you met toji at a bar. you remember that setting very well, sometimes too well. when you’re bored, you’ll sit back and think about that very night. you had just turned 20 not too long ago, and your friends had finally got the fake ids they ordered months ago. with excited giggles, they handed the ids out. you’ll never forget how your heart thumped as you examined the little card that displayed lie after lie. you had never done something so illegal, something so sinister.
that night, you waited until your parents were sleeping. no, not just laying in bed and resting, but absolutely sleeping. their breathing turned heavy and their chests rose up and down slowly. their backs touched each other as if they had enough of each other, even while unconscious. with the knowledge that they were asleep, you made sure to close the luxurious door as quietly as possible. the door closed shut with a soft thud. you stood there for a second, holding your breath. you weren’t sure as to what you were waiting for, but you waited.
you counted to 60 in your head four times before solidifying that they were actually asleep. your eyes crinkle as a smile adorned your lips. with newfound enthusiasm, your feet that were comforted in white lace socks pitter patter against the prime grade wood flooring. you skip into your room and close and lock the door behind you.
you grab your phone that sits on top of your nightstand.11:20 it reads. you have exactly an hour and ten minutes to get ready. you’re quick to rush into your white marbled bathroom that had soft pink enhancements sprouted throughout the room.
the walls are adorned with large, glossy white marble tiles, reflecting light and creating an illusion of spaciousness. lowered chandeliers create soft, ambient lighting, casting a gentle modern glow over the room. the room's main feature is a gleaming white marble bathtub with simple, elegant lines and a large basin that invites you to have a relaxing dip. a peaceful waterfall faucet that cascades above it softly filling the tub with warm water whenever you feel the need to soak your stresses away.
you choose to use your stand-up shower, for this occasion. the shower is fully glass, exposing everything and more. two sides or large glass panels trap you on your sides to stop the water from escaping freely. as you turn the hot water on, both the overhead shower-head and the six miniature shower-heads come to life. you take off your pink silky robe, hanging it on the nook that’s nailed onto the wall beside your shower. you rub your body clean with soaps and exfoliators. the water plays a soft tune throughout the bathroom, the relaxing sound from the faucet merges with the sweet scents. it’s a precise routine that you do daily. scrubbing yourself until you’re absolutely sure your body is sparkling, and then stepping out of your shower with a pink fluffy towel around your body. a large white bathroom rug catches all of the spare droplets as you walk to your sink.
when you’re done with your skincare routine which includes not only your face but oiling your body down, you’re leaving your bathroom and walking into your walk-in closet. the automatic light sensors turn on, almost if it was awaiting your arrival. you choose a short light pink dress, and a pair of expensive shoes that match the shading. you gush over the cute bows that are etched onto the heel of the shoe.
time moves quickly. one minute you’re brushing your hair and inserting a clip on bow, and the next you’re quietly sneaking out through the back door. you walk to your friend’s white range rover that’s parked three houses down.
the rest of the night is moved in little blurs. you feel like you’re sitting inside of a cinema, watching a newly released movie. the bar is full of men. and not the guys you’re used to seeing around at these little college frat parties. no, these are men with tattoos, men with beards, mens with war battles littered on their body, men who are old enough to be your dad. as you look around, you suddenly feel childish in your outfit. the women in the bar wear crop tops and little shorts that have their ass cheeks hanging out. there’s a sense of maturity that courses through the bar, something the frat parties could never carry.
these are criminals, office men, police officers, businessmen. and suddenly there’s a throbbing in your lower region that you’ve never felt before. you’re looking around curiously as if the bar is some sort of museum that hold rare artifacts.
you look over at a table full of guys, their faces are littered with tired eyes and white beards. you accidentally make eye contact with one of the men and he winks before smirking and muttering something to his friends. they all snap their heads to you and your friends. some of them whistle while the others carry the same smirk. you should feel disgusted, guys that were possibly in the same classes with your dad, are making advances towards you. but instead the throbbing increases and a feeling of need courses through your body.
your friends make it to the bar and take your seats. a female bartender who looks to be in her mid 30s walks up to you four. she has overgrown blonde roots and various random tattoos littered all over her skin. her skin is obviously fake tanned, the exposed parts of her body are three shades darker than her head. her makeup is cakey and there’s dark eyeshadow around her eyes creating a lazily done smokey eye look. there’s a few facial piercings on her face as well. a dermal beside her eye, two dimple piercings, an eyebrow piercing, and when she opens her mouth to greet you all you can see the ball of a tongue piercing.
“what can i get for you ladies?” her voice is somewhat strained and gravelly. as she leans in, you can smell the lingering smell of cigarettes on her tongue.
“can i have eight shots of lemon drop, please.” your friend flashes the bartender a mischievous smile.
those shots were what got the night going. you were already very tipsy after your two shots and also a half glass of tequila. your friends had scattered around the bar, having conversations amongst themselves. you watch them, there’s envy burning in your stomach at how social they’re able to be so easily. you take it as competition. you sway your head to the side and your eyes land on a guy who’s sitting on the far end of the counter.
with the confidence you mustered, you walk up to him and sit in the wooden chair beside him. the chair creaks as you adjust yourself. sucking in a heavy breath, you smile at him.
“hi.” you greet him.
“’m not a perv. fuck off.” his response has you blinking rapidly in shock.
“uhm .. what? i’m-i’m of age!” you exclaim. you don’t know why you feel so offended at his words. most girls would’ve instantly stood up and walked away from his hostility, but if anything it strung you in even more.
“yeah, okay. and lemme guess, there’s pigs out there flyin’.” he chuckles but it’s forced, if anything.
“you, sir, are reaaaal hostile.” you drag the word out. the alcohol in your system is fumbling with your ability to talk normally.
