Rambled about this earlier on bsky but I wanna do it without a character limit lmao. I find the choice of color pallete for the characters weve seen so far in plz-a really interesting in the context of the rest of the series. Specifically with how 'evened out' everyone is so far with the exception of the rivals who match the previous generations nave blue and scarlet color and lack any green that whould tie them in with everyone else (if i had to guess while were handling zygarde theyll both probably have something to do with the other two in the story). Obviously green for zygarde no surprise their but its really interesting to me how centralized everyone's color pallete is. Everyone thats prominent has some kind of shade or hue of green or at least something thay can read as green and hence the cyan the ladies got thays grayed out to give the impression of green in most contexts. Obviously her and tha guard make sense they prob have something or will have something to fo with zygarde. We dont have many other characters revealed either so small sample size but i honestly kinda like the impression it gives. They still look distinct still with the variations in green and the accents they have but it makes everyone weirdly cohesive. Or at least weird for pokemon I cant recall a time that a pokemon game has had characters feel so color coordinated as a whole unless they have a uniform of some kind. Outside of the gameplay itself it was the first thing that captured my attention. Very curious to see if this will actually be a thing throughout. Like the way it sets a mood/ common world and people's relation to said world. Theres the rivals obviously. Outside of being the rival I whouldnt be surprised if they end up being more of an opposing force to whatever big baf is in the game then most rivals. Then theres az with his big swatches of grayish orange. Dudes super old has been through alot DONE a hell of a lot and whatever happens in the story hes likely to be very opinionated and linked in some way so his color scheme makes a lot of sense in that regard. Protags and theyre inclusion of the same red and blue that the rivals have is obviously *hint hint nudge nudge*ing to us being balance bringers with zygarde or smthing. This is a lot of conclusions and thoughts on like 5 peoples color schemes but idk man it caught my attention

Pokemon Horizons Episode 83 Review - The Path Of The Anti-Hero
Okay, I admit defeat. I keep debating with a friend on social media whether Gibeon is Amethio’s great-great grandfather like how Lucius is with Liko, but it doesn’t seem to be the case as of this episode. Other than that, Amethio fans will definitely love this episode as it is clearly focused on him. I can totally see him taking him the anti-hero path now.
Tumblr media
I really liked this episode because it gives so much characterization and depth to Amethio. He’s clearly a major player in this story, but how he was handled wasn’t great at times, but now, he’s getting that redemption. He has a mother who is revealed to be related to Gibeon and that he was once close to her but she died in a traffic accident; his Ceruledge has been with him ever since it was a Charcadet too. I found those details nice. I also like his relationship with his subordinates, Zirc and Onia, but I wish it was explored more. I want to know how these two met Amethio and why they’re so loyal to him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I found it amusing how Hamber was info-dumping the stuff about Gibeon’s past history with Lucius, Rystal and Laqua in a powerpoint presentation like he took the time and effort to compile information that’s supposed to be kept secret. Was it because he was going to tell Amethio sometime in the future? The whole segment felt like Amethio, Zirc and Onia going to a a seminar hosted by Hamber. I really would like to learn more about Hamber’s past from how he met Diana to how he stumbled across Gibeon and became a part of his family--and what purpose the Shiny Zygarde Cell he possesses will serve...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
One of the great things about Horizons is the constant mysteries shrouding the story. There are two in particular that piqued my interest in this episode. The first is Spinel’s possible betrayal. If you’re new here, I just want to let you know that my favorite Horizons character is Spinel. If I am not the biggest Spinel fan, then I don’t know what I am. Anyways, he’s a very suspicious character and he’s been trying to sabotage Amethio since the early days and now, it’s hinted that he might even betray Gibeon if they ever reach Laqua. His goal is potentially harvesting Lakurium but for what? What does he need it for?
Tumblr media
That’s where the second mystery comes in. Lakurium is the thing sustaining Gibeon and calling it Eternal Blessing meant that it’s making him immortal. The fact that the Rising Volt Tacklers all figured this out without needing someone to explain it to them shows that they’re all smart people. Mollie was able to figure out the functions of Lakurium just because of her job as a doctor. The explanation of how cells work really was profound. They were even able to figure out that Gibeon is alive and that he’s not someone else named Gibeon.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now that the group has somewhat reached Laqua, I do wonder where the story will head. Is the story reaching the end or will there be more after the Laqua ordeal? I apologize for posting this review so late. What are your thoughts on this episode and for the future of the show?

I keep seeing the argument as to whether or not Pokemon Legends Z-A is going to take place 200 years ago like Legends Arceus and like many fans believe to be the Paris Renovation period. Other suggestions I see are, of course, the "future" because of the hologram grid look of the teaser trailer- some say cyberpunk, some say dystopia, etc. The third one of course the present, and some people think it'll be a sequel to XY taking place a few years after. And of course, the fourth option: time travel between all three.
Personally, I'm not really sure what I think will happen anymore because I've heard convincing arguments from most angles on this. I will say that I fully expect the phrase "Legends Z-A takes entirely within Lumiose City" to be played with a bunch.
There's even arguments between 3 mixed gen starters vs just Kalos Starters but with mega evolutions, even the argument for both in a style similar to XY. Arguments I've seen against regional variant starters is that Kalos Starters really didn't get a highlight point like the Sinnoh starters did with BDSP and that Kalos doesn't have a remake, and that the reason Hisui had a random assortment was because it wasn't colonized yet whereas Lumiose probably would be. Arguments otherwise just kind of assume regional variant starters because it'd be a more interesting and new angle for marketing- which I kind of agree with.
I can see pros and cons to all the angles, but strangely enough, I'm thinking about how this affects Legends games going forward. Strange to think about when we know nothing about Z-A, but it does matter. Why?
Precedence and pattern.
1 game is not enough to determine a pattern. 2 games is more or less enough- look at Gen 1 and 2, setting the precedent and pattern of grass, fire, and water type starters that evolve twice and around the teen to early/mid 30s level range. Gen 2 and 3 even set a pattern of legendary Pokemon as box mascots for non Gen 1 focused games and a 3rd, enhanced version to follow (which BW2 breaks).
So what does this get at? Let's look at it like this:
If the game takes place 200ish years ago, we can sort of assume future Legends titles will follow a similar pattern. If we get a Legends Unova, that'll be during the American Civil War, or roughly 1800s America and possibly a touch of European thrown in (castles and such). If we get Legends Paldea, that'll be set in the established exploration of Area Zero. So on and so forth.
However, if it is set in a modern or future setting, then all precedence gets thrown out the window. There's no hard setting for when a Legends game can take place. Could be at any point in history, maybe even a case like helping a young Prof Oak fill the pokedex in a Kanto-Johto Legends, or perhaps a nature reclaimed Unova after a soft post apocalyptic event in the future.
Hell, depending on how they handle Lumiose, that could also mean anywhere associated with that region can be used rather than anywhen- instead of Legends Alola, imagine Legends ULTRA SPACE.
The starters are a similar boat. If we get a mixed gen regional variant evolution again, we can assume that'll be the established formula going forward, breathing new life into random starters.
HOWEVER, if they did go with Kalos + Megas as our main starters, that means the starters are mostly going to be a convenience of plot or what's currently available or unavailable.
There's also a non-zero chance we get a non traditional starter, which further complicates but adds possibilities to things. Think like convergent species starters, Pokemon that aren't starters BECOMING starters, maybe a Colosseum or XD situation where we get an assigned singular starter to work with. There's even a scenario where Zygarde IS our starter and we build it up as we go.
