Might I just say. The little talking bit between Eurolychus and Odysseus in Thunderbringer actually makes me cry. They both sound incredibly broken. They both know what choice Odysseus is about to make. And the fact that Eurolychus sounds so little.
Like a child who doesn’t really understand why his friend is doing this. And Odysseus’s “I know”. He knows what choice he’s making. The rest of his crew. His friends, are about to die at his hand.
Just showing some appreciation.

The torches-
I love how this animatic shows both the blood and gore, and Eurolychus realizing just what Odysseus had done.
Animation by ElianZiS with storyboard by Smoolio, who made this promotional animatic before

Imagine this (Warning: ANGST)
What if after the men died in thunder bringer they were able to track down his journey and watch what happens to Odysseus after they died. Not only would they gain sympathy for their captain that caused their death but also see his time on Ogygia (I think that's the name) IT WOULD BE HEARTBREAKING for them to see their captain suffer to the point of attempted suicide. (Imagine how guilty they would feel for stabbing him in Mutiny now) They would find a way to break in at (Love in paradise) and help him contact Athena (As if Calypso cast a spell making him unable to reach Athena in the earlier several years) which would be why Odysseus heard voices. And why Athena realized Odysseus needed her help. (Imagine if they also broke into her consciousness or were around her to hint at her to look at Odysseus's journey) Basically their presence, and helping guiding the Musical from Mutiny and onward.

how long do you think it was between the Underworld Saga and the Thunder Saga?
they say it's been 'about 12 years' which is the same time given in the Circe Saga so it can't have been that long (assuming Ody wasn't lying earlier and they're even half decent at keeping track of time).
in Different Beasts, the whole crew acts like Ody's ruthlessness is expected, even though we haven't seen it since Troy. they don't hesitate to obey him at any point, not when he says to cut off the sirens tails, not when he says to let them drown. Eurolychus doesn't hesitate to light the six torches, the men don't hesitate to follow him into Scylla's lair. they sing about being different beasts now, about how he's a different beast now. how long do you think that strategy had been working for them? how many monsters do you think they dealt with ruthlessly? how long had it been since they lost a friend?
I just. there's so much trust between Ody and his crew for the first half of the Thunder Saga and it all goes out the window the moment they realise their acceptable collateral damage to him

Crazy how Eurylochus encouraged Odysseus to not mess with the gods or use his wit anymore in "Luck Runs Out" and then gets made at him when he does that in "Scylla" and "Mutiny"
Like he specifically says that Odysseys left behind no man with Circe and hatched a plan with Polyphemus which he complained about "In Luck Runs Out" because "he relies on wit and people die on it" but then when he doesn't use it Eurylochus accuses him of sacrificing people 🙄

Just listened to the Wisdom Saga of Epic the musical. Can someone explain to me why only the black people call Odysseus Ody. At this point I’m starting to think that’s his hood name. 🤣🤣😂

I just realized smth heartbreaking- also to everyone who is hasn't listened to Epic the musical...go listen to it all in order then read this...
EUROLYCHUS WAS SO UPSET AT ODYSSEUS IN MUTINY BECAUSE HE THOUGHT ODYSSEUS WAS THE MAN HE WASNT. ODYSSEUS ROUTINELY MAKES THE RIGHT CALLS AND EUROLYCHUS OFTEN DOUBTS HIM OR FUCKS IT UP. EUROLYCHUS EVEN SUGGESTS ABANDONING THE MEN WITH CIRCE, AND ODYSSEUS INSISTS ON GETTING THEM BACK. SO WHEN ODYSSEUS WAS WILLING TO SACRIFICE 6 MEN AND DID SO IN SECRET, EUROLYCHUS'S PERCEPTION OF HIS 'BROTHER' WAS SHATTERED. AND THAT'S WHY HE WAS WILLING TO TURN ON HIM. THE MAN LEADING THEM WASNT THE MAN WHO HAD BEEN HIS 'BROTHER'. STOP IT I AM IN AGONY-
