I love how my sock toppers look like long bloomers! I desperately want long bloomers but I never get around to buying them :(

I had my oral testing for my B2 French certification so I wanted to wear something a little nicer. That means wearing something insanely formal for most people :)

I really like this skirt. It was a bit over 15 degrees so I didn't need to wear a coat or thermal leggings!!! I'm kinda sad that the weather is getting nicer because now I have to start being careful about what I wear so that I don't overheat.

Edwardian bicycle trousers! (with bonus shirt collar!)

The trousers are from a light-ish cotton flannel in a brown houndstooth pattern. The button fly was both fascinating and frustrating, but overall I am very pleased with the outcome! Except for the buttonholes.

The shirt was a re-cut of one of my father's old dress shirts, with a fully new collar which was very fun to make. Bonus- reusing the buttons down the front meant I only had to sew one buttonhole (I hate buttonholes)

Both patterns are by Black Snail.

Definitely a bit of a learning curve on this one. The drape is very weird on me due to me being lazy and forgetting to staystitch, but otherwise it turned out quite well. Now I'm just waiting on my fabric order so I can make it with the good stuff!

Did the fitting for the 1950s shorts pattern, even though I did eat and is affecting the fit.

I think they fit well enough, but I should add the 1/4" back to the side seams to give me a bit more room when eating or just having bloating days.

Length wise. I think these are a good length. Not overly short but not too long for my stature. (5ft 4in, for anyone curious)

Am I that much of a shorts person? No.

Do I live in a slightly warmer climate? Yes.

So shorts are needed in my wardrobe.
