“Mm, let’s get closer!” Y/n said seeing people break away from the floor and grab drinks or seats.

Y/n dragged her friends towards the stage. Squeezing through the smaller crowd as the band was in their places. “Hello, We’re HONEY and we are going to play a few songs from our new EP.” Y/n assumed what the singer said.

“He’s hot,” Y/n smiled

“She’s got her sights on him,” Felix joked behind her

Y/n glared at her friend. Before their music started. Y/n quickly turned to the stage, swaying just slightly to the beat. They had a more rock/alternative style from what she could tell. But she liked it— especially the singer’s style and voice.

She swayed a little to the music as she sipped her drink. The alcohol in her system and the atmosphere lifted her mood. Especially when the singer made eye contact with her. She kept it with him for a few moments while he went through their chorus then broke the eye contact.

“Does that mean I’m just taking Felix and Innie home tonight?” Changbin asked her

“We’ll see,” Y/n smiled

She kept up with their set, meeting the eyes of the singer a few times before they said their thanks and got off stage.

“Five bucks she’s gonna find him,” Jeongin said

“Five bucks he finds her first,” Felix said

“Fuck both of you,” Y/n rolled her eyes.

“You’ve only fucked one of us. And it’s not me,” Jeongin said

“You make me need a drink,” Changbin sighed

“Speaking of, I’m getting another,” Y/n told them and made her way through the crowd to the bar. It wasn’t too crowded thankfully. However, it did take a moment to get the bartender’s attention.

“Excuse me,” A voice said behind her.

She looked to see if she was in someone’s way and apologize, just to see the singer from minutes ago, “Hey,” Y/n smiled

“Hey,” he replied, “Can I buy you a drink?”

“If you tell me you’re name.”

“Hyunjin.” The blonde smiled

“Y/n.”

“What can I get you?” The bartender asked as they finally came over

“Order whatever,” Hyunjin said as he took out his card

Y/n ordered her previous drink and he ordered one for himself. He paid for the drinks as the bartender got to work on the drinks. “Here with someone?” Hyunjin asked

“Few friends. I wanted to drink and dragged them out,” Y/n explained

“And District 9 is where you guys came?” He asked as they got their drinks.

“One of my friends said he had a couple of clients that said there was live music tonight. I’m just here for the drinks.”

“Just the drinks?” Hyunjin asked

“Maybe a little more,” Y/n smirked and sipped her drink

Hyunjin returned the look as they both walked away from the bar. Finding a clear table and sitting, just talking and flirting a bit as they drank. She could feel her friend’s eyes on her and Hyunjin could feel his friends watching them too.

“Do you live out here?” Y/n asked

“Yeah,” Hyunjin nodded, “Why? Wanna come back to mine?”

“I mean, if you’re offering.”

Hyunjin and Y/n both finished off their drinks before he offered her his hand and brought her out of the club. Grabbing a cab from the street and giving them his apartment address. He kept a hand on her thigh as they had a hushed conversation in the back of the cab. Killing time till they got to his apartment, exchanging phone numbers in the back as well just as they pulled up to the building. Hyunjin paid the driver and the two got out. Hyunjin held her hand as they got into the building and into the elevator.

Once the door closed, Y/n had Hyunjin back up against the wall. He smiled at her and placed his hands on her hips. Their lips met somewhere in the middle, molding together in a heated kiss. His hands gripped her hips tight as he leaned forward. Y/n moaned into the kiss as his tongue swiped along her bottom lip before the elevator dinged. The two pulled away and Hyunjin noticed it was his floor. He quickly led her out and down the hall to his unit. Hurriedly he grabbed out his keys and got them both in the door.

Hyunjin had her pressed up against the door. Lips enveloping hers as his hands held onto her ass. Y/n moaned into the kiss as she wrapped one of her legs around his hip. Hyunjin moved a hand to hold her leg up while he slipped his tongue into her mouth. Y/n held onto his jacket as his tongue wrapped around hers.

He pulled away from her lips just to attach them to her neck. Sucking on the skin as she grabbed at his hair. “Jinnie,” Y/n moaned, feeling his hard dick against her

Y/n pulled up the back of his shirt as his fingers spread her open. Trying to get the clothes off his back to feel him against her. His free hand moved up her shirt. Y/n arched her back as his hand groped her chest.

“Need you, please Jin,” Y/n begged

“Yeah? Need me in you?” The singer asked

“Yes!” Y/n begged

Hyunjin pulled away and licked his fingers clean. Y/n took the opportunity to tear off her top and tossed it to the side. Hyunjin followed not long after. Both stripped away their clothing till there was nothing left. Hyunjin dug through his side drawer and found a condom.

Hyunjin tore open the foil and rolled the rubber on his length. Lining himself up at her entrance before pushing in. Y/n gasped and grabbed hold of his forearms. Hyunjin smiled as he sank into her. Pushing her legs up to her chest, listening to her moans as he sank deeper.

“Fuck,” Y/n moaned as he started thrusting into her.

Hyunjin didn’t start slow but didn’t go too fast. He leaned her legs on his shoulders as he planted his hands next to her head. Leaning over her as his hips snapped into her. Both moaning and cursing under their breaths with each hit. Y/n reached between her legs, rolling her fingers over her clit before Hyunjin noticed. Replacing her fingers with his and taking over. contains: butcher x reader, based around season 2 ep. 6, canon gore/violence, reader is basically getting hurt the same as hughie did, angst, some fluff at the end.

the air seemed to stand still as the van flipped, the multiple screams of Butcher, Annie and Hughie as they realised that you were still in there.

the escaped patient that had caused the shockwave pleaded for forgiveness; “please! please! i-it was an accident-“ butcher didn’t hesitate, putting a bullet between the man’s eyes. all he could think was of you, having been thrown around within the metallic walls.

the vehicle stopped rolling as you tried to focus on where you were, but all that was present was physical pain as you lay sprawled in the back of the van. the large doors in the back flung open as butcher desperately needed to get to you, grabbing you gently from the floor of the vehicle.

the bright sun burnt your eyes as Billy got you on your feet. “sweetheart, are you alright?” “y-yeah… i’m…” he scanned your body for injuries, before his eyes fell onto the gaping wound in your side before you fell to the ground, slowly going in and out of consciousness from the shock and blood loss. your ears rang and your eyes went crossed seeing multiple of the three of them, not able to decipher what was happening around you.

