You know how cats sometimes put themselfs in front of you and if you are not careful you trip because of them?
Well, i think fawn!Glinda does the same thing with Elphie.
Little thing is so happy to see her mama, she bleats at her and put herself in front of Elphaba because she wants attention.
But oh poor Elphaba, didnt react in time and she is now in the floor, and of course fawn!Glinda doesnt see this as a bad thing, the fawn now will procced to lick Elphaba's face very gently

Okay I want to talk about this moment between Morrible and Glinda for a sec because it adds such a wonderfully sinister layer to a scene that is otherwise a triumphant defining moment for Elphaba, and it sets up the dynamics for Part 2 so perfectly.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
At this point, we are in the thick of “Defying Gravity.” Everyone’s attention is on Elphaba - and rightfully so, she’s up there declaring war on the Wizard, displaying incredible feats of magic, of course everyone’s attention is on her.
…Everyone, except Morrible.
Morrible has realized that Plan A was a bust, but rather than panicking, she’s already worked over Plans B through Z in her head and has realized that Glinda, not Elphaba, is actually the key figure here. Glinda is actually the best thing that could have happened to them.
Mind you, Morrible hates Glinda. She thinks Glinda is vapid and attention-seeking and completely without talent. It would be extremely easy for her to brand Glinda as an accomplice to Elphaba, have the guards drag her off, imprison her, never have to deal with her again, nice and neat.
Instead, while everyone else is focused on Elphaba, Morrible only has eyes for Glinda. She zeroes in on her, releases her, and comforts her, because she understands what no one else understands, which is that yes, that’s great that the Wizard now has an enemy to unify his people against, but they also need a symbol of hope, something that is the exact antithesis to Elphaba, something to keep everyone at extremes.
The Wizard himself can’t really be a symbol of hope, because the key to his success is that he remains shrouded in mystery, and yes people think he’s wonderful, but there’s a level of uncertainty and intimidation to him. He is Oz the Great and Terrible, and everyone’s preeeeeetty sure he’s a good guy, but if you have someone like Elphaba out there - who Morrible knows from experience is very smart, very articulate, and has her own sort of magnetism - there’s a potential that she could turn at least enough people against the Wizard to make things very inconvenient.
So what they need, now that they have an enemy, is to have an equally magnetic figurehead representing the Wizard who embodies all these one-dimensional ideas of goodness, someone for the public to adore and fawn over so the association between Wizard and Goodness is crystal clear.
And by bringing Glinda along, Elphaba has unknowingly served that figurehead up on a platter.
Glinda is everything Elphaba isn’t, from personality, to appearance - Morrible has already set Elphaba up by calling her green skin an “outward manifestorium of her twisted nature,” which paves the way for Glinda, who is the perfect conventional beauty, to be an “outward manifestorium” of pure goodness.
Morrible realizes they need these two lightning rods of Absolute Evil and Absolute Good in order to manipulate people - fear alone isn’t enough; the only way to effectively radicalize the populace is to make sure there is no gray area whatsoever, no room for question: you're either good, or you’re evil. And the Wizard alone isn’t a strong enough representation of “goodness” when by virtue of existing, he has to remain in the shadows. Glinda on the other hand? With her looks and her charm and her openness and her ability to expertly win over a crowd? Perfect for the role.
Now the tricky part for Morrible is taking into consideration that Glinda and Elphaba love each other. But we also know from earlier scenes that Morrible is a master at manipulating emotions. Right from the start when Elphaba is having trouble with her magic, Morrible casually brings up the “Animals should be seen and not heard” disturbance from class, spoon-feeding her just enough to get Elphaba upset, triggering her magic, after which Morrible makes sure to give her assurance and praise to keep Elphaba optimistic about her power.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
She’s also aware that Glinda does have quite a bit of influence over Elphaba, because when Elphaba flees, Morrible immediately tasks her with winning her over, rather than simply relying on the guards or even going after Elphaba herself. She knows if anyone has a chance at roping Elphaba back in, it's Glinda.
Tumblr media
Obviously, Glinda isn’t successful in getting her back, but while this puts a dent in Morrible’s plans to get control of Elphaba, it does give her an extra weak spot to exploit in Glinda.
