OW MY HEART. GOOD.

I keep thinking about Artham and Fiddleford in my Wingfeather Falls universe and how I show a lot about how Fiddleford needs the Wingfeathers to help him and especially Artham, but I think it’s also important to realize how much Artham needs Fidds too. Like, I’ve been thinking about this for a couple days and I feel like after the war when things are going back to normal Artham would be not depressed or lonely exactly, he’s got his family and he loves them and he’s happy to be with them. But like something’s missing. Because, I mean, the man’s whole goal in life was to protect his brother and then later his brother’s children. But Esben is dead now and the kids are safe. And like, yes, he’s a Throne Warden, but he’s trying to let Janner come into his own protecting Kalmar, because someday they’ll have to do this on their own, when he’s not there.

Aurendelle, of course, knows exactly what Artham needs. He needs a friend. But every person Aurendelle or Nia hopefully introduces him to he can’t manage to be more than cordial with. Because everyone in Anniera either thinks of him as a legend or they knew him before Anniera fell and that’s just too much for him to deal with. 

And then one day. One freaking day Artham shows up with this random guy he found in another world who’s nervous and stammers and doesn’t wear shoes and Aurendelle’s like, “This one, this is the one he picked? … he’s perfect.” and like, it’s just very good for Artham to have someone he can talk to and have adventures with but also look after because it gives him purpose again. Like, he was meant to protect and take care of people and I think he needs that after everything he’s been through. And he needs to let people take care of him too And I think that if he could have a deep and meaningful relationship with his brother even while looking after him then there’s no reason he can’t do that with Fiddleford as well.

Anyway, I just love my boys a lot and they’re very good for each other.

It is nearly 11:30pm on a school night and I am desperate for happiness, so you know what I am going to do? Read and write down my reactions to @mozart-the-meerkitten’s Fiddleford in Anniera fanfic, since I’ve been way behind on her story and I just KNOW that story gives me the happy chemicals. She’s been tagging me in the updates but I’ve been procrastinating but that stops nOW. Imma read it on my phone, write my reactions on my school computer, then copy it onto tumble and post it all in one go. I may not finish it tonight but wow I really wanna read some good fic and post my honest reactions and feelings huh. Anyway!! Look forward to that long post and make sure to filter ‘long post’ or something so it doesn’t clog your whole dash with my senseless rambling. Anyway!! Onto the story!! This’ll be fun!!
