Hey! I'm an aspiring author/artist who is working on a few original stories and I'm thinking about posting them on Tumblr. I'm curious what your experiences were when posting the Hels to Pay story on this platform. It is very creator friendly? Did you find it easy to build a community? I know your people are all mcyt (Life series/Hermitcraft) people, so it's probably a different situation than I'm in since I'm working on an original story. One of them is written like a novel and the other one is a comic, and I'm not sure if one would work better on Tumblr. I'm fairly new here, only been using Tumblr for a few months
Also, off topic, but I love all your work and I can't wait to see more :D
aw hey there! hmm that’s an interesting question… i’ve done a lot of different fics in different fandoms over the years, but HTP was the first time i posted a fic series solely on tumblr (only uploading to A03 after it was already finished and i haven’t even gotten them all up yet HAH) so it was def a different experience. and i’ve also posted a webcomic here w lunarcrown so i feel like i can speak on that too.
i’m very fortunate to have gotten a great response to the series, even starting from the first chapter. there are many regular readers who always enthusiastically reblog each chapter or share their thoughts via ask. analyses, theories, even fan art… it really makes writing a pleasure when i see how excited ppl are for each update.
but i’m gonna be honest, building a community around a creative work is much easier when there’s art involved. i’ve seen it in my own works and in other popular works in various fandoms. it’s just the way people work, art is more eye-catching and easier to hook you in, let you know right away if it’s something you’re interested in, or pique curiosity. so with mel making amazing art about the au (her and i inspiring each other w art and writing in an endless cycle), i felt like it was fairly easy to build a following. every time she draws a scene from the fic, it has the chance to reach someone new and get them interested in the au, where it came from.
mind you, this isn’t the first time i’ve collabed with mel, and we’ve both been posting our works on tumblr for a while, even if not in the mcyt fandom. so it was prob better received than if we were brand new. our fancomic did fairly well too for that reason, we were both kinda established in the fandom with our own works before we started publishing a comic. while it featured a main character, it also heavily featured an oc and was very different to canon so it honestly felt more like an original story. it was just familiar enough to bring ppl in, get them to buy into the original concept we brought to it. that’s why a lot of my stories are aus i think, they let me work with a familiar setting or familiar characters but then put my own spin on them.
i’ll also say, while i’ve yet to publish a completely original work, i’ve also done fics that heavily featured ocs before (and even an oc x canon ship) and it’s definitely harder to get ppl to invest. it’ll take more time and probably just more consistency, posting frequently enough to stick in ppl’s minds, so try not to get discouraged! i’ve seen other creators do things like post a really gripping art piece with no context, or do a lil animation trend for their oc, or even make a bunch of memes that’d fit their character or story to help grab people’s interest.
of course, everyone and every story is different so you may find smth else that works for you! and i’ll say that based on experience, it’s easier to get a following for original content if you’ve already built a base from fandom-related works. like, for example, the fic i wrote with an oc ship had wayyy fewer views/comments than the other fics i wrote for that fandom, BUT i’d often get ppl saying “i came from your other work and decided to give this a shot and it was great!” so ppl are more willing to test out original content when they’re already assured that they enjoy your work.
none of this is a hard and fast rule, ofc. i’ve seen fics gain massive fandom popularity without a dedicated artist behind them, though it often helps when a popular fandom artist reads and gets inspired to make fanart, then it really takes off. i also know there are plenty of original stories that have independently achieved great success (as in, not published by a studio. just webtoon or youtube or similar methods) so anything’s possible! like i said, this is just general advice based on my own experiences.
ANYWAY. i think i got a bit off topic but hopefully that helped give u some insight! best of luck with everything 💪

oh ok this is going to be an entire essay. Oh fuck. Okay yall buckle up i have a lot of thoughts on this topic let's go
Inventory Headcanons in the MCYT Universe, specifically relating to Fanworks and Common Interperetations of the Minecraft Inventory in art and writing
+ my personal ideas for how it works because yippee autism
Part 1: How the Minecraft Inventory Works Inside the Game
Okay, starting off simple here. If you are reading this, then you probably know how the Minecraft inventory system works. I do not care. I am covering all of the bases here.
