hello! I just got around 30 posts about RedvsBlue in the last minute and now i’m very curious about this fandom you’re in. If you could bother with telling me a bit about it that would be great!
Red vs. Blue is an internet show that unexpectedly blew up in popularity. The show is character driven for the most part but becomes kind of bad after season 14, which is very good and the anthology. You have to watch seasons 1 through 14 in order otherwise nothing makes sense, a lot of stuff happens. Each of the episodes are 5 minutes long. The plot of the first 5 seasons is that there is a civil war between all of humanity following a war with aliens. The plot follows 2 teams, one on either side of the war, in a place called blood gulch. The entire story veers from this, because the show is character driven.
There are 5 seasons in the Blood Gulch Chronicles, 3 in The Recollection, 2 in Project Freelancer, 3 in the Chorus Trilogy and 1 in the Anthology.
And for the ones people don’t like that much, due to mischaracterization of practically everyone, going against preestablished canon, becoming plot driven in a character driven show, not bothering to humanize the background characters in any way that matters, something all of the seasons before did and is one of the core themes of the show, this really only applies to season 15 but I digress, and general dislike of the plot, we have
1 for season 15, 2 for the Shisno Paradox, 1 for zero.
Reminder that this is a comedy for the most part, and the plot, while being complicated, comes pretty slowly, and is based on jokes and plotlines that were in the Blood Gulch Chronicles, and written before anything else was even a concept.
The plot hinges on plot twists so i won’t spoil anything should you end up watching. And the mantra of anyone trying to get someone else to watch, “It gets better, I swear”

It's Chameleon Time, and I Don't Mean the Cool Lizard
I decided to watch Miraculous Season 3 Episode 1: Chameleon, the salt episode, because I suddenly decided I wanted to know how real the salt was again. Here's my thoughts:
Damn, Lila's good. She has backdoors for her lies and the only one I'd really call bad was the napkin one, but then again these are 14-15-year-olds in 2015-2016. They probably believe in the secret Grillby boss fight after beating Sans in genocide.
Despite being the two biggest targets for the salters, Adrien and Alya were incredibly chill here. Adrien was doing what he thought was best for the context and would defnitely change is mind if he heard Lila threatened Marinette, while Alya was one one most on Marinette's side. They're besties.
I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Marinette was just jealous of Lila at first until she threatened Marinette in the bathroom stall. Her grievances were more at Lila throughout the episode than what she was doing to the class.
Marinette, all you had to do was excuse yourself to the bathroom, transform, and explain the situation to Nino and Alya.
In general the closest thing to hostile the class was to Marinette was Kim and Mylene calling her out for throwing stuff at Lila (a major no-no there,) and a few moments where they all looked mad at her, probably because it would be cheaper instead of giving them all different reactions.
I have to wonder if a lot of the stuff Lila does in fics is real or not. I know she makes people do the work she doesn't want to do, but do future episodes showcase her as a con artist like in the fics? It wouldn't be surprising, at the very least.
Did anyone seriously believe Chameleon's ruse as Adrien? It's like she was trying to be horrible. I could do a better job at both lying to appeal to the class and posing as Adrien.
If Lila continues to be as evil as I think she's gonna be, I hope she gets turned into a clam more often even though I know that won't happen.
So yeah, that was the salt episode. Here's my beliefs on how the class views Lila with one bonus:

I have been enjoying your live blogs immensely even though i myself don't have enough context for late late seasons. Since you've been going through it recently, I am curious to know how you view early s13 episodes that get called "widower arc" by d/c shippers. They really bring it as the proof that Dean CANNOT live without Cas, while he can move on from Sam but now that I'm reaching there, I'm a bit confused 'cause Dean lost more than just Cas at end of s12? I would love to know your thoughts on this part of the show because I still get a bit of anxiety about watching any further...
hello beloved anon omg i'm so pleased someone is getting something out of my liveblogging <3 haha. sorry it took me a little while to get to this - it feels like actually forever since i watched 12/13 and i'll admit right now that i was not watching them with my full focus. so take that into consideration haha
but okay i would not worry about watching further. the show does not suddenly become a destiel fest in late late seasons - if anything i feel like it's this strange combination of "ah shit we should do something with castiel" and "we can't actually think of anything to do with castiel" so he's THERE, but like, irregularly. and while NOW, in 15 (maybe also late 14? they blur) there is starting to be some "ok they're setting up for cass to have confirmed romantic feelings for dean" it's very much... uh... in the background. genuinely doing my best to be objective and use neither my wincestie goggles OR my destiel-hater goggles but silly domestic brothers are definitely still at the forefront and i assume that will remain the same up to the finale.
as for a widower arc... um, well, again my memories of early s13 are not super crystal clear. i actually had to go back and rewatch a little to remind myself what was going on because i forgot cass even died then lol. you know where my focus is. but like you said anon dean lost so much at the end of 12 and like, in general that whole season was kind of a headwreck. i think he was already in a bad place and then lost yet another person that had been in his life long-term. we KNOW dean doesn't do well losing anything that's been in his life for a while which makes complete sense given, you know, his life. lol. he's cut up about cass because he has lost yet another friend. nothing about it suggests "widower" to me - ESPECIALLY not compared to how he "coped" whenever he lost sam. again, trying my best to be objective but i don't see it, lol. i think it's a fanon interpretation that suits the ship, which is fine if you're into it but if you're not - like, i wouldn't be watching it going "god damn, i wasn't a destiel believer before, but dean is clearly grieving him like a widower! the scales have fallen from my eyes! deancas forever" lmao
also, like, when they ARE reunited the response is kind of tragically one-sided dkfjgh. dean is happy to have him back clearly but their relationship settles down again very fast and dean goes back to like. uh. what i personally can't read as anything other than viewing cass as one or two shades more important than like, the family dog. SORRY i know that's harsh and they are friends. but their interactions are so sparse and dean is so unbothered lately lmao which you cannot convince me is down to repression. he just has other priorities!!!! (sammy)
okay i hope this wasn't too incoherent. don't worry about watching further!! there are tangents like there have been for the last like, 10 seasons but all in all. it's brothers front and centre forever. and there are enough sweet moments imo to keep you going even when the show is not so good (been saying this to myself since like, s7. if i can do it anyone can do it). just think of the 14x12 hug. all things are possible through the power of the 14x12 hug