“go away, little girl.” he dismisses you once again. he’s gripping his glass, with the muscles straining from his tight black shirt you wonder if he’s going to end up breaking it.
you have no idea as to why you’re so stuck on staying beside him and continuing to try. “i’ll have you know,” you emphasize, making sure the word rings through his head. “i can do everything you can do. vote, pay taxes, drive, all of that.”
“not drink, though.” he argues.
your eyebrows scrunch and suddenly you’re digging through your purse searching for that fake id. once your fingers grasp it, you’re pulling it out and slamming it on the polished wood.
“actually, i can.” you challenge. you’re sliding the card in front of him, all of your confidence powered into that one finger.
the guy goes quiet for a second, he’s reading your id. you cross your arms in victory. yeah, he doesn’t have much to say now.
or so you thought. “this shit’s faker than me claimin’ t’be a good father.” he says, his voice tinged with disgust. he slides the card back in front of you.
“okay. whatever. ‘m of age, though. okay? i’m 20 and if i’m not mistaken that’s grown.” you reply.
he finally turns, his entire body turns to look at you. lean and toned. he’s extremely built, with muscles everywhere. not to mention his waist, that’s so so slim. he’s wearing black jeans but you don’t even have to see his legs to know they match his arms. your eyes dart away his lower body to focus on his face. his face is rugged and masculine. he has sharp, angular features, including a strong jawline and high cheekbones. his green eyes are sharp and piercing as he stares down at you. you notice there’s an attractive scar that runs through his thin lips.
“‘nd is there a reason as t’why you keep botherin’ me, ms.twenty year old?” he asks sarcastically.
. ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁˖ . ݁
“g-gonna cum again!” you gasp. your head lays in the crook of his neck. he has one strong hand holding your head so even if you wanted to move it, you couldn’t.
you had only had sex with one guy, ever. and he was more so on the skinnier side. you wouldn't shame him at all, he had managed to pull a few orgasms out of you. but this一this was different. he was stretching you out in ways that had your mind completely fucked. your pussy is stretched and wrapped tightly around his cock as if it was made for him and him only.
your knees laid on both sides of his hips. you had started off riding him but he had quickly taken control when he realized how awkward you are when you’re on top. the way you stiffly jerked your hips would have resulted in absolutely no orgasms if he had let you continue. his feet were planted flat on the mattress  while his other arm was wrapped around your lower back so that he could have leverage as he plowed his cock into your dripping pussy.
you could faintly hear the sound of police sirens through the thin motel walls. you had let the mystery man sway you to this cheap motel that looked as if it was infested with a little bit of everything. you remember the look on the receptionist’s face, a big man dressed in all black with a girl that’s inches shorter than him right beside him. they looked suspicious until you grabbed at the guy’s hand to lead him back outside once the two of you got a key.
“fuck are you so quiet for?” his voice snaps you out of your thoughts. before you could respond his big palm is striking down on your ass, sending multiple slaps. you whimper and jerk in his hold but he doesn’t let you move. “ungrateful thing. should i stop?”
“no!” you sob out. “please don’t stop.”
he rubs his hand over the spot he attacked before gripping your hip and fucking up into you even harder. the sound of his balls slapping against your skin and your pussy wetting his dick even more echoed through the room. the motel bed squeaks with every movement, like an old door protesting against being opened.
your senses whirl as he abruptly hurls you onto the side of the bed. your form plunges into the worn mattress, a musical of creaking springs accompanying your fall as you land on your stomach. everything moves fast as he’s suddenly behind you and pressing cock back inside of your awaiting pussy.
“arch your back.” he grumbles. he doesn’t give you time to move on your own before he’s grabbing your hips and adjusting them into the air. his sharp eyes take in your bruised pussy that’s clenching around nothing.
he lets his leaking cockhead rub against your pussy for a few moments. he shudders when his thick pre cum mixes with your arousal, creating a beautiful canvas. you’re whining and cooing out to him, he takes not of you growing impatient and taking it upon yourself to move your hips in desperate attempts that his dick would enter you.
“desperate girl.” he tuts before lining his dick up and slamming his dick back inside of you.
you let a deafening scream as your pussy streams out liquid. he immediately pulls out and rubs his length through the mess you’re creating.
"gooood girl. mhm cum all on m'dick. jus' like that." he coos at you. "gonna gimme some more? hm?" he asks while bracing his cock for your tight walls.
you whimper out something unintagible as you fix your arch once again. just the thought of him scolding you for not listening put a sense of uneasiness in your body. you wanted to continue being his good girl.
. ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁˖ . ݁
nestled in a sea of soft, spiraling sheets and flat pillows, your soft breathing created a peaceful, rhythmic lullaby in the room. your chest's soft rise and fall resembled the waves' gentle rise and fall on a calm beach. your shape was nestled into the motel bed, which provided a false sense of haven from the outer world. toji gives your body a once over. he had really done a number on you. your body is littered with bites and bruises from him gripping you too hard. and somehow through all his negligence and however rough he was with you, you continued to moan and beg for more.
he told himself he was done with one night stands. god damnit. and then here you go walking into the bar with those needy ass doe eyes. he could smell the youthfulness on you. a twenty year old prissy girl with no true understanding of how ugly the world actually is.
toji exhaled while being lost in his own world as he stood outside the dimly illuminated motel room, wisps of smoke swirling around him. the light from his cigarette flickered with every breath, highlighting his face in the shadows.
he'd be lying if he said it didn't feel good. having a fine thing begging for more of his cock, the way you gripped the sheets whenever the overstimulation got too much to deal with, your choked sobs as he brought you to a place you've probably never reached before. a smirk tugged on his lips. you made him feel young again, that's for sure.
he could feel his phone buzzing in his pocket, it's possibly his boss who has found a shady job for toji to do. usually, he would've accepted in seconds but the thought of you halted him from doing so. this motel was located in a rather dangerous location and toji would feel like shit if he was listening to the news one day and found out some criminal got to you. he decides he'll walk you to a safer area before the two of you part ways.
his heart thumps hard in chest when he realizes this is the first and last time you two would ever do something like this. he enjoyed your smart replies and the fake confidence you put up at the bar. even more so, he enjoyed the size difference between you two. he dwarfs you in every way. he was practically throwing you around like some ragdoll and you took it. you took it all and that shit is fascinating to toji.
he tilts his head back, a cloud of smoke escapes through his mouth and into the air. that was一fun. he decides.

