I can’t express how abandoned we are and how broken I feel going through this over and over and over again. those images published today should be permeating the consciousness of everyone obsessively posting about this conflict and they never even break through. the dehumanization is so intense and the lack of empathy and awareness is such a chasm. everything Hamas has done has worked so well, that even other Jews, prominent ones, don’t care and don’t see our people starved to death, tortured, and digging their own graves - or think, deep down, they must somehow deserve it, because they certainly haven’t earned compassion.

the knowledge of the world being like this is impossible to describe too. there’s nothing we can do. there’s no scream or cry loud enough to be heard. there’s no heartbreak bad enough for anyone to stop and recognize it.

I posted so much over the past week or so about “this, and also this” because I stand on my principles and by the necessity to care about human suffering and protecting innocent lives. I still do, they can’t take that from me.

it does not reduce how shattering and wounding to my heart and soul it is to see us so utterly alone.
