And Galadriel is a victim whether you see the story romantically or not.
Feminism isn't about going full swing in the opposite direction of "men can't be victims" and start hating on the idea of women being victims. Strong women can be victims too, just like men can be victims & abusers can be victims & some shitty person you absolutely hate can also be a victim.
This is the whole Nenya's magic redeemed Adar so Galadriel should give it to Sauron discourse again in a hat & i cannot with this out of touch idea of healing & redemption!!
Not to be controversial, but I hate how many posts I see are about what Galadriel could have/should have done and not about what Hal/Sauron should have/could have done and definitely did.
Why should Galadriel be responsible for Sauron's possible redemption? Why is getting the girl always the condition for a man's redemption arc? Why is it always the female character's job to do things? To save them? To help them? Even in fandom space?
Why do we call this progressive? And feminist?

I was chatting to some people on the AvA discord server, and a person showed me a screenshot of victim sitting at his desk on their desktop.