Basically it boils down to a pattern that can be deciphered, or complete anarchy at the whims of whoever is working on the game at the time.
There is also the scenario where we just don't get more Legends titles, but that's stupid and honestly not worth exploring further.
As for my wants, I'm not sure. I'm up for whatever as long as it's fun, runs well, and has effort put into it. Although, I think it'd be great to break some expectations so future titles can be pretty much ANYTHING. At the same time, I think it'd be wonderful to at least establish a series that takes place entirely in the past so we can get away from the modern milquetoast cultures they've been making these last few gens.
As for starters, I'm in the same boat, just make em fun and don't fuck em up. That's my bare minimum. Either improve the bad starter designs like Inteleon, make cool designs like Empoleon even cooler, or provide a fun alternative, such as a fire type Venusaur convergent or possibly something as random as a Seismitoad as a starter. Again, just make it fun and don't make me regret picking a starter. But I think it'd be better just to give the same treatment the Hisui starters got to another random trio.
We'll find out something before the end of the month, I'm sure.

Considering making a guide to Dynamax Adventure Hunts, specifically for legendaries since those are not just luck of the draw for encountering.
Any hunters who have sage advice for less talked about legendaries? I’m already aware of how piss easy Kartana can be and how Wide Guard is mandatory for Zygarde. I’m looking for interesting strats you’ve found that work.
For example: “Two of Rayquaza’s regular moves are multi-target (Brutal Swing and Twister) and so Wide Guard may be employed to alleviate unnecessary deaths. That point is compounded by Rayquaza’s high speed stat will mean that it gets the first jump on you and make quick work of your team, so packing heat with Talonflame’s Tailwind or staying cool and collected with a Trick Room from Jellicent may prove beneficial for your Ice Types to get the hits they need without crumbling.”
This document is something I hope to submit as a resource so if you wanna reblog this with constructive feedback and some tips that work, that world do wonders for research. I intend on including contributors to the best of my ability, and the resource will be available publicly when finished.
I’d like some help on the legends that do not have quad weaknesses. The Single-types and the dual types who are especially tough to crack like Kyuurem.
Currently the format for the document is:
Intro and FAQ
Single Types (Dex Order)
Dual Types (Dex Order)
Difficulty Tier List
Credits (Contributors, Writers, etc)
Please don’t give me cynical comments about how “DA is an awful method because of how high the chances are” or how “it’s so long, why would you hunt that way?!”
There are some Pokémon that were never caught by players because they didn’t have the game that holds them. It’s especially frustrating for those who avoided BDSP but loved the originals, or never got the chance to get 3DS virtual console games like GSC, or those who can’t migrate their Gen 4 mons to current day because of BW/B2W2’s silly transporter nonsense. Gen 5 games are surprisingly hard to come by as a result of that demand.
I know there are plenty of people who are more than willing to handle the long reset times, the difficulty with harder Legendaries, and the randomized items and Pokémon. That’s why I wanna make it— there’s a niche market for DA adventures and I want to figure out the best strats for everything and put it all together!

Confusing myself with my own Mewtwo AU's. (2024 Update)
Team Rocket AU->Unown AU= X
Hi guys :D
During the extremely long time I haven't been posting (2022-now), I've decided that the right thing to do is announce that I will not be continuing my AU anymore.
I've been a new artist for nearly 4 years, I've done WIPs and a few story-boards but in my heart I know this type of art-style and work is a bit too much to handle. I don't know much about pokemon and the show isn't in my interests. Tumblr is a great place to post that art but my lack of consistency always get the best of me. I've looked up to some great professional artists for Mewtwo AU's, like TC-96, mewtwoandme, and faeforge. However, my idea for an art-style was going to be the Sugimori Art-style, but I wanted to use my own ideas for a different type of content.
Tumblr media
(Professor Able and her pokemon team) (Zygarde and Eevee are missing)
This was the Team Rocket AU that was posted sometime during 2022. However, I wanted to change it into a theme of mystery.
Professor Able was a Team Rocket Scientist but protested not to use mew's fossils for the creation of mewtwo. She was fired for her aggression towards Mr.Fuji when he refused to cancel the project. Where they captured mew to obtain the fossil was an ancient jungle near the abandoned sites of Unown ruins. Shadow crystals also grew beneath tree roots. All of those artifacts combined lead to the Unown using their power to curse her into a mewtwo by night and a human by day. I included the Unown pokemon in this story so I could find some relevance to how my main character (originally was MAX but I changed her to Professor Able) was a shadow mewtwo.
However, this idea was quickly scrapped when I realized that the mew fossil would not change her into a mewtwo, but a mew (the universal logic of Mewtwo: can't be created unless they were born from a tube). Of course, I changed her character a bit but that meant that the Unown had little to no significance to the story.
So, in short terms this story will not be included in any recent posts.
Just posting the normal stuff now :)

Pokemon Card of the Day #2512: Vileplume (Burning Shadows)
Tumblr media
Vileplume was a Pokemon that, when you saw it would be getting a new card, the only question was how annoying it would be. The game has had a long history of annoying Vileplume cards, from the Trainer-locking Dark Vileplume, Vileplume ex, and Undaunted Vileplume to the simply Item-locking Vileplume form Ancient Origins. Even the less common Vileplume cards that didn’t lock could be annoying, with the Vileplume from Expedition and Vileplume Delta both having flips for Poison as an Ability, Erika’s Vileplume flipping for Confusion when hit, and Boundaries Crossed Vileplume making Weakness a 4x thing instead of 2x. The new Vileplume in Burning Shadows did none of those specific things, but it was still plenty annoying in that it prevented certain Pokemon from attacking when it was Active. It didn’t hit hard, and there were plenty of Pokemon that evolved and could be used, and despite that there would always be some decks that struggled to deal with this sort of thing. This gave the game yet another Vileplume to be annoyed by at some level.
140 HP was decent bulk, though it was on a Stage 2 and was therefore expected. Quite strong attacks could indeed hit for 140, though the most common scenario, especially with Choice Band being useless against Vileplume, was to survive a single hit from full health. The Fire Weakness would have been far worse on most Pokemon, and it still mattered if up against a Salazzle-GX. Other Fire-types, such as Volcanion-EX, Ho-Oh-GX, Blacephalon, and Reshiram & Charizard-GX, were Basic Pokemon and therefore were blocked as long as the Ability was active. Vileplume did need 3 Energy to retreat, and this was a problem for a Pokemon that stopped some Pokemon but was poor against others. This caused some interesting deck-building questions, as Vileplume decks tended to have plenty of Trainer space due to low Energy counts but also wanted so many disruptive cards to stall that it could be hard to fit more switching help. Sometimes it was better to sacrifice a Vileplume if you had other things in place.
Disgusting Pollen was the type of Ability people tried to build decks around. When Vileplume was the Active Pokemon, any of the opponent’s Basic Pokemon couldn’t attack. Whenever it was working (Garbodor from BREAKpoint and Hex Maniac could mess it up, at least for a turn in the latter case), Vileplume just stopped some common Pokemon from doing anything. This did include those Fire-types mentioned earlier, as well as other common attackers including Drampa-GX, Marshadow-GX, Necrozma-GX, Zygarde-GX, Rayquaza-GX, Buzzwole, and any of the Tag Team Pokemon. Blocking out that many Pokemon was quite impressive, with the obvious note that decks with ways to hit with anything that evolved could deal with Vileplume rather easily. Vileplume would need backup to work consistently, but there were some match-ups where it almost just won on its own just by sitting there with Disgusting Pollen doing the work.
