maybe its cuz im trying to write a fic but i keep thinking about how they communicate. like with the caveat of probable unreliable narrators yada yada yada... vale has marc getting either huffy and childishly petulant (mig interview) or straight up shutting down and going nonresponsive (2023 post all in interview) while vale is like. characterizing himself in BOTH as the a person with an active, confrontational role in the situation. like questioning marc about his intentions. i asked him what he was doing. the mean impression of their fight post-assen. while MARC is like well he had my number, he couldve called me before it happened! and he didnt! very much sort of like. well we had a relationship and a report that he ignored to unilaterally do this terrible thing to me. kind of an echo of each other, where they both blame each other for not being reasonable to talk it out. as if either of them would ever genuinely do that. idk to me. vale thinks marc is dismissive and callous to his feelings, and marc thinks vale destroyed their relationship in some sort of one-sided ego meltdown. and in some ways theyre both right !

the fact that i havent been able to find any eldritch horror stuff(aside from like one fic on ao3) written about the dark urge character yet is criminal. durge is quite literally a pureblooded child of a dead god and i cant stop thinking about it, but i cant really find anyone else exploring that in their writing. i love all the people writing their durges as just murdery little weirdos who have something severely wrong with them, but like...

give me a dark urge that no matter what shape they take, their form has teeth and claws befitting a predator. too-sharp teeth lurking behind a face not made to keep them, designed to shear through flesh and crack bone. give me a durge that's just plain unnerving to be around even beyond the murderousness and religious fanaticism that Bhaal's Chosen holds. Like, in silent rooms, if you listen carefully enough, faint whispers of the urges within their profane blood seep into the air—unintelligible but still undeniably present. A shadow that pools beneath their feet like the blood they leave in their wake. a constant scent of copper that follows them around, no matter how clean they are. Seeing them from the corner of your eye and for a split second you swear you saw tan hide and thick black horns.

A while back you made a post talking about yakumo and his sensitivity to temperature and I haven't stopped thinking about it. imagine when winter comes around and yakumo becomes progressively sluggish, usually staying in the kitchen and not leaving for hours, always making something near the stove to feel a little warmth from the flames or from a little taste of the things he's making (soup probably), or him picking up the habit of bundling himself up and staying in the library to read and nap. maybe when it starts getting even colder he barely leaves his room because its too uncomfortably cold for him, and if he does he's probably looking for eiden to help him warm up, but if eidens not around he gets antsy and looks for somebody else in the mansion, but he's too shy to ask and looks at whoever with his wet eyes so they know he's cold and wants a cuddle

*inhales deeply* ah yes. you understand. you envision it all so clearly. rightly so. gEt in the wAy, everybody, snake burrito walking the halls very very slowly!!!!!!! (i was about to say get OUT of the way but that would probably make yakumo colder so why not do him a favour and collide with him on your way to another room)
