🐺 WIP - Grim Reaper Helper & his Home

updated ... A little WIP preview of my nocc house that I’m building for the Grim Reaper event alongside I'm playing it. After ages, I’ve finally been inspired to build again ... as soon as it’s finished, I’ll post it here for free for anyone who wants it. It will contain all rewards that are tangible via build mode.

I created a new save file for this event without any CC, except for my defaults. Since there are always issues with these events, I’ll try to keep this save file for these kinds of things. Let’s see how long I can stick to it ^^ - 🫣.

They were originally just supposed to be roommates, but the chemistry was right from the start. However, they had a tough time during the planning of the "social event", and there was jealousy and a major fight. But as you can see, they've made up and grown closer together.

Now the pack is finally here, and I’m going to see if I can move them, along with the house, over there …

As winter approached, Eddy's determination to improve the cabin grew stronger. Despite a few mishaps and the occasional hammered finger, he made progress. The patched roof now provided better protection, and a flock of chickens added liveliness to the surroundings.

Eddy's ambitions extended to the land beyond the cabin. He prepared garden plots, envisioning a future of bountiful harvests. Spring held the promise of a return to his farming roots, and he eagerly nurtured the soil and tended to the seeds of hope.

In Henford, the cold air of winter began to bite. The once vibrant autumn colors faded, and the scent of wood smoke filled the air. Eddy felt a sense of urgency, gathering firewood to keep the cabin warm during the upcoming cold nights.

Lost in his work, Eddy had completely overlooked the presence of Helena's vanity, left behind in a forgotten corner of his bedroom. It had been months since he last saw her, and the thought occurred to him that she might have intentionally abandoned it. Perhaps she no longer wanted it or had found a replacement.

The notion of selling or dismantling the vanity briefly crossed Eddy's mind, but a wave of guilt washed over him. He couldn't bear the thought of Helena's disappointment if she were to return for her belongings. Then, a different thought emerged

" Why would she bring her vanity with her if she had only sought refuge from the rain? "

Realization struck Eddy, dispelling any doubts. "There's no way that woman forgot her belongings," he muttered to himself, a hint of determination in his voice. The image of Helena's face, both surprised and delighted, filled his mind. He envisioned the joy they would both experience in reconnecting and catching up.

Without hesitation, Eddy tied his shoelaces and grabbed a worn hat. Henford may be a small community, but he was certain someone would know Helena's whereabouts.

(ooc: HONESTLY I LOVE LIVING OFF THE GRID but I also love lighting up my Sims homes, it is always hard when u first get started and the house is so dark even in the afternoon 😭 also Henford weather this summer & fall has been so much rain and clouds wtf it's not helping!!! )

✍️Daily Soap - a casual GP - Intro 🐺

I’d like to share a bit of my rotating gameplay with you, to tell you about my Sims and their gameplay stories or just show some pictures, independently of my planned stories -however, story characters might also appear in the daily soap. Daily doesn't mean I post 'daily' but it's about 'everyday'.

I've been following this idea for a while on our private Discord and sometimes it leads to background stories or new ideas. There’s no fixed rhythm for switching households - it happens spontaneously, depending on what I feel like playing at the moment. This includes all four of my main saves, which I play as a connected universe.

Some characters exist in multiple saves simultaneously but always belong to the same overarching story:

Tom, his tenant, whom I moved in so Liam wouldn’t be alone.

I gave Tom some LoveStruck traits, such as polyamorous and not jealous, to see how it affects the gameplay.

Anything can happen here: test scenes for my GShade presets - spontaneous makeovers of townies we encounter in the gameplay - renovations/builds - moving in new Sims - and possibly even the occasional download.

I hope you’ll enjoy following me and my little pixel people. At the same time, this helps me resist the urge to constantly abandon new story ideas just because they can’t be executed perfectly. That mindset often leads to overthinking and, ultimately, getting nothing done. Sometimes, you just want to sit back and simply play …

That’s the plan - where this journey will take us, we’ll see …

Anyways, I had this brainfart of an idea to try a Christmas themed event/challenge of sorts for this blog.

Obviously it'd take place during December, but I thought I'd carefully test out the waters first-I'd work on a prompt list for the 24 days leading up to Christmas and me and/or any participants who want to join can go wild with them.

Basically you can create anything based on this prompt, be it a short story, headcanons, incorrect quotes, drawings, anything!

I will most like create stuff for the Welcome Home Fandom only, but other fandoms are also welcome! Joy should be universally accessible!

You won't have to do every prompt, but try to get as many as you can. The Main goal is to have fun! ^w^ (And to get into the Christmas mood-)

I admit I haven't fully thought this through yet, but I wanted to share the idea and see who's interested or not.

I will also gladly answer any questions you might have.

Trapped Family in Gaza Appeals for Help to Survive 🕊️🇵🇸🙏

I Samer Abu Ras, am reaching out to you with a heartfelt humanitarian appeal, after the ongoing war in Gaza has cast its dark shadow over my life and the lives of my family. Our lives were once filled with peace and stability before the onset of this catastrophe, but now, we find ourselves living in a situation described as nothing short of tragic.

My wife, Shurooq, our three children, and I are now homeless, without a source of income, and without hope for the future. My family and I have lost our businesses and our home due to the war, and we now have nothing left but the cold streets and troubled hearts.

My children are suffering greatly as a result of these horrific events. They have lost the security and stability they once enjoyed and are now facing new health and psychological challenges that threaten their lives. As a father and husband, I feel powerless in my ability to provide adequate protection and care for them.

My child, who is a year and a half old, is experiencing hardships far beyond his tender age. Since the war broke out, we had to flee our home and seek refuge in a tent in a displacement camp. My child lives in extremely difficult conditions, deprived of safety and stability. The tent does not provide adequate protection from harsh weather, and food and medicine are scarce. My child suffers from malnutrition and illness, lacking basic healthcare. He cannot play or grow in a healthy and suitable environment. My only dream is to see him grow up in a safe place full of opportunities

In the face of difficult circumstances, Samer Abu Ras and his family find themselves facing serious challenges in their daily lives. They reside in a modest tent lacking comfort and security, suffering from a shortage of clean water and food, and encountering difficulties in accessing necessary healthcare. Despite these challenges, they continue to express hope and resilience in confronting adversity, holding onto hope for a better tomorrow and a return to a more stable and secure life.

I appeal to you today, dear friends, to extend to me a helping hand in escaping this hell. Regardless of the size of the donation, every drop of generosity will contribute to alleviating our suffering and rebuilding our lives anew.
