Noibat/Noivern are such a fond memory for me! I loved them in XY but because they were found so late I never got around to using one but then in an Omega Ruby wonderlocke I received one as my starter! I dubbed him Lavender and he swept almost the entire game.

I've been getting a new wave of spam comments recently on AO3 that are easy for me to spot because they are responding to my fandom stats meta as if it were fiction:

I believe I've only been getting these on my most recently updated three works (and mostly on the oldest of those three, which is also the most popular, the only WIP, and the only one with multiple chapters). But it's also possible I got some comments on older works that were fiction, and I didn't recognize them as spam.

Has anyone else been noticing a similar influx?

*Edit to add: redacted because at least some of the names the bots are using are real usernames, appropriated for spam. (But if the name in a comment is not linked, it's not the actual user leaving the comment.) If you see such comments yourself, don't blame the real users for the spam bots' actions!

something taking inspiration from something else or being a retelling of something else is nottttt the same thing at all as published fanfiction. what has to be rotted in your brain to make you even allude to that being the same thing… people want everything to be fanfiction so bad and it’s NOT. even if you don’t like it that still doesn’t make it fanfiction just because you think it sucks…. i don’t like harry potter but you don’t see me logging on to call miss rowling out for it being the once and future king fanfiction. and it’s literally known and stated to be a retelling. see how i conduct myself with mindfulness and respect for facts even when i don’t personally like the Accused…. very mindful very demure! see how i get hung up on minute details of things people criticize despite them not even being the Point? now that’s more like a symptom but still i’m respectful <3

Something that is very interesting to me is how different countries handle on screen kissing. In telenovelas they full on seem like they’re trying to eat each other’s faces off, like it’s almost pornographic…. But i once watched a chinese drama where they just locked lips but absolutely did not move a muscle otherwise, and their eyes were open the whole time.

Oh also btw I stopped doing speedpaints because the files were too big and literally killing my computer. Tried it out, my *looks at notes* balls ass tiddies old handmedown gaming laptop is not powerful enough for that so it's a thing to revisit later