This is a screenshot of the Minecraft inventory! (I am aware that it was taken before the update that added the offhand slot, but bear with me here.)
All of the slots that are shown here except for the armor slots can hold any 64 items or blocks, with exceptions for containers of liquids, tools, armor, and weapons (nonstackable). Exceptions are also made for snowballs, eyes of ender, ender pearls, and buckets, which stack up to 16. The crafting grid can contain any 64 items as well, but these don't stay in place after you exit the inventory screen.
All of these slots are carried physically on the player itself, which has caused a LOT of discussion amongst the Minecraft community on how the fuck this 6-foot-tall square man is able to hold uhhhh [checks notes] 4 billion pounds of gold. Damn.
The answer, naturally, is that this is a very simplistic video game not meant to be realistic at all (it's cubes, goddamnit) and Steve can just do that. Moving on.
For the purposes of this essay, we are going to be completely ignoring the physical feats of this inventory and focus specifically on the mechanics of it.
1a: The Boring Stuff (Mechanics of How it Actually Works)
The inventory can be accessed by pressing a button on your keyboard, Switch joycon, phone, Samsung Smart Fridge, VR controller, or whatever the fuck you guys are playing Minecraft on these days. Here's a list of the default settings used to open the Minecraft inventory.
PC or anything with a keyboard: E
Xbox 360, Xbox One controller: Y
PlayStation 3, 4, and Vita controllers: The green triangle
Nintendo Switch and Wii U (wait WHAT): X
Mobile Devices: The … on the right hand side of the hotbar
Items go into the hotbar first when picked up and into the top-right corner of the inventory first if the inventory is empty and the hotbar is full.
You can close the inventory by pressing more buttons on the keyboard which I won't include here. Just look it up.
1b: Shulker Boxes and +NBT Chests
The shulker box is a placeable item in game that is obtained by visiting the End. It has 27 item slots, which is 9 less than the full player inventory, and unlike chests and barrels it does not drop all of its contents onto the floor upon being broken. You cannot access the contents of shulker boxes while they are inside of your inventory.
If you placed 27 stacks of gold blocks into 36 shulker boxes and placed all of those inside of your inventory, that would be a fuck ton of gold in there. This is a well-known fact.
Also in Creative mode you can middle-click a filled chest and get the entire chest plus its contents right in your inventory which will be there which I wanted to mention. Oh right. Creative mode. I should pr
1c: The Creative Mode Inventory
You can access the entirety of the game's materials in Creative mode except for a select few of them, which players have naturally figured out how to get anyways.
1d: INFORGOT TO MENTION THIS BUT YOU CAN MAKE ACTUAL MODIFICATIONS TO THE IN-GAME INVENTORY.
With resource and data packs, you can change the color and opacity of your inventory. You can also hover over shulker boxes to view their contents without having to actually place them on the ground and open them.
Modifications to the game (colloquially shortened to "mods") can also increase the inventory size. I will not be focusing on these because the possibilities are literally endless here and I am tired.
Part 2: A Slightly Unhinged Analysis on Fanworks and Fanart on General that I have Pulled Straight Out my Ass.
Okay. So we have an inventory. How the hell does this translate to fanart, fanfiction, etc?
For the answer to this, we are going to have to take a look at how people actually take the universe of Minecraft and translate it to a semi-realistic or realistic style. You thought it was going to be a straightforward post about interperetations of inventory in Minecraft but it was me, Dio! I should really turn this post into a video essay.
2a: Canon Compliance, Canon Complicity, and This Is Only Technically Minecraft but I Have To Add It Here Anyways for the Sake Of My Autism
Generally in fanworks, there is a scale on how strict the work keeps to the actual canon interperetation of the universe. This also applies to the stories being told within the universe but don't worry about it I'm not poking that lion today.