Annie and Hughie rushed to your side, butcher stood in shock, seeing you laying on the grass.

“they need a hospital. now. they’ll bleed out and die if we don’t get them there.” Hughie held pressure to the wound, trying to stop the blood flow.

Butcher couldn’t speak, only stare at the sight of you.

“butcher!” annie snapped, urging him to get out of his head and help you up, herself and hughie holding you on either side on your shoulders. “can you get the van started?”

Billy ran he hand through his hair as he walked to the front of the van, finding the key had snapped in two when it rolled. “shit, we can’t go, not in the van. FUCK!” he screamed out, kicking the side of the van before returning to your side. he studied your face,

“can you hear me?? fuck please… say something lovey.” he held your jaw in his hand, his other hand brushing along your cheek as hughie and Annie still held you up by the shoulders. the panic set in him when all you could muster was a strangled groan.

“we’ve gotta go by foot, we can’t do much here.” he turned on his heel, walking in the direction of the nearest road. “do we call an ambulance?” Hughie suggested “and have ‘em question why we were outside Sage Grove? no fuckin’ way.” he tried to remain composed but that was slowly slipping away.

“but the nearest hospital is 40 minutes away- they will die before we can get halfway there.” Annie yelled as her and Hughie walked with you draped around their shoulders, slumped over with your feet dragging along the ground.

“we ain’t got much of a choice now do we?” he snapped back, eyes never leaving your limp body. “we’ve gotta flag down some wanker in their car, carjack ‘em and get ‘em to the hospital.”

“butcher no, if we pull someone over and they recognise me im fucke-“ “this ain’t about your fuckin’ reputation with those Vought cunts, this is about savin’ their life. god fucking dammit if i lose them…” he couldn’t finish his sentence without his voice cracking, his vulnerability seeping through.

he shook his head, getting his vulnerable state in check and walked over to hughie and annie, taking over carrying you towards the dirt road at the edge of the hospital. he couldn’t help but feel his heart break as the sight of you, eyes barely staying open.

the minutes of walking along that road waiting for someone to drive by seemed like hours for the small group, especially for butcher. he kept replaying any and all thoughts of you in his head- thinking of how your eyes crinkled as you smiled, your scent, the late night talks with him- he wouldn’t know what to do without you.

eventually, the sound of rubber tyres came within earshot- hughie jumping into action and flagging down the vehicle. “sir please… we need to use your vehicle, o-our friend is hurt and need to get to the hospital now.”

the man in the car was sceptical, eyeing off hughie, annie, butcher and yourself. he saw the state of you, eyes widening at the blood stained sight. “what happened?” he questioned hughie.

“i-i can’t tell you- but they just need to get to hospital... please.” he practically begged him, but the man wouldn’t budge- .

“oi!” butcher yelled to him. “if you don’t get your sorry ass outta that car you’re gonna regret it.”

Hughie turned to Billy telling him to back down, making the driver aggravated. Annie watched as he step out of the car, pointed a revolver at them that was hidden in the side compartment in the drivers seat door.

“all of you, back the fuck up or you will eat lead.” the drivers shaky hand aimed toward hughie, the sound of the safety being turned off triggered Annie to project a forceful beam of light from her, sending him flying through the air- landing with a loud thud and crackled gurgling from his throat.

no hesitation was needed as you they piled into the car, carefully laying you in the back with butcher holding you and applying pressure to your gaping wounds. “hold on lovey, we’re on our way… you’ll be right yeah?” he whispered in your ear as you sway in and out of responsiveness.

Hughies foot hit the pedal and the tires squealed off into the distance as time was ticking, your life on the line.

“i can’t let ya die, not now….” butchers breath hitched as he stroked your hair, holding you as close as humanly possible. Annie and Hughie exchanged concerned looks, worried not only about you, but also for butchers state. if he was to lose you… god only knew what would happen.

Billy had sentiments for you that were obvious to both of them; in fact, he was so enamoured of you that he wouldn't think about anything else. Although the grouchy londoner was unaware of it, they also knew that you had it bad for him.

the journey seemed to go on for eternity, but on the horizon the looming white building came into view. billy sighed in relief, letting a breath out that he didn’t realise he was holding.

As hughie pulled up to the emergency doors, butcher didn’t hesitate in opening the car door and pulling you out as gentle as possible, carrying you in his arms as he walked through the giant doors.

“HELP! they need to be seen immediately! they’re bleedin’ out.” butcher cried out desperate to grab the attention of staff, who bounced into action- calling for a trolley to travel you along the winding corridors towards the surgery room.

He tried to go beyond the doors but was stopped by a personnel. “sir, you can’t go through. you’ll have to wait-“

“but they need me-”

“sir. you’ll have to wait in the waiting room, we will let you know as soon as they are finished in surgery you will be called.” he huffed, walking away from them.

Hours passed and there was no news to be heard. The bright fluorescent lights of the waiting room flickered as Butcher paced back and forth, Annie and Hughie watching him alertly.

“Butcher…” Hughie whispered. “the doctors are doing everything they can, please sit- you have to breathe-“

“breathe?” Butcher turned his head to him. “fuck that. i ain’t breathin’ until i know they’re safe.” he sucked in a breath, his mind taking him back to seeing you fall the the ground in your blood stained clothes.

