a funny thing about having a Problematic Blorbo is that you'll periodically come across a post along the lines of "um let's not forget that [Blorbo] is a bad person..." listing their various crimes, and if you have a modicum of intellectual honesty you find yourself nodding along and saying yeah it's true... but it's the greyness of their character that makes them so compelling... At the same time though you have a little Saul Goodman in your ear going "your honor in their defense: who cares like omfgggg who caresssssss like come onnnnnn"

I loooooooooove your brighter days fic so much — you’ve built such a lived-in world that feels connected to canon but also standalone. I’m just, like, dreadingggggg the moment elphie realizes Glinda had the procedure done 😬 swimming in angst. ANYWHO this ask is actually just me praising you for your ability to make Glinda feel real and whole while also having her be the source of so much comedy. I think that’s such a hard balance to strike and it can be so easy to turn her into a caricature, but you don’t! Her naming all the plants and praising the Galinda one, but secretly being worried because Galinda The Plant hadn’t bloomed? GENIUS. The scene where she keeps insisting Elphie couldn’t lift her (clearly wanting to be lifted) had me CACKLING and there are so many rich moments like that in all your gelphie fics. I’ll just be living my life and will remember her trying and failing to be a femme fatale or putting googly eyes on the plants and it makes me so happy. Your writing is beautiful and thoughtful (Am I No Good will always be one of my favorite fics) and a tad painful at times but also SO effortlessly funny, and I wanted you to know that! Writing Glinda is a crazy juggling act that I have a lot of fun with, though it’s sort of fun in the way that juggling a chainsaw and a clutch of newly-hatched baby birds would be fun - and especially with Brighter Days it’s like…girl don’t drop that chainsaw. don’t drop that little baby bird. or that one. or that one. or that one. So I’m completely over the moon that you’re enjoying my interpretation of her, she’s my baby. My very very damaged dumb brilliant terrible wonderful baby.

asking because your icon is Harley Quinn from Birds of Prey... have u watched the Robert Pattinson Batman movie or the new Superman movie that just came out?

I actually haven’t seen either one yet! I’m VERY behind in my superhero watching. And reading. I’m sort of a sporadic superhero enjoyer tbh, not really a die-hard. Harley Quinn happens to be a fave from the comics and I loved the Birds of Prey movie, (SO underrated honestly it's so goofy and so fun and so fully embraces the comic book vibe). But I definitely want to see the new Superman movie and a friend of mine keeps telling me I have to watch the R-Patts Bats, so they're both on my radar.
