We have *a lot* of asks about Blake Lively's lawsuit, and I'm definitely most interested in the details leaked in this article. ^^ (Worth a read if you're interested in a more forensic analysis of this PR saga vs tabloid/social media headlines!!!)

But first, three points:

1) Baldoni bringing in a crisis PR team, and one with experience defending abuse allegations always struck me as overkill for what was initially a creative differences/ego clashing narrative. That makes a lot more sense now.

2) Even with all of this additional information coming to light I'm not sure Lively did herself many favors during the promotion of this film/her side projects??? particularly if she suspected a smear campaign was in progress or that this kind of lawsuit was a potential outcome. She had the backing of a major studio and super-powered PR as well, so I think she was failed and there are parties beyond misogyny to blame.

3) She is taking a huge risk with this lawsuit. Her career and reputation (professional and public) could take a further hit even as the accusations against Baldoni finally take off. see: Amber Heard, Rose McGowan, Courtney Love. Unlikeable women making allegations, however supported or valid, get a *special* kind of backlash (now we're back to talking about misogyny.)

I'm gonna go over the most interesting (to me) bits in a separate post and eventually get to the backlog of asks unrelated to this post (interestingly they are all complaining about famous women in some way shape or form 😭🙃 let's spread the haterade around this holiday season y'all.) 🌞