So now, at the height of “Defying Gravity” when Elphaba has officially taken her stand against them, Morrible sees Glinda, and Glinda is at her most vulnerable, her most emotionally fragile. Not only is she heartbroken and in shock, she’s also just witnessed in real time exactly how easy it is to turn an entire nation against someone. She’s scared, she’s powerless. She’s just lost the love of her life her only friend, she has no one to turn to - Morrible has definitely picked up on the fact that even though Glinda has countless people who fawn over her, none of them can be considered a true friend except for Elphaba, which means Glinda is completely isolated. Glinda also has a very limited understanding of the bigger picture of what the Wizard is trying to accomplish, and because she’s never been a victim of the system the way Elphaba has, she is still desperately clinging to the idea that everything will be okay as long as she plays by the rules of the people in power.
She has been perfectly primed for Morrible to begin manipulating, not through violence or intimidation, but by offering her comfort when no one else would - when not even Glinda’s only friend would - when no one else is even paying attention to Glinda, because they have the very real and present threat of Elphaba quite literally hanging over them. In this moment, Morrible chooses Glinda, which Glinda has been striving for since the beginning. Elphaba has chosen her principles, the Wizard has chosen his enemy, but Morrible has chosen Glinda, and in this moment of being so alone and so afraid and so betrayed, that makes all the difference.
We also get kind of a parallel shot too - Elphaba really sealed her fate the second her hand closed around the broom. But here, Glinda seals her fate when she gives in and reciprocates Morrible’s hold on her.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
THIS is the moment that sets us up for Part 2, with Elphaba and Glinda as our lightning rods for Absolute Evil and Absolute Good, but more to the point, it makes it clear that they’ve BOTH been used, they’ve BOTH played right into these respective roles Morrible and the Wizard need in order to be successful - even if it wasn’t how Morrible originally planned for things to go.
I just love it, because “Defying Gravity” is Elphaba’s song - it’s triumphant, and it’s heartbreaking, and it’s everything a defining moment should be for a character. But by injecting this little moment between Morrible and Glinda into the scene, we also get an underlying current of dread because we know we’re about to see the consequences of Elphaba’s defiance versus Glinda’s compliance and how both serve to benefit the Wizard/Morrible’s propaganda.
TL;DR - when I said "I want to talk about this scene between Morrible and Glinda for a sec" I clearly meant "I'm gonna write a whole essay. Like a nerd."

Felix at Shiz || LFX WICKED AU
Tumblr media
The sunlight spilled into the common room at Shiz, casting a warm glow over the polished floors and the elegantly upholstered furniture. You sat by the window, the morning light catching on your quill as it scratched across your Sorcery notes. The day was already perfect, as it always should be—bright, orderly, and completely under your control.
“Good morning, Glinda.”
You glanced up from your notes, your quill pausing midair. Felix stood a few steps away, clutching a small stack of books. His silver hair caught the light in a way that made it gleam, and there was a shy, lopsided smile on his face. He looked like he was trying to act casual, but the faint nervous energy in his posture gave him away.
“Felix,” you said, with a polite but distant smile. He was harmless, after all. “What brings you here so early? Don’t tell me you’ve taken a sudden interest in studying.”
His laugh was soft, self-deprecating. “Caught me. I was just passing through and… well, you looked like you might need some company.”
“Company?” you repeated, arching a brow. “I can assure you, I don’t need company. I’m perfectly fine on my own, thank you very much.”
“Of course you are,” Felix said, quickly sitting in the chair across from you. “But even the most dazzling people could use a little conversation now and then.”
You rolled your eyes, though the corners of your lips twitched in amusement. He wasn’t like the others at Shiz, the ones who swarmed around you, eager to curry favor. Felix was… different. He wasn’t trying too hard. He just sat there, calm and unbothered, like he was genuinely happy just to be near you.
“So,” he said, nodding toward your notes. “Big project? Let me guess—you’re planning to knock the professors off their feet with your brilliance?”
You smirked, leaning back in your chair. “Naturally. Though, to be fair, it doesn’t take much effort.”
He laughed, the sound light and unguarded, and for a moment, you felt caught off guard. You weren’t used to this. Most people fawned over you or tried to impress you. Felix just… sat there, watching you like you were the most interesting thing in the room, but not in a way that felt suffocating.
“You know,” he said after a pause, leaning forward just slightly, “you make it look so easy. Being… well, you. It’s kind of incredible.”
You blinked, your quill still hovering midair. His words weren’t the same kind of flattery you were used to. They weren’t calculated or shallow. They felt real—almost too real—and you could feel the warmth creeping up your neck.