One thing that held Vileplume back was its weak attack. 2 Grass and a Colorless Energy would typically get more than 60 damage and a coin flip. The flip, if heads, set Sleep on the opponent’s Active Pokemon. If tails, Confusion was set instead. Both were annoying, though not the most impressive Special Conditions, and the attack wasn’t very good in general. Many Vileplume decks didn’t even bother with attacking, partly due to how bad this was.
Vileplume was one of those cards that could simply win games. Yes, Guzma being so common did give decks ways around it to an extent. Any deck relying only on Basic Pokemon would have a hard time actually winning against Vileplume. The problem was that any deck with a prominent Stage 1 or Stage 2 would just handle things easily. The first two formats included more Stage 1 and 2 Pokemon than Basic Pokemon, making Vileplume rather poor. The rise of Tag Teams in the SUM-On format gave Vileplume more of a chance to shine, with its peak being a top 8 at an International tournament in a pairing with Lucario & Melmetal-GX. The need for a back-up to handle anything that had evolved was critical. Vileplume’s all-or-nothing nature kept it from reaching the top of the game, and it was uncommon enough that many top decks didn’t even take it into account and just hoped they wouldn’t run into one. This gave Vileplume the surprise factor, and no Tag Team deck really wanted to see this. In that way, Vileplume was incredibly annoying, which was on-brand for its long history.

So You Want To Run Through Preuzien?
i’ve received a fair few messages from people interested in having their muses go through prussia, with one person even being interested in making a preuzien OC, so i thought i’d do this post setting up some necessary boundaries and limitations for any character who intends to challenge the prussian league and make a name for themselves in my fakémon region. this applies primarily to muses who wish to start their prussia arcs before lotor became champion, although some of these points still apply to a certain extent even after he won the position.
without further ado…here we go. >:3
[TW: Mentions of death, animal abuse and human abuse. If these topics trigger you, do NOT have your muse do a run through pre-Lotor Preuzien.]
First Things First: Your Muse Probably Won’t Be Champion Anytime Soon
i’ll be blunt. unless your character 1) is willing to kill lotor and all of his pokémon, most of whom are sapient, 2) is willing to risk their life and the lives of all their partners in the championship battle, and 3) can also singlehandedly defeat a five-core complete forme/ragnamax zygarde that has world-ending capabilities and is comparable in power to eternamax eternatus, they don’t stand a chance. for #1 and #2, though lotor has dismantled most aspects of the fight to kill clause, he still keeps the part that says all official championship battles must be fought to the death. he does this as a deterrent to challengers--and he is not afraid to slaughter his opponents in their moments of hesitance should they express any reluctance to kill. and while he doesn’t own ragnamax zygarde, he has definitely single-handedly defeated it, as it’s how he became champion in the first place.
i want to make it clear that this doesn’t mean he’s unbeatable in every scenario. he can still be defeated in a less high-stakes setting where he isn’t allowed to kill or cripple his opponents, or destroy everything around him in a 5-mile radius. one of his big weaknesses is that ever since his championship battle in kalos against diantha he’s gotten real rusty in traditional 6v6 style battling; this is because he has spent all his time perfecting the prussian style of battle, and because if any criminals are stupidly polite enough to do a traditional 6v6 against him, his unprincipled bitch self will just bring out his entire team to gangbeat their ass. but in an all-out campaign match where he gets to use deadly force and unleash the full apocalyptic extent of his pokémons’ power, he is not going to lose to any muse who 1) is not as fully psychologically ready to shed blood as he is, 2) is not psychologically able to handle seeing their pokémon get killed or the mere thought of their pokémon being killed, OR 3) could not also pull off what he did. that is a FACT.
i do hc that lotor stops being champion eventually, but i haven’t figured out when would be a good time for lotor to lose his spot, or even whether i’d want him to lose it rather than stepping down. there are many different possibilities that can be explored and i may make different verses for them, such as the possibility that he loses/steps down from the championship some time in the near future (5 - 10 years) when he feels that his work is done/feels the pressure is too much, or the possibility that he feels his work will take literal decades and he steps down as an old man once he is satisfied that the region has finally reformed. if you are interested in lotor’s championship spot though, please know that as of writing this, i am IFFY about any plot where a muse defeats lotor and then returns prussia to its original ways. this is because despite my love of “ow the edge,” as the creator of preuzien i do want to write a happier ending for a region whose people have seen nothing but suffering. if this does end up happening, it will have to happen in a separate verse.
Be Prepared for a Long and Potentially Traumatizing Haul
the prussian league is a thirty-six-badge-long, MULTI-YEAR ordeal. there is no way around that. i hc other leagues usually take about a year to complete. the prussian league, on the other hand, takes a MINIMUM of 4 years to finish for trainers who start their journeys in preuzien, 3.5 years for trainers who have already entered the hall of fame for a foreign league, and 2.5 years for trainers who have entered the hall of fame in more than one foreign league. for some perspective on its difficulty--lotor, the guy with the 200+ IQ who beat ragnamax zygarde and stopped ragnarök during his championship battle, STILL took multiple years to complete his league challenge. can your muse clear the league in, say, half a year or a year less than the time it normally takes? yes, but i will be selective about who gets to have that honor. please don’t be “that person” and say “well my muse is capable of doing it in less than a year”--no. they can’t. why? because i said so.
another thing to note about the prussian league is its difficulty. this is part of why it takes such a long time for any trainer to get through preuzien: your muse will not have an easy time going through it, NO MATTER WHAT. yes, even if your muse has legendaries…joke’s on them, preuzien’s entire culture is geared toward beating the shit out of legendaries, and i daresay they’re damn good at it. yes, even if your muse is “really, really strong”…everyone in preuzien is also really, really strong, and not to mention, strength in preuzien is different from strength in most of the pokémon world because historically, the prussian league has put its trainers through situations--both on and off the field--approximating WAR. again, for perspective: lotor has one of the highest IQs on planet pokéarth and literally saved the world from the previous deity champion, and preuzien still had times when it PUSHED HIM PAST HIS LIMIT. so if you state that your muse is somehow able to just breeze through every gym and the national tournament like it’s nothing, that’s something i’m going to have a real hard time believing.
as to the trauma part of this section, prussia is a much friendlier place now that lotor is champion…provided you’re not an abuser or a member of a corrupt ruling class. but if your muse is entering the league pre-lotor’s championship, when the region was still under the rule of wilhelmine von hohenzollern, your muse WILL suffer some sort of trauma. there is also no way around that. if they started in preuzien, they would have started in mandatory trainers’ school, where they would have been both physically and emotionally abused by their teachers. the only ways to avoid this abuse are to 1) be a junker’s child whose parents are the rare prussian unicorns that do not support child-beating or 2) become a total kissup to the teachers and other authority figures of the school, screwing over your fellow students to save yourself, and i doubt most peoples’ muses would want to do that. if they started outside the region and came in…they still have the below section to deal with.
