not to deeply sigh once more but it would it once again KILL zenimax to put in an extra dialogue option that doesn’t assume the player has never played an elder scroll before. i’m so tired you did so good with high isle and the alliance leaders and now we’re back to my char looking like a fucking moron.
like it’s dumb enough that you have to be like ‘WHAT?? ME?? YOU WANT ME TO WORK FOR A DAEDRIC PRINCE??’ like the player hasn’t been holding hands with half of them in previous chapters and the base game.

So I’ve already seen some criticism of Helaena appearing in Daemon’s visions, all “why is she helping the guy that murdered her son?” And while I can understand that criticism, that’s not how I read the scene, and I think it actually reveals a lot more to us about Helaena as a character and how her dreams have affected her life.
Because, while Alys and Helaena did show Daemon a vision of Daenerys, they neglected to mention one teeny tiny barely important little detail. When the dead arrive, their ruler is slain by a Stark while a Lannister sits the Iron Throne. Then, the final male Targaryen kills the final female Targaryen, her dragon burns the Iron Throne, and he goes Beyond the Wall, probably never to have children. In short, Aegon’s Dream is all for nothing.
Presuming that Helaena can see everything the way that this episode implies, she is fully aware of this. And yet, Daemon still needs to play his part. All of their parts are inevitable, everything has always occurred exactly the way that it will. She tells Aemond point-blank that even if he kills her, he will still die in God’s Eye and Aegon will still outlive him. So Blood & Cheese or no, Daemon’s line will still inherit the Iron Throne, and he will still kill Aemond. But in order to do those things, his part involves accepting Aegon’s Dream to be (somewhat) true and standing behind Rhaenyra for good. Helaena is here to help shuffle that along.
I also think that this lends a new weight to her words in 2x03: “I’m sad about Jaehaerys. But I don’t think I should be.”
I’m sad about my son’s death, but I don’t think I should be because I saw this happen over and over in my dreams. Because I know that in the grand scheme of the Song of Ice and Fire, in the story of Westeros and all the lands beyond, he had a minuscule role to play. Because it’s all a story and he was only ever meant to be a minor tragedy in that story. Because I’ve known all of this since I was born, but I’m still human, I’m not just a prophetess or a visionary or a dreamer, I’m still human and I’m still a mother and I’m still sad about my son’s death.

dont mind me, just thinking about Chip's consistent motif of drowning and the fact hes the only one not protected by niklaus plot armor. haha super funny that chip met niklaus by accidentally managing to get into his realm after falling asleep and waking up drowning in the ocean. absolutely riveting that the cat-scratch induced nightmare that effected chip the most physically was one where he was pulled into the depths of the water by black tentacles and woke up coughing out saltwater. absolutely incredible that chip's final nightmare lead him to arlin who was at the bottom of the sea. how the monsters in his mind were corrupted black sludge that had painted itself in the visages of his friends and how the moment they crossed into the black sea that nightmare became reality. how he has the highest corruption level in the group currently because of an extra point i CANNOT pinpoint the source of and how his character attribute from the start has been the haunted one. how the black sea took from every person who survived and that perhaps something in chip has been gone from the very beginning. how episode 104 began with a song literally called At The Bottom, sung by chip saying that hes "searching for something i just cant find," "falling down in the hole, you know the trap is set, slowly losing control" "dont come looking for me when it's my turn- dont come looking for me at the bottom." thinks about chip getting dragged into the depths. thinks about how niklaus' only desire for chip was for him to not interfere in some way or another. thinks about a trap laid 10 years before that dragged his ship to the bottom of the sea. thinks about the map that only captain rose could read leading chip to the place that nearly destroyed the black rose pirates entirely. thinks about chip, the growing corruption within his body, and the depths. how all that hes been searching for is there at the bottom. how swimming only delays the inevitable, and then you sink. like. thats awesome. thats so cool. surely all of these things are unrelated

i am 100% saying this with a bias as a ludinus fan and do not consider this some canon intention (mooostly) but just in the same way lucien was a ghost of a lost m9 member, destined to be in their party but in an echo of another life, i consider ludinus, in a way, the same - if more wraith than ghost. if lucien looks at the mighty nein and swears he cant recognize them as molly screams in his head they're family, ludinus looks at the bells hells and recognizes them instantly as himself, utterly alone but not alone, as some tiny part of him in essek's voice says "you should try friends sometime", and another screams that it's far too late.

Hey everyone just popping in to remind you that Joel who is a survivor at heart and has been throughout all seasons of the life series was willing to put his own neck down on the chopping block for Jimmy and Grian. Joel, who is perceived as this "lone wolf" fought tooth and nail for the only two people in this world that welcomed him into a home with no strings attached but it wasn't enough. His efforts of changing were futile when the clock was ticking so loudly in his ear. When Jimmy died so did he.
"You've lost your mind."