“Well,” you said, recovering with a practiced air of confidence, “it is a talent. One not everyone can manage, of course.”
“I believe it,” Felix said with a soft grin. He glanced at the books in his hands, a flicker of hesitation crossing his face. “I should probably let you get back to work. Wouldn’t want to distract you.”
You tilted your head, watching him as he stood. “You’re not as much of a distraction as you think, Felix.”
He chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck. “Ill take that as a compliment.”
As he turned to leave, something made you call after him. “Felix?”
He stopped and looked back at you, his expression curious and a little hopeful.
“You’re not… completely insufferable,” you said, letting the words hang in the air.
His grin widened, and for the briefest moment, you thought you saw a hint of pink on his cheeks. “Thanks, Glinda. I’ll take that as a win.”
You watched him disappear down the hall, your quill forgotten as you stared after him. He wasn’t like Fiyero, with his careless charm and easy confidence. Felix was something else entirely—kind, genuine, and maybe just a little too endearing for his own good. You shook your head, a small smile tugging at your lips as you turned back to your notes.

Aight let's hear the thoughts on the difference between wicked the film and play lol 🙈 I saw the tags and I'm intrigued
Ok so disclaimer, it has been a long time since I watched the play or any of the bootlegs so I might be forgetting some details, but I did used to watch the bootlegs all the time and saw the play when I was in the US, and Wicked was even my foray into writing fanfiction so it's always had a very special place in my heart.
I will say to start that I really loved the movie and thought it was incredibly fun. I love that they adapted it in a way that embraced the spectacle potential of the stage play, and while there are obviously going to be some things I prefer from the stage play (as a long time fan of it), I still think it was an incredibly well done adaptation.
The one biggest difference though, I felt, was in the portrayal of Elphaba. Initially I couldn't really put my finger on what felt off about it aside from the fact that they had her crying a lot more than I remember. But after discussing the movie with some friends who had never seen the play, one girl said that she felt Elphaba's turn-around into risking it all for the Animals felt too sudden. That was kinda when it struck me — she wasn't as angry as she was in the original.
In the play, Elphaba is incredibly angry by the injustice of being treated like she's an outsider just for the way she looks, and when she sees the Animals being treated the same way, she feels an immediate kinship with them. The Elphaba of the play is angry yet resigned (her 'I'm Not That Girl' is more of a resigned 'this was bound to happen' vs. the sad realisation moment the movie made it out to be). She's sarcastic, she's loud. She first greets Fiyero by shouting at him and whacking him on the head with a book. She is hurt and sad also (of course) but it is buried so deep that it is only Glinda that actually sees it, making the Ozdust dance moment the impactful moment that it is.
I then came across a discussion on Reddit where someone was saying a similar thing — that Elphaba wasn't as angry as she was in the play. But someone else responded with the fact that 'it would have been hard to watch a 3 hour movie of someone being so angry.' Another commenter bemoaned the fact that they mellowed both the main characters down because they didn't want 'two unlikeable female leads.' And that kinda got me thinking about how they likely 'softened' her to make her more 'likeable' and that kinda felt off to me... because that kinda goes against the point? The female rage is a point of the story that struck a chord with me. It is a story that allows it's lead to be angry, JUSTIFIES it. There are angry men who have led countless movies and shows and who are celebrated and fawned over and embraced, but having an angry young woman in a lead role is risky? I never found Elphaba unlikeable and clearly neither did most of the other people who saw the play (would it be the success it was if they did?) but now that it's reaching a wider audience were they afraid making her too 'angry' would make fewer people root for her? I do think classifying Elphaba as an 'angry' character is a disservice to the nuanced nature of the character, but I did feel like the movie highlighted the sad/hurt aspects of her character more than they did the side that is angry at injustice, but still strangely idealistic and resigned, still believing till the very end that there is an easy solution and the Wizard can just 'fix' everything that's wrong. And so while I do love the adaptation, I feel a bit cheated that they gave us a version of Elphaba with some of her more sharpened edges sanded off, so to speak. I also think the reason her 'turn around' felt too abrupt was because we don't get to see her anger. If you don't see how angry she feels at the world, you don't understand how close to the surface this outburst was, just waiting to bubble out of her. You don't get to see why it was so easy to paint her as a 'Wicked Witch' for a moment of passion when she's been treated like crap her whole life and had to hide behind his anger in order to survive. You don't truly understand why she was willing to risk it all for the Animals because you don't understand how this is her moment of finally deciding to let her rage free and USE it to make the stand she's been wanting to make her whole life.