Your Muse Will Lose Pokémon
this is no longer a guaranteed if your muse is joining the prussian league under lotor’s rule. but in the time of wilhelmine, under the fight to kill clause, you may be ordered to kill your opponent and their pokémon for the entertainment of the crowd. and you can’t back out from this either, because if you do, you will be publicly executed for failing to provide the audience entertainment. this aspect of the fight to kill clause is no longer in effect, but when it was, it was responsible for so many young peoples’ deaths that the region’s age dependency ratio went completely out of whack. what’s more, the fight to kill clause also states that gym leaders can choose whether they wish to kill you without warning and/or your pokémon at any point during their matches, which only adds to the danger. in a region where the league literally requires you to fight for your life, it is NEARLY INCONCEIVABLE that anyone could get through this without losing at least one of their trusted partners. there is only one person in the entire history of wilhelmine prussia who managed to go through all the gyms and the prussian national tournament without losing a single one of their pokémon (and his name, by the way, is not lotor). i am going to keep it that way.
what’s more, if the brutality of the battles don’t get to you, the lack of healthcare will. preuzien in its pre-lotor days was infamous for the shortage of both human and pokémon healthcare that plagued its system. healthcare was only guaranteed to junkers, the military, and those who are deemed “victors,” aka those who fought long and hard enough to get the government’s attention and be seen as worthy. for the rest, they have to struggle through long and potentially life-ending lines at pokémon centers and doctors’ offices, all of which come from the fact that preuzien glorifies pokémon training and militarism to the point that almost every other profession is suffering a shortage in professionals and that includes healthcare. even if we go with the fanon that nurse joys are always in abundance because they’re actually ditto spawn that can be mass-produced, preuzien would deliberately make it so that there’s a lack of healthcare so they could force people to kill each other over who gets treated. so yeah. under wilhelmine, this is a region in which losing at least one pokémon is a 99.99999% certainty.
Your Muse is More Likely to Fail than Succeed
i’m gonna be straight up right now: i won’t let more than a handful of muses succeed in winning the prussian national tournament--at least, in proportion to the rest who fail. why? because if i as preuzien’s creator let too many people have a successful run through prussia, the difficulty of the league will lose its meaning. it’s not “the hardest league in the world” if every muse and their mother is capable of receiving all 18 type specialist badges, receiving all 18 other strategic badges, and clearing all four stages of the 256-person prussian national tournament. by having too many muses being able to achieve this extraordinarily difficult feat, it cheapens the accomplishment of the few who did. i might be more lenient on this for muses that enter the league after wilhelmine is deposed, seeing as the fight to kill clause is abolished and that explains a big chunk of the prussian league’s difficulty. but even so, given the unique demands that prussian-style battling foists on its trainers, they’ll be hard pressed to rise to the challenge--especially if they were not raised like most prussian trainers are to take it on.
if you want your muse to succeed, i will be tough about this. i will play devil’s advocate and come up with every single possible way in which your muse could fail, whether psychologically or strategically. even the best strategists which basically every muse seems to be can crumble and be broken by a league specifically designed to mentally shatter its participants in order to “weed out the weak.” and even the strongest-willed people which basically every muse also seems to be may lack the particular intelligence needed to handle strategic situations that require one to think less like a trainer and more like a MILITARY COMMANDER. this applies mainly to wilhelmine’s preuzien, because her league is brutal on a scale that is unseen anywhere else in the world and what’s more, it’s not afraid to play dirty. if doing a run when lotor is champion i will be less exacting, but i still want to keep the success to failure ratio low. please don’t take it personally when i start grilling like it’s a BBQ--i just want to be realistic and a hardliner about whether your muse really has what it takes. like the officials of the prussian league itself, i want to make sure that ONLY THE BEST OF THE BEST make it through.
i will, however, say this: just because your muse fails to get to/through the prussian national tournament, doesn’t mean it’s the end for them. they could join tournaments for the badge level at which your muse stopped, or join the coordinating scene that has gained new life under lotor’s leadership. they could move on to another region and enjoy their newfound capacity to beat the shit out of almost everyone they come across, because sometimes even the people who fail in preuzien are leaps and bounds stronger than those who succeed outside it. or they could divert their efforts from trying to climb to the top, thank their lucky stars that they still have their mental health mostly intact, and start taking care of pokémon who were abused by the system. there’s still plenty to do after an unsuccessful prussian run--your character’s story will not necessarily end there, and even in prussia’s darkest days, it would not necessarily end in disaster. to sum it up, failure to complete the league is still a plot point that you may find worth exploring.
in closing, i would like to say: your muse will have it extremely rough going through prussia but honestly…the struggle is half the fun of writing it. >:3

satoshi’s Bonds, Connections, & Bro - dyns with the gods he’s met  :
houou  :     satoshi’s got a Bond(tm) with it, it being the first god he saw & it continuing to reappear in his life throughout his journey, like before his setting off to hoenn & when he decided to start from zero & received a rainbow feather & eventually ended up battling it  ;     he thinks of it as kind of a background presence that he trusts to keep watch of him, even if it’s nowhere near where he actually is, like in spirit kinda   ( except it really is Always keeping watch of him, especially when he’s in mortal danger, as it did with reviving him through the pokemon’s tears after he got caught in the literal crossfire of mew & mewtwo’s battle ) .
mewtwo  :     president of the mewtwo protection squad, the pokemon’s gone through so much that it doesn’t deserve & satoshi just wants it to be happy & be able to trust people  ;     absolutely no hard feelings for it trying to kill him, most gods have.
the orange archipelago bird gods  :     can i get a waffle ??? can i PLEASE get a waffle ???????     never meant to get caught up in their situation but can’t really resent them for it as they weren’t the ones entirely at fault.
lugia  :     they saved the world together & had half a battle the next time they ran into each other, lugia gave him a ride along w/ go, & satoshi had a Moment with it, where their auras resonated & satoshi exclusively heard lugia’s voice, unlike the first time when everyone could hear it  ;     they vibe.
celebi  :     considers the first one he met to be a friend to this day, he & young ookido bonded with it & satoshi grew incredibly attached & was absolutely heartbroken when he thought it would die, seeing it fly off to join the other celebi feeling bittersweet  ;     he didn’t get to develop much of a friendship with the second celebi he met, but any time he remembers it hopes it’s doing okay, wondering if it’s friends with the aforementioned celebi.
latias  :     he really bonded with it in the short time they spent together &, as with the johto celebi, still considers it a friend.
latios  :     while he didn’t share the same closeness with latios, he was still devastated when, as far as anyone present was aware, it died saving alto mare, so you can imagine the shock when he saw tobias at the sinnoh league with a latios on his team  ;     priorities shifted thinking too hard about it to the very bottom of the list & he only got to thinking about it one night about a month later, after which he contacted tobias as soon as he could to have an exchange that essentially went “was that latios with you” “yeah” “i thought it was dead” “long story, it’s better now” “cool” .
mew  :     thinks of it kind of like you’d think of an overly curious kitten that you occasionally see running around your neighborhood stealing trinkets & snacks & sniffing like, everything  ;     he thinks it’s sweet & fun & has literally risked his life for it & wouldn’t hesitate to do it again, but he does feel like it’s maybe a little naive & doesn’t realize some things have serious consequences, which gives him slight worry that, if it weren’t as powerful as it is, it could end up in some serious trouble   ( & because of that he has mixed feelings about go wanting to catch mew  ;     not only because he Knows it & has Gone Thru Some Things with it, but also because he knows it’s childishly innocent & naive ) .
darkrai  :     thinks very highly of it in terms of strong pokemon, which satoshi always vibes with, & is appreciative of its efforts in defending alamos town.
agnome  :     shares a Connection(tm) with it through their Wills  ;     though they separated after the galaxy gang was disbanded, that connection still remains in the background, not enough to tie them together as before, but enough that if he thinks about it enough, he can still feel that connection.