“we will hear from the doctors soon, just trust they they will pull through this.” Annie remarked, Butcher stayed silent. His vulnerability seeped through the tough facade that he always had, twisting in him like a dagger.

After what seemed like more than eternity a doctor emerged from the surgery doors. Butcher’s head jerked up as the doctor walked toward him. the doctors expression serious as he addressed the three of them. “they are out of surgery now. they had lost a lot of blood, but they are stable. they got lucky, if they got here 20 minutes after they did, they wouldn’t have made it…”

Butchers heart sank, Annie and Hughie breathed a sigh of relief for their friend. “can we see ‘em?” Butcher enquired, which was received with a nod. “you can, they just aren’t awake at the moment, but you can go sit in their room.”

Butcher took no time to walk through the corridors to your room, the other two following in unison. As butcher entered the room, the sound of medical instruments monitoring your every bodily function and the smell of antiseptic chemicals overstimulated his senses. his heart skips a beat as his eyes avert over to your resting body- fragile and sickly from the blood loss.

Annie and Hughie hung back, your appearance shocking them to the core and to give Butcher space to process what’s happened to you.

Sitting in the chair next to your bed, he looks at the various bandages that adorned you, watching your chest as it rose and fell with your short winded breaths. his heart ached as he pushed a strand of hair from your face, seeing you vulnerable like this.

The sun started to peak on the horizon as more hours went by, an orange glow seeped through the glossy windows of your hospital room. Butcher had fallen asleep in the chair, Annie and Hughie had gone to grab snacks and drinks for themselves.

You began to stir, the light blinding you slightly as you came to. the overwhelming sounds and smells invaded your senses as you woke up slowly with a groan. Butcher awoke as he heard your groan, his heart fluttering as your eyes opened and scanned your surroundings before they landed on him.

“Billy?” you said weakly, your tired eyes fixed onto him. “i’m here love…” he whispered. his voice croaked with relief, fighting back the lump that formed in the back of his throat. “i almost lost ya…”

Tears brimmed in your eyes as you realised how close you were to losing everything, him slipping through your fingers.

“I-I was so scared.” his heart sank once more, hearing your confession. Billy took your hand gently, running his thumb across your tender knuckles. “ you’re safe now… the doctors did their job.”

He paused for a moment. “i’m not gonna let anything happen to ya… never again, you mean too much to me. you won’t ever be scared again.”

“Billy I-“

“shhh… you gotta rest love.” he squeezed your hand tenderly, bringing his lips to your knuckles and kissing them, smiling softly as you looked at him.

“i’m gonna be right by your side yeah? no matter what, you’ll be safe… safe with me.” in that moment, you smiled weakly at him- seeing that spark of love in his eyes that you mirrored for him.

CRITICAL ROLE CAMPAIGN 3 EP 95 SPOILERS

before i get into my think piece abt... everything that transpired at the end of this episode, i would like to say this is one of the best c3 episodes.... one of my favourite episodes of all time. idk idk.

essek? smut? astrid? poly bells hells allegations?? i was already fucking sold dawg. i cannot goddamn believe that this four hour episode was... mostly... a shopping episode. i cant wait for the new art, regardless of the batshitery that happened that kinda throws my vibes off. i digress.

oh ashton greymoore i love you so much. i have been so worried abt them but honestly they're probably the lat person im concerned for currently. the grief was so compelling to watch and taliesin is a master of roleplaying as minus charisma but genuinely charismatic in his dorky awkward gruff and fumbling way. his rizz is actually just blindsiding us with earnest acts of service and comfort for his friends and i think thats so neat. im happy that they're all going to aeor with fcg intertwined throughout their outfits. its poetic and also maddeningly sweet.

(love the little callowmoore moments sprinkled through this episode... they're so real to me)

also??? sugar daddy dorian storm??? yeah i see you gay boy. dorym is so real guys we need to prepare for a confession and soon. idk i get the vibe liam is gonna drop it in the most heartbreaking way. or robbie. they're both sick in the head tbh.

loved the little queer inn that essek dragged them to and the calm before the storm was genuinely the cutest shit ever and im glad they were having fun despite everything. we got the essek and ashton dunamancy scene that i have been begging for but i cant even talk abt that right now.

before i address orym and laudna...

delilah briarwood. im gonna fucking kill you. best believe that.

theres been so much discourse on twitter abt who was right or wrong or this or that, but ultimately the point is: neither of them is RIGHT. they're both stricken with trauma and grief, and motivated by the love they have for a) the ones orym has lost and b) the one laudna is fighting not to lose. laudna WAS worried abt orym before delilah twisted that into paranoia, and orym didnt wield that fuckass blade bc he DOESNT feel sick touching it.

he says its not abt revenge but... god. orym. you want revenge. call it whatever you like but you've been angry for a while.

laudna says she KNEW the sword was cursed, but she was lying or in denial abt the fact that delilah is the one who coerced her to hold the blade in her hand.

if either of them had decided to talk to each other or the group as a whole then this could have -- most likely -- been avoided. orym decided to take the blade and shoulder the burden of what it meant and what it represented so they didnt have. laudna felt betrayed and hurt but instead of trusting orym she was manipulated back into that cunt's clutches.

i dont prescribe to trauma olympics, especially when laudna and orym never actually denied each others' trauma with otohan and that blade so i think its slightly irrelevant when discussing them both.