The Magnus Archives 4- Page Turner
I think it's been a week since the last one of these. That is mostly because I was preparing for the season 2 premiere of my own show, Small Victories, and that took up quite a bit of time, wouldn't you know it.
But now I'm back and ready to bite into a new (to me), delightful, and hopefully scary episode of TMA.
00:00- Skipping the ads
00:30- I lied, I actually am listening to this ad for an actual play podcast. I want to, eventually, produce an actual ply podcast because people get a heck of a kick out of it, I have friends who love D&D and I think it'd be fun to make a show they'd really enjoy, but I don't really "get it" so I'm looking for ones to listen to. Recommend any if you have them.
01:21- Oh, we just jumped right in. Usually there are 3 minutes of ads.
01:39- I love an orchestral score. It sounds so polished. I just love scores.
02:00- I think in the winter of 2012 I was studying for the FCATS (a deep cut for all you folks who aren't from Florida)
03:14- I think, as a rule, all weird things should happen to actors because I feel they are more equipped to handle the strange than Paul the accountant from Danville, IL, you know what I mean?
04:18- Oh, it's bound in human skin. Calling it!
05:18- All Latin? I bet he wished he joined the priest hood (or was a Classics major).
05:55- Oh, buddy boy there are plenty of people who buy books with no intention of reading them.
06:47- Oh no! He sounds like me!
08:11- Oh, he's a Shakespeare boy. I wonder which role he was.
12:08- Okay, I'm genuinely curious as to what exactly is the books deal. They've got me. A magical/cursed book is what really scratches me. Maybe it's because I know that I ~as a writer~ would probably get pulled in the same way.
13:06- A cursed book that pushes you to madness feels perfectly Grecian. Or at least a little Arthurian.
16:30- I don't know if it's because I'm actually quite tired, but the narration is so soothing. I feel like I'm about to flutter off to dream land. This would be great for bedtime stories (excluding, of course, the vague atmosphere of eeking horror)
21:55- Don't answer the door!
22:00- NEVER ANSWER THE DOOR!
22:15- Oh, he's a goner.
22:23- Okay, so personal hygiene isn't high on the list, but that's not necessarily terrifying.
22:52- Yeah, sell that book. Just sell it and mind your business like that bloke with he coffin in his apartment. Get rid of it and mind your business.
25:04- Woah, this feels way longer than the other episodes. I think the extra time does the stories well.
25:33- I wonder what they used to give the underscoring that spooky wind tone. Does anyone know?
26:03- Light that poppet on fire! Get rid of it!
27:02- Honestly, I kind of love Johnathan the pissed off archivist. You pissed him off Gertrude! Prepare for his wrath!
28:51- I feel like Jared will make him self known again further along.
29:00- Okay, I am proper curious about how these things all run together and also if the creators knew beforehand how this was going to go or if it was more organic.
I think "Do Not Open" is still my favorite one out of the bunch so far. I think that scenario was much more chilling to me than the others, but I will say this piqued my curiosity which is a fun time.

