AA Doodles Day 13 + 19! (Cooking/Baking + Mask)

First time drawing Gina + Toby! I think Maria would really love cookie cutters and have an assortment of both anatomically correct internal organs AND cute cartoon spookies like bats, ghosts, etc. She's also very precise in following the recipe, though cooking with Gina does ultimately make her loosen up a bit. Gina, meanwhile is chaos in the kitchen. (Her apron btw says 'I REPORT TO CHEF INSPECTOR TOBY')

Toby doesn't seem interested in the popsicle, but is still curious about the new friend, bounding up some in an attempt to lick her cheek.

"Oi Toby, you 'round 'ere?" A girl's voice comes from around the corner and soon Gina enters the scene.

"Ah, there you are boy!" Gina bent down to pick her puppy up, who was still very curious about the new friend! "Sorry if 'e's bein' a botha ma'am. Gets real friendly wi'v strangers 'e does. Oi, yer one of the new arrivals ain't ya? Constable Sarah?"

Toby is curious about the tiny hooman and why they blep at him. He gives tiny blepper a curious sniff before the puppy starts licking their cheek!

I really don't know why, but there's something so comforting to me with the way Gina holds Toby. Just looking at it usually makes me happy. I could literally sit and watch Toby's tail wag away for hours and I would be happy. It's just so cute. They both have silly little happy faces, and Toby's little tongue sticking out just makes it cuter. The way Gina has both her hands holding him up is just so cute. A hand for him to sit on, and another holding up his little legs. (Which are actually strangely long if you screenshot the part where he jumps at Ryunosuke. You know what I'm talking about.) It's kind of like a constant little hug. I'm saying little too much but I really don't know what else to use.

The sniffing mode hold is super cute too. She's literally holding him like a gun. His hind legs are standing on one of her hands, and her other hand is holding him up by the middle of his body, just behind his front legs, which are kind of pushing against her hand, like how cats will do when they're about to jump. (I guess "as dogs will do" is better wording, but I'm more familiar with cats and I don't think I've ever seen a dog begin a jump like that before, but I'm sure they probably do.) And of course, Toby's tail is still wagging super fast.

I seriously love them so much, they're so adorable for no reason. Toby is my second favorite video game dog. If Missile from Ghost Trick didn't exist, he'd be my #1. Chief Inspector Toby, I love you.

Even when Gina is mad, it doesn't stop her from holding Toby, just as a cute little puppy like him deserves.

TLDR; Gina and Toby are adorable and the best characters in TGAA and nothing will change my mind

Maggie Sawyer 

Chief Inspector Margaret 'Maggie' Sawyer was head of the Metropolis Police Department's Special Crimes Unit (or SCU).  A dedicated, no-nonsense officer, Sawyer proved herself a highly capable leader and problem solver. Unlike her lieutenant, Dan Turpin, Sawyer welcomed Superman's assistance and built a relationship of trust with the Man of Steel.

Despite the whispers that the SCU had become too dependent on Superman’s assistance, Sawyer continued to maintain a good working relationship with the hero and they teamed up on numerous occasions, proving a greatly effective duo.  Furthermore, Sawyer and her SCU showed themselves as entirely capable, handling situations such as a rampaging Bizarro, the demonic Karkull, and a bomb-threat orchestrated by Earl Garver.

Inspector Sawyer’s wife, Toby Raynes, remained stedfast at her side and helped her recuperate after Sawyer sustained injuries incurred while battling the forces of Darkseid.  

Actress Joanna Cassidy voiced Inspector Sawyer with the heroine first appearing in the twelfth episode of the first season of Superman: The Animated Series, Tools of The Trade.’