The points I have labeled on the scale (really oversimplified) are:
Type 1 (Hold very strict to the game mechanics and how the inventory works within the game.)
Type 2 (Still within the universe of Minecraft, or in a setting that at least resembles Minecraft, but with some creative liberties taken with how game mechanics and inventories work- sometimes completely ignoring them for the sake of whatever the creator chooses.)
Type 3 (Not even in Minecraft at all. I'm only including this here for the amount of characters from roleplays that are placed in other video game settings or just fuckin' into real life.)
I think those explain themselves and if they don't then I have failed as a writer.
Part 3: The Part People Actually Clicked On The Readmore For (Types of Inventory Descriptions and Depictions in Fanworks)
3a: Text-Based Works (Fanfiction and Meta-Posting)
Generally in Minecraft-based or Minecraft-adjacent settings (type 1 and 2 works), authors either do not mention the inventory at all, bring it up in passing but do not explain how it works, forego the inventory entirely in favor of real-world storage solutions like pockets, bags, and boxes (almost entirely restricted to Type 2 works), or come up with creative in-universe ways to explain the inventory, some of which use the Minecraft enchantment system.
Authors who do not mention the inventory or mention it but don't explain how it works in the universe can't really be expanded on due to its meaning meant to be interpreted by the reader.
Of the authors who do elaborate on their inventory systems, there are a couple ways I have seen this done:
Real-world solutions (pockets, bags, etc), sometimes used in conjunction with fantasy solutions.
Edited real-world solutions, such as infinite pockets or small bags always on the player's person.
Sigils, magical objects, enchantments, and things of that sort that allow the player to access their inventory via gestures or tactile movements. This also includes the use of holographic displays and in-game commands.
Straight-up summoning or storing the relevant items at will.
This gets an honorable mention because it's fucking hilarious but there was this one tumblr post like "the player says e and teleports into a pure white room"
I KNOW there's more out there but these are the examples I've seen around Tumblr and ao3.
3b: Visuals-Based Works (Fanart, including comics, animatics, and posters)
Most visual interperetations of the Minecraft inventory are type 1 or just use the "real-world solutions" option. You don't see a lot of these in the wild in my experience, but from the things I've seen, some popular visualizations of the Minecraft inventory include:
Holograms and command screens, often used in conjunction with the in-game chat as a multitool
Straight-up summoning at will
Backpacks! People draw them to look SO COOL on a character-by character basis.
all of these designs fucking slap so hard by the way i dont make the rules. mcyt artists are out here doing the work of renaissance painters for zero dollars and next to zero credit
3c: Other Forms of Media (Live-Action Adaptions and Plays, I Guess?)
I have ZERO idea how someone would translate the Minecraft inventory to a real-life setting but I assume the result would be a Type 3 real-world solution, due to real life not having magic and also not being in the Minecraft universe.
If anyone ever figures out how to carry 162 million pounds of gold on their person without instantly eating shit and dying, firstly I respect and fear you secondly hit me up my back fucking sucks and I have too many books in my backpack at any given time.
3d: Customization Within Universes and Cross-World Universal Items
Many artists in the MCYT fandom, whether their wheelhouse be writing or visual art, have been in several subsections of the fandom or are actively in several at once. Due to the overlap in creator circles and the fact that Minecraft is over ten years old at this point, this is quite normal and the same creator behind a character may be on several different servers or have several different characters currently being played at the same time.
Due to this, many artists and writers have developed different designs for several iterations of the same character, for lack of a better way to explain it. This can be expressed in clothing changes, nonhuman characteristics, and, a common one that popped up alongside the rise of the DSMP, universal communicators.
Communicators are not in the game as a physical object. Rather, they are an entire fan-made concept that allows the characters to chat universally across a server they're in, no matter how far away. (Hermitcraft is an interesting case here. I'm looking at you, Solar. I saw that radio range comment in DATD.)