(i will say this... otohans blade is what killed laudna but delilah is the one who had her in a cage when she was dead. otohan murdered oryms family and there was absolutely nothing that could save them. i firmly believe THAT is what chetney meant, not that laudna hasnt suffered so we can all just... unclench a little idk)

in all the discourse, lets not forget who the real villains are -- evil milfs (delilah and otohan). delilah chose this moment to sew distrust in laudna towards orym for a reason. its like the spider queen and opal. she NEEDS laudna isolated and dependent, and she cant sink her teeth in completely if laudna has someone to fall back on.

imodna... jesus imodna breaks me every time. that entire scene on the roof while laudna looks so much like her abuser -- the woman who MURDERED her -- and having that visage fade as laudna proclaims her love for imogen. peak romance and tragedy.

it was still so upsetting hearing the echoes of delilah as laudna spoke tho. knowing her hold on laudna is getting stronger and laudna has no real faith that she will be able to fight against her. hearing her ask imogen if shes still fun scary and knowing that imogen cant tell the truth. this isnt fun anymore. laudna is in danger and imogen doesnt know how to fix it.

"I'll always love you, Laudna. I just don't know what to do with it."

its uh its not looking good for our sapphics fellas.

anyway, i do think that ashton was the emotional mvp of this episode, especially while shit was escalating. putting themself between orym and laudna, PROTECTING laudna despite knowing she attacked him, TRUSTING that she was actually telling the truth and guiding her to see the forest for the trees and apologize for an irrational choice made through a mixture of trauma, delusion and paranoia.

im... excited? for the next episode? not sure why we keep having really horrible inter-party conflict the day before going on a suicide mission but the hells are my problem babies and i have to accept that they're just little fucked up guys.

What Is Wolf 359 anyway ? Is it like a podcast ? And could you tell me all your favorite parts about it in great detail because it sounds really interesting and I trust your opinion :]

sits down across the table from you and slams a briefcase on the table so heavy it breaks it in half. Hey.

Wolf 359 is an audio podcast that came out in 2014. It opens up by asking the question “Would that be fucked up or what?” and its answers are really funny until they aren’t. Classic case of the funny story slowly becoming painfully real and dangerous for the protagonists.

The basics of the plot is a crew of three people plus their space station’s AI are sent to orbit a star lightyears away from earth by some totally suspicious corporation. The show introduces you right in the middle of the mission, when everyone’s already been out there for months, so they’ve sort of abandoned decorum for gassing each other with chemicals as a solution for workplace discourse. I will put my in depth thoughts under a cut because frankly, I would very very much like you to check out this podcast, because I like it a lot and want to see more people talking about it. Stick through at least season one and the beginning of season 2, it’s about a dozen episodes and it’s a quick listen to help you decide if you want to keep checking it out.

ok so my favorite things about it (non spoilers edition.)

-Really solidly written female characters. Like it’s genuinely enjoyable how much they share the same narrative weight as the male characters especially for a 2014 podcast.

-Character focused podcast 🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶 I love a story that is first and foremost about dissecting characters and their actions and I think Wolf 359 excels in this section of its writing. Doug Eiffel is a wonderful adventure in finding out what happens when a comedic relief character is confronted with being more than just his archetype.

-Ai storyline. Do you like robots? You should like my friend Hera. Everything happens to her. She sees everything all of the time, she knows so much more than you do, and she is physically unable to insult you to your face but I think she should do it anyways. I like. Her. She gets to get up to weird gay people stuff with a character that shows up later on and it leaves her changed in so many ways.

-Fucked up little scientist that I like. He’s Russian and you should listen to the podcast for the sole experience of comparing his voice in ep 1 to any ep in season 3. It’s funny.

ok specifics under the cut if you dare to hear my detailed thoughts before listening to the podcast

-Doug Eiffel’s character is genuinely one of the most interesting things to me. I talked about it in an older textpost but I love how Wolf 359 is a media not unfamiliar with immoral and nuanced characters and chooses to make sure that applies to not just its antagonists. The reveal in season 3 that he was a dad? And he like? Brutally impacted his kids life forever because of His Own shitty mistakes? And now he has to deal with that forever? Big. Massive even. Also part of the reason I have such a gripe with the finale of the show but it’s okay I think the show itself is still really worth it in spite of my mixed feelings on season 4.

-Isabel. ISABEEEEEEL. Isabel Lovelace is really good and the entirety of minisode 4 (I believe it’s 4?) kills me dead. She’s died not once, but twice! And lived! She’s tormented! She’s miserable! She’s the final girl! she’s a clone! She’s the original! I need to finish my relisten so I can get as weird about her as possible because fuck me does she have a fascinating storyline.

-That fuckass scientist. Hilbert. Heart. I can and have gone into depth about him before because I hate him. He’s like, peak for me vis a vis Wolf 359 and character dissection. Hes a horrible horrible man but the way he justifies his actions and how he views himself and what exactly his apathy is driven by fascinates me. This man died at 6 years old and has spent the rest of his life dragging the dead weight of his own corpse around while he works toward his unreasonable goals. I love him.

The way they are dragging this secret out has officially become irritating. Just say what the fuck is going on.

Well, at least Namping knows he's a coward. Ffs. I cannot imagine how he justified leaving X in such an abrupt way, telling him nothing, leaving him waiting, knowing he will never come back. A terminal illness is not a good excuse for what he did to him, especially because his supposed reason was not wanting to be selfish. But his choices here were far more selfish and cruel than telling the truth and staying to be happy while he could.

This show is not really what I expected based on the way people talk about it. It's not all that light, for one. I've heard it described as being a fun speed run of fanfic tropes, but it's pretty dramatic (in the sense of dealing with heavier themes), and this last story at least was very melodramatic. It's the kind of maudlin terminal illness plot line you'd see in a decades-old drama. I guess that's the idea? We're just running through classic tropes, including some that have been all but retired. I still don't know if or how these different universes are meant to connect, or what to make of these characters. Should I view each iteration as separate from the ones before, or am I meant to think of these as the same souls repeating lives? It's interesting for sure.

Ep.2 - Ray: “Do you think I’m hot?” Sand: “No. You’re pretty plain.”

Ep.3 - The morning after scene. All of it. They were way too fucking smitten after their one night stand.