"BOJACK HORSEMAN" SEEN FROM PSYCHOANALYTIC CRITICISM

Bojack Horseman (2014). Sigmund Freud's reflections on psychoanalysis and human behavior have always been considered curious and controversial —to say the least. On his book, Introduction to Psychoanalysis (1916), he first talks about this idea that enforces us to believe that the origin of the individual unconscious lies on the notion humans have of where all their pain come from: this place being experiences and emotions, fears and sick desires that never really have a chance to come out. (page 12, Tyson L., 2015.) The psyche becomes the through key to understanding where it all begins, how it develops, and why it is so hard to make it stop.
Bojack Horseman —an animated Netflix series that walks us through the life and struggle of a burn-out TV star on Hollywood, that gets constantly involved in drama, suicidal idealism, alcoholism and many more (very harmful) isms, is not only a story that critics the entretainment industry, but also takes its time to destroy its main character by giving it the most profound, raw and rotten wounds one can find in their own unconscious. 
“One day you’re gonna look around and realize that everybody loves you but nobody likes you. And that is the loneliest feeling in the world.” From B. H. Season 3, Episode 5.
Along the story, we see Bojack and various other characters around him get dragged into uncomfortable situations as a consequence of Bojack's unfortunate —and egotistical— decision making. His past experiences with various losses and heavily repressed family trauma have broken him to the point he’s become a selfish, narcissistic individual, that even when he tries to be good, he can’t seem to find in himself any kindness to give out to the world. The self-definition Bojack internalized of his persona as he grew up, led him to hate his own mind and actions the same way he used to hate and avert from his mother and father’s relationship towards him, and each other. (page 14, Tyson L., 2015.) 
“All the damage I got isn’t good damage. It’s just damage.” From B. H. Season 6, Episode 2.
Not recognizing where all the damage that he’s gotten has come from only keeps him on reliving the same cycle of abuse, depression and chaos that plagues his life and the ones of those around him. Until one can not acknowledge the root of our deep unresolved conflicts, we’re doomed to live in despair, feeling no longer worthy of being considered even humans. Bojack’s selective perception and memory reflect from his trauma, and in a way protects hi, from it, guiding him to a life full of denial and a constant feeling of displacement. (page 15, Tyson L., 2015.) 
Only when he starts to recognize, remember and share everything he’s gone through, is that he finally starts to heal. But sometimes, healing is just not enough, and for him, the thanatos (page 22, Tyson L., 2015) consumes his heart little by little, regret by regret, sins and mistakes crawling on his back as he tries to enmed them on a daydream of repentance. His relationship with death is an inharmonious one, that comes from guilt and tastes like old cigarettes and cheap liquor, the same bitter way they would taste to a child that’s been forced to try them.

Where did we go wrong? When is it too late? Is there any way for anyone to really be saved?
It might be a good idea to start with taking a look at the terrifying parts of ourselves we’re too scared to even meet.
And maybe then, we should all think about how meaningless everything turns out to be,
 when you finally realize that there is no other side.

