Late Afternoon at the Farm

Flew out to Washington for a friend's wedding. I didn't want to bring too much stuff so I just brought my infrared camera. While I forgot to bring it with me when I went into the city, I did manage to get some great shots at the venue.

My lovely bride and I had a bit of time to walk around Table Mountain this morning before going to Chico for lunch.  Even with a fairly "dark:30" blast off, the good visible light was getting away fast by the time we got down there.  I did shoot some visible light stuff so stay tuned to see if any of that came out (the wildflowers are popping pretty nicely right now) but my mouse landed on this one first for a quick before dinner edit.  This is a 590 nanometer "near infrared" false color shot after the visible light got too harsh...it's always good to have options!

Phased Display - Light Change Study of Ancient Unknown Stationary Object... This is the Third (Silent) video study that has been made public. It was created a year into the Presentation, and was intended to serve as a ‘flag’ pointing to new website merchandise, (but there were issues, and merchandise still waits its moment.) It was created by filming a ‘still’ color image on a laptop, the camera held at an acute angle, near the keyboard, and then, slowly rotating, until  it was parallel with the screen. y'all, this is sort of surreal for me. the first book i ever made, back in 2021, was this fic!!! it was my initiation book!! since then i have learned so much, made so many books, and MET so many people it feels like a different lifetime.

i am so, so happy that i was able to redesign and bind a NEW AND IMPROVED version 2 and GIFT IT to the author!!! it has all come full circle; this has been my absolute favorite fic for years and years, and my little caterpillar self which could barely cut board and freehand painted a scuffed little beetle on the cover has emerged from the cocoon of LEARNING SKILLS and can now sew endbands, paint edges, make cutouts?!?!! still can't measure right though-

kittebasu, thank you so much for writing this fic. i've read and reread it so many times, i really hope you like my bind of it.