I still feel it was a brilliant adaptation, I just felt like I missed that aspect of it a lot and it made her character feel a little less nuanced to me. But I could be forgetting certain details, or remembering wrong, or just be plain off — happy to listen to opposing viewpoints.

Oh wow, your comments about Quasimodo are so spot on! (i read your other comments here and there!) and it's something that has ALWAYS bothered me when talking about this movie online (tumblr and tvtropes- they are so conservative sometimes!), people really underestimate and dismiss Quasimodo's feelings as a disabled abuse victim. it feels very insidious that tumblr, who goes on and on about loving 'beauty and the beast' narratives, and privilege yada yada yada, dismiss the main character and fawn over the basic, conformist white man in the movie about outcasts. but they do this so much its not surprising (Wicked and Little Women say hello!)
Thank you!
It does seems as if a lot of online commentary about Quasimodo's relationship with Esmeralda focuses only on Quasimodo as a male (with presumed male privilege and potentially toxic masculinity), and not enough on the fact that he's disabled and has lived a life of isolation and psychological abuse. And Phoebus can't just end up with Esmeralda because she loves him and they're suited to each other – oh no, he has to be the most worthy of her love out of all the men in the story, and Quasimodo can't just be not ready for romance yet, he needs to be less worthy!
I find it especially interesting that when you look at comments from the movie's creative team (as far as I know), when they talk about why Quasi doesn't 'get the girl', none of them say "It's because he objectifies her in a toxic way by seeing her as a perfect angel." That's the answer the Internet always trots out, but the actual creative team (e.g. screenwriter Tab Murphy in his 2021 YouTube interview, or the book The Art of The Hunchback of Notre Dame) always emphasizes "Quasimodo has a crush on Esmeralda, but she really matters to him as a friend, not a love interest. Quasi's greatest desire isn't to 'get the girl,' it's to go out into the world and be accepted, and that's the happy ending he gets."
Of course, the whole fandom narrative of "Phoebus is more worthy" is a backlash against the equally wrongheaded claims of "Quasi should have gotten the girl. The movie seems to say that ugly or disabled people don't deserve love." It's a pendulum-swing from one extreme to another.
It's the same in the other two fandoms mentioned above. Fans of Little Women who idealize Amy and tear down Jo are reacting against other fans who idealize Jo and tear down Amy, while fans Wicked who idealize Glinda are reacting against others who vilify her. They're opposite extremes, but IMHO, they're both wrong.
And in all three cases, it probably all comes down to shipping wars. Some people go to one extreme to insist that their preferred ship should have been canon (Jo/Laurie, Quasimodo/Esmeralda, Elphaba/Glinda), while others defend the canon ship (Amy/Laurie, Phoebus/Esmeralda, Elphaba/Fiyero) and take their defense to the opposite extreme.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS MEAN EVERYTHING
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
a/n - I was really on something today. starting a series and also giving you both povs at once???
enjoy!!
Tumblr media
The moment I saw her, I knew we would not get along.
It was instantaneous, irrational and something I couldn't explain. It wasn't as though I hated her, but something about her chewed on every nerve. It was as if some higher being had gathered everything I despised and sent it down in a pink cloud, just to add on to the burden of already being different.
I tried to trace back to the root of this unexplained dislike. She was charming, admirable. Everything about her seemed designed to draw you in, making it impossible not to gravitate towards her.
The way she glided rather than walked, the way her curls were in the perfect c spiral and how the sun seemed to favour her, casting its glow on her like a spotlight.
But despite having a list of reasons why I should like her or want to be her friend, something about her didn't feel right. It wasn't like I was suspicious of her because every word she spoke was followed by laughter from the crowd, or because people immediately fawned over her—but because beneath it all, it was how superficial it all was.
I could see past it. The slight cracks in the facade as if she was trying so hard to conceal something. That's what made me not like her, the loss of identity and if i watched her long enough, that polished exterior wouldn't be able to hold her true self in. That was the first root of the tree that grew my dislike for her. She is playing a game to cover up her flaws and behind all of it is someone, who like me, had parts they wanted to hide.
I tried to brush it off, dismissing myself from bringing it up again. “I am looking too much into it, like I always do. It didn't matter because we wouldn't even interact” But then a rhythmic knock boomed on the door.
Who was it?
