Europe VAT laws not changing any time soon, recent. If understand FAQ well, mean shipping to Europe impossible for several years minimum?
That's correct, I won't be shipping to the EU for the foreseeable future due to some import packaging regulations that either have already been implemented or are planning to be implemented in the future.
Note that this is for EU countries only—I can ship to all other non-EU countries like Switzerland, except for the UK due to the UK's own convoluted VAT system.
The only workaround I can offer for EU folks is that you can have a friend or family that lives in a non-EU country place an order to deliver to their address, and then they are able to ship that order to you marked as a gift. Not an option for everyone, I know.
Longer explanation under the readmore for those curious:
As it stands now, each EU country has its own system and fees that I can't keep up with (for example, France would cost me 80 euros per year), I'd need to individually register and report to each country, some require reporting and tracking of what sources of packaging I use, I believe? It's all very complicated, and it makes my head spin just trying to figure out what the requirements actually are, so that's why I stopped shipping to the EU entirely out of an abundance of caution. I also just don't get enough sales to the EU to justify the headache, I'd probably actually lose money paying all the fees. Actually, while I was looking up details while writing this post, apparently there's a new PPWR that's going to replace the old EU Packaging Directive? This is why I can't handle this (ಥ﹏ಥ)
As for why this doesn't seem to be affecting all companies—corporations can obviously afford their own professionals whose entire job is to handle this stuff, and the requirements are also different for large vs small volumes. Meanwhile, a lot of other small or 1-person businesses straight up don't know about these requirements, because it's not like there's a memo passed around about updates to international shipping law. It's also even more confusing because some packages are slipping by without any issue, probably in part due to how the regulations are still new and still being implemented, so I assume it's kind of a mess.
I know of a few people who are willingly taking the risk and shipping to the EU anyway and have had no consequences (for now at least), but I'm not risking the fines ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Now for the UK, their VAT system doesn't have anything to do with packaging, but what it does require is similar registration with the government, and I'm required to collect and pay the VAT myself. No thanks!
TLDR; laws hard. laws also expensive. too stupid to figure out and too fearful of fines. no ship to countries
fun story: someone also once emailed me this long diatribe about how they think I'm shit at research and that I'm just making all this up (specifically just to screw with europeans or something, I guess?), so I sent them a few links to the literal official government websites where I got my info (like that UK one), and they never responded. lol

Hola, hola! Pregunta de novata asombrada: De veras se casó con ese señor? Habláis de certificado de matrimonio que alguien se molestó en buscar? OMG...
Dear Novata Asombrada Anon,
Hello, hello! Question from a shocked newbie: Did she really marry that man? Are you talking about a marriage certificate that someone bothered to look for? OMG…
Good morning and thank you for asking - you are not the only one today, it would seem. This question is making the rounds again (why?) and let's call this a (fortunate?) coincidence. The Marriage Certificate (MC) was the equivalent of the Great Christian Schism between Rome and Byzantium, in this fandom, mind you. Depending on your own take on the S&C Saga, it has been dreaded, expected, announced with great confidence and actively researched by fans, who simply took advantage of a very relaxed and transparent UK legislation, allowing for basically everyone to order a certified copy by email or snail mail, for a small fee.
The first fan aggressively trumpeting it online was (correct me if I am wrong) an ex-shipper who now goes by the handle of @brian-in-finance, also known as BIF, also known as Kidneystone. In her pedantic and arrogant little voice, she made a point of honor in dissecting absolutely every single detail of that dutifully certified piece of paper issued by the British General Register Office (GRO). A second, short-lived account, @hurleyburly, ordered the same paper and posted it on Tumblr, this time pudically hiding some details under a makeshift post-it. The usual fandom fortunetellers thought the handwriting on that 'post-it' was eerily similar to S's own, but we'll leave it at this. Although, I have to immediately add, I would not discount this possibility. A third prominent shipper account, @boyneriver-fraser, ordered it and made pathetic public amends over her previous shipping stance. Some others imitated them and received the exact same paper, followed by a seemingly endless trail of wrath, confusion and wailings.
People were understandably shocked, hurt and in definite anger over this. Many disembarked the ship, considering they had been either blind/idiot or cynically fooled by our Dynamic Duo, eager to sell the show. Speculation went rife. Some even tried to go the extra mile and believe they found out even more inconsistencies. I shall not speak on their behalf, simply because I was not here at the time and had no idea These Two will become such an (often invading) point of interest in my own life.
But irrespective of any inconsistencies, this paper legally exists. As such, it has legal effects that cannot and should not be discounted. I have always maintained it, as a professional. Likewise, I have consistently explained the Ibiza episode might be anything you could think of, from a romantic (?) picnic on a parking lot with a bird featuring a strange toupee (as per C's tweeted chirp), to a non legally binding handfasting ceremony (remember, LOL, 'some things are just for' Them). I have explained very early after my arrival why I do not think a Spanish marriage was in the cards. This is my final word about that #CarparkIbiza fanfic:
[Link: https://www.tumblr.com/sgiandubh/723029524897529856/i-have-asked-a-few-very-popular-bloggers-this?source=share - July 16, 2023]
More clearly put, national Spanish legislation requires the two foreign citizens to be residents in Spain, if they want to get married there. British consulates do not perform marriage ceremonies, either. And cross-border marriage rules in Europe, at the time applicable to a not yet Brexited UK, would have mandatorily required a transcription of the marriage papers in Britain. This is not the USA, where you can just go to Vegas, have your knot tied by an Elvis lookalike and divorce the next (hungover) morning. Or go to Tijuana and do what Sophia Loren and Carlo Ponti did in 1957, to great (bigamous) scandal. Rules are different. Rules exist, as stupid and cold as they might look. And one more time - they have tangible consequences.
At this point in time, you might logically ask yourself why I am still here. Is it because of the feeling of power and self-importance, as some nasty Anons remind me every single day? Is it because of the formidable people I have met in here? Yes, it is also because of them, but not only because of them, of course. And as far as any feeling of power and self-importance go, let's just say it's ridiculous to think so.
The reason I am still here is both simple and complicated to understand: a paper, even certified, does not a marriage make. Mark me, Anon: there is nothing (I repeat: nothing) normal about this one. There are secrets and lies and inconsistencies and gaslighting galore. The shippers know it. The Antis/Mordor know it. The Fencers know it. And every single one of these broad factions apparently has ample supplies of popcorn. And, as far as we go, champagne bottles stashed, plus a firm decision to have a Global Lollapalooza on the Internet the day this awkward situation would come to an end.
I have tried to answer your very legitimate question the best I could. I do not believe in sugarcoating or hiding anything. What I do believe in, is the power of critical thinking and the ability to coldly analyze facts, even if they do not encourage fantasy. You would be surprised of the things that do not click, in that official Narrative. Important things, not speculation. My blog primarily deals in this kind of stuff: things that do not click and paint a very different story than the one officially being peddled around.
