the music industry is a festering disease but pre-streaming era it was normal to find music that didnt persay have to go through loops to be made and distributed... why are there no riot anthems anymore.

i also think and truly believe the commodification of music into only being able to be listened to through streaming services consistently and the lack of monopoly busting of radio stations has perhaps had deleterious affects on people. like i can say you should burn cds rip music all i want but that does not change the fact most people are using streaming services... like how can one stick it to the man when the man has more control than ever thought possible on what music the vast populations can listen to.
