ghost talk
So let's say that "ghosts" do reflect the way they are remembered by whoever is experiencing them (for example, you might remember your grandma best when she's in the garden, so her visage is sunny and bright even if you see her ghost in a dark room).
This is obviously not great when it comes to Junko, because she's generally remembered as something extraordinary and powerful. Yes, unnaturally straight teeth and long legs and all that creepy model shit, but also, she was charismatic, sweet, strong, alluring, challenging, unbeatable, depending on what she needed to be to manipulate any person.
Hajime isn't one who experiences the Haunting too much, but if he did, he'd probably be the only person to see her as she, to the unaffected, generally was; a pretty teenage girl who thought she was invincible and had a talent for getting into your head. Nothing more.
#not an art#I am thinking about ghosts tonight#And Lake Mungo! One of my fave movies ever. Watch it if you wanna

All those small moments Tobi came up with like
I totally wondered myself when in concert what he did when he ran off the stage every time and look, it's all part of the movie! He planned it all along
He even makes fun of all the costume changes
Like when he's confused about the sudden Year Zero outfit and makes Eww when he sees he holds the cross UP lol
The way his parents seem to scare him about death only to scare us
How you barely notice all the times he throws the mic from one hand to another by the way the movie is edited UNLESS you give that special attention and see how it's suddenly in the other hand (I watched it twice okay)
That time when he's on the drum pedestal and we see him from the back as he looks over his shoulder to us
"When I first came here to be an entertainer ... well, that wasn't ME, but you know what I mean ..." Might be me but I love how he lets his own self shine throw the personas sometimes. He's so touching and caring beneath all that
Tress Biyan for fuck's sake
My utter confusion about the red demon windows during Square Hammer, what does that mean?? They were monochrome white the other events -
Remembering the striding away after the finale was the sexy teaser when the movie webpage was first announced only to learn he falls on his face next thing (his self irony is so charming)
#rite here rite now#rite here right now spoilers#ghost#the band ghost#just for starters the list is endless and surely you all posted them by now lol#i so need a physical copy of the movie because the limited album setlist is so choppy#i thought i just miss fave songs but no you really notice some songs/moments are left out of the course -.-#but I really really do miss jesus he knows me. it rocks so hard live and absolution even made on the live album (again)#sadly the band gets little attention in the movie - not even taking a bow#and what happened to the kaisarion walking up the stairs part that CHANGED MY LIFE

y'all having friends in your 40s is really fucking hard. either they're busy with their partners and/or kids or they're self-important to the point you can't deal with it or you're tired and dealing with chronic illness or hermiting or you have really specific special interests that they don't share or you outgrow them.
i have chosen to remain single and child-free because i prefer to spend my time and money how i want to spend it. and now my circle of friends has dwindled to a couple of people. and i'm not sad about it. i am a bit worried i'm turning into a cranky bitch, but i'm also not worried because i feel [mostly] content. something wild and wonderful happened when i turned 40. i finally got some fucking boundaries and put myself first after a lifetime of people pleasing (i still do this but i'm deconstructing; making progress, though!).
#personal post#i am not a social butterfly#a few years ago i was surrounded by people#life sure changes#40s#the best decade so far#cranky hag in progress#it's ok to say goodbye to friendships#or pause them#i'd rather write fanfic than listen to another one of my friends complain about their marriage or parenthood#i supported my friends fully and listened to all their problems and they listened to mine#but it got to the point where i really just want to watch my fave shows and movies and do fun things and have deep conversations#about ghosts and aliens and the universe and shit#and they want to talk about gow chad left them with the kids once again to go hiking with his buddies#again and again and again#i have nothing to add to that conversation other than “i hope you find peace”#and now i relish all my alone time after distancing myself from that#i still care about them and hope they find their peace....from a distance#we don't really talk about these things#or we are shamed for them#or people can't get past women being child-free and single and also fulfilled so we never get to this topic#i'm gonna talk about it though#friendships can be hard at any age but 40s are definitely unique