Hi! Do you have an easy peasy guide to skincare and hygiene for depressed dummies? 😃
Hi love! Sharing a high-level, basic skincare routine and hygiene tips to follow:
Morning Skincare:
Gentle facial cleanser & water
Vitamin C serum + hyaluronic acid
Facial moisturizer
Sunscreen designed for your face (at least SPF 50 – I think that this La Roche Posay SPF 60 choice is the best option for the money)
Apply sunscreen to your hands, neck, and any parts that will be exposed to the sun (Don't forget to use an SPF lip balm, too!)
Nighttime Skincare:
Remove any makeup (I love these Simple makeup wipes!)
Gentle cleanser
Toner/serums (only use AHAs like glycolic acid or lactic acid and retinol/retinoids at night, using them during the day can increase chances of sunburning)
Facial moisturizer (can be heavier than the one you use during the day, especially in the winter or if you have dry skin)
Spot treatments (if needed)
Eye cream
Skincare Extras:
Exfoliate your face 2-3 times/week (I love the First Aid Beauty Radiance Pads but the CeraVe Renewing Salicylic Acid Cleanser is a great drugstore option!)
Always use disposable cloths instead of a regular towel on your face to reduce bacteria, breakouts, or infections (I love the Clean Skin Club ones!)
Exfoliate your body 2-3 times a week using a dry brush or a scrub (I love the CeraVe Salicylic Acid Body Cleanser, but my favorite is the OUAI Sugar Scrub) and follow it up with a hydrating body moisturizer
Always exfoliate and moisturize before shaving, waxing, or other body hair removal treatments (look up the timeframes for the type of hair removal you choose)
Scrub under your nails daily with antibacterial soap & water and a nail brush
Vaseline is a versatile staple item that can be used as an affordable alternative to an eye cream, cuticle oil, lip balm, or hand cream, and can be used to treat any dry, cracked, or rough patches on the skin
Use a hand lotion and moisturizer on your feet with socks every night before bed
Aloe vera and coconut oil are great skincare staples to keep on hand to soothe burns, irritation, or inflamed skin
Haircare Tips:
Shampoo your skull, condition the rest: Focus shampoo on your roots and work it through your scalp; concentrate conditioner on the ends and work your way up until you reach the base of your skull - around your upper ear lobe
Always comb, never brush, your hair when wet: Gently use a wide-tooth comb, from root to tip, on wet hair to prevent breakage
Use a special towel to dry your hair: My favorite is from Crown Affair (pricey for what it is but worthwhile in the long-term), but a Turbie Twist from the drugstore works infinitely better than a regular towel that weighs down and causes frizzy, damaged hair
Always use a heat protection spray before blow drying or straightening/curling your hair: (Briogeo and Oribe products are my love for all haircare products, including their blowdry creams – also love R +Co. for a heat protection styling mist)
Choose your hair ties wisely: Use seamless or silk hair ties exclusively to prevent breakage or awkward creases on your hair. Wear a silk scrunchie if you prefer. These hair ties from Amazon are my holy grail (only $7 for 100 hair ties!), and they come in a portable ziplock bag
Use dryer sheets to minimize hair frizz and water or Vaseline to slick back fly-aways
Other Hygiene Tips:
Brush teeth, floss, & skincare (2x/day); Get a water pick, too, if you can!
Use a toothbrush cover at all times; Close the toilet seat before flushing
Wash your body towels at least once a week
Wash your pillowcases weekly and sheets at least once every 2 weeks
Throw out and replace your mascara every 2-3 months
Change your underwear and socks daily or more after sweating/working out
For those who menstruate, change your pad or tampon every 3-4 hours
Vulva owners: Use a fragrance-free soap on the outside, only water to clean the inside – no fancy wipes or douching. Wipe front to back!
Wear cotton underwear whenever possible; Find a fabric that breathes
Have a similar buttocks cleansing routine that you do for your face to prevent embarrassing zits or acne
Don't shave between waxes; Use tweezers if necessary a few days after your hair removal treatment
Always wash your hands before touching your face
Hope this helps xx

my current skincare routine 🫧🧴
Tumblr media Tumblr media
concerns ♡ oily skin, hormonal acne, scars, pores, sensitive skin? idk
cleansing ♡
cleansing my skin is one of my favorite steps! i love removing all the impurities on skin and prepping my skin for the next steps. i always double cleanse {even though i don’t wear makeup} and massage the cleanser in for 60 secs and rinse with warm water.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
exfoliation ♡
i have sensitive skin, so i’m careful not to over exfoliate or use harsh techniques/ingredients, but i still like having smooth skin :3 . i do this step 2-3 times a week using either the exfoliating cloth i got from fenty beauty or an exfoliating cleanser. with either a physical or chemical exfoliant, i’m really gentle and just lightly buff away the dead skin to reveal the beautiful soft supple skin underneath. <3
toner ♡
just recently i started exploring toners with active ingredients! i used to always use witch hazel and call it a day but i became curious abt korean or japanese beauty and what their skincare is like. i have a ‘special’ liquid toner {the strawberry milk pure cure from the creme shop} and toner pads {one step moisture from cosrx} both are super hydrating which i love and the strawberry milk one smells super good. <333
tmi but in high school i used to use straight alcohol as a toner 🫣 and i remembered i burned my skin from being to rough with it pFFT!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
mask ♡
i’m absolutely obsessed with sheet masks. they’ve become quite the addictive purchase and frequently used in my routine and i’m not upset abt that. they’re also very relaxing and my skin feels so rejuvenated after. i always follow the directions on the pack for time limit and then pat the leftover essence into my skin. {bonus points bc i use the extra essence on my body :3} i a l s o have an overnight sleeping mask from laniege which applies like a moisturizer rather than a sheet mask.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
moisturizer ♡
my moisturizer really does depend on a few factors: my skin condition, time of day, and season/weather. i rotate between a gel cream, heavy cream, or light lotion/cream. gel creams are for my breakout/oiliest days; light creams are for normal skin condition, daytime and warmer days; and heavy creams are for drier skin, colder weather, and nights. {i hope that made sense}
Tumblr media Tumblr media
treatment ♡
treatments are the extra steps i take when my skin needs it. recently i just weathered a serious breakout and my skin is scarred to the high heavens </3 so when i get the chance i use a spot treatment to help fade scars and help my skin heal {what acne? spot treatment by the creme shop} i also have a few of their acne patches in cute heart, star, and cloud shapes which i use to speed healing and protect the area from further irritation.