Ep.4 - Sand to Ray: “Stop dragging me around when you feel lonely or throwing me away when you don’t need me.”

Ep.5 - The conversation about their parents back at Sand’s apartment. Loved their honesty in this scene.

This song is very inanimate insanity coded, and by that I mean MePhone specifically. (Of course, it's a song about Taco and I'm Making it about MePhone, that's what I do.)

Healing is a process, Mepad knows that well, and seeing everything that's happened is probably why MePad quit. Besides the terrible work conditions he's put through, MePad just can't stand everyone being dragged through the mud. Taco was so right, the game's getting really serious and it's taking a toll on everyone (including MePhone, which MePad definitely got front-row seats too). I wonder if he feels a part of the problem and is now trying to rectify it. I mean, it'd make sense why he's helping out Taco now.

I feel even more justified in saying it after looking at the resignation scene again. MePad is thoroughly done with MePhone's shit, and for good reason. Tempting to not REVIVE someone just to make sure the show goes smoothly is fucked up! MePad's had enough and AUGH FUCK YEAH AND AAUGHHH FUCK NO MEPHONE'S REACTION TO HIM RESIGNING-

So…. what the fuck was s3?

He hints at it actually happening with the "'First without' you have no idea", being connected to him not having an assistant for more than half of s3, and the "for half a day the world actually felt peaceful" referring to the s3 finale. Or at least that's all I'm assuming. But to them, it's only been a couple hours..?

I'mm soooo fuckin' lost, but my theory is that he either alt-reality'd that season or time travelled, or something. That's just not makin' sense, especially with this happening tho

I just can't think of any other way that this would make sense and be canonical other than MePhone himself went into an alternate timeline to do s3. That does give me fic ideas though...

Anyways... Connecting it back to MePad and everything though, I find it both funny and saddening to see that he's gone back to s2 persona (when thinking about it in terms of my theory). It's so obvious that it's a front, from the turn of his heel to change topics away from his "vacation" with the pained "BUUUTTT ANYWAY", to the short pause before going "WELL!" after MePad's resignation, to the "And if you're ready to talk" thing being shot with his cover-up is another-

You don't need me to tell you it's a front, everyone and their mama knows, but I'll continue to do so 'cause I physically have to, or else I'll explode. You can tell it really tears him up from how MePhone reacted when he first saw MePad.

LOOK AT THE SHOCK ON HIS PIXELY FACE!! He probably thought MePad fully abandoned him or something before his "vacation" and this was whiplash that it wasn't THEN MePad ACTUALLY left?!? Of course it's gotta hurt, but s2 means he's got the host role to fill, and that means being a snarky sack of shit (I say that with love, of course).

That also paired with the look of guilt… shame in this scene…. AGH

She's so right here by the way, the years he spent on iii for "something new" shows that he's not trying to move away. Sure it got him to come back to s2 in the first place, but now that he's here, what did he actually learn? Actions speak louder than words, and so far, he's been just the same s2 asshole host we remember. Though you know what could change all that..?

First things first, I love Knife's little gestures. They're all so sick of his shit, as they should be <3

I wanna give props where props are due, the sound design, the pacing- everything leading up to this scene was absolutely perfect would cry again 10/10

We had him build generations of phones, specifically to take him out, send "insiders" like Toilet and Walkie Talkie (I assume at least) to also take him out in some way or another, and whatever the hell else was going on, all to indirectly take down MePhone, and now he just calls. Calls in the middle of the recording! I assume he knows about s3 and if so just what in the fuck could he want??? WHAT IS HIS PLAN??? I NEED TO KNOW WHAT THAT COB OF CORN IS TRYING TO DO- IT IS GOING TO DRIVE ME INSANE.

Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE in that scene is just as confused and concerned as I am. (I am just saying things, but you know what I mean.)

I'm so serious though, Knife is like "WTF?!", and Suitcase is like "WTF??" AND GOD DAMN IT LOOK AT HIM HE IS CONFUSED AND SCARED GUYS. If this doesn't shake that s2 persona outta him, I don't fuckin' know what will (besides the show just being over, but I digress).

Cobs is def gonna make an appearance next ep (I'm manifesting, let me cook), and it's not gonna be pretty, but MePhone's gonna get to turn him into a corn tortilla and everyone's gonna cheer and he's not gonna have daddy issues anymore and then everything will be ok. That's my prediction for ii 16.

OFMD S2 EP 4-5: Izzy Hands (from a S1 Izzy fan)

I'll admit. I teared up at the Izzy shit in ep 1-3. Not a full-blown cry. But close. I was stressed, and tired, and hurt more than anything. I only cried in my car driving home. It hit, but it was more prolonged.

Do you know what got me crying? Izzy opened that letter, revealing 'For The New Unicorn'. He looks up and smiles. I went from 0-100 dry eyes to crying in seconds. I had to rewatch it because HELL.

The entire episode, hell, debatably from (S1ep4) we see Izzy go through it. Socially isolated and losing his identity. Leading up to S2ep4. Drunk and sad and heartbroken. He tries his best to stay afloat without a lifejacket as his self crumbles around him. He doesn't care anymore. He thinks his life is over. He lashes out because there's no one there to help him.

BUT THEN THE LEG. He cried and I cried during both scenes.

BECAUSE HE IS CARED ABOUT AND HE CAN HEAL!

GOD, and the way that leads into EPISODE 5. Izzy slicked his hair back and regaining some of his own personal identity. Izzy genuinely bantering with Stede, and gently helping him to be a better Captain. The way he desperately asks Stede if Ed said anything else nice about him? Showing that. Yeah, he's not all the way there yet, but he's working on it. The training scene where Izzy just looks on in fascinated horror at Stede's skills? THE LITTE OKAY HANDSIGNAL AT THE END WHEN STEDE USED HIS GRUFF VOICE? He smiles, and jokes, and TRIES. Izzy is pissed, obviously, but he's getting there.

