I like magic in comics, but some mages are superior to others. Doctor Strange, Doctor Fate, Felix Faust, etc. Now they're the types of magicians i can appreciate. Arcane symbols, incense and crystals and ancient gods. This is the most interesting type of magic, because it's almost like exploring a hidden world of gods and monsters. Doctor Strange regularly deals with the dimensional planes, with godlike beings like Dormammu, Eternity and the Vishanti. It certainly helps that his magic is fun to pronounce and speak out loud. The Marvel world of magical beings is fun, because of all the names Stan Lee made up. The Hoary Hosts of Hoggoth, the Vishanti, the Crimson Bands of Cyttorak, etc.

Doctor Fate and Felix Faust don't have nearly as many good unique phrases (although doctor fate does have nabu and some interesting plays on ancient egypt), but they have rhyming chants and curses and spells. If someone is casting a spell, I want it to be in the form of either ancient languages or rhyming poems. I insist that Zatanna and Constantine and all them do it wrong. Magic doesn't need stupid backwards speech, or a feeling of mundaneness and cynicism. We need cloaks, orbs, amulets, incense, chants, gods, ancient history and a sense of flair.

In ur dc ocs, (the one married to Clark), Conner would be like brother in law I think because Clark considers Conner like a brother

maybe in most DC stuff Clark seems him as a brother figure, but in my OC's universe him and Felix see Connor as their adopted son. Someone who needs a loving family and a teacher as his powers grow.