tips ♡
always start with clean hands and tools
pat, don’t rub
let your products set for a minute or two in between steps for maximum absorption
after finishing your routine, allow your face to absorb everything for 5-10 mins before wearing a mask, applying makeup or going to bed etc
change pillow cases often
introduce a only few new products a months to avoid extreme irritation
most importantly: do what works for you 🫶🏽
as always,
thanks for reading 🛁

One tip that I always recommend when it comes to trying new products that you are not familiar with is investing in the travel size before committing to a full size product to avoid the feeling of “damn I bought this $60 cleanser that is not getting the job done”
If you share the same skin concerns (hyper pigmentation, uneven skin tone, texture, acne, dullness) and are looking for some new new in your routine I highly recommend giving these products a chance.
🫧Dermalogica|Daily Microfoliant Exfoliator: A gentle, rice-based powder exfoliant that brightens and improves the look of your skin and clears pores and suitoable for any skin type. What I love about this product is that not only does a little go a long way but it actually cleanses the skin and breaks down makeup!
🫧Kora Organics| Noni Glow Face Oil: This face oil was designed to treat the face and neck by aiding in dullness, uneven skin tone & texture while providing a natural glow and brightening the skin. As someone that travels often this oil comes with me everywhere as it visibility keeps my skin hydrated after a flight and long hours in the airport.
🫧Kora Organics| Turmeric BHA Pore & Brightening Mask: This is hands down my favorite exfoliating and detoxifying face mask. The Turmeric extract in the mask tackles pigmentation while the Aspen Bark helps to visibly refine skin texture leaving me with bright and beautiful skin. I recommend using this mask at most 2-3x a week.
🫧The Ordinary| Exfoliating Peeling Solution: Sissss if you don’t have this in your routine please do yourself a favor and pick it up like yesterday. At $9.50 this mask will treat hyper pigmentation and reduced congestion in the skin that leads to a build up of clogged pores and acne. Recommended use is 2-3x a week
🫧The Ordinary| Exfoliating Toning Solution: From Witch Hazel to toner after toner this product by The Ordinary deserves a 10/10. Over the course of 3 weeks it has visibly improved the radiance of my skin and texture. This used after the Dermalogica face cleanser is a powerful duo.

Hello everyone! I know I went missing for about a week, my apologies. I'll talk about it a bit more with tomorrow's check in. For today, let's focus on some self-care!
For this month, I'm focusing quite a bit on "fun" self-care. We've had a few posts now talking about the importance of the harder tasks involved in taking care of yourself, and this month I know that I personally need to put some heavy emphasis on being kind to myself. So I want to share that with all of you.
A "consumer" spa day - a day where you go to salons or massage parlours or commercial spas - can be very, very pricey. Manicures alone are running between $25 and $60 in my area, depending on who you go to, and adding in foot care, facials, hair care, massage, and more makes the register ring up higher and higher, which I know not everyone can afford. I sure can't! So instead, let's think about what we can do at home with things that we have. If you don't have the following supplies, that's okay! Use what you do have, and if you have money available for indulging, swing by a dollar store - no one wants to admit it, but a lot of their stuff is fairly good quality!
Tumblr media
The first thing you want to do is make yourself a menu, like the one above! This one is just an example, I don't do all of this for my spa days, but it gives you a good idea of what your possible options are.
Once you've set up your menu, make a list of supplies you need for each treatment. My list is below, but your list may be different depending on your skin and hair type, and your personal hygiene preferences!
Hair Care - Shampoo - Conditioner - Hair Dryer - Box Dye - Vitamin E Oil
Facial - Exfoliant - Cleanser/Soap - Toner - Lotion - Toothbrush/Toothpaste - Floss
All-Over Care - Exfoliant (soap and/or cloth) - Body oil (I like peppermint in the morning or lavender at night!) - Depilatory cream - Lotion
Mani/Pedi - Nail kit (minimum clippers and file) - Soap - Lotion - Vitamin E Oil - Nail Polish - Top Coat
I tried to keep my list pretty general, but I know that I would be buying very specific items because of my eczema, skin type, and allergies. So make sure that your list accommodates your specific needs, okay?
Some other things to make your spa day extra luxurious:
Candles, incense, or scent diffusers (if you have pets or allergies, keep that in mind while choosing your scents/oils!)
Face masks
Cooling or heating packs (good for soreness and inflammation)
Curling iron/hair straightener for styling fun
Hot tea or hot cocoa
Sweet treats - baked goods or chocolates are great for spas
I recommend setting aside between 1 and 3 hours for your pampering session. You want to give yourself time to relax and enjoy it after all. Have a wonderful rest of your weekend everyone, and I'll see you tomorrow!

