I wanted to avoid posting about this cause I prefer not experiencing spoilers and experiencing it all for the first time when I watch it with mio fratello but I have so many thoughts up in my teeny lil brain I just gotta post em.

First: Hank's gonna be Cyborg Supes! That was pretty obvious seeing how random his death was in the finale but it's still cool. I like how he's got the Lexcorp symbol on his chest.

In the bottom left you can see a Kryptonian (Kara it looks like?) with three other individuals, one of whom seems to be bearded. They all have long trenchcoat jacket things. Also on the left is Intergang. I guess they just needed to fill the screen up, unless these guys just casually go back to fighting Clark in S3.

Gods I hope Conner is the one who makes Lex bald that would be so in-character and funny. But also we got a Conner of color! Thank you MAWS for making the cast diverse cause the longer I stare at an all-white cast the further they all look like Zac Efron to me. Although his origin may be different since both Clark and Lex are so mela-non I think a sunburn would actually just kill them. Maybe he'll be experimented on and given the powers (and then at that point you could do animal testing and give us Krypto? Please??). Maybe he just has a different skin tone and it's not that deep. Idk but I can't wait to find out.

Like, a lot of people headcanon that Peter is obsessed with Hamilton, and Broadway is literally in NYC. Do you think Peter's ever been in the middle of a supervillain fight and swung down to rescue someone, and once he'd gotten them to safety been like, Lin Manuel Miranda???????

Just thinking about how during Twitchcon Paris I saw French people saying that it was so nice to see people talking positively about their country, not as the punchline of a dismissive joke, enjoying their city. And how during the QSMP Brazil meetup I saw Brazilian people talking about how nice it was to see the different cultural aspects of their country celebrated instead of ignored, the food and the drinks and the landscape. And I hope we can remain positive when people descend on the States.

Isn't it funny how today it’s pretty common belief on here that the idea of 'cringe' and shaming of people who like 'cringe' things is bad. That the big fandoms back in the day that people like to make fun of - superwholock and john green books and twilight and homestuck and whatever was popular at the time - certainly had elements very deserving of critique, but how that critique largely drowned under people pointing and laughing at, the mostly teen girl, fans. Like, we are pretty agreed that this was bad, right? That it’s cruel to actual people and makes it difficult to have genuine conversations about the actual flaws of the media and fandoms in question, right??

And yet here we are today and I see people doing the exact same thing to newer fandoms with the defense that the fans are cringe or, if you're trying to be all moral about it, problematic and possibly evil for liking a popular media. Like, I don’t care about reylo or our flag means death or taylor swift or romantasy novels to any particular extent. I don’t have a horse in this race. But I keep seeing their fans treated as acceptable targets for harrassment or bullying. Posts talking about how immoral they are and then their screenshoted 'proof' is mostly just. Women being passionate about a thing that they love, or god forbid daring to defend it or being bummed about everyone else harrassing them. And I think it's kind of scary how we keep repeating this cycle of designating a media as inherently problematic, therefore all of its fans are problematic, therefore they are deserving of every ounce of mocking and public shaming they get.

I feel like recently there’s been a fundamental misunderstanding of Taylor by newer fans. I think it stems from fans choosing to view her not as a human being, but rather seeing her as an infallible being, content creator or something else and leaving no room for who she actually is outside of this image they have created of her.

I actively try to forget celebrity knowledge. Who are they? Don't know. Oh they're dating someone? I don't care. Their sexuality? What, am I marrying them? Their interests? I simply do not see.

After being introduced to movie audiences as part of the ensemble cast of The Outsiders, Ralph Macchio got his first starring role in 1984's The Karate Kid. It's a role, of course, that has defined his life. The success of the film and its sequels made Macchio a bona fide Hollywood star, though he would later complain that the role of Daniel LaRusso had made it difficult for him to get other roles as he grew older. Eventually, though, he softened his stance to the point that he welcomed a return to the role in Cobra Kai, the sequel series now in ts sixth (and final) season. We've spoken to Macchio many times over the years, and he told us that, despite the ups and downs he's had with the character, The Karate Kid has never left him.

Cobra Kai, including the first part of the final season, is currently streaming on Netflix.