He is kind and caring, all WHILE STILL BEING A PRICK? Him being a total nerd during the curse monologue? Izzy mutters 'rude' and pointedly crosses his legs as Stede ruins the vibe. I laughed harder at Izzy sitting at that desk than I did at most of the jokes in the show. THAT'S MY FUCKING BASTARD!! I'm so happy I saw a character and have been rewarded by showing, yes. He is kind, and trying, but he needs to learn to let himself become new.

I fucking love him. I can tell from the teaser that Izzy is just going to grow closer with the crew (and with himself) and I can't wait. (Even if it means his imminent capture, whoops).

I do think they'll do something with Izzy/Lucius, at least a single happy (Izzy no longer holding himself back from wanting) consensual kiss or genuine discussion about life(post-wedding) to show their growth as characters because I had to pause with the cig and shark interaction. Jesus Christ. I didn't really ship it before, but they are so snarky and it's great.

I'm a bit sad as Izzy's current arc likely means he might not get the big 'fuck you' moment of anger to Ed that Lucius got. Mainly because Con would make me cry, but If Izzy is genuinely just shoving this shit down, ignoring the years that Ed ignored his existence, then...idk.

They purposefully gave Izzy and Ed no scenes and thank god we get a TINY break. Because Ed will try to patch things up, and I don't think it works like that with Izzy. He needs proof that Ed is trying. Add to that Ed ACTUALLY saying sorry to him, and not expecting Izzy to immediately accept it(my theory as to why Lucius pointed it out: Ed will ACTUALLY say sorry to Izzy and mean it. This will heal something for Izzy, and hell). I can't wait for Ed to come back and see him. See him for who he is, a silly prick who is loyal to a fault, who is loved.

This is likely the happiest two episodes we'll get, and fuck, I loved them both SO MUCH. After a rewatch I'll write about the crew. Ed/Stede is actually working for me as we watch them both learn, and Fuck, Lucius/Pete...my darlings.

NOW FOR THE TEASER:

THE IDEA OF SEEING CON IN DRAG AGAIN MAKES ME SO HAPPY! Especially what it means for Izzy. Izzy lets his hair down and has fun with Wee John as he explores what actually makes him happy. Hell, him opening up to being a bit of a masochist as a joke while tied up is...actually my favorite thing (while obvious, given his propensity to put Ed before him in all matters, Izzy casually mentioning 'I like to be roughed a bit up' in front of the crew is the type of openness about himself that I crave). Izzy "cocksuckers" Hands letting himself joke about SEX-GAY SEX(probably)- Kill me now.

(To clarify: I don't think he or Ed ever got off to the abuse, hell, we see Ed flinch away when Anne/Mary do it. That's not the face of someone who knows what that's like as the Sadist).

I just love the way Izzy has so obviously relaxed into a person that he'd never let exist. Hell. I hope Izzy gets to rub this happier version of himself RIGHT in Edward's sad face. I need a 'he was never like this with me' moment of Ed watching Izzy SMILE to parallel Izzy's jealousy in S1.

Con obviously loves this character, you can see it in the performance. He fills the role perfectly, from his ups to his downs. Con smiles and hell, that's not Con, that's Izzy fucking Hands. Striding along proudly pretending his world isn't changing, because it is, and he is healing and I LOVE IT.

I am so proud of our growing Izzy loving community. For some, we've been through a lot of shit. Probably in life, and hell, maybe even in this fandom. Even if you haven't been harassed, you loved Izzy, you saw yourself in him, and I hope you felt the show giving us a big fucking hug.

We grow, we recover, and hell. We get a happy fucking ending (with a few yet-to-be-seen bumps in the road).

Listen... The Eclipse is such a fav amongst my Tumblr dash, people always told me "nah, bc, the EMOTIONAL SCENES!!! they served, they serve!!" So, naturally, I was super fucking pumped to get to watch this series, like, I wanted to know! Plus the premise seemed genuinely interesting so I was curious as well but then... Oh, god... The boredom I was made to endure...

The plot is ??? all over the damn place:

Dead uncle;

Ghosts, for some fucking reason, but not really;

First has to cry in every series he's in, it's mandatory;

It has to be a high school bc reasons ig;

Home of phobia;

Gays outing gays bc that surely makes sense;

Unexplained random unearned forgiveness;

Feminine gays getting ridiculed for no reason whatsoever;

Old man yaoi plot twist ??.

Then, there's the terrible sound quality, literally everything ECHOS for some reason and there's no ambient sound, all spaces are acoustic voids; Neo and Louis had 0 chemistry...

In the end, what do I like about it? Khaotung's face, ig, he looked very pretty. Everything else is a no by my standards.

And DFF... I feel like most people didn't watch it. And it begs the question if it even is a BL, all things considered. But I have to express my frustration with it somewhere and ain't no better place than here.

The premise was everything. And before the flashbacks started coming, it was so much fun! My discord GC was only created BECAUSE of DFF, bc we wanted ppl to analyse and comment on the eps with!!

So to see that nothing that was that ending... With so many loose ends and unsatisfactory conclusions... Where nothing made sense and nothing was fulfilling... It was super disappointing.

If there's one good thing about it, Ig, it's the fact, at least, we didn't suffer alone, we did it together sdkjskdskdj.

(DIS)HONOURABLE MENTIONS: Until We Meet Again & Last Twilight

The only reason why UWMA is not there with The Eclipse and DFF is simply bc right when I started I knew the premise hadn't spoken to me and, more importantly, I had been warned by @squishyteri (I'm tagging her bc, unlike Naga, this post will not break her heart) that I would grow to hate it. And, lo and behold, she was absolutely right!