Since inventories do not share their contents across multiple worlds, the same is also true for most fanworks including them. Nevertheless, there are some exclusions and more permanent items on some characters, varying between artist and character. Some of these include:
Emotionally significant items (i.e ones that remind them of friends, family, lovers, etc)
Little trinkets hung from belts or keychains
Items that aren't really affixed to the character but are either shown in the character's Minecraft skin or are prominent in fanon (i.e, Slimecicle's glasses, Xisuma's helmet having admin-y properties, Pixlriffs' Empires SMP Season 2's character having glasses and sometimes a knee brace)
These items and how they may apply across some servers but not all could be an entire post of their own. Fanon is huge and I'd love to document that but that is Not the point of this essay. Maybe later.
On the subject of different designs for different characters, I'd like to bring up:
Sort of relevant to section 3d: different inventories depending on characters
Basically, some characters could have bags. Some have holograms. Some have magical tattoos or sigils that let them access it. Some defy all known laws of God or man and do some crazy shit with their inventories just because they can. It all depends on the artist or author's preferences, baby!
This often is related to headcanons and character designs. It can also vary for server, universe, etc.
Which NOW brings me to,
Section 4: Thoughts? You have thoughts on this? Share your thoughts maybe?
yeah i have no consistent anything for anything. really it just depends on the setting and what i'm in the mood for.
for example, in our Type Two fics like Ashes AU and Twice, generally the characters use real-world solutions with modifications (enchanted bags, etc). But for quicker oneshots and crackfics, we tend to elaborate on inventory space and let the game mechanics do all the work.
The Summary:
Fandom is huge and theres so much layers to this shit its legitimately unreal. I could write an entire thesis paper on the MCYTblr side of things alone and I might just do that when I hit college, if I ever do. For now, though, I'm just gonna sit here wondering why the fuck I dedicated an entire section to how the minecraft inventory works like what the fuck dude. why did i do that.
thanks for reading. i write words. follow perhaps if you would like to see more?

Question.
So, I found you through the [blank] failure to develop a cool social experiment in viddy gaem post and was struck by both your enthusiasm on the topic of linguistics and the way you conveyed your thoughts on the matter. Really good stuff all around.
TBH that was enough to decide to follow you but I know only a little about Homestuck. Do you also perchance post about linguistics (and maybe MCYT, or was that a one-off think aloud)? What all are you interested in? :0
OKAY so i primarily post homestuck thats... definitely a thing! (i tend to do this a LOT. its a great webcomic and i loooove the art and analyses people make of it and i also make analyses of it) but frankly more than anything i just reblog posts that make me laugh! linguistics is my special interest since middle school and i love the way language is formatted and how people learn from it. for context i have dyslexia and often struggle with wording things in ways that people think is normal so its like an endless fascination to try to find what is "normal" and what is "weird" in terms of how people word sentences
im not going to lie i don't reeeeally post much mcyt content but i do actively watch qsmp out of an interest in linguistics (plus. it is pretty funny!) however i dont really post much about it! (though i was a religious technoblade watcher from when i found out about him in 2018 to... um yeah. so i will reblog the occasional art of him.) i do love minecraft the game though ive had an account since 2012 and i do post about it quite a bit :) especially mods i love modding that game to hell and back to watch it break in new and fascinating ways. otherwise ummmmm.... i kind of post about whatever is on my mind! so i end up posting quite a lot because i am a chronic overthinker and love to hear my own voice. i also like fashion and i am a huge huge huge huge dark souls (+ elden ring) fan!
oh and i collect anime figures! (i do not post about this much) this also entails anime but i tag almost every fandom accordingly ^_^!!!! less so out of blacklist and more so out of me wanting to find posts HAHA. and then of course i collect clown dolls and old porcelain dolls from thrift stores but i think those are just fun :)

Thank you guys so much for the responses! Y’all have provided me with some very insightful input. I ended up receiving a little more than 80 responses! Many of them brought up interesting points about the scope of the topic. But I will get into that later, Let's talk about what I found!
