Another popular show I despise is Hazin Hotel, sorry!
Well, you remember my post on Fairly Odd Parents and discussing about Butch Hartman, or as I like to call him B*TCH FARTMAN, because he's one of the most punchable people who still work in the animation industry. But I recently heard about this woman called Vivziepop, and I gave her the name VIVZIEPOOP, because she's absolutely disgraceful.
I never watched Hazbin Hotel, I only heard a few songs from it and most of my information is from my friends, who have seen the show. As a religious Christian, I don't feel comfortable watching the show, and even my friends who like the show admit that it's okay that I don't feel comfortable watching it. My friend, Tal, was actually very chill when I told her that I find it offensive, and she only likes the songs. My friend Rae understood, too and she even left the fandom after she saw the Heaven episode and the episode with the r*pe scene. Also, I am aware that it's an adult show and I'm mostly into family friendly animated media, but even adult shows should be careful as well. The Heaven episode was bad enough, but showing an uncensored r*pe scene without a warning is too far! Plus the fact that they were romanticizing it which is utterly disgusting! I mean, even if you don't get offended at the religion part, there's no excuse for the r*pe scene! I shouldn't have to explain why it's bad. He wasn't in love with the guy, he was taking advantage of him for lust! And don't get me started on the songs... like recycled Disney songs! One song sounded more like an Encanto song than the songs from Encanto did. Almost like she's trying to get kids to watch it when it's supposed to be 18+
Another thing, I heard that Vivzie bodyshamed animators who worked for her... ANIMATORS! Who cares what someone's body looks like when they're animating for your show, it's not like they're the stars. I also seen some of the character designs in Hazbin Hotel and that one plus size girl looks very out of place... her chin and everything just looks... off, as if Vivzie doesn't want to actually draw plus size people At least in recent years, Disney added more plus size characters who looked good and I still we got a long way to go, but there should be more bodytype diversity!
Anyway, I'm sorry to people who like Hazbin Hotel but these are the reasons why I despise the show and Vivziepop. If you like the show, fine, but I hope you now understand why I hate it so much. It's the same thing with Fairy Odd Parents and why I despise that show too. If you have different opinion on Hazbin Hotel and FOP, that's fine! Let me know and understand your side, after knowing mine!

Requests are open!
Someone please request something, I’m begging. I have no ideas on what to write!
You can request virtually anything of me(fanfic wise).
But I don’t do:
-incest
-stepbrother or stepsister
-characters that are canonically under the age of 12(they have to at least be in 7th grade, people.)
-fics that go against confirmed character sexualities(such as a male reader x Robin Buckley)
-large age gap (reader has to be at least 18 if I do it)
-shows/books/movies that I haven’t read/seen(it makes me nervous about messing up the character)
-ACTUAL PEOPLE(as in celebrities themselves, not live action characters, i am also talking about real people who have had shows made out of them)
-children x adults(unless platonically)
-rape play, dubcon, CNC, stuff of that nature(the concept makes me uncomfortable)
-toxic!(Character) x reader
I will write a variety of other things and I will write for a VERY LARGE variety of characters and fandoms.
I will write for:
Riddick
Percy Jackson
Tmnt
Magnus Chase
Marvel
Mha
Aot
Harry Potter
Detroit: Become Human
Howl’s moving castle
Epic(2013 movie)
DC
Supernatural
OHSHC
Divergent
EAH & MH
Heartless
Skyrim
Portal
Fnaf
Httyd
Star Wars
Sally Face
Stranger things

