-not everyone needs to use facewash or bodywash on a regular basis. if water is enough for you, it's enough.

-not everyone needs to use moisturizer all the time. if you don't get issues when you don't moisturize, you probably don't need to.

they are just trying to sell us things!!! some people do benefit from these things, but if a wet washcloth or whatever works to keep you clean and comfortable, it works! there's no inherent human need for bodywash and moisturizer and anyone who tries to tell you everyone needs a "basic skin care routine" involving multiple products is either trying to sell you something or has been indoctrinated by those people.

so stop being weirdos and shaming people for not needing the same skin care routine as you!!!

#sometimes I use soap on my body if I get really gross #but most of the time just water and some scrubbing takes care of it! I've noticed my pits get smellier the days following soap use #than when I just use water #which is usually enough for me to get rid of any bo/sweat/whatever #a d I use moisturizer bc I have dry skin but I feel like I frequently see people being like 'I had no issues before using moisturizer but #now it's breaking me out. so which one should I use instead #when the obvious answer is that person probably doesn't need a daily moisturizer!#we don't need to solve problems that don't exist!#also if someone has acne it is almost never bc they don't wash their face

The fact that after eight years I decide to relearn to drive, a skill I technically don't need as of now but will grant me the illusion of freedom (I can't wait until I'll be able to go to the beach by myself <3), and the fact that my mother has been complaining for three days that I cut my hair shoulder-length because "you should make yourself prettier, not uglier like this, I bet you only cut it because you're lazy and don't want to waste time drying it but you should let it grow ass-length because you'd be so pretty", are probably connected.

#dealing with papulopustular rosacea for the past few months #just on my nose of all places bc why not #and i'm now at the point where im minimally washing my face to clear it up #with the hopes of reintroducing face products in a few weeks bc everything seems to be a trigger #i can't tell you how frustrating it's been to get the rest of my face/rosacea in a good place #and then this happens and it's the only area of issue #and it's not just redness it's like open wounds but tiny and me having to use makeup to cover up anyway #bc being rudolph is not actually fun and i've had ppl ask and that's embarrassing af #there's only two moisturizers right now that dont seem to upset it #the problem is one im pretty sure was recently discontinued #and the other one seems fine but it's not as moisturizing as i need for my dry skin x.x #welcome to skincare hell jfc

i am so fucking pissed off

#had to take a shower late at night. bathroom is gutted for the repairmen that didn't come so there was nothing in there.#had to get out halfway through to ask my mom where the conditioner and face wash was. she gave me a different face wash than i normally use #so i asked her where the regular one i use is she said we're out. i said do we have any other foaming ones I need them to be foaming ones #because those are the only ones that dont make my face burn. she said we dont but this one is like that if you lather it in your hands.#i said i dont think thats going to work. she insisted. it did not work. my face burns.#theres shampoo in my eyes. my skin is dry. i had to go dry my hair in the kitchen because the bathroom outlet does not work.#i banged my ankle on the table because half the contents of the bathroom are in the kitchen and it was a tight fit to get to the outlet.#hair took forever to dry. tried several times to put it in a bonnet. tied my hair into the ribbons on accident multiple times.#thighs are sticking together. tea fell behind my bed. i am going to fucking kill myself.