Joan Rivers died from a complication from her plastic surgery. The medical examiner said...
And the reason they call it plastic surgery, it's because people look plastic, not real.... And this is because they don't work on the natural aspects of the skin, the elasticity...
These surgeons should recommend a regiment of care. Before surgery to get the skin, to a place where it makes the surgery more effective. And then they have to do after care... So you have to do all this work prior to the surgery... This is an elective surgery.... So they must require you to do all these things. Prior to getting you ready for the surgery, and then you have to do these things. After the surgery.. And this protects the doctor from malpractice....
Your skin becomes less elastic as you age but you can improve it by reducing your sun exposure, eating a nutritious diet, and using certain topical products like retinol. Loss of skin elasticity is a natural part of the aging process.Aug 29, 2019

Skin Elasticity: 13 Ways to Improve It - Healthline
Skin elasticity naturally decreases with age, but there are some things you can try to improve it:
Obesity Free
Natural Remedies to Improve Skin Strength and Elasticity after weight loss surgery
Hydration. Moisture loss, which is common as people age, is one reason why the skin loses ...
Hydration
Drink half your body weight in ounces of water to help prevent moisture loss, which can make skin look less firm and plump. You can also use a humidifier to keep indoor humidity between 45% and 60% to reduce dry, itchy skin.
Sleep
Getting enough sleep gives your skin time to repair itself, which can help prevent sagging and puffiness.
Exercise
Regular exercise increases circulation, which delivers more oxygen and nutrients to your skin and can also tone your facial muscles.
Topical treatments
Creams, lotions, and serums that contain retinol can help improve elasticity, especially around the eyes and on the face. Prescription retinoids, like retin-A and tretinoin, can be more effective than over-the-counter products because they can boost collagen production.
Diet
Eating foods that contain vitamin C and antioxidants, and limiting caffeine can help preserve or increase collagen production. Collagen is a natural substance that the body produces less of as people age, which can make skin look looser.
Other treatments
Chemical peels can exfoliate damaged skin and stimulate collagen and elastin production. Laser resurfacing can also improve skin texture and tighten skin.

The 60-Second Trick for Better Skin
What if we told you, it only takes 60 seconds to make a noticeable improvement in your skin? One minute is enough to achieve a cleaner, brighter, and more hydrated complexion, according to pharmacist Lena de Pons. De Pons, who recommends cleansing for just 60 seconds, believes this practice can help your skin improve and make you more mindful of other self-care moments.
How does the “one-minute rule” work?
First, De Pons says you need to choose the correct cleanser. "Surfactants can be too strong [in exfoliating cleansers], so look to use milder ones,” she explains. “Strong surfactants remove all the dirt and grease they come across, and on the surface of the skin, we have the hydrolipidic film, which is a mixture of water and fats produced naturally by our skin to keep it hydrated, as well as performing many other functions. When we use soaps that are too strong, you might remove the dirt, but you’ll also take away the hydrolipidic film, which leaves the skin exposed. This is when the skin will feel dry and tight and, in some cases, cause flaking and redness.
After choosing a gentle cleanser, you'll notice that these cleansers take longer to remove makeup, dirt, and grime, which highlights the effectiveness of the “one-minute rule.” “When we use cleansers suitable for our face, we should give them time to actually cleanse the skin. You may not feel squeaky clean because you won’t give the surfactants enough time to emulsify and wash away all the dirt on the skin. That’s why I always recommend spending a minute massaging and emulsifying the soap with the water before rinsing it off. Sometimes it’s not a matter of trying new routines or getting expensive products; it’s enough to invest time in correctly applying the products we already have.”
60 Seconds of Self-Care
Dedicating 60 seconds to our skincare can also benefit our mental and emotional well-being. “Many of my patients take advantage of the 60 seconds of facial cleansing to do other self-care activities that require a similar amount of time, such as mindfulness exercises or Kegel exercises to strengthen the pelvic floor. Associating a beauty routine with other activities that generate wellness will increase adherence to both activities. You may find the minute of facial cleansing initially strange but take it as time with yourself; a moment of pause and reflection.”
Water, Water, and More Water
“For soap to work well, you must use it with lots and lots of water—too much is not possible! Think of a bubble bath: no matter how much water you add, the soap will not stop foaming. That’s why I always recommend applying the cleanser with wet hands and a wet face,” says de Pons. “It’s easy—dispense the soap into your hand, then refill it with more water. Rub your hands together vigorously to create a lather and apply all over your face in circular motions. Keep massaging the product in for those 60 seconds, and don’t be afraid to add more water to the mixture if needed. Finally, rinse with plenty of lukewarm water and pat your face dry with a clean towel.”
Choosing the Right Cleanser
When choosing a cleanser, consider your skin type and needs. “If you are not clear about your needs, my advice is to opt for formulas that claim to be for sensitive skin: they have just enough to cleanse the skin and soothe it at the same time,” explains de Pons.
For example, using Storyderm 02 White could be an effective choice for those looking for a gentle yet thorough cleansing experience.

Discovering the Best Toner for Face
Tumblr media
The solution for reviving greasy and dull skin is the regular use of a skin toner. Especially, if you have oily skin, you will suffer from lots of skin problems. Oily skin is the most which is prone to acne, pimples, and breakouts on the face.

Unlock the Secrets to Fuller, Healthier Hair with Hair Filler: The Ultimate Guide
youtube
In today's fast-paced world, maintaining a vibrant and youthful appearance is more crucial than ever. Among the various beauty concerns, hair thinning and hair loss are top issues that many individuals face. Thankfully, innovative solutions like hair filler treatments are now available, providing an effective way to restore hair volume and confidence. At Salamatnews, we are dedicated to bringing you the latest and most reliable information on hair care solutions, and today we dive deep into the world of hair fillers.
