Just to continue from my last post, I really am amazed at how far RWBY has come over the years. Not just the progress with the animation, but all of it- and even if it's not perfect, I really do think the characters are all pretty decent, especially the main team. Weiss had always been my fave growing up, but like I said, seeing Blake in the aftermath of Adam and all that abuse she endured, it really pulled some heartstrings. I never thought much of her as a teen, but she's a pretty deep character and goes so far beyond the cool and collected female lead.

Oh wow! Uhhhh. I wasn’t expecting anyone to ask me this. But I don’t mind it at all! (Also, it’s cool to see a blog I follow interacting w/ me— makes me happy >u<)

In terms of drawing, I mainly enjoy drawing characters from my hyperfixations. (Though, in recent times, I’ve been having trouble with my art. Mainly with motivation -n-)

With writing though, I guess I’d write anything. I don’t really lean towards anything specific. I haven’t found anything that I’ve written so far that I’d post here, but if I do will post it!

Yeah!! I'm always so anxious when I see artists charge like $7 for a fully rendered, full body commission.

Also if it's okay I'd like to add that you don't have to lower the price for every additional character in a commission as well! It's going to take just as much effort to draw each character, so unless that's a sort of marketing deal you wanna use to attract customers, don't do it. Backgrounds should be priced appropriately too!! They're not easy to draw, so stop charging like $5 for a detailed background!!!

A good rule of thumb is to always mention on your commission info/ price sheets that you are entitled to change the price based on the details of the commission. So if your client wants something that is going to require a lot of work, with tons of small details and such, you can ask them to compensate you for it. Make sure to list your refund policies and all commission terms upfront where people can see them, and clarify with your clients one or two times before the order is started so that there is no confusion or room for drama.

Flexibility is important. But protecting yourself and your art is even more so!

I dont know who needs to hear this but your full body commissions are worth more than $20

i love that specific ao3 phenomenon where you get a sudden influx of kudos on a work and it’s clear someone shared your fic but you have no idea who they are or where they shared it. it’s like being a dickensian orphan receiving money from a mysterious benefactor.

There’s nothing quite like when you spend a lot of time working on a bio for a character specifically to fill a wanted connection…… but then suddenly another random character idea pops up and begins to dominate your muse.

my cat has decided to sleep behind the Christmas tree now so she can sleep on the tree skirt

used to be that she would climb up around the base and hide in the tree but we have a fake tree now and she cant get to the base, so she sleeps behind it when no one's around to make of her