It wasn't like anyone wanted to see me, Nessa left me to start her “new life”. I stayed silent hoping that whoevers outside realised they stopped by the wrong door. Mostly because I was too tired for the whole dramatic gasp and awkward walk that people would do when they saw me as if I was an eyesore? It never made sense to me why they did that. I was drawn out of my thoughts when the soft click of the door handle echoed through the dust filled room. I didn't know they were that persistent to come in. The door creaked open still made it unclear who it was. Suddenly the door widened and there she was.
Glinda.
A pink satchel with subtle flowers marked in it at her side. Behind her stood an army of girls, each one holding a pink trunk adorned with the letter G, encrusted with sparkling diamonds that caught the light as they moved. I should've expected it was her behind the door, the moment it creaked open I noticed the scent of entitlement and florals bathed in honey oozed from it.
“Oh!” she said mid step “You're my roommate?” She asked as if I would be willingly in a sitting room and bed that is not mine. She stared at me then a smile that was rehearsed-like formed on her lips. The kind of smile you give to someone to invite them to be your friend but only to have them follow you around.
“Looks like you've already claimed your side of the room” Her voice is playful but sharp. She waltzes into the dorm with her heels thudding beneath her, throwing out a list of order where her things should be placed. The girls flooded each area of the room, taking over my side of the dorm placing her things. Every passing moment the room became more pink but my eyes were fixed on her, trying my best to make sense of the situation and possibility that the one person I was trying to avoid, let alone share a room with, was my new roommate. Unnoticed, I realised I was staring at her every move. It would be seen as glaring from any other point of view but I couldn't shake off the absolute coincidence.
Glinda turned around to face me with her eyes roving around my side of the room. Our eyes finally met and she tilted her head “Where are your things?” She says raising her eyebrows “It was a last minute decision to come here” I said lowly She laughed softly “I hate doing things last minute, it's not built for me personally, I prepare years in advance” Her words were followed by a slight chuckle as if she found her perfection amusing.
The room fell into an uncomfortable silence.
“Not much of a talker, huh?” She turned away from me to walk towards the balcony opening the door. “Don't worry, I don't know how I am able to even function in such a dull stuffy room too”. Cold air gushed in replacing the old one. Maybe she was right. I did feel as though I wasn't suffocating anymore. She leaned against the frame with her eyes glancing back at me. Averting my eyes elsewhere, I could feel her eyes burning into my side, thinking of another one of her impossible questions to throw at me. Maybe if i ignored her long enough, she would give up but the more i avoided her eye contact and stayed silent made her see me more as something to poke at. Maybe it was my lack of interest that bothered her or that she finally understood what not being the centre of centre felt like. I don't know. I felt bad that I made the atmosphere so thick with tension but I tried my best to not answer back, to not let my irritant leak through my words. Suddenly the words “Do you think this is fair” seeped from my lips.
“What’s fair?” She looked at me with an expression that was unreadable.
I motioned to the trunks that sat beside my feet, “You hijacking my side of the room to fit your things”
Her lips quivered into a smirk like she was enjoying the thrill of getting under my skin, that I was finally talking to her. And that's what I did. I fell into the trap that I didn't want to be in the first place. “You don't have things?”
I wasn't normally the type to have verbal altercations. Something inside me was triggered to the point I didn't want to hold back.
“So? This is a shared space, not yours alone”
“Move it then” She shot back, crossing her arms, as if she was daring me.
“Why would I move your things” annoyance danced in my words.
“Well it's only me with the things here? It's not my fault that you came unprepared. Why should i make space for things that aren't here?”
My eyebrows furrowed. One because I didn't understand her question and secondly because she really just asked me why she should make space for others? I tried making sense of her logic or reasoning and there wasn't. There was something about the way she spoke, out of everything she hid she didn't try to hide her entitlement to everything that was around her. Her friends, the room, the space. It simmered my blood. I wasn't prepared for this. For her.
“It's nothing to do with being unprepared, you're just too excessive-” She stopped me before letting me get my point across. “Stop!” SIlence loomed through the air. “I don't like being spoken to like that” I couldn't believe that's what she wanted to say out of all things. Glinda the God-send angel gets sad when people treats her like how she treats people. I would have laughed at that very moment but I had to keep it in. “Then stop speaking to me like I owe you the space”
Silence fell between us both.
She let out a soft hum. “Fine. Have your space. But don't expect me to make this easy for you” She stormed out with her chin held high and slamming the door behind her. I stared at the door playing out the scenes that just happened in my head and each time, her final words made a smile creep on my face. Glinda threatened to make my life hard. This was going to be a long year with this princess.