Understanding Hair Fillers
What are Hair Fillers? Hair fillers are a revolutionary treatment designed to combat hair thinning and hair loss. They are made from various ingredients, including hyaluronic acid, peptides, and other nourishing compounds. These substances are injected into the scalp to stimulate hair growth, improve hair thickness, and enhance overall hair health.
How Do Hair Fillers Work? Hair fillers work by providing essential nutrients directly to the hair follicles. This targeted approach ensures that the follicles receive the necessary stimulation to grow thicker and healthier hair. The treatment also improves blood circulation in the scalp, which is crucial for maintaining strong and healthy hair. Over time, patients can expect to see significant improvements in hair density and volume.
Benefits of Hair Fillers
Immediate Results One of the standout benefits of hair fillers is the speed at which they deliver results. Many individuals notice a visible improvement in hair thickness and volume shortly after their first treatment. This rapid transformation makes hair fillers an attractive option for those looking for quick and effective solutions.
Non-Invasive Treatment Unlike hair transplant surgeries, hair fillers are a non-invasive treatment option. This means there are no incisions, stitches, or lengthy recovery periods. Patients can resume their daily activities immediately after the procedure, making it a convenient choice for those with busy lifestyles.
Natural Ingredients Hair fillers often contain natural ingredients like hyaluronic acid, which is known for its hydrating and rejuvenating properties. These ingredients are gentle on the scalp and minimize the risk of adverse reactions, ensuring a safe and effective treatment for all hair types.
Long-Lasting Effects With regular treatments, the effects of hair fillers can be long-lasting. Many patients report sustained improvements in hair volume and health for months after their initial treatments. This durability makes hair fillers a cost-effective solution for long-term hair care.
The Hair Filler Treatment Process
Consultation The first step in the hair filler treatment process is a thorough consultation with a qualified specialist. During this session, the specialist will assess your hair and scalp condition, discuss your goals, and determine if hair fillers are the right solution for you.
Preparation Before the treatment, the scalp is cleaned and prepped to ensure optimal results. This preparation phase may include a gentle exfoliation to remove dead skin cells and enhance the absorption of the hair filler ingredients.
Injection The hair filler is then carefully injected into the scalp using fine needles. The specialist will strategically place the injections to target areas with thinning hair or hair loss. The procedure is typically quick, lasting around 30 to 60 minutes, and is generally well-tolerated by patients.
Post-Treatment Care After the treatment, patients may experience mild redness or swelling at the injection sites, which usually subsides within a few hours. It is essential to follow any post-treatment care instructions provided by the specialist to ensure the best possible results.
Who Can Benefit from Hair Fillers? Hair fillers are suitable for a wide range of individuals experiencing hair thinning or hair loss. Whether you are dealing with genetic hair loss, hormonal changes, or damage from styling and environmental factors, hair fillers can help restore your hair's volume and vitality. Both men and women can benefit from this treatment, making it a versatile option for anyone looking to improve their hair health.

I understand that current "best practice" dermatology insists chemical exfoliates are better for your skin than manual ones, but my face never feels better or softer than right after I have finished aggressively destroying it with the equivalent of 60 grit sandpaper.

What Are the Best Anti-Aging Approaches for Younger People?
Can you be too young to have BOTOX®, fillers, or even a facelift? Philadelphia area’s Cross Medical Group explains that although cosmetic treatments and surgeries have long been the go-to for people wanting to address signs of aging, younger people are increasingly turning to preventive measures to maintain their youthful appearance and stave off the signs of aging in the first place.
In the past, people would often wait until they started seeing more severe signs of aging before taking steps to address changes to their skin. “Prejuvenation” refers to the process of combining a good skincare routine with non-surgical aesthetic treatments to keep skin looking youthful. Some younger patients could also benefit from more dramatic treatments. From targeted skincare routines to non-invasive cosmetic procedures and surgical options, there's a multitude of strategies available for younger individuals looking to defy the effects of time and preserve their skin's vitality.
Why Is Early Prevention Important in Skincare?
Prevention is key when it comes to anti-aging skincare. It’s typically easier to prevent signs of aging than to correct them after they have become established. It can also be less expensive to prevent wrinkles, shifting contours, and other changes than to correct them.
While aging is a natural process, certain lifestyle factors and environmental stressors can accelerate the skin's aging process, leading to premature wrinkles, fine lines, and sagging. With this in mind, there are several benefits to adopting a proactive approach to skincare.
What Are the Essential Components of Anti-Aging Skincare for Younger People?
Sun Protection
Sun exposure is one of the primary contributors to premature aging. Incorporating a broad-spectrum sunscreen into your daily skincare regimen is essential, regardless of your age. Use a sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher and reapply every couple of hours.
Hydration
Proper hydration is crucial for maintaining skin elasticity and suppleness. Younger individuals should use a lightweight, non-comedogenic moisturizer to keep their skin hydrated without clogging pores.
Antioxidants
Antioxidants such as vitamin C, vitamin E, and green tea extract help protect the skin from free radical damage caused by environmental pollutants and UV radiation. Look for serums or creams containing these ingredients to neutralize oxidative stress and promote skin health.
Gentle Cleansing
Harsh cleansers can strip the skin of its natural oils and disrupt its moisture barrier, leading to dryness and irritation. Choose a gentle, pH-balanced cleanser that effectively removes impurities without causing damage to the skin barrier.
Exfoliation
Regular exfoliation helps slough off dead skin cells and promote cell turnover, revealing smoother, more radiant skin underneath. Incorporate a gentle chemical exfoliant into your skincare routine once per week to maintain a healthy glow.
What Are the Best Cosmetic Treatment Options for Younger People?
