Humanitarian Appeal for My Family in Gaza

Mientras mi familia luchaba por sobrevivir en el norte de Gaza bajo un asedio y bombardeos incesantes, se vieron obligados a huir hacia el sur en busca de seguridad. Ahora, después de meses de devastación, están regresando al norte y no encuentran nada más que ruinas. No tienen un hogar donde refugiarse, ni alimentos para aliviar su hambre, ni medicamentos para aliviar su sufrimiento.

This is a tragedy unseen by the world, where darkness, hunger, and disease prevail, and life becomes nothing more than a desperate attempt to survive.

I am launching this campaign to support my family in this unbearable crisis, and I urge you to help in any way you can. Every donation can be a lifeline for them. Do not let their voices fade into the darkness they need us now more than ever.

Ah, man! I used to love new jack swing growing up. I remember just the culture itself was just so BLACK. It’s not like how it is today where pretty much everyone (including non-Blacks) dresses alike and pretty much speaks the same lingo, nah, we did our own thing. Whatever was going on in the mainstream culture, Black people were doing the polar opposite. The way we talked, the way we styled our clothes, our hairstyles, the music, how we danced! It was like being in an exclusive club. I remember white folks were just …corny, everything they did was so wonder bread and straight edge. But Black boys wanted be different, so they used rock gumbies or wear their hat to the back and sport a lot of gold. Girls used get the steps in their hair and wear them big ole door knocker earrings, omg … it was Black af! 🙌🏿

I saw this clip tonight, and I was transported to my senior year of high school. I lip-synced and danced to "Every Little Step" by Bobby Brown for our Christmas talent show in front of my entire school. I wore a tank top, suspenders, spandex shorts, and a hat. I surprised everyone and tied for 1st place! 😆