dialga & palkia  :     can i get a waffle ??? can i PLE ---     satoshi wanting pokemon to stop having destructive fights that endanger civilians that didn’t ask to be a part of their crossfire aside   ...   he wholeheartedly believes they deserve better & was very pissed on their behalves when the galaxy gang wanted to abuse their power & is thankful to them for their assistance when arceus came to michina, & even more so to dialga for sending him & the others back in time to help fix things.
giratina  :     sympathizes with it &, despite how things started out with it, really does hope it can be at peace in its dimension.
shaymin  :     despite their highly rocky start, satoshi grew really attached to shaymin & it broke his heart to have to part with it so soon after he finally started liking it  ;     he respects the rascal & hopes it’s doing okay with the other shaymin.
arceus  :     as with giratina, sympathizes with it, & hopes that the past can be forgiven for the sake of the future & that it doesn’t let human error ever create such a rift between it & humanity again.
victini  :     became incredibly attached to it, especially with their resonating auras allowing satoshi to see into victini’s past & feel its emotions, & was devastated & heartbroken when he thought he’d failed to save it despite promising to take victini to see the sea one day  ;     he was overjoyed to see it alive & well &, even if their parting was bittersweet for satoshi, he hopes it’s doing okay & has a reminder stashed away somewhere to visit it if he ever passes through that part of unova again.
zekrom  :     he’s zekrom approved, sharing a similar connection(tm) as with agnome, only through conceptual Ideals  ;     the connection never truly passed into a tangible area, but satoshi felt it nonetheless when he first arrived in unova, believing that, if they were to properly meet, he’d feel that connection again, much stronger.
keldeo  :     shares a Bond(tm) with it, growing attached & protective of it very early on, feeling a duty to help it face its fears in order to save the other sacred swordsmen, that protectiveness winning out against said duty when he saw just how terrified keldeo was  ;     he feels nothing less than pride in its overcoming its fear & becoming proper sacred swordsman material.
meloetta  :     grew very attached in the time they spent together, admiring both its voice & its strength, feeling anger not unlike one he would with his own pokemon at it being captured to abuse its power.
hoopa  :     he cares for that rascal so, so much, he wholeheartedly wants nothing but the best for it & hopes it never has to go through something like what had been happening for like a century ever again.
volcanion  :     he still has some strong opinions about it, but it’s grown on him, & the knowledge that volcanion truly cares about the other pokemon & wants to protect those that can’t defend themselves just as much as he does makes putting up with it much easier  ;     he hopes that it continues to be able to protect the pokemon in that valley & to keep an eye out for magearna..
zygarde  :     while he didn’t get quite as close to squishy as eureka, he still considers it to have been as much part of the squad as any of the other pokemon, holding it high regard as zygarde.
kapu - kokeko  :     has a Bond(tm) with it, it having taken interest in him & giving him a z - ring & a temporary electric z to go with it & luring him into the woods to battle  ;     it kept a curious eye on him &, in a time of urgency for another universe, sent him over to assist, be it to test him or trusting already that satoshi would be able to handle it  ;     the majority of satoshi’s time training in the alola region was building up to getting to battle kapu - kokeko on equal footing, & eventually winning when it came to ultimate z - move vs ultimate z - move.
kapu - tetefu, kapu - bulul, kapu - rehire  :     though he didn’t make as strong a connection with the other island guardians, he still feels thankful for all that they have done in helping him progress in both training & in times of need.
solgaleo  :     needless to say, he very much thinks of it as one of his own, like the pokemon that he watched hatch & took care of as they treated him like a parent ;     even after evolving into a solgaleo, satoshi can’t help but think of it as that tiny hoshigumo - chan that was entrusted to him by the other solgaleo & the lunala so seemingly long ago.

Tumblr media
‖ ♥︎ 》 Oh shit, it’s that time of the whatever again, where I throw some vagueish worldbuilding that –24 people care about at y’all.
Tumblr media
‖ ♥︎ 》 So like, y’know how most legendary Pokémon are pretty much treated like gods or god-like entities? Well, in Ashura’s verse, there’s a very distinct line between who’s a god, who’s a subordinate of a god (a demigod, if you will), and who’s just some putz with a lot of power that humans treat like a god for some fucking reason. I made a post about it a while back (with a tier list and everything), but I wanted to go into more detail, so… Let’s GO, Readmore!
Tumblr media
‖ ♥︎ 》 In the Sinjhoverse, Arceus is still the God among Gods, the creator of everything ever, the one who banished Giratina to the “Distortion World”, etc etc. But the others have a hierarchy that goes beyond just we control elements lol. For example, Dialga is the Goddess of Time, and her power is absolute – You could have the most powerful time-based magic known to man in your control, and not only would it have no effect on Dialga, she could nullify or even take it away from you without even batting an eye. Celebi, on the other hand, may have access to time travel and appear to control time itself, but they serve under Dialga and as such their time abilities aren’t as strong. A lot of the legendaries are grouped off like this in a sort of boss-subordinate relationship – Palkia and Deoxys, Groudon and Regigigas, Kyogre and Lugia, Rayquaza and Ho-oh, to name a few – and it helps (for me, at least) make the lore I’ve pulled from Pokémon make sense in the more Disgaeaish context I’ve given them.
Tumblr media
‖ ♥︎ 》 Legendary-God trios have a dynamic that’s a bit different, and can vary between the groups in question. Take Groudon, Kyogre, snd Rayquaza, for instance — the three embody the balance between land, sea, and sky (and really, nature itself), and if - Groudon and Kyogre - two of them ever fight for dominance, - Rayquaza - the third ends up as a sort of mediator to tell them to cut the shit before they ruin everything. Then there’s Xerneas and Yveltal, whose power sort of feeds into a cycle that powers them both (life, death, reincarnation, etc. etc.), but Zygarde isn’t part of the cycle or a mediator – it’s the keeper of the cycle’s balance itself, and would be there to kick the shit out of either/both of the two if they were to step too far out of line.
Tumblr media
‖ ♥︎ 》 Speaking of out of line, let’s talk about the Ultra Beasts. They’re by no means gods, but definitely wield power comparable to some. Their “pocket” realms exist between the three “main” realms (Celestia, Sinjho, and the human world), and they don’t really interfere with much. They do, however, assist in keeping the space between the realms — their space — intact and always separating the main realms. They cooperate with Palkia for the most part and make his work easier, but only do so because they benefit. They also can’t handle being forced from their domains – something about portals to and from other realms that they don’t open themselves makes them go a little berserk^.
Tumblr media
‖ ♥︎ 》 The next logical way to go would be to Solgaleo and Lunala, I guess, so. The games’ lore describing them varies based on which Pokédex you’re reading – One says they embody the sun and moon, another says they’re emissaries of the sun and moon – but never state outright that they’re gods. So in Sinjhoverse, they’re former gods who demoted themselves to a lesser status - because they were tired of the constant in-fighting between certain other gods - and now serve as actual emissaries between the gods and the Ultra Beasts. Kind of a stretch, yeah, but it works.
Tumblr media
‖ ♥︎ 》 And that’s about it for the actual God-tier legendary Pokémon in this verse. I know there are like a billion more, but this post has to end somewhere, and I wanted to outline this stuff - for myself - just in case someone’s actually interested in the bullshit I’ve made up. Feel free to send an ask if you wanna know more or about a specific Legendary.