Even when you’re younger, it’s still important to consider how your skin will evolve with time. As mentioned above, applying sunscreen and avoiding too much exposure to UV rays can go a long way toward delaying signs of aging when you’re in your 20s and 30s. Additionally, you can explore non-surgical treatments that offer subtle enhancements with minimal downtime, making them ideal for busy lifestyles. Treatments such as BOTOX® injections and dermal fillers can reduce early signs of aging once they appear.
For patients who have noticed more significant signs of aging developing, a facelift improves contour changes on the lower two-thirds of the face. The procedure can involve removing or repositioning skin to reduce sagging skin in a way that isn’t possible with non-surgical approaches.
Traditional thinking was that facelifts were only meant for patients aged 60 and older, but an increasing number of younger people are trying facelifts rather than waiting to allow aging to take its course. Having a facelift as a younger patient has some benefits, such as the fact that your recovery process will be quicker, you can enjoy a more youthful-looking aging process overall, and the results will look more natural.
Contact the Philadelphia area’s Cross Medical Group for more advice about how cosmetic treatments can help you to maintain a youthful look and address or delay signs of aging. Call (215) 561-9100 or submit a contact form to request a consultation if you would like to discuss aesthetic treatments.

Celebrating Holi: Essential Skincare Strategies for Radiant Health
Tumblr media
Introduction
As Holi fills the air with joy and swathes every corner in vibrant hues, it's crucial not to overlook our skin's well-being amidst the revelry. The anticipation leading up to Holi can be infectious, yet a slight oversight might expose our skin to potential harm. This Holi, let's ensure our skin receives the affection and attention it merits, with appropriate skincare before and after the festivities.
Dispelling Oiling Myths for Holi:
The tradition of oiling before engaging in Holi festivities stems from an era of purer air and naturally-derived colors from flowers, vegetables, and leaves. However, in today's less pristine environments, the question arises: How beneficial is pre-Holi oiling?
Applying oil to your face before Holi can inadvertently amplify the harmful effects of UV rays. The combination of oil and sunlight can enhance UV penetration, leading to sunburn, irritation, and more severe outcomes like premature aging and skin cancer. Moreover, oil can trap dirt and impurities, clogging pores and potentially leading to acne. To safeguard your skin from UV damage and maintain its health, it's advisable to forgo facial oiling during Holi.
Instead, explore essential natural skincare strategies for both pre and post-Holi to minimize skin damage.
Pre-Holi Skin Prep:
Embark on a self-care journey before Holi, ensuring your skin not only sparkles with festive colors but also radiates health and vitality. Incorporate these skincare essentials into your routine for an enhanced pre-Holi skin prep experience:
Hydrating Serums:
Hydration is key, and incorporating serums with Hyaluronic Acid can profoundly hydrate the skin. These serums, containing molecules of various sizes, penetrate the skin to protect against damage and create a surface barrier against excess color and bacteria. Opt for products like the Kass Hydrating Serum – 2% Hyaluronic Acid to boost moisture levels and achieve a plump, supple complexion.
Moisture-Boost Creams:
Formulated with emollients like kokum butter and lavender essential oil, moisture boost creams help retain moisture and prevent water loss by reinforcing the skin’s lipid barrier. Using a product like the Kass Moisture Boost Face Cream can strengthen your skin's defenses against environmental stressors, resulting in a smoother, softer complexion.
High SPF Sunscreen:
Sunscreen is indispensable, offering protection against the sun's UV rays. A high SPF (50 or 60) sunscreen can block about 98% – 99% of UVB rays, preventing sunburn and sun damage.
Post-Holi Skin Care:
After the festive colors have settled, it's time to gently restore your skin's luminosity with a post-Holi skincare routine, starting with:
Aloe Vera Cleanser:
Utilize an aloe vera-based cleanser for its soothing properties, especially on sensitized skin. Aloe vera's natural exfoliating capabilities remove dead skin cells without irritation, maintaining hydration and the skin's natural pH. The Kass Aloe Vera Face Wash is ideal for calming and refreshing your skin post-Holi.
Brightening Serum:
Combat the dullness caused by sun exposure with a brightening serum that also acts as an antioxidant. The Kass Brightening Serum can help restore your skin's natural glow.
Barrier-Fix Moisturizers:
To address any potential damage to the skin barrier, incorporate moisturizers designed to reinforce and repair it. Ingredients like ceramides in the Kass Barrier Fix- Enhanced Hydration Face Cream can prevent moisture loss and maintain hydration, enhancing skin health and resilience.
Nourishing Night Creams:
Night creams packed with ceramide, Kesar, and essential oils provide targeted nourishment and hydration, leveraging the skin’s peak repair time during sleep. The Kass Nourishing Night Cream ensures you wake up with rejuvenated, glowing skin.

An Overview of Laser Hair Reduction
Tumblr media
Waxing, shaving, and plucking are all temporary hair removal methods. It's now time to use lasers. This is a safe, non-invasive way to effectively remove unwanted hair for all skin types. The face, hands, legs, armpits or underarms, back, chest, bikini line, and pubic area are the most common areas for laser hair removal.
Based on the insights shared by the laser experts of SB Aesthetics Clinic, the best laser hair removal clinic in Gurgaon, this blog will detail laser hair removal and its related aspects.
What is the Procedure for Laser Hair Removal Treatment?
A detailed description of the procedure that is followed to perform laser hair removal at SB Aesthetics is mentioned below.
In this treatment, the target area is first cleaned.
Shaving is done to remove surface hair.
Then a cooling gel is applied to make the treatment painless.
The patient's eyes are also protected by making him/her wear safety glasses.
Then gently, the laser with inbuilt cooling technology, which follows the heat wave, is moved over the target site.
Based on the target site and skin type, lasers are used. The lasers are effective and fast, and they can treat multiple hair follicles at once in a fraction of a second.
Treatment can take 5-15 minutes for a small surface area. For a larger target site, the average time can be between 15-60 minutes.
How Does Laser Hair Removal Work?
