Porter is giving him death glares in the staff room. Tiberia doesn’t even acknowledge him whenever he’s in her line of sight. Lucilla, who is usually so kind, gives him side eyes in the hall, cuz bard classes are so gay and he’s homophobic. Jace avoids talking to him at all costs despite technically being the only person Bobby can go to for questions about the job. Henry seems more timid but even he is clearly upset at at this man’s general existence. And those are the ones who aren’t even openly hostile.

Zara only does night classes but whenever she does sees him she hisses. No one’s ever seen Terpsichore angry, but they have now. He made some of the younger queer students cry and Jawbone yells at him in full view of the student body. Corsica is so so close to beating this man up. They all miss Yolanda

You can redeem them in fanfic, guys it’s okay. The bad kids have enough npcs to drag along, it’s the whole reason most of them were taken away for junior year. They’ve redeemed so many people already, if senior year happens, they’ll most likely pop up one time and we’ll have the same outcry we did all season for Ayda. Guys pls just let these ones stay irredeemable and/or die.

This makes so much sense why Kipperlilly was asking about how Kristen made Yes! And specifically Where she made Yes! at.

Kristen made a whole new Deity through Arthur Augfort's office and school. As a powerful cleric she reached into the Astral Plane and made life out of her questioning and worship. She temporarily had access to the realm of dead gods to make something from nothing. This was all set in the making from day one.

Jace was working with Kalina and Arianwen to revive The Nightmare King and The Rage Goddess. That's what Ragh saw in front of the office after Prompocolypse. They used Kalvaxis wanting to regain his power as a bigger play to bring back their corrupted and dead deities. A chess piece in a series of steps.

While Kalina was going to bring back The Nightmare King, Jace would work on bringing back The Rage Goddess through Elmville. Kristen already proved that Augefort Academy has access to the Astral Plane. He found and targeted students susceptible to rage, took them to the Mountains of Chaos where the Divine Wedding took place and force the students to make a choice: live for Rage or stay dead.

The Rat Grinders made that choice except for Lucy. Which is a problem because the Need a Cleric. The people the Rat Grinders killed from the school have been Clerics, because with Kristen's method you need a powerful connection to a Deity and Worship to bring life to one.

Lucy worshiped a Giant Goddess, she would have been perfect but she refused.

Yolanda gave up any affiliation to a specific deity, neutral but powerful in worship. She would be a worthy vessel but she refused.

Buddy was brought to always be killed. A follower of Helio, the son of Sol who had corrupted the Goddesses in the first place. He is the grandson of a powerful Cleric, and has that same connection and power within himself. Kipperlilly didn't kill Buddy in panic, that was the plan all along: bypass Obliviti Mori by killing a cleric to meet the Rage Goddess in the Astral Plane, then revive them to spread the word and start the ritual. Buddy was just the first one to accept.

Like in Sylvaire, they are seeding Rage to make their own version of the Nightmare Forest to bring back The Rage Goddess. It's going to bloom and spread, rake over Elmville and the Augefort Academy where the Astral Connection is.

These plans have been started since Freshman Year, and have been defeated all because on goblin was just trying to find his babysitter and another halfling just couldn't handle that.

as far as we know, the rat grinders are not being possessed

the people who are possessed are still alive and are taken over by shatter stars. this is what happened in the synod fight at the mall—they were still alive and were taken over. everyone who was shatter starred also DIED permanently very quickly, such as the loams, because their blood crystalised.

none of TRGs or Jace have been shatter starred while alive. they all died and made a deal with ankarna/porter to come back to life as followers of rage. their scars are from dying, presumably killing each other with weapons (per lucy's wounds). they then chose to be reincarnated as a follower of ankarna/porter. they also still have their sanity, just more rage, which would make sense if your abilities or magic is now powered by rage.

tldr: yes, TRGs were manipulated by adults, but they MADE CHOICES to follow evil and do evil things, they are not possessed. They MADE CHOICES, brennan and ally EXPLICITLY state that.

I'll honestly never get over the fact that TMI spent 6+ books building up the central theme that your parents/origins don't define you, that having demon blood doesn't make one inherently evil & all creatures are worthy of dignity & respect regardless of their strange appearances/mannerisms, just to completely undermine all of that by making one of the main antagonists evil because he has demon blood -_-

I know everyone’s back on the ‘Ratgrinders Evil’ train after it was revealed that Lucy was killed by multiple assailants while reviving the rats she and her friends had killed, but how is no one talking about Jace Stardiamond!!! He’s the one that Yolanda Badgood said she was going to go to straight after she talked to Kristen, he’s the one with constant access to Grix, AND he was seen talking with Arianwen and Kalina after the battle at Prom freshman year. Plus he’s got ALL free time, he was never really a teacher, since sorcery is innate. Obv he needs to appear more for his his evilness to have any weight at all if he is a villain, so we’ll see how relevant he is, but I just think he’s REAL suspicious right now. Plus we know by the previews that Cass comes back by the penultimate episode, so we’ll see pretty soon I guess.