Despite my current obsession with my Miraculous Tentobug!AU, my own little Sailor Moon/Digimon!AU is always at the back of my mind - and as I have basically four potential seasons of content outlined in my head, with my favourite ship becoming endgame, I thought about doodling some of my favourite scenarios. (I will outline these in more detail below the cut, as I have thought-dumbed the general ideas before, but if anyone feels curious, I’ll be happy to talk more about it! 
Season 1, flashback, first meeting at football club; ages 11/10.
Season 1, Taichi’s awakened, Koushirou isn’t, Taichi attempts to keep his identity hidden, but is trying to investigate some mysterious USB-stick (with brainwashing software) by asking his favourite computer ace; highly influenced by Sailor Mercury’s awakening episode (”You should know that I have no idea how to use a computer”); ages 14/13.
Season 1, Taichi struggles to identify and act as a leader upon getting called out by Yamato about it, but Koushirou believes in him without a shred of a doubt; highly influenced by the heart-to-heart between Makoto and Ami before facing off Endymion to protect Ryo, also the infamous Adventure gate opening episode (“I have always believed in Taichi-san”) and the famous novel scene (”You’re too soft to be a leader”); ages 14/13.
Season 1, last call before their final battle, reassuring each other on the phone, with Yuuko having some interesting assumptions about why her son has been using his phone so often lately; highly influenced by the girls contemplating their life choices in the second last episode of season 1 before dying; ages 14/13.
Season 2, upon losing their memories after dying and resetting the timeline, Taichi is the first to re-awaken and tries to make the others remember as well - but doesn’t reach through to Koushirou at all, who completely shuts himself off, refusing to even accept any of his “alleged” friends to get any closer, subconsciously rejecting the idea of having “several identities”; highly influenced by Mamoru’s memory loss in season 2/R, with Usagi attempting to making him remember; also influenced by Koushirou’s Ultimate episode, causing him to reject his inquisite heart; ages 15/14.
Season 2, them eventually reuniting after Koushirou finally regains and embraces his memories, highly influenced by the reunion of Usagi and Mamoru in the final episode of the tree arc in season 2; ages 15/14
Season 3, upon showing symptoms of awakening herself, Hikari collapses and Taichi blames himself for it, as he assumes to be the one who awakened her due to a chain reaction, so he confesses his fears to Koushirou, who accompanies him in the waiting room of the hospital, attempting to soothe him; highly influenced by Hotaru collapsing and getting brought to the hospital by Usagi, Ami and Chibiusa in season 3/S; also highly influenced by Taichi confessing to Koushirou that Hikari had almost died because of him once in Adventure; ages 16/15
Season 4, upon getting nightmares about his companions dying again if he can’t protect “what is most important to him”, Taichi keeps isolating himself from the group and demands Koushirou to stay back to take care of Hikari instead of fighting alongside him to (over-)protect him, being in denial over his confusing feelings, resulting in them fighting over it; highly influenced by Taichi’s general attitude towards Koushirou during their final fight agains Piemon in the last arc of Adventure; also influenced by Mamoru’s nightmares about Usagi dying if he keeps being together with her, as well as Rei’s general prophecies (especially in season 3/S); ages 17/16
Season 4, them making up at the school festival’s dance party as Taichi finally decides to apologize, talking about being honest with each other, so Koushirou finally decides to confess being adopted to Taichi (and that that may have been the reason why he couldn’t have gotten his memories back, having been confronted with it immediately before their first final fight), whose first reaction is to reassure him, almost stumbling over his own heart; highly influenced by the school dance episode in season 4/SuperS of Sailor Moon; ages 17/16.
Season 4, them actually “casually” dancing with each other during the same evening (after defeating their enemy together, realizing that they’re no good when they’re apart), no confessions are being made here yet, but they feel a lot more comfortable and open towards each other; highly influenced by the MakoAmi dance in the episode mentioned above in season 4/SuperS; ages 17/16.
Season 4, upon Taichi getting brainwashed and captured by their enemy, Koushirou decides that Taichi is actually “what is most important to him” and opens the gate to get through to him; highly influenced by the Nehelenia mirror arc in season 5/Stars; ages 17/16.
Season 4, Koushirou trying to reach through to Taichi in his brainwashed state, going so far as to drop the honorific; highly influenced by Usagi trying to get through to Mamoru being brainwashed in season 5/Stars; ages 17/16.
Season 4, the eventual reunion - and a first step towards a wordless, mutual confession; highly influenced by all your favourite cheesy fantasy romance tropes; ages 17/16.

which tmags episode should i most be looking forward to?
oh god, what a question. all of them. all of the episodes.
or. more realistically (i guess 🙄🙄🙄) on your first listen through, there are really two categories that matter: interesting statement episodes, and interesting plot episodes.
these categories aren't mutually exclusive, obviously, but i'm going to point out which is which, in case you're curious which episodes i think are good, and which i think are relevant. or... relevant to the season 1 plot. fun fact, i think 11 of the first 40 episodes are directly relevant to the plot later down the line, and 25 of the 40 episodes are referential enough to something that happens in the future as to be satisfying to recognize as you listen. but i'm not giving you a list that long, so, we're gonna stick to some key highlights.
also we're sticking with season 1, because genuinely my list of "favorite" tma episodes is like 100 of the first 160. which i don't think is really helpful. also even with just season 1, i will admit i... might have gotten carried away.
11. Dreamer - literally stan my boy. "why? what's so special about antonio blake?" don't ask questions, just stan him. he's hot and mysterious and just wants to be helpful.
14. Piecemeal - sorry that this episode is funny and cool and amazing and interesting and i think about it all the time. like it's my fault.
15. Lost John's Cave - this is an iconic episode. genuinely, i don't know that i've spoken to anyone who's listened to tma that doesn't point to lost john's cave when discussing episodes that fucked them up a little. a lovely experience <3
17. The Boneturner's Tale - second special boy alert. you should look forward to this episode because i like jared and want people to pay attention to him. literally what more reason do you need.
18. The Man Upstairs - okay well i have a thing about meat. episodes that reference meat make me feel things that no other episode can. this is my dream apartment living situation btw.
19/20. Confession/Desecrated Host - "wow, vinnie, this is a lot of episodes basically all in a row" that's just how it is sometimes. this is what you get for asking me about episodes you should look forward to. ANYWAYS, Father Edwin Burroughs is so special to me, and i'm obsessed with religion in horror, and also i <3 parallels that are more obvious after you've listened to the show at least once.
22. Colony - teehee what if you were listening to a horror podcast, and i was listening to a horror podcast, and it hinted at having a plot 😳😳😳
26. Distortion - special girl and special... uh. i don't think he has a gender. but two special characters! and plot, literally what more could you ask for.
27. A Sturdy Lock - this episode rules, and i'm only sometimes paranoid about it when i close my door at night <3
28. Skintight - stan melanie and jon's fun hatemanship or else.
29. Cheating Death - i think everyone should love death whenever it deigns to take on an anthropomorphized form. we don't have to discuss why it's deigning to do so, here, or whether "deigning" is even the correct word choice at all. stan death.
32. Hive - hehehehehehehe
34. Anatomy Class - i own a shirt that references this episode. literally the anatomy class has done nothing wrong, ever, in their life. my fun goodtime episode full of laughs and love and found family. :)
36. Taken Ill - i love sickness and disease and death and dying and the mistreatment of the elderly. this episode makes me want to scream and cry and throw up if i think about it for too long btw. for standalone reasons, and for other reasons :)