And now, dear Shocked Newbie Anon, you are free to disembark, if you think I am still lying to you (what for, may I ask? just to receive every single day violent garbage into my Inbox?). But if you choose to stay with us, the tea is always brewing, somewhere. And mind you, it's often the finest Oolong you could find, because I honestly believe that we have the most formidable and unexpected assortment of witty minds and strong characters, in here.

RC9GN Merch Interest Gauge
I am thinking of maybe opening a small scale preorder for some RC9GN charms. It would just be one design this round (if we go ahead). Preorder payment would be taken either via Etsy or PayPal Invoice. (I am considering Kickstarter but prefer the other options.) Buyer protection is important so I'd like to use a service that offers it (even if the fees are brutal (;´༎ຶД༎ຶ`)) Specs: Double Sided Acrylic Charm Front size epoxy domed 2" inches tall Production time from preorder date close to item shipping: Estimated 2 - 3 months. The cost: £12 GBP per charm Postage: UK - £4 GBP USA - £10 GBP Other - likely £10+ GBP Some of those numbers may change (hopefully they will go down) but please understand I'm just one person and it's not cheap to get merch made! Now the real question. Who to make?
If I do go ahead with this and it's successful I would be happy to do a second round with the character we don't make this time! And just a note: Both artworks are drawn by myself. I have speedpaints of them on my YouTube if you want to see me drawing them! :)
And just to be clear - this is just gauging interest for now! If we go ahead I might even write up a new ToS section for it.

Forgive me if this is a very elementary question (inspired after watching your TikToks!!) but… I’ve always been curious: what exactly was the role of a secretary in the Macedonian court such that Eumenes could wield so much power and influence, especially during the Successor Wars? Like, to the point that the Chilliarch, the second-in-command to the king himself, would have beef with him? I guess when I think of a secretary, I envision the more stereotypical modern version of them, which is like an executive assistant, or the front desk receptionist, or a customer service agent, which obviously seems to be anachronistic. But I’m just struggling to comprehend what would have made Eumenes, or the role he occupied, such a controversial figure.
First, let me point to an important book by my colleague, Ed(ward M.) Anson, Eumenes of Cardia: a Greek among Macedonians (2nd ed., 2015). It’s a quite excellent discussion of Eumenes’s career, and was actually Ed’s dissertation topic. I reckon, like me, he waited a long while before turning the dissertation into a monograph (even the 1st edition). Alas, it’s expensive. Even I don’t own a copy, as I have access to the university library’s. But I do recommend that folks interested request it via Interlibrary Loan (ILL). Even smaller public libraries offer that service, although you might have to pay a (relatively) small shipping fee.
So, Eumenes is an interesting character in many ways. As you suggest, “secretary” gives the wrong impression. The word in Greek is grammateus, and it can mean any sort of scribe, clerk, records keeper…or the official in charge of the whole royal office: official correspondence, what letters the king actually saw, the keeping of the Royal Journal and other state records, etc., etc. A hugely influential position, his might be closer to what we’d call, in the US, the Chief of Staff.
In my opinion, that was the heart of Eumenes’s dislike of Hephaistion. I said it in my dissertation and still think it’s true. When Hephaistion was made Chiliarch, that put him above Eumenes in administration around Alexander. The Chief of Staff got demoted…and didn’t like it. It’s from Susa onward that the two men seem to clash—at least twice that we know about. (I differ with Ed on this; he thinks it was about personalities while I think it was more political- and status-driven.)
That Eumenes was loyal to Alexander—and the Argead family—isn’t in question. But it wasn’t just Hephaistion he had trouble with. We know he also didn’t like Antipatros—one reason he sided with Perdikkas, even when (his friend) Krateros joined Antipatros. He also had a long-standing family beef with Hekataios of Kardia, and later hated Kassandros (as the son of Antipatros). But he seems to have got on with Olympias and Kleopatra—who he tried to get Perdikkas to marry. Perdikkas took his advice and divorced Antipatros’s daughter Nikaia, which eventually led to his downfall. One can’t escape the sense that Eumenes was touchy. Then again, as I’ve said before, they all were. And he had to put up with being constantly looked down on both as a “mere secretary” and as a Greek among Macedonians. He advanced on Alexander’s favor…which probably made others jealous of him. In fact, I think that’s one reason he took Hephaistion’s promotion hard. He’d worked hard for Chief of Staff, and didn’t like Hephaistion butting in. And if Hephaistion was also of Greek descent (as I’ve argued), both may have had a sense that there was room only for one. Or at least Eumenes may have thought so.
Men in his position weren’t normally entrusted with military commands, but he proved to be surprisingly good and, according to Ed, probably had more army assignments during Alexander’s lifetime than he’s credited with. (He was allied with Ptolemy’s enemy, Perdikkas, remember and Ptolemy was Arrian’s chief military source.) When Perdikkas was elevated to Hephaistion’s position, Eumenes took Perdikkas’s old command, and later, was himself Chilliarch. The infantry seems to have liked/trusted him, and later, he was quite successful at securing Cappadocia. In fact, during the early Diadochi wars, it was his stratagem that defeated Krateros’ army and got him killed (perhaps to his own regret, although I think Plutarch exaggerated that account). He also fought—one-on-one—against Neoptolemos … another of Alexander’s officers he couldn’t stand. And beat him. Neoptolemos was a demonstrated military commander.
So he seems to have defied the usual expectation of what a grammateus could do—and become. He was the highest ranking Greek in Alexander’s army, the only one to really rub shoulders with the Macedonian inner circle.
EDIT: I realized I forgot Nearchos. So Eumenes AND Nearchos were the two top-ranked Greeks at Alexander's court at his death. But if anything, Eumenes had edged Nearchos in place.

Hello dear Sarah, how are you? You know, I'm anxious, I wanted to know if you know if they will record the Kalafina concert? I'm dying to see that 😭Please tell me if there will be a release, I want to see them. I can't travel to Japan, it's sad to think that maybe I'll never see them live but I haven't lost hope so it would be great if this comeback was released on bluray I would buy it 😭 although I'm scared I won't receive the discs again excuse my weakness for the kalagirls
Hello there!
I'm good, thank you. A bit overwhelmed with everything that's going on right now but it's fine. I just have to focus on the fact that I will be seeing Kalafina in less than 10 days.
I wish I could give you the answer you are seeking but right now, we simply do not have any info on whether or not they are planning to record the concert. Usually, these things don't get announced in advance, we'll have certainty once the first people are at the venue and can confirm that there are lots of cameras around. I'll try to make a quick post if I happen to see anything.
