-Just imagine if the Carnegie Hall concert was recorded full-out on videotape like this. And this arrangement of "Come Rain.." is, at the very least, ambitious: a much faster tempo, aggressive brass and bongos, etc. And Judy doesn't just rise to the occasion, she attacks. By the 3rd minute of the song she's in full bloom: using the arms, stabbing the air for emphasis on certain notes, and on the last "shiiiiine," she surprises even herself. A stunning performance.

-She's so in command, and at home there. And her camera technique is phenomenal. Plus, she's so open to her surroundings, and so completely present, that as a viewer I get that thrilling feeling that anything could happen up there.

-This was someone who was 100% on top of her game...and then for this song notched it up to 300%.....I really don't think she thought she would be this good.  She nailed that last note....one of those rare occurences where you're already "that good," but your voice just catches that wave and rides to a crescendo that staggers....

-Just look at the shear determination in her face at 3:05 She was channeling something deep, very deep to be able to finish the song as she did.  I absolutely love the look of shock in her face as she says "oh my goodness" as if she were watching it, in awe, along with us.  Never has there been anyone better and there never will.

I was encouraged to write more comments and make my love known to fanfic writers.

I dont really like commenting. Because im a bit shy and soooo lazy.

Now though. I am writing more comments. And dude. This is so heartwarming. Ya'll need to treat writers better. They are doing the lord's work.

Take for an example, couple of days prior, i was searching for something interesting to read, and found an oneshot quite compelling.

I read it. At the end of it, i was blown away by how good it was. It promised me something and it went beyond my expectations. But then i saw a crime, zero fucking comments!

At that moment, i wasn't feeling up to writing a comment. Because, normally i like to write huge paragraphs. But because im lazy i decided to be brief.

Next day, the author answered that the comment lift their mood for the whole day.

That warmed my heart.

Duuuuuuuude! Write comments! Suport the writers of the fics you like! No need to be something super elaborate. Just give your thoughts. Freak out. Ramble. Ask something. Make theories. Compliment. Make a joke about how you wished to give kudos every chapter but ao3 sucks(not true bby) and won't let you.

Truly. Just. Comment. It can make someone's day. And that is part of the apeal of writing fics. Interacting with people.

Just give love to fanfic writers yall. They deserve this and so much more.

Without thinking, Harry raised his head and pressed his face at the source of the lavender smell, inhaling deeply. Dawn’s fabric softener brought him slowly back to himself. He opened his eyes to see he had his nose buried in Draco’s shoulder.

My Oscar, you're in a bad humor! -- Bette Davis in The Little Foxes

a-Davis’s best film performances were under Wyler’s direction. She should’ve gotten Oscars for all of them, in my opinion, not for nonsense like Baby Jane.

b-She certainly gave three great ones with Wyler. She just was so often inspired, I'd put  a few others of her performances along side them.  Aannd... While I agree that each of her Wyler performances was Oscar-worthy-- so was Hepburn in 38 and 40, Fontaine in 40, Stanwyxk in 41 (for The Lady Eve). Though not more than Davis! Again, as to your main point-- I agree, it is worth saying how great she was with Wyler!

a-I’m really not familiar with the nominees from that era, except for Hepburn, of course. Davis had a tendency to go over the top with other directors, but Wyler kept her true to the character. Then again, she was supposed to be over the top in All About Eve, so it was a great performance. One of Davis’s forgotten film roles was in The Catered Affair. She toned it down, and was very poignant in that picture.

c-Wyler gave Davis artistic discipline, a virtue she badly needed. He pared away the lion's share of her attention-begging mannerisms and made her focus her intensity inward, turning her into a coiled spring of unreleased tension. The result is far and away Davis' finest screen portrayal.

a-The discipline she found with her Wyler performances is something to see. On the right-brained side, Davis's inventive artistry in full flight-- in movies like Dark Victory, All About Eve, Now, Voyager, Dangerous, for me even Baby Jane-- and some others, too--  is dazzling too, even with occasional missteps. It's when she wasn't so inspired or so disciplined, but relied on mannerisms, that she was less interesting. But all her Wylers, and a few others-- are up there with the best fim has given us.

"couldn't resist, could you?" he teases, his voice a low, husky whisper. you chuckle, tracing a finger along his jawline. "you're too cute when you're sleeping," you admit, pressing a kiss to his lips this time. jay pulls you closer, his arms wrapping around you as he sighs contentedly. "i could get used to waking up like this," he says.

"don't apologize, it's the best way to wake up," he says, his eyes twinkling with affection. you giggle, pressing another kiss to his lips. "you're too sweet," you murmur. jake's arms wrap around you tighter, his warmth enveloping you. "stay with me a bit longer," he whispers, burying his face in your neck.

"or maybe you just wanted an excuse to kiss me," he counters, his eyes twinkling with mischief. you grin, not denying it, and press another kiss to his lips. "caught me," you admit. he wraps his arms around your waist, his smile growing. "well, i'm not complaining," he whispers, nuzzling into your neck.

what if i gave rise leo BPD...

his anger manifests in the form of self-sabotage and self harm. he asks donnie to sound proof his room when they get to the new lair so he can wreck it without concerning everyone else. before that he'd sneak to the surface and wreck an already messy alleyway

his self harm is recklessness. he gets hurt in fights as much as he can and still get away with just a "please be more careful" lecture from raph

speaking of raph, his oldest brother is his favorite person. so when raph starts to brush him to the side and distrust him, he doesnt take it well. when he does something to impress raph and all he gets is "finally..." thats when he disappears for hours and comes back home with sore arms and usually some scrapes and many bruises

he becomes a medic because they can't ignore him if he helps them. plus he can get better at hiding his breakdowns if he can take care of his own injuries

he wants to be in the spotlight so bad until the spotlight shines on him and suddenly his skin fits wrong

splinter and raph brush it off as teenage hormones. donnie shuts it out. mikey is the first person to realize leo's moods aren't normal, but he doesnt want to confront the fact the bpd comes from trauma, so he tries to support leo as best he can

april doesnt realize how much leo's mood shifts until she spends a night in the lair and realizes that leo isn't as hyper as he presents himself. he tries to mask, but he's too tired and the sudden silence from leo throws april off. it creates a rift between them. even when leo is happier around april, she knows somethings wrong- knows its not quite as genuine as she thought.

she spends more time around donnie than leo and leo thinks its for the best. eventually all his brothers- all his family prefer spending time with someone thats not him. he tells himself its for the better- the less time they spend around him, the less likely he'll be upset around them and end up making them upset

leo convinces himself he's meant to be alone and puts his all into being the team medic and spends the rest of his time alone and dissociating. he hates being the leader- having everyones eyes on him all the time. watching him. waiting for him to mess up- to act out- to prove they were right not to trust him
