The world begins a new year, full of dreams and hopes, exchanging greetings and smiles. Meanwhile, our people in Gaza enter it burdened with tears and wounds.

How can a new year bring anything good to those who spent the past year under bombardment, hunger, and fear? How does a new year begin while the bodies of children shiver from the cold, the faces of mothers are exhausted from weeping, and fathers bow their heads before their families, unable to provide even a piece of bread or a blanket to shield them from the bitter night chill?

In Gaza, the new year does not signify change or a fresh beginning. It is an extension of pain, another page in the book of tragedy that has been open for decades. There are no celebrations here, no lights hung, no decorated trees, only darkness suffocating the breath. Mothers bury their children with tears, and souls leave this world in silence, unnoticed by anyone.

What kind of world begins its year with joy while ignoring an entire people being annihilated under the rubble? What conscience allows a new year to begin while Gaza drowns in blood, hunger, and cold?

How long will we carry this burden alone? How much longer will Gaza’s children hold blankets instead of toys, searching for a piece of bread instead of a gift? Stop this war. Stop this oppression. These are souls, they are human beings, they are a people crying out every day: We, too, deserve life.

It is Christmas week or more accurately, it is the holiday season. Almost all around the world, there are going to be fesitivities: gift giving and then fireworks to welcome the new year. However things are not really the same in Gaza- for instead of fireworks, there would be bombs lightning up the sky. I just want to say that, this is not the time to give up. This is not the time to be exhausted. Please keep organizing, keep protesting and keep boycotting. And of course in the spirit of Christmas, in this festive season, consider donating to @ahmedpalestine . There hasn't been any donation for the last 5 days! So please try and let this week bring some relief to the family. This fundraiser has been shared around since August and it is still only at 12.3k at the moment. I want to share with you the story of a remarkable father who dedicated his entire life to building a better future for his family.

After my family was forcibly displaced from northern Gaza and our home was destroyed a home my father spent his entire life building we lost everything. My father’s story is one of resilience and sacrifice.

He grew up as an orphan, losing his father at a very young age. Despite this, he worked tirelessly to put himself through university, balancing his studies while working at a restaurant to pay his tuition. His hard work paid off, and he eventually became a school principal.

Through his dedication, he managed to buy a small piece of land and build our dream home. He provided for us, ensuring we never went without. But then the war came, and in an instant, everything he built was gone.

Now, my family lives in a fabric tent on a cold street. Can you imagine the heartbreak my father feels? The weight of the suffering my family endures in the freezing winter? They don’t deserve this pain or this harsh life.

Please, help me stand by my father the man who fought so hard to give us a better life. Help me bring my family out of this dark tent and into a safe place. This is my only dream in life.

One hand alone cannot clap. Please, join hands with me to make this dream a reality. Together, we can bring hope back to my family.

In the Heart of Suffering: My Family in Gaza.

My family, consisting of 12 people, including 6 children, is living in torn tents that offer no protection against the harsh winter or heavy rain. Water seeps into the tents from all directions, and the cold bites at the children’s fragile bodies as they bathe in freezing water not by choice, but because there is no alternative.

When one of them falls ill, they suffer silently because medicine is unavailable. Even basic winter clothing is beyond reach they left everything behind when they fled from northern Gaza to escape relentless bombing. Every day, they carry water in buckets and struggle to find food amidst skyrocketing prices, while constant shelling, hunger, and fear surround them on all sides.

Help my family survive this hell. Donate if you can, or share their story so it reaches someone who can help. And if you can’t, keep them in your prayers and thoughts. Your words and actions might be the light that brightens their darkest days.

My name is Ahmed Khader, a 29-year-old from Gaza, now living in Belgium. I left in 2019 to build a better life and support my family, but they remain trapped in Gaza, facing constant bombings and danger. while i am very scared for my american friends, especially my trans, immigrant, and muslim friends, i can't help but remember that the genocide in gaza is still happening. they are already facing the worst case scenario that we will only get a short glimpse of while trump is in office. and he promises to do worse, hard to fathom as it is.

i never had any faith in the democratic party but with the federal government now entirely run by republicans i hope we can all wake up to the fact that we cannot trust it to help anyone. we have to care for each other ourselves.

which is why i'm asking you guys to donate to palestinian, lebanese, sudanese, and congolese fundraisers whenever possible. this post will center on my friend @ahmedpalestine. he's a close childhood friend of hazem khalil, who i also posted for in the past, but his campaign isn't receiving even a fraction of the support. he's vetted by @bilal-salah0 and gaza-evacuation-funds and he's a diaspora palestinian who immigrated to europe for college.

ahmed's cousin was martyred in september. they're stuck in al-maghazi camp on the coast of gaza, where there is a tank invasion and intense bombing. he told me he is now struggling to focus on school because every waking moment is spent worrying about his family. franky it's insulting that has to continuously beg online. he has no time for this. we have to do it for him

This is a fragment from the missiles that are being launched onto the tents, where people are under attack by the latest weapons while still in their shelters. They are surrounded by hunger, fear, death, and suffering from both physical and psychological illnesses. No one in Gaza is safe amidst this destruction.

My family is living through an unbearable nightmare. Please, help me evacuate them from Gaza and ease their suffering.
