there’s a weird and hard to describe feeling ive been getting recently; the feeling of moving out of your first home. Not moving out of the house you were in as a kid, or moving out of your parents house. Not even moving out of a college dorm. But that first place that you signed your first lease at— the lease you pounced on because rent was cheap and it was close to where you needed to be.

This is the place you met your partner. You got your first pets at. The place that saw you graduate. The place that saw you join that club or group that changed your life. The place that saw parties, game nights, way too much alcohol, and way *way* too much draino. How in gods name a sink can clog so easily, you’ll never understand.

The first place you got to decorate. Not just your room, but the house. That whiteboard that was taped to a door in the dorms? it has a home on the wall. So does that lamp your grandma gave you, and that weird painting thing your roommate has. That couch you all got second hand from the frat boys you hung out with who lived down the street from you. The restroom sign someone somewhere got, then gifted one of you and you thought it would be funny to put up.

That first place you rent— with the shitty LED lights, the drafty windows, and flaky landlord special white paint. Moving out of that place is going to hurt. it hurts in the same way as loosing a friend, i think. This place that has seen some of my lowest points, and some of my highest. This place, that has seen so many of my firsts and milestones. One day, I won’t be able to come back. And even if I can, it wont be the same.

There will be a day when I step foot here for the last time, where this place is no longer mine. When *I* will no longer belong *here*. This place will continue to see so many firsts like the ones I had— having parents over for dinner, tripping breakers, kissing someone, hosting a party. This place has and will see these moments for so many people. To it, I’m a chapter in it’s history. A page in the story that started probably a hundred years ago, going until the building can’t stand anymore.

To me, it is everything. It is three years of my life when I was so scared, but so hopeful. Three years that have not been easy, but I’ve clawed my way through and survived so far. A piece of me will always live here, in some way.

I’ll think about nights in college, getting way too drunk and passing out on the living room floor. I’ll think of falling through a door after driving a state over and back in one go. I’ll think of late night talks, gaming sessions with friends. All nighters to do homework, putting presentations together. Those moments that I will treasure for as long as I exist, those will live here.

There will come a time where I won’t live here— where this will be a place I can’t return to. But there wont be a time where this place won’t feel like home. Like a warm blanket in my memory.

I am so excited for what is to come, but my heart breaks for what i can’t take with me. But that’s how I know this was good. How it was treasured.

You old, drafty house with your updated kitchen but really unfinished basement. With your closet doors and windows that don’t close quite right, and your charming little details that poke through that white chipped paint. With your squeaky floors, and those bathroom tiles burned into my brain.

I hope your bricks remember me as fondly as I remember them. I think I’ll always hold you in a special place in my heart.

Being someone who read Under The Red Hood and came out with the firm belief that, for Jason, it's not about killing Joker, it's about Jason wanting proof Batman would choose him over the Joker (bc shelia chose the joker). Makes seeing any other media where it's all about just wanting the Joker dead is a teeny bit frustrating. to be honest

Jason could've killed the Joker himself, really, really easily. Jason kidnaps the Joker before the confrontation. I can't open my comic for a reference right now, but it felt like he had the Joker for quite a bit before the confrontation. He had him. He beat him up with a crowbar. He had every single opportunity to kill the Joker himself, but he didn't because that wasn't his goal. Make no mistake, he did plan for the Joker to be dead by the end of it, but do you see what im trying to say here

It's not about making Batman kill either. When Batman says he won't kill, Jason adjusts and goes, 'Let ME kill the Joker or kill me to stop me' instead. The test is all about Batman choosing him. The whole final confrontation is Jason's first death again. The parent, The Joker, and the explosives. It even ends with Jason unable to move as a bomb goes off right next to him again because the parent didn't choose Jason. And instead tried finding an option that'd benefit them and (consequencely) letting the Joker walk, again, lol, lmao <-in agony

i. i just realised something about the kiss.

the way when aziraphale puts both of his hands on crowley's back, you can see them kinda shift so aziraphale isn't leaning. he held onto crowley for stability, and leaned in. pushed closer to him. he leaned forward. anyone ever says he didn't want the kiss im going to hunt you down because HE HELD CLOSE!!! HE KISSED BACK!!!!

Really stupid idea but can you imagine if the TVA swore Wade and Logan to secrecy and then they come back and everyone is so incredibly confused. Like? Wade, what the fuck? Who is Logan and why is he living with you and why does he look like a dead superhero?

Especially with the insinuation that the entire movie timeline spanned over a few days. So Wade goes from hopelessly pining after his ex to bringing home this buff, hairy, muscular guy to live with him without warning after disappearing from his birthday party.

Like he just randomly walked out the door after blowing out the candles, then he mysteriously reemerged with this feral look-don't-touch beast of a man. And he's calling him stupid pet names like "peanut" and "babygirl" and the guy isn't biting his head off?

When asked, Wade just responds that Logan was his best birthday gift ever. Logan's ears turn pink and he covers his mouth to hide the small smile on his face. Wade wraps an arm around his shoulder and grins. Meanwhile, everyone thinks Wade left his own party because of a hook-up call that somehow ended with him landing himself a boyfriend.

Ya'll want to know the funniest shit?

I'm researching the era when Alastor was alive right now to get a better idea of both his character, the life he lived before Hell, and to hash out a backstory for him.

And so, apparently, Alastor lived through the Prohibition (which was basically the United States government illegalizing the manufacture, transportation, and sale of alcohol because they thought it was the cause of a lot of domestic violence and child abandonment).

Alastor canonically died in 1933.

Do you know how long the Prohibition lasted?

From 1920-1933.

ALASTOR LITERALLY DIED THE SAME YEAR ALCOHOL BECAME LEGAL AGAIN. CAN YOU IMAGINE HOW BITTER HE MUST'VE BEEN?

The Prohibition officially ended on December 5, 1933, and now my headcanon is that Alastor died December 6, 1933. Literally the day after he could legally drink all the booze he wanted.

I am learning a LOT about New Orleans and the era Alastor lived through (including the gay community in the city at the time) which has been a lot of fun, and I just wanted to share that tidbit because it is so fucking funny to me.