QUICK DISCLAIMER!! The sample size is relatively small and is mostly made up of people who follow me. Those who follow me would most likely have similar opinions, therefore the data may be skewed in favor of some Roleplay plays when compared to others. The conclusions will also have my personal opinions so please feel free to take this information with a grain of salt. To start with Demographics, I believe to the surprise of no one, The majority of the people who filled out the poll are queer.
While this is something that I was aware of, it is fascinating to see how queer the greater MCYT fandom space is in numbers. I believe this is similar to the effect DND has. In which a game with endless possibilities allows for a safe space for experimentation with identity and sexuality.
Do you think a Minecraft Roleplay provides a unique way to tell a story and do you prefer Youtube or Twitch as a platform?
I put these next two together as I do not have much to say about it. Most people prefer to watch Minecraft Roleplay content on Youtube. Youtube content can be shorter and the stories they tell can also be more accessible. In Twitch Roleplays, much of the Lore and Story can only be discerned after hours of streams. In this case, not too many people have time to watch dozens of hours of streams in their day-to-day life. It also seems that audiences are optimistic about Roleplays being used as a medium to tell a story.
What Makes a Roleplay Good?
Here are some of the interesting responses I got to this question. Many state that the novelty of Minecraft as a medium to tell stories is one of the reasons they watch Roleplays. Many find the appeal of different perspectives to be ingenious, especially when you can see the perspectives of the “villain” and the “hero.” Many also stated that they find the unpredictable nature of improv to be a plus. As it can be an in-the-moment stroke of genius or a silly bit that became “canon.” The biggest thing that people state makes a good roleplay is Passion and Communication.
Do Good Roleplays Need NPCs and Multiple CCs?
Interestingly, the community states that good roleplay does not need Multiple CCs or NPCs. I was not surprised by the responses to NPCs but was surprised by the responses about CCs. The current roleplay sphere is dominated by SMPs, which typically have multiple CCs. This is greatly contrasted to older roleplays, which typically had few CCs and many NPCs (Aphmau’s MCD, Newscapepro’s Roleplays, etc, etc.).
What Makes a Roleplay Bad?
Hmm, I see a trend here. Miscommunication and lack of player interest were the most common answers to this question. Audience members can tell when players are no longer interested in the Story and can tell when two characters have no chemistry. Most people singled out the DSMP’s ending as a victim of Miscommunication. Most said that the ending had too many plot threads that were brought up that had no resolution. Many others state that they could feel when the DSMP players no longer had an interest in continuing a story or playing in the world for that matter. Now I never watched the DSMP so I am not too sure about the claims, however, about 10 responses mentioned the previous gripes with the SMP. Which is a little less than an eighth of the sample size. Maybe something to look into or to ask when further researching.
What was your first Series and how did you discover it?
These next two graphs became a bit messy as many people put in RPs that were not in the initial poll. I learned a lot about different RPs! 29.8% of people got into roleplays through the DSMP, with MCD coming in second with 19% and the Empires SMP in third with 14.3%. The majority of people discovered their series through Youtube recommended videos or their favorite CCs.
What made you a fan of this Series?
The majority of Poll responses state that Characters and Stories made them a fan of their respective stories. I honestly thought that the fan community would have had more responses. Fandom in MCYT, creates many AUs and Designs for characters that have attracted many others into the fandom space. So this poll gave me a bit of a surprise!
What is your Favorite Roleplay Series?
QSMP is the favorite of 28.6% of poll takers with Empires SMP being the favorite of 26.2% of poll takers. QSMP is relatively new to the RP space and has made a monumental impact on the fandom. Very comparable to the height of the DSMP. Many responses also singled out QSMP as an excellent example of an RP.
Are you still interested in RPs?
While the majority say Yes, it seems that few have either grown out of their MCYT phases or have become jaded with the unsatisfactory end of the RPs they watch. Currently, most are optimistic about future Minecraft Roleplays.
