I love how my sock toppers look like long bloomers! I desperately want long bloomers but I never get around to buying them :(

I had my oral testing for my B2 French certification so I wanted to wear something a little nicer. That means wearing something insanely formal for most people :)

I really like this skirt. It was a bit over 15 degrees so I didn't need to wear a coat or thermal leggings!!! I'm kinda sad that the weather is getting nicer because now I have to start being careful about what I wear so that I don't overheat.

Edwardian bicycle trousers! (with bonus shirt collar!)

The trousers are from a light-ish cotton flannel in a brown houndstooth pattern. The button fly was both fascinating and frustrating, but overall I am very pleased with the outcome! Except for the buttonholes.

The shirt was a re-cut of one of my father's old dress shirts, with a fully new collar which was very fun to make. Bonus- reusing the buttons down the front meant I only had to sew one buttonhole (I hate buttonholes)

[the-temperance]

I have chosen this design for a multitude of different reasons. Firstly, it is inspired by the tarot card Temperance that is coincidentally also my name. As a practicing witch the use and belief in tarot is a common practice within my life so I found it fitting to include it within my work. My strong believe within the supernatural and the practice of wicca is a constant renewal of inspiration. The Temperance card represents an even balance, self-control and patience; all values I wish to up hold within my work. Secondly, the constant flow of water reparents the constant creativity and passion I put into my work, and it fuels me to create more and more. I also encouraged the unevenness of the lines when drawing the illustration as not all my projects are going to be perfect, have the best execution or have a solid foundation however the unevenness reminds me that my illustrations don't have to be pristine from the first sketch, my sewing is allowed so wobble a bit in the first draft and sometimes the work I am doing may take some patience to get right.

Definitely a bit of a learning curve on this one. The drape is very weird on me due to me being lazy and forgetting to staystitch, but otherwise it turned out quite well. Now I'm just waiting on my fabric order so I can make it with the good stuff!