40. Human Remains - :)
the fact that i'm highlighting 17 of 40 episodes as standout episodes does make me feel like a first year college student who just got their first set of highlighters, but doesn't actually understand how to find key points in a text while listening to a lecture, btw. but i am what i am. i can not change this <3

Not that anyone asked, but this is my ranking for all the episodes in season 4 lol.
I’m genuinely curious how many people would have similar favorites or would be just plain confused by some of my rankings.
I already talked about why Wishmaker and Risk are my top two in another post. They had the most jaw dropping moments for me. And naturally, Strikeback is high up there along with them.
Glaciator 2 is 4th - even above Gabriel Agreste - because I’m absolute Marichat trash. And in this episode, their relationship really progressed and they had their umbrella scene. I love it. Also the way Bryce Papenbrook made Cat Noir cackle was the funniest thing ever.
I know a lot of people cringed at Rocketear and Psycomedian, but Rocketear had me gasping the entire episode, especially when he leaked his secret identity to Adrien and trashed Cat Noir to his face. And as for Psycomedian, Harry Clown’s relationships with Marinette and Gabriel (GABY!!) were fantastic, and its light-heartedness reminded me a lot of a season 2 episode. (You can read my posts on these. I’ll link them in the ranking.)
Lies is also high up here because you get such a good taste of how Adrien sees himself and Kagami was the epitome of how everyone else views Adrien. Plus, the fact that he still had the beaded lucky charm was such a great plot point I was not expecting.
I also know many people were aggravated by Ephemeral, but it was such an entertaining episode for me, and the scene with Marinette revealing herself is beyond adorable (I’ll link my whole post on it in the ranking).
It might also be surprising that Simpleman and Dearest Family are higher than Hack San, but they’re filler episodes that made me laugh so hard. I’M surprised by the amount of people that overlook Simpleman. It’s hilarious. Scarabella was cute in Hack San and Marinette smacking Hack San with a frying pan was funny, but the rest of the episode was just a no-go for me. Cat Noir trying to cataclysm Alya was pretty awful.
Episodes 21-26 are pretty forgettable for me. I liked Cat Walker, I liked seeing Chloe with her hair down, I enjoyed the commentary in Penalteam, and I enjoyed Zoe bonding with Marinette and Andre, but that’s about it. Every other part of those episodes are just…no.
I wanna see what you guys thought of this season! Overall, I thought it was a pretty great season. (Although, I think season 2 is still my favorite out of all of the seasons.) This is my personal list and I judged it a lot based on my reactions, the plot in the episode, and how many times I watched them.

I calculated big time rush showverse character ages throughout the show because I couldn’t focus on my english assignment why not?
Actually came up with this awhile back (cause now I am done with my spring semester of school!) so I thought I’d share this in case anyone else was curious!
This is based off of:
Character birthdays listed on the Big Time Rush Wiki page
Lucy is the exception to this rule because her birthdate is listed as “unknown”. I used Melise/Malese Jow’s real birthday and her age reveal in “Big Time Rocker” to calculate.
Episode release dates
Ages are taken from first episode, middle episode(s), and last episode of each season. Also added their ages from the movie as well.
“If the actor/actress is younger, chances are the character in the show is older and vice versa”
For example: Carlos and Logan are the youngest members of BTR Showverse, but the oldest members of BTR band.
I guess you can say that Camille is an exception to this, because Camille is on the younger end of the showverse group/Erin is one of the youngest amongst the cast.
Disclaimer: I... am not smart. So please don’t berate me if this is wrong, cause let’s be real: it probably is lmao. I did have to play the guessing game with Jo and Lucy’s age. I kinda labeled each season like US public high school grades. Grades are listed for Lucy and Katie, as they are the oldest and youngest of the group respectively. Also brackets around a character’s name means that they weren’t introduced in the show yet.

Okay, it took me some time to find, but is this the one you mean? (Link is under the cut)
Because yes, he not only would, he does. It’s very important to him to show on which side he stands. He made homosexuality mandatory for one third of the population once, and he loves drama and attention. The only difference is that he doesn’t like to wear the tie, he prefers the bow-tie, if you want I can find a photo of it, he spills cocoa on it a lot and I sometimes clean it then!