Wicked OC Introductions
They are finally all here after a few weeks of agonizing over details and decisions, my Wicked ocs!! (tagging @rose-of-oz @randomestfandoms-ocs @dancingsunflowers-ocs )
Cerulia Morrible (Lauren Tsai FC), Elphaba Thropp & Glinda Upland ship. The plot bunny posted here, Cerulia is Madame Morrible's daughter who is not as talented in sorcery as her mother and as a result is largely ignored. Which makes it very annoying, and makes Cerulia very jealous, that Elphaba gets to learn from her and that Galinda is always asking Cerulia about her.
Tumblr media
Nellary Jump (Nicola Coughlan FC), Elphaba Thropp & Fiyero Tigelaar ship. The plot bunny posted here, Nellary is a very outspoken activist with everything, but most notably Animal rights. She is a favorite student of Doctor Dillamond's, which is why she speaks to Elphaba after class one day and led to her avoiding the spell with the poppies, which means she gets time with Fiyero as well.
Tumblr media
Ervic Langwidere (Gregg Sulkin FC), Fiyero Tigelaar & Glinda Upland ship. Ervic from Quadling Country is much smarter than he appears. Despite the fact that he is studying law at Shiz, in order to fit in more with the student body, and Galinda and her friends in particular, he often takes to acting more like an airhead even if it becomes a detriment with some of his professors and behavior during class. Though he also houses a secret wish to have majored in sorcery, which he had tried to talk to Madame Morrible about at the start of term to no avail.
Tumblr media
Evoldo Tigelaar (Patrick Gibson FC), Glinda Upland ship. The slightly younger prince of Winkie Country, Evoldo has always been close to his older brother Fiyero. But, he didn't quite follow the same motto of just dancing through life. Evoldo paid much more attention to their lessons in school and from tutors, learning about the country and Oz itself. Still, he wasn't as eager to be out in the country where many knew he was just the spare prince. So it wasn't that much of a surprise when he decided to attend Shiz, able to get a good education and fly more under the radar. He meets Galinda Upland, who he is quickly enamored with, but that seems to be dashed when his brother begins to attend.
Tumblr media
Cobalt Pompadore (Jordan Fisher FC), Fiyero Tigelaar & Elphaba Thropp & Glinda Upland ship. Cobalt of Winkie Country used to attend Royal Winkie Academy with his best friend Fiyero, however once he got the opportunity to attend Shiz University, he opted for that. Which is where he met Elphaba Thropp, who had his attention for more reasons than just her green skin, and Galinda Upland, who wanted his attention until Fiyero decides to join him at Shiz. Which can lead to life changing events for all of them
Tumblr media
Ozma Maguire (Danielle Galligan FC), Elphaba Thropp ship. Princess Ozma of Oz, she should be the ruler of Oz. But when the Wizard arrived to their country, when he was able to read from the Grimmerie, a feat her family could not accomplish in many years, many Ozians started to care less about the royal family. Still, there were some that did. And Ozma grew up close with the Wizard, he often did magic tricks for her when she was young as he fed her lines about how it was hard for him to be so wonderful sometimes but he appreciated her and her family's support, she had to believe him. Questioning never worked. She was sent to Shiz to be kept under Madame Morrible's eye, where many were happy to fawn over her. But she kept finding herself drawn to the girl with green skin.

Elvira Bourne (Simone Ashley FC), Fiyero Tigelaar ship. One of Nessarose's tutors growing up, Elvira never really enjoyed Governor Thropp's treatment of either of his daughters and did her best to be kind to both whenever she interacted with them. But Governor Thropp was still her boss, so when he arranged for her to attend Shiz with Nessarose, she couldn't say no. Both because it was a good school for her and because there was no way to say no. But she had already made an agreement with Nessa that she would still make sure this was a fresh start for her, which meant it was a slight wrench in both of their plans when the governor also made Elphaba stay. And more of a wrench when a prince joins the student body and seems to find an interest in her.

glinda’s father, merlan arduenna, was highmuster (mayor) of the village of frottica, the northernmost settlement in the pertha hills. her mother, larena upland, was the daughter of the upper uplands; a minor house in the grand scheme of noble gillikinese families, but a noble one nonetheless. as their only child, she was deeply doted upon and fawned over to the point of excessive- nothing was too much for their dear girl.
