Thalia watched how Nico got his whole divine family,including the step-mom that should hate him (like Hera's treatment towards her because of the cheating) and grand-mother (like what???),to the battle ; and then got to know how Percy convinced Poseidon to help the Gods fighting Typhoon,even with his kindgom and people in danger,knowing full well that Zeus will never do that for her.

Percy and Nico got their dads (and family) to fight for and with them,because even if they are sometimes shitty,they still care enough for their children to actually help them and being involved in their life. The only thing Zeus did for her was turning her into a tree (not even his own tree,because Pines are Poesidon's and not Zeus's) for a couple of years,to prevent her from dying.

Even her brother had the opportunity to fight with their dad in BoO,something that Thalia herself never had. And she probably feels bitter about it,because Poseidon and Hades care for their children,even after the oath was broken,but her dad was never there for her and barely did anything to help her.

this is true for many btvs dynamics but part of the reason that buffygiles hits so hard is that their relationship is lovely and sweet and also pretty bad a lot of the time for a variety of reasons, but mainly that they're both incapable of expressing how much they actually care about each other. in an age of tv where every character is using therapy speak to perfectly communicate to the audience and to their scene partner exactly how they're feeling, realistically bad communication between two emotionally constipated weirdos, one of whom is a very traumatized young person and the other is a middle-aged british man, is honestly pretty refreshing.

Will forever be on the hill of Elrond doesn't hate Aragorn for loving Arwen, neither is he mad at Aragorn for it. Elrond has love Aragorn since he took that boy as part of his family, and he will forever love that little starry eyed boys, looking at him in wonder and endless questions about the world. But the moment he made Aragorn his adopted son is also the moment he had accepted that his Estel will not be forever. A human life, no matter if they're Dunedain born or not, is still too short a life compared to an Elf. Thus, over the years of Elrond raising Aragorn, he had slowly accepted that the little child to whom he sang elvish lullaby every night will live a short life.

So when Aragorn came to him, professing his love to Arwen, his only daughter, it's not the anger for their love that cause him to lash out but instead of the reality that he will lose both his son and his daughter.
