ESO drives me nuts with the weird crown-only things.

For example (one of many), these rocks.

I planned an entire build on PTS using mossy boulders, without realizing that although my oft-visited friend Maladdiq stocks the left boulders in Vulkwasten,

the particularly-green mossy rocks on the right and bottom are crown-only.

UNLESS you happen to have the gold-purchased, Unfurnished version of Gorinir Estate. They're unbound.

ZOS why?

Btw if you have those on PC NA and aren't a weirdo like me who cares about rock color or random plants, I'd buy them for a reasonable price 💀 ~

P.S. Nope, other vendors definitely don't have these exact rocks. UESP is very comprehensive. But also, like I said: I'm a weirdo. And full of stupid knowledge about every plant and nearly every furnishing in the game and where they come from T_T

ESO Crown Crates Guide - How Do I Open Crown Crates in ESO

Crown Crates are item bundles obtainable from the Crown Store containing four or five collectibles and utility ESO Crown Store randomly chosen from a certain pool. Crown Crates are opened from the Crown Crate UI , which summons Pacrooti. Opening a Crate will result in Pacrooti dealing four cards, which can then be turned over to reveal your rewards. "Preview Crates" grant only three rewards.

What Happens If You Get Duplicate Items From Crown Crates In ESO?

If you obtain a duplicate item that you already own in the Crown Crates in ESO (The Elder Scrolls Online), then you will simply get rewarded with crown gems instead.

Duplicate Item Gems Amount:

132 Gems for Apex Rewards (Except Resplendent Sweetroll, which gives 400 Gems).

33 Gems for Legendary Rewards

13 Gems for Epic Rewards

5 Gems for Superior Rewards

1 Gem for Fine Rewards

1 gem for Common Rewards

To open your purchased Crown Crates, follow the process for your platform below:

PC/Mac

Navigate to the Crown Crates menu by pressing [F3].

Select the crates you wish to open and press [E].

Xbox

Navigate to the main menu by pressing [Menu].

Navigate to the Crown Crates option and press [A].

Select the crates you wish to open and press [A].

PlayStation

Navigate to the main menu by pressing [Options].

Navigate to the Crown Crates option and press [X].

Select the crates you wish to open and press [X].

Once opened, your new items will be automatically added to your inventory or collections, and any Crown Gems received will be added to your totals.

Gold is free in-game currency while Crowns cost the player real-world money. However, buying Crowns using gold does not mean a player is able to buy the Crown directly using Gold. It means that the player will be able to buy ESO Mythic Items from other players who are reliable in exchange for gold. so eso has had different purchasable assistants for years now, bankers and merchants and other services, nothing new. nothing i really cared to look into, until this week when they add this adorable banker. who is a dog. i am not immune to the charms of a cute fluffy dog.

for the first time i open the assistant tab of the store to see how much eri is, bc i've got 4500 crowns saved up! surely that's more than enough!

no this fucker's 5000 crowns. they all are.

do you know what else 5k crowns could get you

a full chapter (which includes an absolute fuckton of new content) is 3500 crowns.

a dlc (vaguely 3/4 the content of a chapter) is 2000.

a dungeon pack (much smaller but, still a decent amount of content you actively engage with) is 1500.

and the mere convenience of not having to take ten seconds to port to a city to use a bank is 5000.

which, mind you, is *$40*. for the exact same cost as an entire chapter and dlc together, you can get one (1) mildly convenient dog

With few exceptions (incl. this one temporarily), I currently don't use Home Tours. My houses are accessible on PC NA via the visit script, or search via addons: PTFH; EHT Housing Hub.

P.S. If anyone at ZOS somehow sees this, please bring Squire Caw back to the crown store soon. He's missing this October and the other corvids at the Court miss him terribly. It's just not complete without him ;_;