But yeah, a DVD or Blu-ray would honestly be amazing. In theory, it should be no issue at all for Space Craft to release live recordings of Kalafina's music even without YK' involvement (they have done it before with Wakana's covers) but they might have to pay a fair amount of money to YK for a proper home video release. Not sure if they are willing to do that. We'll see. Maybe they will do a broadcast on a streaming platform instead? This method is becoming more and more popular these days, probably because it's a lot cheaper than a physical release.
I sadly cannot really give you any meaningful advice on how to best receive your packages since I have never really had problems with that. Maybe ask fellow Kalafina fans from your country about how they handle overseas purchases like that. Definitely choose a shipping option that offers a solid tracking service and maybe pick a different address than the one you used before (work place etc). Depending on where you live, you should also expect to pay high import taxes and/or custom fees so it's best to save up some money.

hey, gang! miss me? no? too bad, because i miss you. i think about you all the time. i hope the year has treated you well. this is, what, the third, fourth year i've done a year-in-review post? have i done more than that? it's after midnight. i can't be bothered to check. i fear a lot of the mysteries of getting older, but i will say, i don't mind that it's easier to shrug certain things off. i look back on all the times i hid from some scary fandom discourse and go, "god, why did i care?" it helps to have other things going on.
on the other hand, i guess 2024 was the year of finding out what happens when you put everything into your day job and leave nothing for the weekend. it was a wild year at work, which i assume is normal as a game ramps up to ship. i gave a lot, which was good! i'd be lying if i said it didn't take a lot out of me. important people at trade shows have now seen things i wrote! i got to work with voice actors! good news: a lot of your faves are great people! i also made, like, no progress on any of my own projects except the picrew, which i still chip away at. yes, i still draw. more on that later.
one or two people in my coworkers-turned-friends circle have broached the subject of occupational burnout and whether i've reached it yet. as i said last year, i remember what voltage burnout felt like, and it took a much weirder, angrier journey to get me there. it's kind that they're looking out for me, though. i think it's something all creative people could stand to keep an eye on. a buddy of mine even gave a GDC talk about it. it's a shame GDC is so stingy with access to its talks. at least this article has a great summary if you're interested in learning more.
there were other things, though. my mother broke her hip in june, which forced me into a caregiver role that i'm not suited to. don't worry, she's fine now. i love her, so it was important to me, but it didn't leave a lot of time to sit and write for fun. i started what i thought would be a casual fanfic project, wildly over-scoped it, and made a ton of work for myself. i outlined an original story about a difficult, personal subject and a culture i'm descended from, but not really familiar with. there's a lot of pressure to do it right, is what i'm saying. i'm taking the only path i can think of, which is to bury myself in research. the trouble is, a lot of the literature about this time and place is also very challenging, so it burns a lot of brain calories. it's a far cry from what usually gets me to start a story, which is "i want these characters to sleep together. let's see where it goes."
in a different time, i would've taken this struggle as an omen that i wasn't the right person to write this story and abandoned it. it's critical that i don't take the coward's way out this time if i'm going to honor the question i asked at the end of last year. "what is my work saying?" my mother told me the same thing a few months ago: "i think you're a good writer, you just need to find good things to say." i take that to mean i have to write closer to real experiences, which means including the parts i don't like: disappointment, loss, mistakes, uncertainty. i had all of this year to figure out how, and the evidence shows i didn't. i don't know what to say. "oh well?" maybe you can't put a deadline on these things. in the meantime, hercule and aida deserve more stories (it's an hercule and aida story), and i want more people to know about them, and maybe i can say something real through them.
this was also the year that i reckoned with the other side of "all it takes is money to make problems go away." i was able to travel, i mean really travel, for the first time. all it took was being able to throw a chunk of my salary at it. i had some shipping drama [sorry, not the romantic kind] where i had no choice but to pony up a ton of customs fees. my arm PT didn't work, so i'll have to try a specialist who's out of my insurance network and pay full price to see them. this must be what they call "being a successful adult." i thought it'd look different. i wanted to live in the city and have a hot, mysterious boyfriend. well, i can still live closer to the city if i keep saving up for that house, and maybe some hot, mysterious guy will take pity on me someday. do you think they like 32-year-olds who play video games and have flat chests? i went all the way to paris and still didn't find out. damn! 🤌
nah, i'm kidding. i mean, i'm not, but i have other things to worry about. as i mentioned above, things with my arm have taken a curious turn. after six and a half years of assuming i had tendinitis, i found out, not only is it likely not that, i may not be injured at all. the particulars of this theory get out into the weeds of neuromuscular science, so i'll only bore you with them if you want me to. the point is, if any of it holds water, it would go a long way toward explaining why none of the typical rest/heat/stretching/strengthening protocols have worked. it's actually unfathomable how much effort i've put into solving this mystery just so i can get back to drawing fictional people kissing. you can call my creative work boring or predictable or whatever you want, but never say i haven't committed to the bit.
i don't tend to read my previous years-in-review. this year, i did, because i sensed i was grappling with a lot of the same things as last year. there's nothing i hate like being repetitive. not that you would know from the way i keep writing the same three character archetypes. humor me here. i was all set to keep whining until i reminded myself how 2023 had gone, and i thought, "geez. it wasn't that bad." nobody i love died, for a start. my health is better. i have some unread books sitting around. as terrible as 2023 was, i survived it. if you're reading this, you did too.
so here's what i'm going to do. i think you should do it with me, though whether i'm in any position to give advice is up to you. i'm not going to make any predictions about whether 2025 will be bad or good. i'm just going to see what happens. deal? all right. we'll check in next year. you'd better be there!

*The Hunter and the Hunted (Din Djarin x Bounty! Reader)
Summary: You were a master thief who, even when captured, always managed to escape. Maybe, that was about to change.
Warnings: smut!!! 18+ only!!! enemies to (sort of) lovers, hate sex, vaginal fingering, orgasm denial, p in v sex, unprotected sex, slight sir kink, humiliation/degradation, mean (ish) mando
WC: 1941
Notes: The Din Djarin fic is here! I had originally had something totally different planned that I ended up hating lmao, and this is fic number two, which I think turned out much better! Enjoy the filth😈
Stealing was second nature at this point. It was all you knew. At first, it was just a piece of bread from a food stand to feed your hungry sister. During the war, it was smuggling secret plans to either side; you got your paycheck regardless of who you did the job for. Now, it was taking large sums of money, treasure, and other important items from the rich. You were always on the run, though you were used to it by now. You had been caught before, but escaped every time.
This time, you were hiding out in the dense forests of Dantooine, far away from the settlements in the grasslands and hills. It was the same routine. Steal, hide out for a month or so until law enforcement and bounty hunters forgot about you, then steal again. You kind of enjoyed when you got to lay low; it gave you time to rest and plan your next move. But it was now sundown, and the lack of electricity on the planet meant that you couldn’t do much after the sun had set. So you quickly checked your traps, meant to ward off potential intruders, then settled down for the night.