One-shot: “Wait a minute. Are you jealous?”
Requested by @modeststroke
After winning the Kalos league, Mairin challenges the Elite Four and gets an interesting job offer. But what does she do about it? It seems that when one door closes, another opens.
A/N: One change to my HC is that Alain and Mairin are not in a relationship yet, even though in my earlier fics they have gotten together before the league. Mairin is 17 and Alain 22. Also, this was supposed to be a short drabble about jealousy, but hmm, it became something else (even though there is some jealousy in it too). Also, I hope none of my readers are Siebold fans because he is quite disgusting in this fic.
“So today is the big day. How do you feel about it?” the almost graduated Pokémon Doctor student Alain asked his best friend, who was getting ready to challenge the Elite Four of Kalos that day. Mairin had won the Kalos league a couple of weeks prior, and she had spent the time between her victory and the Elite Four challenge training hard with the Pokémon she planned to use in the big battles. Chespie the Chesnaught, Bébé the Florges, Bailey the Bayleef, Leafy the Leafeon, and the rest of her team were now as ready as they could be to challenge the four tough opponents before she could take on the champion.
The Kalos Champion had changed a year earlier, and even though she was very young and not allowed to participate in the decision-making in Kalos yet, her Zygarde and Dedenne were pretty much unbeatable these days. But Mairin didn’t let that worry her, because she knew she could do it if she just believed in her Pokémon. Her self-confidence was at a whole new level these days, and Alain was partially to thank for that.
“Oh, I’m feeling just fine. Of course I’m a bit nervous, but who wouldn’t be? I’m facing the five toughest opponents of Kalos today,” the girl replied to her friend’s question. In that moment, she realized that it was actually happening, and a weight fell on her stomach, but she didn’t let it show.
The first two battles were easy for Mairin. Drasna’s dragons had no chance against Florges’ Moonblast and Chespie’s Dragon Claw, and Siebold’s Water Type Pokémon struggled against Mairin’s Grass types. Alain, who was watching in the stands, was not happy about the way the handsome chef stared at the girl intensely when she walked to shake his hand after the battle, and… was Alain just imagining or was the man’s gaze located a bit too low…? He blinked, and this time he was sure he was not imagining it. How disgusting is that guy, Alain thought in his mind, and made a mental note to tell Bonnie to stop her subordinate from treating women like that. Bonnie might have been young, but she did have everyone’s respect.
Next up was Wikstrom and his steel type Pokémon, and it was a much more even battle than the previous ones. Mairin was down to her fifth Pokémon until she finally beat him. After the battle a blonde girl with Dedenne still in her bag, just like many years earlier, approached her and said:
“Mairin! It’s so good to see you again! You and your Pokémon were battling really hard. One more win, and you’ll get to challenge me, right?”
“Right,” Mairin answered with an unsure voice. She had been confident during her earlier battles, but seeing the champion herself, even if she was a friend, did make her nervous again.
“Listen… I’ve been watching you here and at the Kalos league, and I can tell that you’ve developed so much since you started your journey. In fact, I have a suggestion about which I’d like to talk at Wikstrom’s retirement dinner tonight. I’m sure he wouldn’t mind at all if you joined us! Actually, bring that Alain of yours too, I’m sure it would do good for him to get out of his office.”
Mairin’s face turned red at her words, and she looked around to see if Alain was anywhere to be seen, but luckily for her, he wasn’t. Mairin had been trying to hide her feelings towards him, but apparently she wasn’t doing a very good job since Bonnie already knew about it.
“O-ok. I’ll talk to him!” Mairin stuttered her answer. She was getting really nervous. To this point it hadn’t truly occurred to her that if she won, she could have the highest position of them all in the Kalos region. But was she ready for such a huge responsibility? Alain had decided to not take on the Elite Four, and clearly that was working just fine for him. But what did she want to do? She would have wanted to talk about that with Alain, but he had disappeared somewhere.
Finally, it was time for Mairin’s last Elite Four battle, and her opponent was the new fire type specialist, Mira. Malva, the previous holder of the title, had decided to retire after Bonnie became the champion, and Mira was still a relatively inexperienced in her job, but Mairin was still expecting a difficult battle. She started strong, defeating two of Mira’s Pokémon with Chespie, but then he got a direct hit from a Fire Blast and was unable to continue the battle. Mairin’s Leafeon couldn’t handle Pyroar’s Flamethrower that was strengthened with Charcoal, but after that her Venusaur managed to defeat the Royal Pokémon, and the battle kept going until both trainers were down to one Pokémon. Mira’s Talonflame almost hit Mairin’s Sceptile, who was already badly damaged, but miraculously he managed to dodge, and hit the Talonflame with one last Dragon Claw. The battle was over.
After running to check if Sceptile was all right, and to thank him, Mairin took a look at the stands, and was relieved to see that Alain was there. He had a small smile on his face, and he was clapping with the rest of the audience. Without even thinking, the girl run to greet him, and hugged him forcefully. Alain patted her head awkwardly, and when she finally pulled off, she said, referring to the times they had been traveling together:
“I can’t believe I’ve made it so far! It’s all thanks to you.”
“Give yourself some credit. I or my Pokémon weren’t battling there, you were.”
She just smiled at him brightly, and the smile made Alain’s heart jump restlessly. He knew he would have to talk to her sooner rather than later, but now was not the time, because she still had one important battle to focus on. What he wouldn’t tell her, however, was that during Mairin’s third battle, he had run into Malva, who had been there to see her friend and colleague Wikstrom’s final battle before his retirement. She had asked in her own teasing style if Alain thought his girlfriend would win this whole thing, and how he’d feel about being the champion’s boyfriend. Alain had answered that she was not his girlfriend, and it was none of Malva’s business anyway. Malva had only smiled and whispered something about seeing how they looked at each other before leaving him alone.
Returning back to this moment, Alain realized Mairin had asked him something he hadn’t heard, because he was so caught up in his own thoughts. He asked her to repeat, and she said:
“Bonnie invited me to a dinner tonight. Apparently it’s for Wikstrom or something. Will you come with me? I only know Bonnie there, and honestly, all those famous people make me nervous…”
“Huh? Why did she want to invite you?”
“She didn’t tell. She just said she’d talk to me later.”
“Sounds weird. Do you have to go there?”
“I already said yes… Alain, please… this one time.”
“Ok, fine. This one time. But shouldn’t you be already healing your Pokémon for the final battle?”
“Oh. I guess you are right.” Mairin checked her clock, and noticed that she only had 15 minutes before the final battle, and she still needed to give the revives and potions to her beat up team. Before she left, she quickly squeezed Alain’s hand, but Alain took a firmer hold of hers before she could let go, and did something he hadn’t done before: kissed her on the cheek. After that he whispered: “good luck”. Mairin gave him a confused look, but then managed to send him her final smile before disappearing into the locker room.
Mairin hadn’t had time to talk about her worries regarding the champion’s job before the battle, but it didn’t matter anymore. Bonnie had only lost her Dedenne, while Zygarde (whom she still called Squishy, and Mairin felt it was the most inappropriate nickname for the 50% forme of the Dragon and Ground type legendary in front of her) kept knocking out Mairin’s Pokémon one by one. The battle was over before it had even properly started, and Mairin sighed, partly frustrated, partly relieved, when she called her final Pokémon Chespie back into his Pokéball.