Still, the 1st episodes were fine bc the double suicide makes an impact on you and I thought, "well, maybe I'm actually gonna beat the odds here", but then... It became just a bunch of clichés and dragging the story around for no reason and P'DEAAANNNNN and I had to take a few days after watching it to go out and touch some grass and realise life is better than the boring things I watch sometimes in order to recover from the torture.

Now Last Twilight... I was watching it with one IRL friend of mine and we were so, so incredibly pumped!! The show was everything, the characters, the plot, the everything... It was so, so good.

When the scene at the top of the mountain happened I CRIED, OKAY??? That was so beautiful, that was glorious, that was FUCKING CINEMA.

And then everything else happened. Good lord, why did they continue that series beyond that point? WHY DID THEY BRING THAT CURE PLOTLINE TO SUCH A BEAUTIFUL STORY????

I wanted to punch my screen and I'm not even joking. One of the biggest disappointments of my life.

NEVERTHELESS, the points in which this series succeeded were very much great and, for that, I cannot consider myself as disappointed as with the others. I still think there's a lot of quality in there. And I still cherish it very much.

S2E1: Little Green Men

Case: Welcome to season 2, where we start our journey with a melodramatic Mulder monologue. We love to see it. Or... hear it. Whatever. Point is, Mulder is feeling very poetic and melancholic about the Voyager program and the High Resolution Microwave Survey (both are real, btw), and this is relevant, bc at the long abandoned HRMS observatory in Puerto Rico, a transmission has suddenly started coming in. Could it possibly be from... aliens???

Well, Mulder certainly thinks so, and apparently so does his friend in congress, who tells him about the situation in Puerto Rico, and tells him to get his butt down there while he tries to hold off whoever it is who wants Mulder not to learn things this episode. Mulder—having no sense of self-preservation in the slightest and also a new job that he fucking hates—goes without a second thought. From there, the episode becomes a fun back and forth between Mulder's exciting Puerto Rican holiday (in a dark, abandoned building, as he makes melancholic tape recordings for Scully, bc that's who he was talking to in the voiceover, the fucking sap loser), and Scully desperately trying to get to Puerto Rico so that she can drag him back to Washington like a dog that got loose from its collar. Again.

Mulder and Scully both miss the X-Files and each other and it's cute as well as sad; Scully's "Mulder is doing something stupid" senses start tingling, so she guesses another password and breaks into Mulder's computer files; Mulder plays charades and pictionary with a terrified Puerto Rican man named Jorge; and Assistant Director Walter Skinner says NO to secondhand smoking. 

We're off to a great start, fam!

Last Twilight - Ep 12

I really gave this series a chance, I honestly sat down for this episode thinking, ok, maybe they will save this dumpster fire that was the finale of the previous ep. I really WANTED to like it.

The series went for my throat literally in the first minute 😀 After that everything was more or less torture. Almost every scene, every word felt like it was written specifically against me 😆

Let's start with a nice scene of a smiling Day saying coachy, positive bullshit suggesting that he pulled himself up by his bootstraps, and wasn't literally dragged out of the stagnation and depression by Mhok. A montage of scenes of Day thriving. All of this thanks to himself!

And then Mhok arrives, cue the romantic Halmark escalator scene and………… ……………………. ……………….. Mhok and Day slip into their old shoes, acting exactly like they did after their first kiss scene LMAOOOO they literally went back in time to this episode, Mhok flirts, Day is skittish. Everything that happened is pointless. They act like the 3 YEARS (!!!!) apart, or that horrible scene, or even the fact that Day fucking blocked Mhok didn't exist.

This whole episode killed me because it made it seem like Day was the victim of something really bad and Mhok was the bad guy, like it was all because of him, like he had done something terrible to Day. When Day asks his mother if he can give Mhok a chance because he might do "the same thing again", it sounds like Mhok was beating him or cheating on him????? Mhok thanking for the breakup????????? Mhok doing emotional labor again and winning over Day, while Day pushes him away (but not really) and is blushing and skittish and just takes the attention given to him was a literal repeat of the past and actively made me feel upset, for me it was humiliating to see Mhok like that.

And what's interesting - Mhok after his return is exactly the same, he behaves exactly the same, he is "overprotective" again. But now, Day and the plot are ok with it? 🤔

And this wedding, which somehow was about Day anyway. Like everything. (Night and Porjai in the future: remember our wedding? oh yes, that event when we took DAY to the airport and when DAY had his eye surgery? 😆)

Also, please leave the weddings, the profound speeches, the dramatic scenes, the tearjerkers, the airport runs, and the sudden phone calls about available transplants to the professionals. Soap operas do it so much better, so just… leave it. I can cry my eyes out at these scenes during Bollywood movies because they know how to do it. In Last Twilight I don't know where to hide because of embarrassment.

Day getting his sight back? I'm for it! It wasn't a miracle, just a medical procedure. Why would they deny him that? Especially since medicine could help in his case. But again, it's not about what happened, it's about HOW it happened, it's about the execution (which is also my main complaint about the scene from the previous episode). It was just melodramatic and crammed into the moment to force an emotional response from the audience. And did you notice how flat the scene when Day sees fell? "I can see!" haha, Porjai is pretty, end of the scene. Like???? The series told a certain story and from a narrative point of view, Day's regaining his sight at that moment and in such a way was artificial, so it does not give any satisfaction or joy in the fact that a blind person can see again - I was embarrassed by how cringe and saccharine this scene is. Not to mention the beginning of the episode contradicted the ending of the episode! The story must hold together, it must be coherent, the series should have a central, main idea. Last Twilight doesn't have that, it lost it 2 episodes ago, and the saccharine ending of this show was just a soap opera nail in the coffin.

tl;dr Mhok and Day are back in the past. Despite the loud speeches about development, growing and having a beautiful life despite adversities, the series made sure that the characters end it pretty much the same, in perfect circumstances, without the slightest cloud in their perfect sky 😀

Night without hesitation or making a big deal out of it, calling Porjai's baby his. I am a sucker for men who don't care whether their child is his blood. Night and Ha Do Young from The Glory, unconditionally loving their children regardless of whether they are their biological parents -> 💯💯💯

Right now, I'm not even angry, I don't even have any particular negative feelings. I just… I watched the whole episode like that:

so no one wanted a Clone High revival more than me, since it came out in the early 2000s I have pined for more

then we got it

I forced myself to watch up untill that ep where JFK and Joan break up and fight over custody of a turtle or somthin, got really drunk before the end, then the next day realized I needed to rewatch it

I dragged my fucking feet about it, realized that I'd been forcing myself to watch the new episodes every week because its CLONE HIGH, the thing I wanted for ever and ever.....