You woke up to the sound of one of your traps going off. Silently, you climbed down from your bed, peeking through the window. You could see a tall figure outside, but they didn’t appear to be trapped. Instead, it seemed he purposefully set it off. Cursing under your breath, you knew this was one of the rare instances that you would have to flee. You quickly and quietly gathered your things and slipped out of the back door, clutching your blaster tightly.
Only for you to be slammed into the ground!
You pushed the figure off of you, purely running on instinct as you fired a shot at them. But the shot bounced off of the armor that you could now see. Beskar.
You cursed lowly again. Of course it was a Mandalorian. Though your traps had fooled many, and your fighting prowess defeated those you couldn’t outsmart, a Mandalorian was a completely different beast. One that you weren’t sure you could beat.
In a flash, he shot flames at you, which you skillfully dodged as you fired a few more shots at him. Annoyingly, all of your shots missed as he moved out of the way. Unexpectedly, he shot a whipcord at you. You leaped to the side, almost dodging the attack, but the cord snared your leg! You shot at him a few times in an attempt to keep him away while you tried to cut off the cord with your vibro knife, but he was too fast, pinning you to the ground and using the excess cord to bind your hands.
“Let me go,” you hissed, trying to kick at him.
But he held firm, binding you practically from head to toe. He dragged you behind him, forcing you to leave behind your temporary home and all of your epic traps (which was sad, you spent a long time making those). Though you struggled, he was stronger, and he pulled you all the way to a very old ship. He pulled you up the ramp and shut it behind you, finally letting you go in favor of going to start up the ship.
Manipulating your body within your binds, you managed to grasp your knife and cut yourself free. But it was too late to truly free yourself, for the ship took off before you could open the door. Cursing seemed to be a common theme for you today as your fist landed on the side of the ship in frustration.
Footsteps clambered down from the ladder that you assumed lead up to the controls until the Mandalorian was in front of you once more. Though you couldn’t see his face, you could feel him glaring at you.
“Listen, we both know I can’t go anywhere right now,” you reasoned, trying to get him not to tie you up again.
But he grabbed a pair of manacles and approached you, forcing you down onto a bench. You knew better than to resist.
“You’re the fucking worst,” you spat as he chained you, “I literally can’t do anything to escape.”
“But you could still try to kill me.”
For some reason, the deep timbre of his filtered voice, as well as his close proximity and the way he was able to pull you around like you weighed nothing was doing it for you. You clenched your thighs instinctively, hoping he missed it. But as the rest of your evening had proved, luck was not on your side.
He wrenched your thighs open with his large hands, and you were sure he was smirking when he said, “Is this doing it for you?”
“Of course not,” you lied, trying to pull yourself away from him.
But the Mandalorian held you steady, “You’re lying. Tell me the truth and this might end in something we both want.”
Your thighs tried to close again, but he held you open, fingers brushing higher on the clothed flesh.
“It might be doing something for me,” you mumbled, knowing that this wasn’t a situation you wanted to get out of.
Sure, he was going to turn you in for a pretty large sum of money. But why not enjoy yourself while you still could? Besides, you knew you were going to break out anyway.
“Yeah? You want this?”
“Yes.”
With your affirmation, he yanked your pants down your legs, not bothering to fully take them off.
“Not much time, we’re almost there,” he muttered, pulling off his gloves and shoving two of his fingers into you.
You cried out in pleasure as he groaned, “Fuck, you’re wet. Good thing you are, need to keep things moving.”
“Then just put your cock in me!” you snapped, “don’t waste your time with this part.”
He shook his head, “Have to. I’m too big, I’ll hurt you a bit too much if I try now.”
“Didn’t care much about hurting me when you were bringing me to your ship,” you hissed.
He sighed, curling his fingers and prodding a spot that had you arching off of the seat, “That was different, and you know it. Now shut up and let me open you up for me.”
He punctuated his sentence with a sharp thrust of his fingers, adding a third as you writhed in his grip.
“Shit,” you gasped, “fucking close.”
As soon as the words left your lips, he pulled his fingers out, making you groan in frustration.
“Have to be nice in order to get what you want.”
The remark simultaneously made your blood boil and your pussy wet. Especially when he started pulling off some of the armor that clad his legs. You tried not to gasp when he shoved his own pants down his thighs. You hadn’t believed that he really needed to open you up until this moment: he was fucking huge. The Mandalorian climbed on top of you, lining himself up with your entrance, but making no move to push in. You tried to pull him closer, but your hands were still bound.
“What the fuck are you waiting for? You said we didn’t have a lot of time!” you exclaimed, hooking your feet around his thighs in an effort to pull him closer.
The filtered chuckle that sounded from his helmet made you shiver, “Remember what I said about being nice?”
Your eyes widened, “Are you serious?!”
He pulled away from you, sending the horny parts of your brain into a sex-depraved panic, “Wait, please! Don’t go!”
He stopped his movements, but made no move to come closer. You could feel his eyes boring into you in silent triumph. He knew he had you, the sly motherfucker.
You sighed, slightly in humiliation as you caved, “Need your cock, please, sir.”
“That’s a little better,” he crooned, enjoying the way you squirmed slightly in embarrassment as he lined himself up again, “keep going.”
You cursed under your breath as you begged, “Please fuck me, sir. Never been so wet in my-oh!”
You cut yourself off as he pushed the tip into you. Even that felt big to you, and you knew it was just the beginning.
“That’s a good slut, begging for me,” he growled in your ear, but his voice softened as much as it could as he continued, “tell me if it hurts, though.”
“I will,” you promised, “please keep going.”
It felt excruciatingly slow as he filled you up. You could feel every inch, every ridge, and every vein as he entered you, and you couldn’t help the impatient, yet desperate noises that spilled from your lips.
“Told you I was big,” he remarked as he was fully sheathed inside of you.
“Guess I’ll see if you’re all talk-”
Any further insult you could’ve come up with was cut off with a sharp gasp as he pulled out almost the whole way and slammed into you.
“Oh fuck!”
Each thrust was just as intense as the last, driving you up the bench until your head was almost hitting the metal wall with every thrust. It was almost animalistic; the way his hands crushed your thighs in his strong grip, his grunts into your ear, and the way your eyes couldn’t help but roll into the back of your head. You buried your face into his shoulder, trying to muffle your moans.
“Don’t hide from me, slut,” the Mandalorian growled, one of his hands tangling in your hair and yanking you away from his shoulder.
You sobbed out in pleasure from the pain now pricking your scalp in tandem with his harsh thrusts. You honestly couldn’t speak even if you tried, your mouth permanently stuck open with your whimpers and moans.
“Not so mean when you can’t speak, hm? Maybe you would’ve been more willing to come with me if I had stuck my cock in you first,” he taunted, but you knew he was right.
You couldn’t tell him you were about to come, but the way your thighs trembled and the increased volume of your moans told him everything he needed to know.