My Thoughts and TLDR
TLDR: According to the Poll responders: good roleplay has interesting characters, interesting story hooks, and good communication between CCs. The Poll responders also prefer Youtube as a way to watch RPs. Many would recommend either QSMP or Empires SMP to anyone interested in Minecraft Roleplays.
My Thoughts: Many people asked me how I define Roleplay. After some thinking, I believe it is unfair to categorize something with only 1 POV character with something that has 20 POVs. I would have to make a concrete definition for RPs. Therefore, in future research, I will limit the Roleplays I study to the ones published before 2020. Instead of a video on what makes a good roleplay, I think I will make one on the initial rise and fall of Roleplays. I would love to get into what makes a good roleplay, but that will be shelved for a later date as it was more complicated than I initially thought. I hope that you all enjoyed the poll and found the information as interesting as I have! Thank you guys again for all the responses! And to the Rats SMP fans, I wish you luck as you guys seem to be fighting for your lives based on your responses.
Some Other Fun/ Fascinating Responses I Got:
Howdy Yall, Im collecting some research about Minecraft Roleplays
I want to know what makes a good let's play, as well as see what people think is the best roleplay. Please share around to get more results! Emails will not be collected and only 1 response per email.
Trying this again and seeing If I can get a few more responses, I'd like to make sure I have a good idea of what the community thinks!
I will post the results once the poll closes! Thank you!
#poll#dsmp#qsmp#empires smp#hermitcraft#results#I finally was able to compile all the info!#it was so so much!#Thank yall!#It was very informative!#sunny speaks

hiiiii okay stupid time.
SO. I’d like to start off with some YouTubers!
my first one is astralspiff— he’s mainly around the indie horror scene, fnaf n shit yknow, he’s known for speedrunning and breaking shit. I quite like him and his videos tend to be longer, so if you know anything about security breach and wanna watch one guy tear it up, I’d recommend watching some of his shit. although be warned if you start binging his content hes made like two dream dragon city jokes when he’s been sponsered (yes I know how many I’ve been keeping count. sorry for my droloisms) . he’s never said anything like outright bad against dream he’s just been like. “DREAM DRAGON peepeoStare” as far as I’m aware. I let him get away with it because it’s been just the tiniest slights and he’s very involved in speedrunning communities. let’s be real the dream cheated minecrfat speedrun thing is the least of our problems.
TWO. RTgame. he does variety, his vids are shorter. I’ve been watching him for I think five years so he has to go on this list. be warned he is MILDLY, very MILDLY, involved in the mcyt community as he’s been in mcc and used to make some videos with wilbur (fun fact tahts actually how I found out about wil, way back when)
THREE. literally. among us lobbies done by itshafu and dumbdog. there’s this group I watch of those two and a few others (they’re kinda otv aligned I believe) and I quite like them, and Tina’s in some of their older lobbies!! there’s so much content there it’s practically endless for a good while.
oh and if u want like horror arg whatever stuff watch nightmind/nick nocturne.
okay. now. if you want minecraft? I have to recommend you hermits. IM AORRRRYYYY. I’m sorry I’m sorry but I really have a lot of fun with them. now I’m not gonna start with grian and scar, although I do like them, because their stans are kind of. rabid.
SO! my recommendations areee
builders:
bdoubleo100. he’s insane. he’s so dramatic and so fun. he’s also a good builder whoda thought. he’s very silly, I quite like him. he is incredibly dramatic and loud though so if you’re looking for something chill you will not find it with bdubs. he is a yeller.
pearlescentmoon! she’s pretty chill but will also be Incredibly silly at a moments notice. she likes bits. she’s also a really good builder whoda thought! her stuff usually gets compared to literal artistry.
zombiecleo!!! cleo is devious but usually low energy. she is like the perfect example for a mean bisexual. she’s scary if you watch any pov but her own. if you watch like an etho pov he’s terrified of her and SHE HERSELF is terrifying. but if you watch her pov she’s like “I have no idea what I’m doing what the hell—“ I think it’s because she used to be a teacher. many a hermit has attested for her effective scolding. mostly bdubs.