“Don’t be ashamed,” Bonnie comforted her when she approached her to thank her for a good battle. “Most of my challengers can’t even take Dedenne out, but you did. I know it’s a bit unfair to use Squishy, but he just really wants to battle! Anyway, will I see you tonight?” she wanted a confirmation.
“Yes. Alain will come too.”
“Ah, that’s great! I’m looking forward to it!”
In the evening Alain and Mairin arrived to the restaurant Le Yeah where the dinner party for Elite Four Wikstrom was supposed to take place. They were dressed up quite formally for the occasion; Mairin was wearing a green knee-length dress and a silky scarf, and Alain a white blouse and black pants. Their seats were near the current Elite Four’s, and to Alain’s annoyance the water type master Siebold sat right next to Mairin.
“So… I heard you gave the Champion a good battle…” the blonde man started.
“Not really,” Mairin blushed. “I took down just one of her Pokémon.”
“Well, that’s as far as anyone has gotten. Believe me, I have tried… But she has the protector of Kalos on her side.” Siebold sighed. Mairin looked at him sympathetically.
“Maybe one day! Bonnie is my friend, but I know that even she is going to lose at some point. Or then she’s gonna get bored and tries something else.” Mairin smiled a bit at the thought of Bonnie trying different kinds of careers.
“Are you guys talking about me behind my back?”
Siebold, Mairin and Alain turned to see Bonnie, who had put her hands on her hips and was playfully pouting at the group. “Mairin, I haven’t even announced the news and you have already turned against me. I thought you were better than that.”
“Sorry, Bonnie! You know I didn’t mean it like that. I’m sure you are going to do just fine when you become the official champion!* But would you care to tell us what that piece of news is?”
“Fine. As you know, as of tomorrow we have one empty spot for a new member of Elite Four. And someone needs to take that position. I wanted to wait until this moment, because there of course was a chance that you might have become the champion instead, but now that I’ve seen all your battles, I’m convinced, that you, Mairin, would be an excellent addition to our team. You even are a specialist of a certain type, which is something we usually want from our Elite Four members. I have already talked with Diantha and she said she would start the paper work immediately. That is, of course, if you want to join our team.”
Mairin looked at Alain in wonder, and she asked if they could talk about this in private for a moment. Soon they found an empty room, and she asked:
“You know I respect your opinion a lot… So, what do you think? Should I do it?”
“It would be good for your development, and you’d of course get paid well too. But it means a lot of responsibility, also outside battle fields. What about your dream of following your grandfather’s footsteps? Would you be OK with not doing it?”
“You are right. Ramos doesn’t currently have other candidates to be his successor. He is going to retire soon…”
After a small break she continued: “You know what? I’m not going to do this. When I battled against those strong trainers, I realized that even though my skills are enough to beat them, I am not ready. There are still so many things I can learn outside the league. And I will still have a lot of time to join the Elite Four in the future.”
“I think that sounds like a good decision,” Alain said supportively, and Mairin was grateful for that. She knew he could trust Alain to support her no matter what she decided to do.
They returned to their table, and Mairin announced her decision to everyone. She told them she was thankful for the offer, but couldn’t take it right now, because there were other things she wanted to experience before committing to a such a responsible job. Bonnie looked disappointed, but was also understanding. They did have other options for the replacement, so Mairin’s decision didn’t really change anything.
The evening continued, and Mairin (after making the relieving decision) chatted cheerfully with everyone close to her. However, when the older people started moving to the bar of the restaurant, she, Alain and Siebold stayed at their table. At first the talk was about nothing special, but after Alain informed them that he’d go to the bathroom, and left the two others alone, Siebold got way too close to Mairin. She smelled from his breath that he too had visited the bar at some point when she hadn’t been paying attention. He set one of his hands on her leg, and asked:
“You are interested in grass type Pokemon, right? I have some at my home, and I was wondering if you’d want to see them…”
Mairin didn’t have any time to answer his question when she saw the murderous eyes of Alain staring at them.
“Mairin. We are going back to Sycamore’s. Now.”
“Wait, what? He was just going to introduce me to… Wait a minute…” she thought she had understood his issue. “Are you jealous?”
“NO, Mairin! You are too naïve to understand… he is not going to show you any of his Pokémon! He’s disgusting, and has been looking at your… chest… the entire evening! And you!” he turned to Siebold. “What the Mew do you think you are doing with a girl who is still underage and at least 15 years younger than you?!”
“Why do you care so much?” Siebold asked him angrily.
“Why? Because it’s a decent thing to do. And because…” suddenly he pulled Mairin from her chair, wrapped his arms around her, and kissed her straight on the mouth. At first Mairin didn’t know how to react, but she eventually answered to the kiss, not believing that the thing she had secretly dreamed of was actually happening. The kiss was light and sweet, and it felt right, and the couple was quite annoyed when Bonnie arrived and squealed of happiness: “Are you two finally an item?”
Alain and Mairin seemed to communicate with each other with their eyes, and they eventually nodded.
“I swear, I would have done something soon if you hadn’t realized… But I’m so glad you did!” Bonnie exclaimed and hugged her friends.
“She’s awfully smart for a 14-year-old, you know…” Alain whispered when Bonnie finally went to talk with someone else. Siebold had also disappeared somewhere, and Alain thought he’d talk with Bonnie about the behavior of her subordinate next morning.
“I know. But I’m glad we got this thing straight. I like you a lot, Alain.” Mairin answered, avoiding using the word ‘love’ because she knew Alain enough to know that he might not be ready to hear that quite yet.
“You are not too bad yourself,” he replied.
After a quick kiss, she added, “One more thing, though. Did you really think I’d go with Siebold?
That started bickering that continued until the couple arrived to Sycamore’s lab, where they had to get quiet because everyone was sleeping already. But by the time they got into their bedroom (that they had been sharing because they had noticed that sleeping next to each other kept their nightmares away), they had already forgotten what they had been arguing about, and both slept contently that night.
(*Until Bonnie becomes of age and gets her education, Diantha is the leader of the Kalos government. I HC that the champions also hold the legislative power in their regions)

I’m really looking forward to how it’ll be resolved.
What’s interesting is that the premise of the episode was similar to XY029: HQ's call, the boss impressed with their initial progress (although not overjoyed) and Team Rocket nearly getting Pikachu. The huge difference is that the scene came sooner, they tried to capture Pokemon (not just Pikachu) and both Sakaki and TRio seem like they actually do give a shit and exist in the same continuum and space.
XY scene was promising because they explicitly stated they’ll be in touch and show him even more good news. But as we know today, XY was full of crap and they weren’t really going to break the status quo of the pre-BW past (still no idea how XY107 came to be ---> most likely due to Zygarde plot and new song). So they just dropped it and Sakaki was all like “you only captured two pokemon, oh that’s fine” and “oh right, powerful Zygarde, I was sure you can handle it on your own but then I forgot”, apparently.
There is only the question do they have the guts to resolve the matter of progress and pokemon differently than just drop it (in order to make them keep their job and position). But what’s notable, SM got Matori to schedule things up and force them to check-in if she must: so who knows, maybe it'll actually lead to something!

here’s my list of hopes for the ultra games, newly updated to show how i was completely and utterly crushed
-lake of the sunne/moone to have more plot significance it has necrozma’s symbol on it for crying out loud
thanks nintendo. not
-more screen time for gladion
better cross this the fuck out
-more interactions with lillie and gladion (and hau ofc)
ok, they did add a few more interactions with hau, but not much, really
-dirt on the thrifty megamart
have yet to check, but sounds like there might be something
-mohn to have more plot significance. come on man, stop eating beans and get back to aether your wife is terrorizing the world with aliens again
those fuckers
-that pikachu-themed trailer better be part of the plot bc i’m gonna be mad if they showed it to us only for it to be off on some side road that you could very easily miss
absolutely not
-more exploration of ultra space. i wanna hatch an egg there.
finally, something on this list was right
-more dimensional/time travel shenanigans side-eyes the lake
kinda?