Two of his skillful fingers rubbed your clit as the hand in your hair moved to your throat, squeezing slightly as he held you down.
That was all it took, your body spasming beneath him as you came harder than you ever had before.
“That’s it,” he murmured as you fell apart, “look so pretty like this.”
The soft compliment was unexpected, but it added to the pleasure of your orgasm. You didn’t really notice him pulling out and fucking his fist until he spilled onto your thighs. Surprisingly, he disappeared and returned with a scrap of fabric, cleaning the both of you off as best he could. Even more surprisingly, he unlocked your manacles, and you rubbed your wrists where the cold metal bit into your skin.
“Think it might be good to keep you around,” he offered simply before disappearing into the cockpit.
You felt the ship turn in a different direction as you smirked. Once again, you had avoided capture, though this time, you had a feeling you wouldn’t stealing anything else.
He came back down the ladder, having placed the ship on autopilot.
“You know, it might be good to have a business partner. Someone who knows where the criminals hide out so you can get a few more bounties,” you offered.
“I was thinking the same thing.”
You had a feeling you’d enjoy this partnership very much.

i thought about this for a bit longer because i was like "surely surely there's gotta be a slash or femslash where people do that" and while there are some instances, from observation flanderisation and mischaracterisation of both the character and the ship generally seems to happen more with m/f
M/f ships especially for whatever fucking reason
#full disclosure i don't like any of the main m/f pairings so like i don't actively seek it out but twitter seems to think they're the only#ones i like because it's so broken and i can't be asked to filter any tags so i see stuff for them constantly ANYWAY#especially with VBS this happens because people seem to tone down the partnerships between vivids and bad dogs most of the time#(bc yknow. romantic soulmates coded lol) but like even if you ship akkh or tykh or whatever the hell you can still have the partnerships be#important. even if you have to downplay the implied romantic parts for m/f vbs to work you don't have to tone down the friendship#wow heteronormativity! boys can't be too close to their friends or they're gay oh dear. it's okay for girls though hashtag solidarity#also particular with akkh. often gets watered down to really tropey shit like shoujo manga soft girl x rough around the edges boy#or girlboss x boyflop sorta thing (which kinda happens to ankh in some circles)#the girlbossification of azusawa kohane.#also god the amount of times i've seen rinn or mzri fans start discourse with ritk fans over rui's depression like GUys.#i don't know how many times it has to be said but rui and nene became sorta distant in middle school. nene wasn't there for rui she didn't#know what to do for him so didn't do anything. mizuki and rui didn't really do anything for each other either they just made each other fee#less lonely#with mizuki their salvation came with kanade and n25 as said in carnation and outright shown in ribbon#with rui it came with tsukasa and wxs as outright stated in pandemonium and 2 years prior by mizuki and kaito in kamikou fes#like so what if nene wasn't there for rui in middle school? that doesn't devalue the ship and she's there for him /now/ and that's what#matters literally read the 3rd event in the game. it doesn't matter that rui and mizuki were able to heal because of people other than each#other and you don't need to twist it so that they did because then it doesn't make sense with their current characterisation#and i would call it heteronormativity like “the most important person to this guy can't be another guy” downplay male friendship#but honestly it just seems like. jealousy? in these two instances.#like damn okay so kanade saved mizuki (not that anyone brings this up EVER) and tsukasa was able to help rui but like. rui and mizuki's#companionship was still important to both of them even if they couldn't do anything to help each other. wxs is still important to rui HE#OUTRIGHT SAYS IT “when i started doing shows at the wonder stage with *everyone* my way of thinking and feeling started to change”#you don't need to try and downplay the fact he thanked tsukasa and make up something to cover it up because genuinely it's. kinda sad#that you're willing to misinterpret your ship because your salty that the rival ship got content#like rinn and mzri still work even if he thanked tsukasa. shocking i know#“i don't like any of the main m/f pairings” that's a lie i like kaimei actually. wait does that count as a main m/f pairing jeez these tags#are long maybe i should've just put them in the post#rambles#fuck it

Between the Black and Gray 40
First / Previous / Next
They thundered down the hall, caught up in the crowd of people trying to escape the basement. The person that Northern was negotiating with leading the way. At an intersection in the old Starjumper, people streamed in every direction, trying to go to every exit they could.
As they ran, there was another rippling thump of missiles striking the hull and Fen's inner ear did gymnastics as the gravity generators fluctuated and tried to compensate. Immediately after a sound like paper tearing but two octaves lower caused the decking to vibrate.
"They finally have the defensive cannons up. Took them long enough." The woman said. As she walked down the hall, she slowed and palmed a door everyone was ignoring. It slid open and she gestured for them to enter.
Everyone stepped in, and the door shakily slid shut. The Action Stations alarm was muted but still audible, but the shuffling and noise of the crowd escaping the basement was nearly completely cut off. The room was large and dark, and had an echo that was odd. Fen tried to look around, but couldn't figure out where they were.
Northern looked at the other woman. "Penny, are you going to tell us why you brought us here? We need to get to the docking hall. We don't even know who is attacking us."
"Relax Northern, if the gravity is still on, that means they haven't hit anything important yet. I needed to get us out of the flow of traffic so I can reach out." Her eyes flashed blue as she communicated. "Okay, so I have two candidates that are interested in piloting for you. One wants a flat fee, the other wants a cut of the profits."
"Who are they?" Northern looked around. She seemed anxious. She kept staring back at the door.
"You won't know them."
"What? Try me."
"Okay, one is Timewinder - they were a frigate back around contact, presumed lost during the purge, and showed back up here a few months ago asking around about work. The other is Stormy Days, an old Starjumper. She says she's actually only a little younger than Gord. I don't know why she's not more involved in AI politics, all the oldsters seem to be. She went to ground when the purge started, and avoided it."
Northern's eyes widened. "Stormy is still around? And she's looking for work? What happened to her Starjumper?"
Penny shook her head. "You'll have to ask her. She's also the one that wants the cut of profits."
Fen was watching the conversation intently. "How large of a cut?"
Penny turned to Fen. She seemed to notice her for the first time."Ten percent."
Zhe's ears flicked. That was a lot, but less than all their shares. "We can't afford to be choosy Fen, and it sounds like she has lots of experience."
Fen balled her fists and scowled. "I would have preferred to have some time to discuss this and meet with them-" there was another series of thumps "-but it seems like we're short on time. We'll go with Stormy Days, Northern knows her at least. Have her meet us at my ship."
Penny nodded. Her eyes flashed again. "Done. Stormy accepts and will meet you. Now then." She started towards the other end of the room, away from the door. "Come on, I think I know a shortcut."
"You think?" Fen said, but walked after her anyway. As they walked, they felt the presence of imposing machine, long dark and cold. Reactors? Where were they?"
About halfway down the hall, there was a clack of gigantic relays, and the overhead lights came on, buzzing and loud. Everyone shielded their eyes against the glare and as Fen's eyes adjusted, she looked over at the machines. "Those are wormhole generators!"