Since the whole 666 and then 669 69 days before Halloween, I can't stop thinking about it. I never had a Halloween. What does one... do? I know it has something to do with sweets and dressing up. Should I dress up? I KNOW it's August but... I know the Interviewer dressed up as a Vampire last year. Any suggestions? For everyone, of course, I need inspiration

Random Notes from a 4:30AM Rewatch of the Front-y Parts of Who Do You Think You Are?
1) It makes me sad that Heather Button was ninety-nine years old and entirely alone. 
2) So, Humphrey seems to have full control of his body when his head is perched in it’s precarious proper position at his neck (as we see in episode 6 of both seasons), partial control when they’re in direct contact (this episode, he tells his body to lift him up and it starts to before dropping him), and no control whatsoever when they’re apart (see all of the ‘over-here’s when Humphrey and his body are in the same episode). 
3) But Humphrey wouldn’t have needed to have to tell his body to lift him up if literally anyone taller than his decapitated neck and shoulders had let him stand in front. 
4) I love the hanging? ...mural? Whatever it is on Heather Button’s wall. I kind of wish modern home decor was still like that. 
5) I love how Heather Button didn’t bother to stick around to let Thomas finish his sentence. 
6) And none of them bother to stick around to let him finish his poem, except Humphrey’s head, which got ditched.
7) You know what I’d like? I copy of the Button House floor plans, with notations on who sleeps in which bedrooms. I still can’t keep the interior floor plan straight and I’m curious as to where the ghost bedrooms (well, besides Cap’s Fanny’s and Kitty’s, which we know) are placed in the house.
8) I enjoy that Ben Willbond is nearly too big for that bed. His head is at the headboard. His feet are at the footboard.  
9) Do y’all know how excited I’d be if I inherited a house with that many old books in it? Can you imagine what that room smells like? I bet it’s magnificent. 
10) I feel like I’ve never seen a gatehouse on this show?
11) I just think Pat’s really adorable in the bit where he suggests they try haunting.
12) I’m a little bit alarmed that Mike decided to use the garden tap water to make tea without first tasting it himself...
13) I love the way Cap says ‘None of those are plural, but...’ It’s like he made his voice sound a little extra-refined when he did it. 
14) I just realized that Jemima appears to be holding a little rag doll and now I’m sad again. It’s just always blended into the wraps on her arms to me.
15) I love how Cap asks Kitty is she’s finished after she interrupts him for her little pep-talk rather than snapping at her.
16) It might just be things bunching and/or draping weirdly in their haunting scene, but do we think the Captain has anything in his pockets?

Athens City Academy of the Performing Bards

Warrior... Princess
The fire-connected assassin being a slob. When Xena arrives at Princess Diana’s castle, it’s early morning. A killer almost immediately attacks her but has to run away for his life. He comes back late at night, just as dirty and burned as he was when he left. …Why? And not only that, his clothes that were on fire are perfectly intact while his forehead, which did not catch fire, is not. XD

Xena being RIDICULOUSLY unobservant. She looks straight ahead, doesn’t see anything out of the ordinary, and so turns her head to look elsewhere. Marcus crouches a whole six inches down and then spots Gabrielle in mortal danger. …Feet away from them. …With nothing to block their view between them and the wabbit. XD XD XD What even, Xena?

I cannot BELIEVE I forgot to include this moment in the original post. It got me gooooood. Yes, the setup is a bit predictable, but… just… the townspeople’s hands are still up in the air like they’re riding a rollercoaster that disappointingly malfunctioned right before the big drop! XD The main lady’s faaaaace!!! She was even better than the roommate’s girlfriend in “Big Daddy.” XD XD XD (Video clip here in case the picture isn’t enough for you to know what I mean.)

Altared States
A hilariously adorable moment rather than straight comedy, from Xena of all people. The way she’s sitting, holding Gabrielle, and tilting her head to look at the wabbit reminds me so much of a little kid who’s wondering what’s wrong with her dolly. Hee!

What can I say? I couldn’t ignore Goofy Gabby completely, could I? And this scene isn’t often referenced or noted, so it fits! XP Just look at her blunt-stabbing whatever critter might be under the pillow. She reminds me of an outtake of Ren repeatedly “stabbing” a stunt guy with a toy sword (seen here if so desired). heheheh But part of the real gold here is how poor, weakened Anteus is just so confused. heheheheh

Hm, this was more fun and easier than last time. Woohoo! 
But, alas, it is the end of an era. No more FFLMs or MFLMs for the foreseeable future. And absolutely no one has commented on my posts in several weeks, so I don’t even know what you guys think of my work or want. *sad* Ah well. 
The one suggestion I got elsewhere for my hundredth (next) post was to make cracksubs for “Lyre, Lyre, Hearts on Fire.” I think that’s a good idea because I’ve been wanting to do another cracksubs post for a while now and don’t like LLHoF. ’Twas a similar case with the last one I did but that led to a deep, abiding love of “Them Bones Them Bones.” heheheh

