Thoughts on Nosferatu? As a horror girlie

a Gorgeous piece of gothic horror truleee. i enjoyed everything from the performances to the sets to the score to the rats. bill as orlok was gross and crusty, lily-rose truly surprised me, willem set things on fire, aaron taylor johnson got to be an annoying cunt (affectionate). i would give it a 9.5 out of 10 only because i'd be interested in the thoughts of romani folks. i think their treatment in the film is a little more respectful than that of dracula's, and they used romani actors, but i'm an outsider so it's not really up to me. the use of slurs, while period/setting accurate, was definitely jarring and uncomfortable

my friend is still dying

anas's gastric cancer is metastatic and he's suffering terribly. i've seen videos and photos of him vomiting blood and i don't feel right sharing even if he's given me permission because i shouldn't have to show you my sick friend at his worst for people to care. he is not alone. he still has to care for his parents all while dealing with this illness taking so much from him, and the hospitals in the strip have been left with nothing to treat him. all i want is my friend's safety. all i want is his happiness. please give whatever you can

Since this morning, 50 injured people have traveled from Gaza to receive treatment abroad. I am in pain all day and night, and I cry all the time from the intensity of the pain and my miserable luck.