As if on cue, more relays clacked to life and the generators began to spin up. There was a warbling whine that got louder and louder until it felt like Fen's whole body was vibrating sympathetically. "Why are they coming online?"
Northern was laughing slightly manically. "They really did keep the wormhole generators! They're going to link Picaresque away from the attack. It's brilliant if it works."
Zhe turned her face away from the machines coming to life. "What do you mean "if" it works?"
"Wormhole field generation is a tricky thing. I imagine Picaresque is a lot larger than whatever starjumper was used when this station was built. If they don't get it right, only half the station will go."
The noise of the generators was getting louder, almost too loud to speak. "Is it safe to be this close?" she shouted.
"Probably not, no." Northern agreed. "Let's go-"
****
Fen woke up again, laying on the grass.
She sighed. Well, if they were going to be destroyed from a bad link, at least she could stay with Ma-ren. She sat up. Ma was lounging on the grass a meter away or so. "Hey hon. Been a while. Not linking around?"
Fen shook her head. "No. Was with Gord again for a bit, had a thing with Nanites." She snapped her fingers in recollection. "I got to meet the Empress too. She drinks too much for my tastes, but she was nicer than I expected."
Ma laughed. "The actual Empress?"
"I think so yeah. She said I was a clone of the first human Empress."
Ma nodded. "Yes, I knew."
Fen's jaw dropped, and her eyes widened. "You knew?"
"Just about everyone knew. We all agreed to keep it from you until you were ready, but it wasn't a secret, not really."
"But why?"
Ma shrugged. "That was something our grandparents decided. By the time you came of age the reasoning got lost in "everyone knows." Maybe they thought that having you would mean an Empress they could reason with. Maybe they thought the Nanites would be more willing to connect to you. Maybe they just wanted to annoy the Empire. I don't know."
"The Nanites did connect with me, when I went through a Gate. They said I could be the new Empress if I wanted."
That caused Ma-ren to pause. She leaned back slightly. "You're here so you didn't accept?"
Fen scoffed. "I didn't have a choice. They just did it to me. I had no idea what had happened until Northern guessed. Gord had some thingy that got rid of them though. He said he was going to work to defeat them."
Ma's ears flicked. "Interesting." She looked around. "Be safe, love. Things are going to get... weird."
****
Fen woke up on the floor of the generator room, her head pounding. The wormhole generators coasting down to a stop. The whine had lowered to a deep thrum and as the noise sank, the harmonics caused the floor to buzz and vibrate more. Northern and Zhe and Penny looked at her owlishly.
"Oh, she's one of those?" Penny said.
"Yup. Come on Fen." Northern held out a hand. "If they linked away, we probably have a few minutes before whoever was attacking us figures out where we went and comes around."
Fen took her hand and stood up, her head still pounding. That was new. "Yeah, okay." She shook her head. That just made the pounding worse. "Let's go."
Penny led them through the generator hall, and out of another door into a large, dusty, dark hallway. There were a few sets of footprints in the thick dust, but not many.
As they ran, Fen notices the hallway change. It started to twist almost, until they were running on a wall. They passed a room which had an open door on the ceiling, with some wires and hoses dangling down, as if there was some kind of struggle.
The sideways hall ended in a large bulkhead. Penny looked up and there was a door. As she stared, the door slid open smoothly. "That's where we need to go."
Fen looked up. "It's at least two meters up."
Penny nodded. "Yes, but the gravity changes orientation at the doorway. Once you're up, the 'wall' will be the 'floor'.
"That's fine, but how do we get there? Zhe and I can't jump that high.
Penny didn't say anything. Instead she crouched low and sprang up.
If Fen didn't see it herself, she wouldn't have believed it. Penny launched herself into the air, crossing the distance with ease, and grabbed onto the doorway with both hands. Hanging for only a split second to redirect momentum, she flung herself through the door. "Northern and I will help. Come on Northern."
Northern rolled her eyes and looked at Fen. "I don't like doing this either, Fen. I hate showing off how we're different." She crouched low like Penny and, just like Penny, sprang up into the doorway. A second later, a belt was lowered down. "Grab onto it."
Fen gestured to Zhe. The K'laxi walked up and timidly grabbed the belt with both hands. With a yelp, she was hoisted aloft and then the belt was lowered again. Fen grabbed on, wrapped the belt around her wrist. She needed have worried though, she was lifted up as if she weighed nothing.
The feeling of changing gravity orientation was odd. It made her ears hurt, and she felt nauseous for a moment. It passed, and she looked out through the door and saw the floor. Down was always relative in space, it's just that most places took great pains to hide that fact.
Penny led them a short distance and they came upon a ladder. "Okay, we're under the dock. Up that ladder and through the hatch and you'll be close to your ship." She looked at the three of them. "This is where we part ways. Northern, you have my finder's fee?"
"Fen's got it." Northern turned to Fen. "Pay Penny please. She got us what we needed."
Penny beamed the invoice to Fen. It was... eye watering, but she paid promptly and completely.
Penny grinned. "Lovely. A pleasure doing business with you. I hope we can meet again under more pleasant circumstances." She turned a corner and was gone.
Fen sighed and started up the ladder. At the top the hatch slid open without her having to do anything. There was a blast of hot air, and sure enough, they were in a rear corner of the dock.
It was barely contained pandemonium. People were running to their ships, some with hastily treated injuries. People were running with the clothes on their backs and whatever they could carry. The few stevedores and traffic control personnel did their best, but when this many people wanted to leave at once, there wasn't much you could do.
The three of them climbed out, and as Northern exited, the hatch slid shut. Fen saw her frigate and yes, there was a young woman standing around it, her bored expression out of place in the sea of concerned faces.
The three of them pushed their way across the dock until they reached the frigate. "Stormy, is that you?" Northern looked questioningly at the woman. She was short, a bit shorted than Fen, and young. If she wasn't an AI, she was twenty five at best. She was immaculately made up, wearing designer clothing and was perfectly put together. Fen didn't know many AIs, but the ones she had met before just looked like people not like... a model.
Stormy smiled a million dollar smile, revealing perfect teeth. "Northern Lights is that you? I haven't seen you in a few centuries at least!" She ran over and gave a huge hug to Northern. "Last I heard you went to ground and were doing fortune telling."
Northern grinned weakly. "I do that off and one when I have nothing else going. I'm running with Fen and Zhe here for now. We're giving mercenary work a run, and I'm sick of being the ship. You know how it is."
Stormy nodded sagely. "I know your history, yes." She turned to Fen. "Did Northern ever tell you about her history? She's a war hero!"
Fen blinked. "She's a what?"
Northern's face darkened. "I don't want to talk about that right now, Stormy."
Stormy raised an eyebrow. "Okay Northern. We don't have to discuss it." She looked at the ship. "This the frigate? It looks practically new."