-plot twists. give me my frickin plot twists. i want mystery dungeon-level plot twists.
severely lacking in my good plot twists, people
-solidified info as to what exactly made lusamine go bonkers and how she was before that
hate how they handled parts of her character. i mean, i can’t deny how it’s interesting, but that’s a rant for another post
-why space man was stuck in the desert. how did he get there. why did he forget everything. where did he go.
haven’t found him yet, but also haven’t heard anything about it...
-what tf necrozma is. pseudo-ultra beast? legendary? a really weird-looking deoxys?
well, yeah, i’d say they answered that one
-team skull backstories
guzma got a tiny bit of something, but other than that, a very solid no
-a valid reason as to why zygarde took its ground-dragon booty all the way across the ocean to alola and scattered itself into 100 frickin parts
haven’t done this yet
-red, blue, and green to make more cameos. especially green. she got robbed of any appearance in sun and moon (i guess it would be blue in japanese versions)
dunno quite yet, but it’s looking grim
-more! info! on! kahili!
cross this the fuck out so far, she didn’t even get named when she showed me how to use flyingium z
-more tapu action
eh
-nintendo plz let me give my character a plain ol’ ponytail. plz
nooooope
-while i’m on the subject of hairstyles boys should get more of them. they have nothing compared to the girl hairstyles.
i’ve seen, like, one or two new ones
-do not make a child go hunt the ultra beasts on their own. interpol, wat r u doin?
i miss them. they were denied a chance at redemption in my eyes
-if you gotta make the child go hunt the ultra beasts at least give them a team of people who know what tf they’re doing is that too much to ask
hellllll nah
-if your pokemon can walk with you i will probably throw all of my money a whole two cents at nintendo the movement sprites already exist come on
goddamn
ya know what? i’m just gonna make a list of the stuff i want in ultra sun and ultra moon. it’s long, but whatever. all important. all of it.

Review Response, Destiny #034, Legacy #001
Since it's been a week since the Legacy update and two weeks since Destiny update, neither of which has gotten 10 reviews, and I doubt that they'd ever reach 10, it's time to combine 'em together and respond to all of them.
Destiny
1) Poor Y! Yveltal is just beating the dead horse…girl actually.
Yep. Poor old horse-girl.
2) So Diamond,Red, Platinum and Emerald are either dying or badly injured White somehow has managed to be the least injured of the junior trio Ruby and Sapphire are fighting again Y has been resurrected twice now but cannot control her body but instead she just moans at everything because once all her flesh has been stripped then I can't imagine that most people would recognize her thus maybe leading some pokedex holders (Ruby and Sapphire) to kill her without actually realizing that they killed a junior until maybe much later after they get out of the mind control (or don't whatever)
White has somehow managed to be the least injured... ... wow. I did not think of that. Time to... change that?
3) I love this story more than I love my family thank you for updating it
... Er... um... ... Um... No prob?
4) Man. That part with Y was pretty gross. I feel really sorry for her. She just wants to find some peace and have the nightmare end, but she keeps being tortured into resurrection. It kind of makes me wonder what else you have in store for her since her conflict with X has...at least I think it has...been resolved. So the other dex holders finally figured out what happened to Ruby and Sapphire. I wonder what they're going to do to handle it.
The conflict with X may have ended, but the pairing itself still needs a few more scenes.
5) I'm happy to see this updated again. I really wish I had any constructive criticism, but all I can say is that I'm excited to see what happens next. Like, I need to reread this story.
Apologies for taking half of a year to update.
6) Blue's such a bitch lmao girl you didn't do shit you really don't have the right to criticize Green's plans. Also Y just... go away. I know she not technically alive but. I'm so sick of her.
To each their own. Also, I figured this would happen in regards to Y. I still stand by my decision, since I know what I'm going to do with Y in the very near future.
7) Best battle scene youve written in a while
THE very best battle scene in a while... since this is the only battle scene in a long while. The best, by default! ... Also the worst. By default.
8) The Destiny chapter is finally up! It looks like the Mega Hunter is very close to being defeated, but like ... How will the dex holders deal with Zygarde? And what if it's 100% Zygarde? And isn't 100% Zygarde supposedly like an equalizer of the environment, so will it help stop the primal Groudon and Kyogre? It kinda makes sense. I love what you've done with Y, and how realistic her resurrection is. Only her head can move, her clothes and shoes tend to slide off, and she can't even close her jaw, because she doesn't have the muscles to. Looking forward to the dexholder's next battles, and the next dexholder deaths.
The next death should be occurring within one or two chapters. Probably.
9) AMAZINGGGG! That entire battle was incredible! Very well written. Blue is without a doubt my favorite one in this story. I liked how we were seeing a good amount of the battle from platinum's point of view too. She is always strategic with her moves. I really liked how she performed here, and BAM gets exploded! Love it! Added the shock value to it. I am so ready for the next chapter.
Good old Explosion. No one sees it coming. And I figured, Mega Steelix had to explode, which would result in more than one single blast as all of its individual sections would explode, thus bypassing Platinum's Hardened Shields.
Legacy
1) It's too bad your updates are so spread out, but the quality makes up for it more than enough, least it does for me
Thank you. I'm hoping that the updates won't be so spread out anymore.
2) Y is hands down the best Dexholder.
Indeed.
3) You might as well of written "Y is great. Platinum is great" 1000 times in a word document then published it. Also why is everyone except Black such an asshole?
Clearly you missed the first half of the chapter. Well done.
4) So I guess that they might try to capture Platinum for ransom?
Heh. "Not again!"
5) Heh. Black is left way behind as the last priority to any of the dex holders. Poor guy, but it is funny. I feel bad for Blue, though. She wants to get close to Red bur fears rejection too much. Maybe once she sees Red's interactions with Y and Platinum, it will boost her confidence.
Oh ho, Blue will FEAR confessing. ... It'll probably be brought up next chapter.
6) "We can kidnap someone and demand ransom..." Why do I feel like Platinum's gonna get kidnapped AGAIN. At least she'll be able to bust herself out this time. And I like how Blue's such a respectful house-mate. Unlike your previous house-mate. I am really feeling for Black. It can't feel good to be below your junior, and a Pokemon. I am really hoping Black can at least tie with Y, but with her three dragons, that's probably not going to happen. Also, another reason Y got the badges so fast, were because theKalos gyms are sooo Easy. Looking forward to the next update!
... Do not remind me of the freaking roommate. I STILL have to deal with all the phonecalls coming in that's meant for him. The bastard left MY cellphone number for his stuff.
I actually don't remember the Kalos Gyms at all. So... that's why Y's entire Kalos Gym challenge was done in the background between the prologue and the actual main story.
7) Heh what a transition from Destiny's latest chapter to this one. Reminds me of going from SA to SL lol anyways interesting how black is... Maybe a little to angsty? If he's going to be like this then he will easily be my least favorite in this story. I mean... He's acting worse than Satoshi and Goku!
Black won't be like this for long. And hey, at least he knows enough to keep holding on White's hand. Unlike the other two.
