR around dolly de leon’s character with the rest of the cruise ship crew. either of these two would have made the movie feel cohesive and help it separate from other eat-the-rich movies
#i would have loved to see the dynamic between the white vs the filipino service workers#the first act of this movie was so boring#but the INTRO of the balenciaga and h&m was so funny i truly thought this movie was gonna be goos#and the class commentary was so surface level its so sad

Hi Edmalyn,
This is me, your alter ego. While I watch you, it’s clear that you’re not okay. I know you’re pretending to be fine, but deep down, you’re really not.
Sigh, Ed, if only we could rewind time, you would have a much better chance of passing the Civil Service exam. But we can’t. It’s already happened. It’s hard to accept because I know you’re aware of how much effort you put into studying. There’s nothing wrong with reviewing, because at least you learned something, right?
Talking about your disappointments, I know you really wanted to pass, especially since you already have a backer. That would’ve made things much easier, wouldn’t it?
I don’t know what went wrong or why this happened. Of all people, why did it have to be you who had to suffer? I mean, haven’t you gone through enough hardship already? What more do you need to prove while enduring this pain? Isn’t it enough? Really?
Even now, I’m still puzzled and can never understand why someone who studies so diligently would still fail. It makes me wonder, what could have possibly gone wrong for you to fall short again?
Ed, I know you feel pressured because your friends have achieved so much, while you feel like you’re still stuck. But please, don’t give up. There are still people who support you. I’m your alter ego, and there’s Mama, Lola, and your friend Cloney. If only you knew, there are still people who believe in you.
Ed, I know there are moments when everything seems pointless—when you question if all the effort and sacrifices are even worth it. The doubt creeps in, making you wonder if you’ll ever be enough or if you’ll ever get past this phase of constant struggle. But, remember, just because you’re facing setbacks doesn’t mean you’re failing at life. It means you’re growing through life. Growth isn’t always easy or pleasant; sometimes, it comes with tears, heartache, and uncertainty.
You might feel like giving up would be easier, that walking away from this battle would bring some relief. But deep down, you know that the things you care about are worth the fight. You have a vision for your future, and even if it feels blurry right now, it’s still there, waiting for you to step into it.
Every time you pick yourself up after a disappointment, you’re proving your strength. It’s in those moments of pain and discouragement that you’re truly building the resilience you need for life’s greatest challenges. Those moments are shaping you into the person who can overcome not just this, but anything life throws your way.
The truth is, success doesn’t always come to those who have the perfect circumstances or the easiest path. It often comes to those who refuse to surrender, who get back up despite how many times they’ve been knocked down. And that’s exactly who you are, Ed—someone who doesn’t back down from a fight. You’ve shown time and time again that you’re willing to go the extra mile, and one day, the world will acknowledge that perseverance.
It’s easy to feel overwhelmed when you think about all the dreams you have yet to reach. But don’t let the enormity of your goals scare you. Instead, focus on the small victories—the times you chose to study instead of giving up, the days you pushed yourself to keep going when everything felt like a heavy weight. Those little wins are the building blocks to something greater, even if it’s hard to see that now.
You’ve made it through tough days before, Ed. You’ve endured moments where you felt you had nothing left to give, yet you found a way to keep moving forward. That resilience is your superpower, and it will guide you through this. Let the challenges inspire you to be even more determined, even more committed to your journey. You’re not starting from zero; you’re carrying with you every lesson, every effort, and every step you’ve already taken.
Don’t be afraid to lean on the people who care about you—your mom, Lola, Cloney, and even me, your alter ego. We’re here to remind you that you’re not alone in this fight. We see your efforts and the courage it takes to keep going, even when it feels like the world is against you. There is strength in letting others support you; you don’t have to carry the burden all by yourself.
Ed, the world may not always play fair, and life may present you with hurdles that seem insurmountable. But that doesn’t mean you aren’t worthy of the success you’re striving for. It doesn’t mean that the dreams you have in your heart aren’t meant for you. Sometimes, the journey is just longer and harder than expected, but that doesn’t mean you won’t arrive at your destination.
Promise yourself that you will continue, even if it’s one small step at a time. Promise yourself that you won’t let this setback be the end of your story. The world is filled with stories of people who stumbled many times before they reached greatness. Yours will be no different. In the end, what will matter most is that you never gave up on yourself.
Edmalyn, you are stronger than the doubts, more resilient than the disappointments, and braver than you realize. Keep believing that better days are coming because they are. And when they do, you’ll look back and understand that this was all part of the journey that shaped you into someone who can conquer anything.
Take heart, Ed. Your time will come. And when it does, it will be even sweeter because of everything you’ve been through. You will rise from this, stronger and more determined than ever before.
You are not defined by this setback. You are defined by how you rise from it.
I’m here, Ed. Even if it feels like no one else understands, I do. I’m the voice that’s been with you through every trial, the one that encourages you to keep fighting, even when it seems pointless. I believe in you because I know the kind of person you are—someone who doesn’t quit, someone who keeps showing up despite the setbacks.
Keep going, Ed. Your story isn’t over. The failures don’t mean you’re not good enough; they’re just a part of your journey. And as long as you’re still willing to fight, there’s hope. The best is yet to come, and I’ll be here with you, every step of the way.
You are not alone. You have the strength to get through this, and one day, you’ll look back and see how every struggle prepared you for something greater. You are loved, Ed, and your dreams are still worth fighting for. Keep believing in yourself, because I always will.
You’re going to make it. I believe in you.