redstoners:
I have to say etho. ethoslab. so bad. I love etho so bad he’s so weird and silly and a little awkward. he’s a bit of a recluse but he’s awfully endearing. I don’t know shit about redstone so I can’t like actually attest to his skill, but I can tell you he has invented things and they are named after him. he has the longest running Minecraft let’s play. look up fundy hbomb awesamdude or tubbo and the ethoslab right after one of their names and you will see clips of etho being gushed over.
tangotek! he sounds like a cartoon character he literally could’ve been a voice actor I bet. he’s got the perfect voice for it. he also makes a lot of weird noises. they are very funny. I once again cannot attest for redstone skill because I am an idiot, but he’s been in a Minecraft cave for like six months making a game IN THE GAME. he’s fun. also a little crazy. mostly fun.
docm. there is. things wrong with him. if you poke him he will sucker punch you. watching people mess with him is so fucking funny. you get someone to blow up one of his walls? he gives you ur number one sought after item on a silver platter and then it blows up ur friends front door. you fill his base with chickens as revenge and he not only puts some of those chickens into your base, but he also DUPES THOUSANDS OF DRAGON EGGS and then places like a few hundred all over u and ur neighbors bases. you challenge him to a robot fight and he builds additional robots after you both lose to blow you up. you write live laugh love in his base and he replaces it with a fancy sign with an animation and then it blows up ur rebellious camp outside his base…………you blow up his tunnel bore accidentally, beg for forgiveness, and he puts STATIC WITHER SKULLS, not wither heads, wither SKULLS, THE PROJECTILES that withers SHOOT AT YOU, up above ur base to just sit there menacingly. and then all that other stuff I just listed before the tunne bore thing, actually happens after with you and that other guy you blew up the tunnel bore with.
OKAAAAYYY tv shows. honestly a little while ago I watched like every marvel movie over the span of a week and a half just because I had the time to waste.
ummmm, I’d recommend rewatching old stuff you enjoy and haven’t seen in a while-refreshers can be quite enjoyable.
most of my Netflix recs are cartoons ngl anyway here we go. * will be elaborated on after
disenchantment, kipo and the age of wonderbeasts, CENTAURWORLD*, the sea beast (that’s actually a movie), Carmen sandiego, the umbrella academy, community, sweet tooth*, wendell and wild )another movie), the imperfects*, I am not okay with this*.
*centaurworld is. well it’s stupid. it’s mostly stupid but the VILLAIN… oh the villain of that show is. chefs kiss. if you have the time to watch it I’d recommended it but it will be. fairly stupid as times. fair warning.
*sweet tooth just got a second season, and I actually haven’t finished it because of Netflix shenanigans and also. as a Netflix original it will probably be cancelled. so I watched up to the end of season 2 episode six. it works as an overall happy ending except one thing that I choose to ignore ^-^
* the imperfects. I believe this how has been cancelled and does. have a cliff hanger ending? but like. the overarching plot was solved it just kinda pulled something out at the end that you can just ignore I think.
*I am not okay with this was cancelled after its first season and I will never forgive Netflix for that. it does have a cliff hanger ending but I loved that show so much I’d recommend it anyway.
Disney plus recs I guess?
watch the Star Wars clone wars shit. it’s good. I promise. the original series has like seven seasons you’ll be eating a while. if you watch that I’d recommend the bad batch after.
honestly I’d recommend miraculous ladybug. if you want to watch stupid stupid shit. it’s a so bad it’s good (to me at least) half the time I was scolding at my tv like I was marrinettes mother.
I’d recommend the three guardians of the galaxy films.
and yhhhh idk what else.
I’m tempted to rec music but I’d be here so much longer. maybe I’ll make a separate thing for that
okaaaay postponing talkies bc I kinda already did it so I’m gonna do another silly think instead called recommending other shit because with the interpersonal fucking drama we get I personally at least like to pick up something completely different for the time being to focus on