"It is new, I got it from Dreams of Hyacinth."
Stormy turned to Fen. "Dreams is around? Last I heard they were shackled with the Empire."
Fen looked away. "I unshackled Dreams, but then she destroyed herself after giving me the ship and supplies."
Stormy Days nodded. "It's not your fault Fen. Releasing Dreams was the right choice. She didn't kill herself because of you. Come on, let's get out of here before the Empire finds us."
"The Empire?" Fen gestured towards the ship and the gangplank lowered.
"Yup. They sent out an all wavelength blast saying that the kidnappers of their Empress would be dealt with harshly."
"Uh oh." Zhe said, as they all climbed aboard.

I'm still on Neverland after the Wendy Bird Fell, so no wonder I ended up grieving again my lost OTP and fav character
Rewatching the Tinker Bell films with my 4-year old cousin (Lydia really hit it home lol), and I keep on thinking how this franchise was my first exposure to mix signals (I mean, not just in shipping, but in general), with how they kept on implying Terence and Tink's romance, but not fully committing to it until it was unfortunately cancelled... like c'mon right? You had Rosetta and Queen Clarion have cute scenes with their boyfriends, but Terence did not even speak. My inner ten-year old self is still angsty about this ship baiting. If y'all just want a representation of girl and boy just being friends, Tink with Clank and Bobble is right there! Ship what you want, but Terence was obviously framed as the love interest, and then they just did nothing with it!
Terence went from having these cute special scenes highlighting his bond with Tinker Bell since the first film, to a background character who doesn't even exchange a line or share a frame with his apparent (to the very least) best friend; Look, he was barely in GFR, but he was the first and last character Tinker Bell spoke to in that movie, and was part of the squad hanging out in the end; his presence and absence were addressed properly with respect to his character and relationship with Tink.
Afterwards... he was just there for a little fanservice in a few seconds. They started the mix signals or ship baiting by SotW when Tink looked at him at the start, and how Peri asked her about them (where she did not even deny if they're dating), yet Terence was with less than a minute screen-time and no spoken dialogue. It's just sad yk (Jesse McCartney was still credited tho lol).
I get that they had to expand the stories and characters somewhere else and he was really too kind of a character who already solved his conflict with the mc (where I think many could see as a mary-sue even tho he had his flaws and fights with Tink), but as the very least, bff character, he was just sadly overlooked. Like, why is he barely there in Pirate Fairy?? The whole movie revolving around his best friend literally is about his expertise lmaoo The writers had to throw away an already established talented dust-keeper fairy just for the plot they wanted like how they did with the concept of winter fairies in SotW.
In the end, maybe some people just don't like or care about him (which is sad, bc how could you not??), or/and the writers just wanted to focus on the girl group (or maybe Jesse's talent fee is too big who knows? haha) ... I mean, it's still good they left it open-ended, so people can ship and interpret it however they want (no wrong with that esp. since the franchise is towards a younger audience and promotes friendships more). My disappointment just mainly comes from the erasure of Terence's importance in the later films. They could have just done what GFR did; he's just a supporting character, but he was still treated as one of Tink's friends. He didn't deserve being shoved aside especially as one of the fairies who originated from the books, and her best friend.
Now, excuse me if I'll watch Lost Treasure for the nth time.
#my ramblings#commentary#disney fairies#tinkerence#tinkerbell x terence#terence tinker bell#tinkerbell#still sad how underrated Terence is#but at least Lost Treasure will always be there#otp#I respect everyone's ships tho#like I would have shipped them with other characters already if I wasn't so loyal to them lol#but then again that loyalty comes with a reason#excuse me for this rant#the inner child in me is still disappointed lmaoo

Hi! I’m not sure if this has been asked before but is there a reason she moved her bookclub to Charlie’s platform? Also, does she get paid for these talks with the authors? I’ve always wondered that. Thanks!
The answer is ALWAYS money.
My guess is that it’s some sort of a circle-jerk type of deal where she moves her thing to his platform and in turn he does some sort of work for her/Jared like managing their social media.
Remember that Momentus was charging for attending her bookclubs live with the ability to chat and ask questions. Momentus then reportedly gave an undisclosed percent of that fee to charity of choice. Gen probably pockets a portion of the remaining profit, but I don’t know that for sure.
Not that long ago, you could also buy her bookclub picks through the Momentus website, but I don’t see that anymore. Instead, if you click her “link in bio” link on IG, Gen now has her own affiliate link with a site called Bookshop.org. This site has marketed itself as an alternative to Amazon and as an advocate for independent bookstores. Which all sounds great until you do a little bit of research.
Bookshop.org basically acts as a middle man between a wholesale warehouse (named Ingram) and indie bookstores. Bookshop doesn’t even take from the indie bookstore’s inventory. Shops can set up an account, customers order books, they are shipped from an Ingram warehouse, and the site gives the indie seller a 30% cut of the profit…but indie bookstores are concerned because they would make more by cutting out the middle man. Duh!
(Read more here and here)
And when individuals like Gen can become an affiliate and earn 10% on sales, indie bookstores lose out even more.
“Publications that review books can earn much-needed financial support”…nope, that’s not Gen. “Book clubs can earn sustaining funds on each pick”…that doesn’t feel like it fits either. “Instagram influencers can earn revenue”…theeeeere it is!
You see that running total at the top of that website? Gen didn’t contribute to that. Her 10% goes right in her pocket. Remember a couple weeks ago when Gen posted a reel about her favorite local Austin indie bookstores? And how important it is to support them?
She cares about her own bottom line even more.
But I bet she would love for you to believe that this was yet another altruistic, pious choice in the name of small businesses and sustainability. Most fans won’t look this deeply into her connection to this site and company itself. They just see that giant number at the top and their heart eyes for Gen dilate that much farther.
Amazon is an evil organization. I use it too, but it is evil. It just is. Amazon has put a lot of small businesses in the ground with their ability to charge less. I appreciate alternatives, and Bookshop is that, but Bookshop isn’t innocent. Even though they’re up-charging for books, remember how many extra people have to get their cut. This company boomed as it launched in 2020 and much profit has been made. And any time major profits are made…someone is getting exploited.
(It should also be noted that Gen’s link in bio also has her Amazon affiliate link. She doesn’t care which shifty brand is paying her, as long as she’s getting your money.)
I wonder what the people at the distribution warehouse get paid? How do authors make money? How much is the creator of Bookshop worth at this point in comparison?
Hey Gen, can you answer any of that?
Gen, wait!!
…I don’t think she wants to talk.

Hello, this is your Oldie Chinese Diaspora Anon™️ I came across this Anon (https://the-bjd-community-confess.tumblr.com/post/757452685040631808/im-surprised-acbjd-isnt-an-official-dealer-for ) and their question-to-the-aether, and I think I know the answer. It’ll most likely answer a few other questions that have been floating around here as well. At least I think so, anyhow… I’ll try!