The three growth stages of hair are anagen, catagen, and telogen. In the anagen (growth) phase, the hair produces melanin, a dark pigment. The laser specifically targets the anagen phase-produced melanin in the hair follicle's hair bulb. The bulb and remaining follicle are also destroyed by the laser along with the melanin-producing cells. The laser hair removal treatment generally must be repeated 3–5 times to catch all the hair in the anagen phase. Typically, about 4-6 treatment sessions are required for satisfying results.
Lasers leave the skin smooth and softer and are the best option if a patient has a history of ingrown hair. The laser removes hair at the root and acts as a prevention for painful ingrown hair.
Ideal Candidates for Laser Hair Reduction
The best part is that the advanced lasers are effective on all skin colors and hair types. At SB Aesthetics, innovative lasers are available that are able to deliver amazing results to anyone and everyone!
Treatment Instructions
Do not wax, tweeze, or have electrolysis on the treated area for 4 weeks prior to or during the treatment.
Avoid using products like retinoids, exfoliating scrubs, and bleaching creams 3 days before treatment.
For two weeks before treatment, avoid all sun exposure.
Avoid hot showers, saunas, hot tubs, and strenuous sports for 4-5 days following treatment.
Avoid picking or scratching the treated skin after treatment.
Follow the entire treatment plan as directed by the laser expert and follow up appointments on time to get the best results.
The number of sessions needed are based on the hair type, area to be treated and other factors. These sessions are spaced about 3-4 weeks apart and are necessary to obtain optimum results.
One should protect their skin from sun exposure and use a broad spectrum sunscreen daily post-laser treatment for best results.
Want to get this treatment done? Visit SB Aesthetics, the best cosmetic clinic in Gurgaon, today!

Chemical Peels San Diego
Chemical Peels
Do you barely recognize the face that looks back at you in the mirror? If so, you’re not alone. Aging is inevitable. Time, gravity, sun damage, environmental impurities, poor nutrition, and many other factors all cause your skin to loosen and sag. Additionaly, the tone and texture of your skin can become uneven and hyperpigmented.
Fortunately, chemical peels can help fix all that and more.
What’s a Chemical Peel Exactly?
A chemical peel is a cosmetic procedure where a chemical solution is applied to the cleansed skin in order to remove the dead and damaged top layers. The skin then grows back smoother, and more even in color and texture.
Chemical peels are usually used on the face, to treat wrinkles, pigmentations, and scars. There are peels of different depths: light, medium, and deep, with the deeper ones giving more dramatic results but taking longer to heal. Chemical peels are effective alone or can be combined with other cosmetic procedures.
At Allurant Medical, one of our most popular peels is the VI Peel family. If you’re not ready for the ravages of time to show on your face, there are numerous regenerative treatments to combat aging signs, and the VI Peel is just one of them.
What’s in the VI-Peel?
No matter your age or skin type, the VI Peel may be the answer to your aging skin. The VI Peel uses a mixture of vitamins and chemicals to rejuvenate your skin’s texture and your complexion overall. The founders of the VI Peel from the Los Angeles-based Vitality Institute describe it as a “Great first-time peel for all age groups who want fresh, healthy, radiant skin”.
The peel has TCA (trichloroacetic acid), Vitamin C, Retin-A, Salicylic Acid, and Phenol, which leaves your skin more vibrant and youthful. It’s a gentle medium-depth peel that offers instant and long-term regenerative results since it encourages collagen production. The more targeted versions of the peel may include Hydroquinone, Kojic Acid, Benzoyl Peroxide, Hydrocortisone to target breakouts, hyperpigmentation, and inflammation.
VI Peel Benefits:
The VI Peel has five different versions each tailored to a specific concern; however, the overall benefits include:
Reducing active acne and superficial acne scars: The VI Peel soothes inflammation, therefore, reducing active acne. It also brightens dark areas as well as increases collagen to plump depressed or pitted skin.
Diminishing sun spots, hyperpigmentation, melasma: The ingredients in the VI Peel work synergistically to brighten the skin and leave the complexion glowing.
Smoothing wrinkles and fine lines: The VI Peel resurfaces the skin stimulating new cell production. The combination of acids, antioxidants, and exfoliants penetrates the skin deeply, causing the production of collagen and elastin for smoother, and firmer skin with a youthful appearance.
What Should I Expect During a VI Peel?
Your doctor will clean your face then apply a chemical peel solution to your skin’s outer layer. It’s common to feel a mild tingling or burning sensation while the solution sits on your skin for a few minutes. The treatment will take approximately one hour from start to finish. Your skin will peel for a few days post-procedure, and the staff at Allurant Medical will give you aftercare instructions to help your skin heal more quickly. We’ll also offer the best products to use for after-care cleaning and moisturizing.
Am I a Candidate for a Chemical Peel?
You’re likely a fantastic candidate for a chemical peel because chemical peels work with any skin type. But everyone is different, so how your skin reacts to a chemical peel will be unique.
How Long Does it Take?
The treatment takes approximately 60 minutes, and you may need five to seven days of downtime since your skin will continue to peel.
You must follow the aftercare instructions. Use a powerful facial sunscreen and avoid sun exposure as much as possible for one week following your treatment, so your skin doesn’t darken.
What About Side Effects?
Side effects are minimal to none. Most people peel around day 3-4 up to 7 days, and you must resist the urge to pick at the skin. This is especially important for patients with darker skin tones, as the picking can cause temporary skin discoloration around three days after treatment, though it dissipates independently. Other side effects may include swelling, redness, irritation, and sensitivity.
What About Cost?
Your chemical peel cost depends on how many treatments you need to reach your desired skin goals. Our treatments are affordable and reasonably priced, and we offer financing options to suit your budget. It’s best to schedule a complimentary consultation and have Allurant Medical develop a personalized treatment plan just for you.
