I'm not sure you meant this as a request for a peek at the baseball players AU, but just look at that face!! How can I not share a bit of the (small amount I actually have written in complete sentences) baseball players AU when confronted with that face?? Plus some bonus clothes-sharing just because. Snippet below the cut...

Obi-Wan fixed him with a level look before turning back to the road. “You do not have to take this advice,” he said slowly, “but as someone who has played a lot longer than you have, I am going to recommend that you not mention to anyone else on the team that this is the first time you’ve ever played organized baseball.”

Anakin nodded. He hadn’t been planning on it. He hadn’t been planning on telling Obi-Wan, even; it had just sort of slipped out. “I won’t.”

“So, in that spirit,” Obi-Wan continued, “you’re probably not going to want to show up to your first day of practice in all brand-new gear, either. The shoes you can get away with, no one’s going to bat an eye at having to replace your shoes, but everyone else on that field, me included, is going to be dressed in their old high school uniforms half the time. Of which you have none.”

“Oh.” Anakin had not thought of that.

“Okay, get out,” Obi-Wan said, and stopped the car and turned the key. Anakin looked around. They were in front of a totally nondescript boxy brick apartment building.

“Wait. Is this…I can come up to your apartment?” Anakin squeaked.

“Well I’m certainly not going to leave you alone with my car,” Obi-Wan muttered, and Anakin was pretty sure he’d gotten a good enough handle on Obi-Wan’s humor by now to know that that was supposed to be a joke.

Upstairs, Obi-Wan dug through one of the boxes in the closet. “Here. These will be too short for you” – Obi-Wan held a couple of pairs of pants over his shoulder, and Anakin took them from him – “and these will be too tight for you” – he added a stack of shirts – “but just pull your socks up and unbutton the top button. It’s just practice; you can show up in a t-shirt if you want.”

“Okay,” Anakin said. “What kind of socks?”

Obi-Wan sighed and went back to digging in his drawer.

In the top of the 10th inning, Jazz Chisholm Jr. steals second base for the second time in this game. Out of the 6 stolen bases in the post season, including this one, Jazz has 3 of those steals. Great job, Jazz!!!

He just stole 3rd!! Volpe gets him home!!

Decided to draw him in my style since I'm still struggling with the show's style, heh. I should probably sit down to do a proper study one of these days. But I'm happy with how this turned out! Still getting the hang of using an iPad (I was gifted one in my art absence on here, so no more phone drawing for me unless I'm posting old stuff).

In my life, I've found that my inner demons are like Doomsday in Superman. Once you kill them ONE way, they come back immune to that particular technique. As such, these things tend to multiply. Sometimes, I can just distract myself until they get bored and go away. Sometimes that works better than trying to fight it especially if they are cropping up because of hormones or some chronic, non-causal thing. But when they are there because something has me eating my own brain... this technique rarely works for any length of time.

Christmas came early for the Cleveland Guardians' player, Noel. He hit a home run off of Luke Weaver to tie the game. Luke does not look happy. Neither do I. Great job, Mr. Noel. Alas and alack. Whaddaya gonna do? It's time for extra innings. Let's go Yankees!!!!!

The look of disbelief is apparent on Luke Weaver's face. I hope that Boone lets him continue pitching. Please, do let him put Clay Holmes in. Please 🙏🏼 Time will tell. Let's go Yankees!!!!!

nurse: hey remember how i called you about this patient's pharmacy insurance? you said they had it.

me: no, i said they had xyz insurance (multiple times). sorry for the confusion, but i can't verify pharmacy insurance.

nurse: well the patient said he signed up for this insurance.

me: okay. but i can't see it in our verification system at all and i can't add it on. that's not something our team does.

nurse: well is there a supervisor there who CAN see it?

me: it wouldn't matter if there was a supervisor here or not, they'd see the same thing i can see. which is nothing. because we don't verify pharmacy insurance. even if i COULD see it, i can't add it because our team doesn't do that.

nurse: well what should i do then?

me: well considering i've never been involved in the process of adding this particular insurance, as i told you and your other coworker earlier who called me about the exact same thing and with whom i had the exact same conversation, i can't really say for sure. i would've told you to reach out to pharmacy, as i would assume they can add this insurance.

nurse: well they told me to reach out to you.

me: well. don't know why they did that, since we can't add this insurance.
