Slowly but surely teaching everyone in my family how to play Lorcana, as I think it's a pretty beginner friendly card game.

Plus, it's just really funny to see people's first time reaction when I play my 'Winnie the Pooh: Hunny Wizard' card.

Cyno tilts them instinctually so that he can see them better* Alhaitham, pointing at one of the cards: *quietly* play that one. Cyno, nodding: Good idea *Everybody- sans Cyno, who plays the aforementioned card- freezes as Alhaitham stays like that* *Tighnari opens his mouth* *Kaveh clamps a hand over it, vigorously shaking his head 'no'*

*Again, in the roommate's house. Tighnari is waiting for Kaveh to finish getting ready because they had plans. [The architect wanted to go into the forest to find some inspiration and didn't want to go by himself]* *Alhaitham is dozing lightly next to him, having fallen asleep reading in a patch of sunlight, and slowly tips into the fox's lap* *Tighnari tenses and immediately forces himself to relax in the same breath- even as his hands scramble to hover uncertainly. He carefully sinks one hand into fluffy grey hair- which elicits a pleased sleepy noise* Kaveh, walking out: Ready to go...oo? Tighnari, whispering: What do I do!? *Kaveh, as quietly as Kaveh-ly possible, sits down next to them* Kaveh: You can't move until he wakes up, it's the law Tighnari: He's not a cat- *The architect raises an eyebrow* Tighnari: Yep- I heard it as soon as I said it. *sigh*

no but like, why did i suddenly think of this on the drive home:

The date was good.

The date was good. They did all the cliche things, because Husk thought Angel would think it was funny, if Husk took him on a date like Angel was a prim and proper lady.

They did the drive in movie, the nice dinner, the chaste little kisses and opening doors and Husk even bought a jacket just so he could give it to Angel to wear at the end of the night.

Husk had brought flowers, and Angel had squealed and blushed and delicately put them in a vase.

That vase was now knocked over on the floor, flowers scattered everywhere in a puddle, and in it's place was Angel himself leaned back and spread like a feast.

Husk was a gentleman. He doesn't know how he got here, between Angel's long long legs, over the spider and kissing like their afterlives depended on it.

He walked Angel to his door, gave his hand a kiss, fully prepared to leave floating on a cloud and proud of himself.

What he got was a wrinkled shirt from where Angel pulled him in, and a squirming Angel beneath him.

"W-wait." Husk tried to pull away, with middling success considering he dived right back in. Angel hummed.

"Wait. No, wait I--I wanted to do this right. I wanna treat you right." Husk managed to push himself off Angel, who was now lying fully on the table.

Husk stood, but Angel's legs tightened around him and fuck.

"Honey..." Angel whined, and damn did that sound nice, "this isn't black jack." In the pause of confusion that statement caused, Angel managed to wrap his hands once more in the wrinkled spots of his shirt and pull him in, but Husk braced his arms and stayed out of reach.

"What?" Angel huffed, before sitting up.

"Honey, I'm not a game of blackjack," Angel repeated himself. He cradled Husk's face, as if to impress upon him how serious it was.

"This is not hit or stay." His thumbs stroked his whiskers, and a purr almost started up. Angel pecked him on the forehead.

"This is a hit and stay, right?" Suddenly, Angel looked unsure, and fuck. Husk couldn't let that stand.

"Of course I'll stay." Angel beamed at him, shyly, and Husk was only so strong. He held Angel's hands against his face, and pushed up to kiss him gently.

Their kisses softened, like that. Got more languid, less frantic.

"Besides," Angel said, pulling back after a who knows and who cares how long. "I definitely want you to bust." Husk rolled his eyes, but smiled as Angel giggled at his own joke.

And then that light in his eyes--the lust of it, shined. Husk gulped.

Angel leaned in and whispered in his ear, "preferably in me, yeah?"

And Husk is a gentleman, okay.

And gentlemen accept it when a glove is thrown down like that.

He pounced.

has the shortest attention span you have ever seen in your entire life, 90% of the time he has to be bribed to play a game longer than five to ten minutes. uno is the exception.

loves-uno, the idea of risk

hates-most other games, the reality of risk

logan-

into the most long, complicated, rule-and-insane-mechanic-heavy games you could possibly find. also anything trivia or random-knowledge-based. he and virgil make everyone play dnd. he is the dm and only does very elaborate homebrew stuff.

loves-trivial pursuit, everdell, that one stock market game that’s really confusing, matching games likes eye spot it, scrabble, mobius (math bananagrams)

hates-those games where you just roll dice and pass them between the players for five minutes

virgil-

either short games where you brutally destroy your opponents or long games where you brutally destroy your opponents, depending on his mood. also teams up with logan to make everyone play dnd.

loves-unstable unicorns, monopoly, uno

hates-any cooperative/working-together-as-a-team games

patton

big fan of games that let you be on teams or work with other players. loves games where you collect cards with characters on them but is usually bad at the actual game. really is just bad at most games, to be honest. he’s a good sport about it, though. (he likes to make jokes about how “your dad is getting too old for these games” and is immediately shut down by logan because “we’re literally all the same age, patton.”) he doesn’t mind long games but doesn’t do well with extremely complicated games. loves physical building/balance games, weirdly good at trivial pursuit.

loves-pokemon, any cooperative/working-together-as-a-team games, catan (he likes to build little houses with the blocks), bananagrams, jenga, suspend

hates-“now, hate is a strong word, but-” any games where players or characters “die”, uno (apologizes whenever he does literally anything to anyone)

janus-

obviously any game where you have to pretend/lie but also strategy-heavy games that require a lot of planning and thinking. likes slower paced games and takes forever on every single turn he has, no matter what game it is.

loves-mafia, bs, runes and regulations, solitaire (he and logan sometimes sit next to each other and play separate games of solitaire and race to finish theirs first. Janus always cheats.)

hates-wham (he hates the one hand only rule)

remus-

anything wildly inappropriate but also anything structured like apples to apples. give-me-a-prompt-and-i’ll-answer-it-in-a-weird-way games. has a longer attention span than roman but only if he’s interested in the game.

loves-cards against humanity, apples to apples, ransom notes, operation, trophies (he always manages to find words that only technically fit the prompt and you want to disqualify him but you can’t. very annoying.), the telephone game where you have to draw

hates-any game that you just play with a deck of cards (no gimmick and therefore boring)