My How I Met Your Mother Thoughts
I just spent the last nine seasons in New York with the gang that spends all their time in MacLaren’s Pub. SELF FIVE! I have to say, this binge of How I Met Your Mother brought me so much happiness. I started watching this show for the first time back in high school, and I ended up watching the last six seasons as they aired. I remember loving this group of characters, and now I am reminded why. There’s so much chemistry between the five, and it makes for one of my favorite Comedies/Sitcoms of all time. If you’ve read any of my previous Show Thoughts, then you know I’ve been watching several over the course of this lovely Pandemic That Will Just Keep Going. After this rewatch, I’ve decided HIMYM is my third favorite Comedy/Sitcom, right after Boy Meets World and Scrubs.
Now, I know that the Finale is infamous. It’s in the Mount Rushmore of Terrible Endings, and people end up getting a sour taste in their mouth when they bring up the show. Well, it’s been some years. There’s been time to reflect and look back. And, while I’m not in favor of the Finale, I also don’t hate it anymore with the passion of a thousand suns. I just loved watching and growing with the gang, seeing them experience their highs and their lows, their triumphs and their failures. It just hits harder as an adult, like most of these shows assuredly do, and I cherish so many of these episodes and moments.

And now, just some thoughts on the show and on the gang!
Ted - I know people don’t like Ted. I don’t actually like Ted all that much. And yet, I found myself rooting for Ted just like I did the first go around. He’s not the worst person in the world, and I would be scared to see half of the decisions we’ve made in the dating game stringed together into a TV show. I know people wouldn’t like me very much for those decisions. Then again, I also don’t get super crazy about details about buildings, I don’t pronounce encyclopedia that way, and he tends to stick his foot in his mouth with this White Man confidence that I just don’t have. With all that being said, I still find Ted being a great friend, a man who is just trying to find the love of his life, and someone who really drives this story with great tales and narration (Bob Saget is the Sixth Man of the Show for just always bringing it). I think Ted does stupid things and he pretty much admits it after the fact. He learns, sometimes, and also doesn’t much like most of us. When he finally found the Mother, when he finally found Tracy, I cared. I cared so much, and I still do. Even though they just shit on her character and don’t give us enough time with her, I almost wonder if that’s a metaphor for the fact that you won’t always have enough time with your loved ones.
Robin - Let’s go to the mall! Yeah! Robin Sparkles is a Canadian Treasure, and so is Robin Scherbatsky. She is one of the best things about this show, and I love her so. Played by Cobie Smulders who I need to see in more stuff, Robin is who we all wanted Ted to maybe be with first. Then we go through all the loops of the HIMYM roller coaster, and a lot of us still wanted them to be together. I was one of them. Yet, she was more than just a romantic plot line for Ted. She was a part of the group who we got to see join it and evolve into a member of their family organically. Robin is fun, loud, full of fun quirks that we get to learn over the course of the series. I was heartbroken when we found out she can’t have children. I was loving the back and forth between her and Barney (the first time), and kind of mad at Barney about being such a crazy ass prankster the second time. Robin shows us just how amazing some gun loving, hockey obsessed Canadian news anchor can be, and how much she cares for her friends.
Lily - Justice Aldrin ends up being one of my favorite characters, even if that gets some curious looks. Yeah, she left Marshall for a summer. Yeah, she had some hesitancy with the marriage and everything. That happens. Lily was also always there for her friends, even if she ends up going a little overboard. She wants Ted to find happiness, and does whatever she can to help. She is there to listen to Robin at all times, and her and Marshall are easily one of the best relationships in TV I’ve ever witnessed. Then we have Lily and Barney which is honestly super underrated. Barney trusts Lily, even though she can’t keep a secret, with all of his emotional problems. Lily is who thought Barney could change before anyone else, and I love seeing their friendship grow from eye rolls to eye tears.
Barney - Oh, Barney. He honestly brings so much annoyance and fun to the show. He’s the friend of the gang who everyone tolerates. He’s the one in the gang who everyone ends up loving just as much as everyone else. Barney shows such a terrible face to the world, sleeping with over 250 women and lying to most of them. He has all these rules that aren’t very ethical. He gives us most of the Misogynism in this show, which is definitely prevalent and makes the show not as strong as it was in the first watch. Still, we get to see Barney grow into someone who wants real love and a happy life. Sure, they show us that his marriage to Robin only lasts three years, but at least they tried. Barney just couldn’t make it work, and that’s honestly who Barney really is. A person who just enjoys sleeping with different people. I was very warmed to see the baby reveal and that Barney becoming a dad was what would change him more than anything. Barney is an underrated friend, and his importance to the gang is legendary.
Marshall - I. Love. Big Fudge. He’s just so fun, caring, goofy, loyal, and everything that I aspire to be in life. For some reason, when watching the show the first time, I related to Ted the most. I was definitely a bit more selfish then. But now, I see that I am a Marshall. He wants to do good in the world, and it drives him so much. He only loves Lily, and his loyalty to their relationship is just Goals. He is also the most fun to watch having a crisis. He gets the big eyes and covers his mouth and just gets obviously super uncomfortable. Some of my favorite moments of the show are also Marshall’s talks with Ted about his feelings for Robin. Any one-on-ones with Marshall and someone else are probably my favorite moments. And yes, I will always root for him over those damn machines!
Last Thoughts:
Sure, the writing wasn’t as sharp or as witty in the later seasons, but I loved the story lines and seeing the gang just live.
Tracy was an amazing character as The Mother, and I truly wonder what could have been if they had given us two full seasons of story with her instead of any episodes of Jeannette.
I really can’t believe Ted told his kids all those stories. A fun premise for a show, but really, not very realistic telling them all that jazz.
Ranjit and Carl are such fun recurring characters that I always enjoyed seeing every time they popped up.
Out of all the recurring jokes and gags, which there are many (y’all said Community has so many, but HIMYM really swings for it), I love the Major/General salute joke. Idk if I just didn’t care for it the first time around or forgot about it, but I just love how silly it is and how they kept it through to the very last episode.
Watching the gang sit at their table in MacLaren’s just hanging out will always make me smile.