For starters, let me introduce you to something called the Universal Postal Union (Union postale universelle, UPU. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Universal_Postal_Union). For something so archaic, it is actually the largest reason why a lot of things that we complain about are the way they are. Anything shipped and mailed internationally follows the rate set up by the UPU. According to these international rates, it’s much cheaper to send anything by mail from Asia to Europe or North America. And it’s more expensive to send from South Korea than it is from China. This is why it makes sense that dealers based in China are able to offer free shipping – shipping is cheap enough originating from China that the dealers can absorb that cost. This is also why dealers based in China rarely deal for any company that are not Chinese in origin. It means the dealers will have to eat twice the amount of shipping (from country of origin to China and from China to final destination). It’s usually too cost prohibitive to do something like that, unfortunately.
This also reminds me of the question posted by an exasperated Anon a while back (https://the-bjd-community-confess.tumblr.com/post/748048371225346048/its-hysterical-that-divas-doesnt-understand-how ). Now, here’s a bit of a disclaimer: this specific dealer had shafted yours truly as well. After waiting for 2 years for a body with jointed hands, I was informed earlier this year that it was lost in transit. It’s a most dissatisfying result to a very long wait, and even if I was refunded the whole purchasing price, it was still left me with some distaste. I just wanted to make sure that nobody thinks the OCDA™️ is taking sides or deliberately speaking ill of either side of the conversation. Please understand, that is never the intention.
America-based dealers, like the ones mentioned in these conversations, are dealing with the unenviable position of paying two different shipping fees. They are also at a great disadvantage when it came to the UPU rates – shipping from the US is among one of the most expensive around the world, not to mention tariffs and import taxes. This is why Canadian collectors are usually disadvantaged when buying from US collectors. Even in the case where the overall distance between seller and buyer is shorter, as long as a package crosses national lines, the tariffs become significant.
Commercial shipping is, unfortunately, a little more complicated than someone shipping directly to the end-user after all. Trying to save on shipping becomes something that dealers try to do. One way of doing it is to take in the price difference and defray it on to the buyers, which is another reason why certain dealers have astronomical shipping/handling charges. Using land/water shipping is also a little cheaper than flying. But here is where the other conundrum lies – When a container tilts or falls into the water it’s considered lost. Recovery is a herculean task and it usually means the cargo in there is considered junked anyway (more information here: https://maritime-executive.com/editorials/what-happens-when-containers-are-lost-at-sea ) For smaller companies (BJDs are classified as micro-companies), they need to share containers with other people. This is something that’s actually badly controlled in China due to corrupt bureaucracy (so, once again, without taking sides, the OCDA™️ can vouch for what these guys said in this post to be true: https://www.facebook.com/BJDivas/posts/pfbid02tL96kt9R6vw546CZhe4V8EW7Fx7qqhx9NGzWjozVtbnqadR8yank69spfYjtMkn1l ) What they didn’t mention is what happens when a container falls over. While each container is insured, the value of the cargo is based on “What’s the declared content” and not “everything inside”. Imagine if a container that is filled with mostly clothes and it keels over, the insurance payout is relatively low due to the nature of -most- of its cargo. In that case, both the shipper and the receiver (the Dealer, in this case) incurs huge losses – a loss that cannot be defrayed on the final customer because they never received what they paid for.
As the child of parents who were importers and wholesalers, these intricacies of international shipping were something of a constant nightmare for us. You can imagine my surprise when I realised that the Chinese dealer ships to me for free… I was used the family business ordering enough stock to fill half a 50’ container about 6-12 months prior to it arriving. It’s the part of doing business that folks don’t really spend too much time thinking of, but it can really be at somewhere between 1/10 to 1/4 of the final MSRP. (If everything went well, of course. Because that’s not always possible for many, many reasons.) All of this need money, which means for a micro-company, the shipping is even more expensive. This is why while the labour cost in China is indeed quite low, the reason for the high price is -not- because of that.
Of course, the OCDA™️ would like to stress that while shipping is very difficult, it doesn’t fully absolve the dealer mentioned by the Exasperated Anon. There are a lot more things that could be done in terms of communication and streamlining the process. There’s just nothing for it. I’d like to extend my sympathy to anyone who feels that they are wronged by this dealer; heaven knows, I am one of you, too.

WELL! It is time!
If any of you are interested, we are officially offering Fic Bundle commissions!
the price fluctuates depending on how long you want the fic to be, but the basic bundle is $50 and includes;
•2 fully rendered characters
•2 thousand words
This price can go down if you want 1k words, or if you only want one character, or can be increased if you want a longer fic (max 10k words) or more people / detail in the art.
Let’s get some questions I expect out of the way in quick bullet form:
•SFW only unless you’re an adult, in which case NSFW is subject to an extra fee. DM us to discuss this.
•You can get this of OCs or canon characters
•You can get this of basically any fandom. Yes even your little niche one
•Yes, we will do self ship stuff
•Yes, we will do “x reader” fic
•Yes we will write hurt/comfort, whump , sad fic, sick fic, vent fic, coffee shop AUs, the most disgustingly sweet fluff or probably whatever else you can think of.
•Art can be of Any scene you want to be important or of note in the story
Some things to keep in mind:
•we don’t know your OCs or every fandom. We will do research and will expect a personality explanation and a basic explanation of what you’d like plot wise / any key interactions you want
•you should probably buy this if you are not super picky about your fic and are confident in our abilities to provide you with what you want, the writing will only be able to have minor revisions- though you will be sent an outline prior to the fic being written for you to approve
I think that’s about everything. If you are interested, please DM us here or on discord @ hereticsys !
You can find a fully finished example here!
(It is cute art + fic of Raz and his husband :3c)

okay i'm gonna say some big important things here before i say them anywhere else. because i need to write them out Somewhere in a public space, i think, to get them out of my head and process them normally
commissions opening as soon as i fucking can. probably before the end of this week, if the election doesn't get to my head too much. for now only planning to do digital painting & custom dice commissions, will roll more out when i'm in a less pressing financial situation.
going to raise the goal again, from $1100 to $1400. i feel incredibly ashamed of myself for doing this, but visa fees and other things are really kicking my ass. this is just a vague approximation of how much i need in total to pay everything off & still have a comfortable amount of money to travel with. ko-fi doesn't add shop orders & commissions to the total count, to my knowledge, so it might be over quicker than it shows.
shop update early Feb. gonna be a pretty small one - a couple dice sets, some resin keychains, perhaps some more moth pins. sales have been really slow, but i still want to put more things out there. who knows? currently unfulfilled orders will be sent out early Feb, too, since i'll be getting my shipping money then.
back on the grind. rest is not an option. i can't be both well rested and happy. even if burnout eats me alive, i will die at least a little bit fulfilled.