....but I was miserable watching this new stuff. It was no longer about mocking teen drama, it was teen drama and also not funny at all

I just couldn't stand those 3 new brightly colored characters that didn't act like the historical figures that they were based off of-

-and don't get me STARTED on about the fact that all 3 of them ALREADY HAD CANNON CLONES in the original:

Anyways, the other thing about these 3 that rubbed me the wrong way was the desperate try hard-ness of the writers to make us love them like fans loved the original cast

oh yeah and remember that fucking episode where they mock fans for having nostalgia for the original series? always a text book poor decision, especially considering this was a revival and OG fans are your bread and butter

so i just stopped watching. I felt bad but I couldn't make myself watch a show i dreaded sitting through every week

today I randomly clicked on a youtube vid about "what went wrong" with the new series, only to find out there was already a season two that aired aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand clone high is canceled

not only did everyone just stop talking about the new seasons once they aired but it made so little impact that I had to find out there was a season two/shits canceled from a random ass vid that showed up on my recommended feed

they didn't even bring Gandhi back for season two :(

I think I heard wat went wrong is that the original creators got the show greenlit in 2017 0r somthing but then another movie they wrote, SPIDERVERSE, fucking exploded at the same time and suddenly they had to hand off writing the show to some other people

thats why the show sucks. Its a shame because I know of a lot of the artists who worked on the new show, they were awesome and its not their fault that anything went wrong.

Okay can I ask real quick, what is it with the hatedom of Helluva boss saying that Vivze's style is bad. Like why, or her writing, or literally anything associated with her. Do they understand she's not the only writer, she not the only artist, not the only animator. That what she is, is a director of a story. The Voice actors all offer improv, the animator and storyboarders add to the story if they want to, like Millie getting dragged in the second ep.

Also do they understand none of their criticism will be met, because that's not how animation works. Like at all, especially indie. I guarantee you Viv is writing Season 3 as I write this, not Season 2. So your criticism can't be met, and if it is. It's because of a realization of SpindleHorse before you offered it.

I feel like none of them understand writing either, I've heard people getting angry Viv didn't have a plan for the story. But news flash, not every writer does. I write, I love writing my own stories. And GUESS WHAT I do the same God damn thing. I have the beats in the story planned, but no idea how to get there. I WRITE AS I GO, and go back to revise. That's writing everyone. It's not always a planned process.

Also I won't be the last person to say this,

If you don't like the show or fandom, then don't FUCKING watch it. Don't harass enjoyers of the show when they offer feedback to your criticisms, don't call characters hateful names, and don't act like trauma doesn't play a role in anything. We can't have another Steven Universe incident. Just let people watch a show in peace.

Also once again, this is a reimagined version of Hell. Not everything is the same as the source here (just wanted to point that out)

GOOD SHIT:

At least my wife was there for a little bit and he was sexy

Also he got to punch mephone in the face like 3 times. I think that's my favorite part I wish the whole episode was literally just him beating the shit out of mephone and nothing else

Knife (and possibly mepad) permadeath was kind of a bold move tbh I'll give them that. I was afraid of them going full blast "everyone lives and is happy forever" on the ending so I'm glad they didn't

Mephone acknowledging that he's kinda fucked up and the fact the contestants don't all just instantly forgive him and act like he did nothing wrong ever in his life. That's another thing I was afraid of

Also I Guess 4S being there again was kind of cool although I didnt especially enjoy the scenes with him at least he was there

BAD SHIT:

BOX. The last minute twist of "btw they've all been casually dragging around this literal corpse the entire time" was so bizarre it felt like something some fan would come up with as an edgy creepypasta ass theory that no one actually likes. I don't think anyone out there was thinking "oh boy I hope they devote a large chunk of the finale to focusing on fucking box of all characters"

Also the fact everyone's been misgendering her this whole time?? Yes I saw what brian said about it representing that no one really knew her as a person or w/e but it still feels like a really weird choice to me. Now we have not one but two characters who are misgendered for most of the show. Awesome

Obviously I did not enjoy my wife dying. Like I guess I can't complain about this too much bc he's the villain it was very unlikely he Wasn't going to die but still. Especially considering the specific way he died it was just weird and stupid and felt like nothing more than wanting to play into the unfunny joke the fans have been making over and over for the past however many years

I wish they had done anything more with him than just making him Generic Evil Villain Guy Who Kills People. Idk how to put into words what I would've wanted instead but the little bit of screentime we get from him in this ep is very underwhelming. Can we just remove all of box's scenes and replace them with some insight into cobs' backstory or some more interesting dialogue/interactions with mephone/Literally Anything Else Please

As funny as the Meeple Sword is it's also kind of odd. This is a nitpick but I feel like it'd make more sense for it to be a gun or smth more high tech than just a box cutter with the meeple logo on it unless there's some specific reason for that that I'm missing

Why did suitcase try to get mephone to eat a piece of his not-really-dad's burnt corpse. I know it was a joke but like what the fuck man. Why did she do that.