hello beloved anon (whose name may or may not begin with "L"), thank you for the splendid request. I shall provide my answers under a "keep reading" out of courtesy, hopefully it works.
1. first anime you ever watched
Naruto. my brother and I encountered it one day while scrolling channels when I was about 6 or 7 I believe; I was fascinated by how different it was from the cartoons and shows I was used to.
2. first anime crush
I wouldn't really say I've ever had a crush on an anime character, but I'm a big fan of maka from soul eater.
3. favorite anime character
I thought about this a lot while making my fav characters list, and it is probably maka again.
4. least favorite anime character
This one's kinda tough, but I think I'll have to go with the main character from Alien Nine, Yuri Otani. I don't necessarily dislike her in terms of personality but I feel like she spends 70% of the show crying which made her very unpleasant to listen to. Alternatively any weirdly horny character could also go here.
5. list all anime you have ever watched
I have currently seen 211 shows so I shall refrain from making this that long. Though, if anyone is truly curious I do have each one listed and organized by my personal rating in a google doc that I can share.
6. popular anime you didn’t like
Made in Abyss. Really cool concept and decent visuals/music, but I often felt worse after watching an episode than I did before, it almost borders on torture p*rn at times.

This one is also quite tough, I sometimes see a little bit of myself in characters but usually there isn't a ton of similarity. Though I did take a quiz a while ago that said I was similar to Uncle Iroh from avatar and I was very pleased with that answer.

A tie between Renge Miyauchi from non non biyori and Naru Kotoishi from Barakamon.
10. favorite anime animal sidekick
Not technically an animal but Matsumoto from Vivy: Fluorite Eyes' Song was pretty good. Can't think of many off the top of my head honestly.
11. anime you didn’t expect to like but did
Nichijou. I actually stopped watching it the first time I tried thinking it was just generic cute stuff, but now it's unquestionably my favorite anime of all time.
12. anime that should get more attention from others
Mononoke. Super cool visuals and fairly interesting little stories.
13. funnest anime you have watched
Another difficult question, there are a few different ways I think a show can be fun (visually, plot twists, rapid action, etc.). But since it has all the things I just mentioned, I think I'll have to go with The Tatami Galaxy

Probably Plastic Memories, very similar to the movie I Want to Eat Your Pancreas.

I don't ever really full on sob because of shows, but the scene in Madoka Magica where they face off against the orchestra witch who is a character I won't spoil definitely made me tear up. Still love that scene.

As previously mentioned I think I was like 6 or 7 and I suppose you could say my brother introduced me to it.
23. unpopular character you love
I don't know if I have a good answer for this one as I'm not too sure which characters are and are not popular, but I feel like Adamant or Kongo-sensei from Houseki no Kuni is somewhat underappreciated

Was never fond of Black Star from Soul Eater.
25. anime you would recommend to someone who hates anime
Either Cowboy Bebop or FMA Brotherhood usually seem to please people who aren't usually into anime.

There are a couple, but Shimeji Simulation is my favorite manga by far.
27. anime you plan to watch in the future
Komi-san will be getting an anime adaptation this October which I'll be watching.
28. most upsetting moment in anime, why
The scene in Made in Abyss where one character attempts to amputate the arm of another that has been stabbed by a venomous quill using only a rock and pocket knife. Like 15 straight minutes of a 12 year old screaming and crying in agony.
29. anime that deserves another season
Houseki no Kuni 100%. I've read through the manga for it and there's so much good content that could be covered.
30. one anime conclusion you would change
I would change up the ending of Carole and Tuesday quite a bit, the scope became too grandiose and ended up feeling pretty lame. Still a good show though, especially the first half.