I was tagged by @covfefeships. :3 Thank you!
Here's her post! <3
* Do you make your bed? Sometimes… Rarely.
* Favorite number? 6!
* What’s your job? Store Shift Lead
* Can you parallel park? Not at all. Took me 3 tries to get my license back in the day because I kept messing up the parallel parking. On the third time the woman said “You know what? It’s good enough!”
* Do you think aliens are real? Absolutely.
* Can you drive a manual car? I can barely drive an automatic, so no.
* What’s your guilty pleasure? I try not to feel guilt or shame when doing things that bring me pleasure/happiness. But I like cracking my neck and spine even though I shouldn’t. :3
* Tattoos? No, I have this skin condition that makes any sort of cyst or pimple tunnel and get infected, so piercings and tattoos are out of the question, unfortunately, for now.
* Favorite color? Black, red, and purple!
* Favorite types of music? Indie, alt, rock… lots of stuff!
* Do you like puzzles? Yes, but I never have time to do them. I like getting them done in one sitting. Puzzle games like Professor Layton, Crosswords, and Sudoku I like as well but I’m bad at them. :)
* Any phobias? I don’t think so? I’m a very anxious person so a lot of things make me feel uneasy. I might fear the unknown, but that’s not a real phobia, so, nope!
* Favorite childhood sport? Tag was my favorite game. I liked volleyball when I played it in elementary school. But the other sports we did in gym I did not like at all, really. I was a very obese kid so sports were really hard for me. But when I enjoyed them my weight was less of an issue for me, in my head at least.
* Do you talk to yourself? Yep! It’s helpful.
* What movies do you adore? Phantom of The Opera, The Wizard of Oz, Heidi (Shirley Temple film!) the old Scooby Doo movies too. Those were my childhood faves that are still in my top ten. But I mostly adore watching horror and sci-fi nowadays. OOO and Constantine.
* Coffee or Tea? Coffee. Yeah. Too much.
* First thing you wanted to be growing up? Teacher, if I recall correctly. Or a doctor. I might have wanted to be a singer, artist, or writer. No idea, anymore.
Tagging the usual people. No pressure, of course! This was fun. :3 feel free to do this is you aren’t tagged as well!

I don't care how many times I rewatch Dead Silence. I will never stop being absolutely enchanted by how stunning Judith Roberts looked. I mean, I know she's, like, always stunning, but something about the makeup and her posture and expressions and her voice, ugh. Still creeps me out, and this movie remains one of the very few horror movies to ever freak me out even a little. I love it. Nearly 20 years and countless times having watched it (plus all the bts stuff from my original dvd copy) and it still makes me want to watch like 🫣 at times *chef's kiss*
#this movie is also why i had such high hopes for James Wan's movies#like. yeah. I'd seen Saw of course#but Dead Silence has so many of my favorite things#it's got that local legend folklore ghost thing it's got a rhyme it's got a big nearly empty house#it's got a crumbling ruin of a once grand building it's got those old school ghost story vibes#i fell instantly in love and couldn't wait to see what else Wan came out with#I've been disappointed by everything since lmao 😂😭#but dead silence is still an all time fave. it's perfect and i love it so much

I really should know better than to watch dumb romcoms while I'm 90% sure I'm ovulating.
This time it was Netflix's Love in the Villa trying to make me cry.
#is this tmi? maybe. but this is the tmi site.#look ok romeo and juliet holds a special place in my heart and not because i've read the play#i've never ever read the play at all#but i've worked on 3 different productions of it in different formats and each time was a turning point in my career#so it means a lot to me so adding R+J references to this movie's dumb romcom-ness just makes me emotional#i say dumb romcom super super affectionately#literally the last 2 days i had pain that i get every few months right by my right ovary that tends to coincide#with the time that my period app says i'm ovulating. i don't actually pay attention to ovulation since i don't need to.#(yay being perpetually single and somewhere on the asexual spectrum)#but if i notice that pain i'll check the app and usually it's within a couple of days of its prediction#and that suddenly made the last few days make a lot of sense since i was like... YEARNING. yearning and longing.#like i realize now that that's probably why 2 or 3 days ago i went into a ramble in the tags of a post#about a conversation i had on a date but the topic was really only sorta related to the actual post but i just kept going#and ruminating on the conversation and our texts afterwards and him ghosting me a couple weeks later#and me simultaneously being like 'eh. he was nice but i'm not hurt.' and also 'WHYYYYYYYYY' over that situation from MONTHS ago#and i think that's why i had a dream 2 days ago the featured the ex of a celebrity crush. all adjacent. to the yearning.#anyway. love in the villa was cute. i'm always here for my knight babies from merlin. i laughed out loud at certain points.#and gasped and aw'd at others and was feeling all the emotions by the end.#on that note. i'm gonna go rewatch Set It Up for the 10 billionth time since it's just unironically one of my faves#and i have some stuff to crochet#oh and today is also the 15 anniversary of the last day of my first period. yes i remember these very specific things.#so add me realizing that fact to all the other weird emotions about ovulation.

A few nights ago, my stepdad put on the Ghost movie, Rite Here Rite Now. I have since been on a binge, listening to a bunch of songs (some familiar to me, some not) and that song Cirice is so good. Like... it's so dark and haunting, and the guitar riff reminds me of some of Metallica's famous intros. So good.
#i love ghost#i also really like the song Rats#it's fun!#my fave aside from Cirice rn is Spillways#also i know it's a tour and not exactly a movie. but that's what i've been calling it#pip talks