Book Blurb: A young woman claims the throne of a realm inspired by Filipino mythology in this YA romantic fantasy, the first in an enchanting new duet by #1 New York Times bestselling author Melissa de la Cruz.
MJ Rodriguez has spent her life hiding in the human world, keeping a heavy secret: She’s half-encanto. As the only child of King Vivencio of the Sirena Court, she’s also next in line for the throne. And now, upon her estranged father’s sudden death, MJ must claim her place as rightful heir.
In wondrous Biringan, the road to the throne is paved with thorns. Without a reigning monarch, the realm has spiraled into disarray. MJ has to win over a backstabbing council that objects to a half-human ruler. And when it looks like her father’s passing wasn’t natural but possibly inflicted by a curse, she must hunt down the sorceress behind this merciless magic.
In a bind, MJ forges an unlikely alliance with the striking Sir Lucas of the feared Sigbin Court, and soon, she loses her heart to the mysterious knight. But with peril looming over Biringan, the princess must decide if she can both open herself to love and carry the weight of the crown.
Review:
When your father dies and you suddenly find yourself inheriting a throne... and only have one month to figure out your magic before your coronation and hopefully surviving until then. MJ Rodriguez has spent her life living in hiding in the human world, she is half-encanto and the only child of King Vivencio of the Sirena Court. She is the rightful heir to the throne and when her father suddenly dies she is pulled back into the world of Biringan. She has to figure out her magic (something that she should have known by now) and only has one month to do so before her coronation... and that also means she has to go to royal magic school and deal with politics as well as trying to figure out the murder mystery surrounding her father's death. With everyone out for the throne and her place being challenged, she'll have to forge alliances and friendships to survive. She finds herself striking up an alliance with Sir Lucas of Sigbin Court, a boy surrounded in mystery and who has found a way to win her heart, and Nix, her newfound friend. This book was suppose to be young adult and MJ is around 17-18 but she read and felt as if she were 14-15. The story itself felt on the younger end of the spectrum, along the lines of Descendants (Disney). Unlike Descendants however, this one did not work for me. MJ has to find her magic in a month but doesn't really work towards trying to find it at all and it just ends up being there in the lat 10%of the book. The book hits all the tropes of : royal magic school, she's not like everyone else, mysterious boy who falls for her, mean pretty girl who is her enemy. Honestly it felt like Descendants without any of the charm or actual moving plot of Descendants. I really wanted to like this because I am always about supporting AAPI stories and characters, and I think this one was just too young for me. This is the first book in a duet and definitely ends with a cliffhanger. I think if you are a young reader around 12-14 and like Filipino mythology, this would be a perfect read for you.
*Thanks Netgalley and PENGUIN GROUP Penguin Young Readers Group, G.P. Putnam's Sons Books for Young Readers for sending me an arc in exchange for an honest review*

Well, it’s December 17. I did not hit my self-imposed goal of getting the next LTR chapter out in under three months. 🤦‍♀️ Sorry, folks. I’d say it won’t happen again, but it probably will.
Tumblr media
If it’s any consolation, I think all the puzzle pieces are there now. I just need time to sit down and put them in the proper order. And I will be doing that; this story is not abandoned. It’s just a question of making time (and let’s be honest, probably ignoring responsibilities) to get it done.
But in case you don’t believe me, here’s a preview…
Bruno breathes.
An exercise learned from a former therapist: in through the nose, one two three four; hold, one two three four; out through the mouth, one two three four; hold again and repeat, as many times as it takes to calm himself enough to function. His movements are slow and deliberate as he makes himself presentable again, but he’s buzzing with adrenaline, every muscle in his body coiled with tension and ready to spring. He can’t turn around, not yet; he has to be ready.
Taking another deep inhale, he schools his features to a calculated neutrality before turning to face his mother, but there’s nothing he can do about his eyes, and she takes an inadvertent step back.
“Mamá,” he says. “Go to bed.”
His voice, too, is carefully modulated, but she knows him. Her mouth works for a moment, no sound escaping, her eyes wide with the fear of what she may have set in motion.
“Brunito,” she whispers finally. “I… I am — “
“Go to bed,” he insists. “Sleep, if you can. We will talk tomorrow.”

Tumblr media
this prompt is adorable i love it (i did change up the last bit just a little though so hope you're okay with that!)
camilo madrigal with a passive aggressive s/o || camilo x fem!reader
pairing(s): camilo x fem!reader
warnings: slight angst (and build up. so much build up)
word count: 4423
you've always been told your attitude is one the more derailing aspects of your personality. lucky for you, one little shapeshifter is willing to overlook your passive aggressive nature.
adults/18+ dni camilo's 15 just remember people go to jail for this
(requests for camilo, isabela, luisa and maribel are open! send in an ask at any time; requests already sent are being worked on <3)
"excuse me, dear, but would you mind taking this plate of empanadas down to señora mazia for me? she mentioned she wasn't feeling well this morning."
you raised an eyebrow at the request, shuffling the laundry basket you held in her hands to look your neighbor straight in the eye. "i'm busy right now. any reason you can't do it yourself?"
señorita yzma chuckled somewhat awkwardly, avoiding your cold gaze with a cough behind her blouse sleeve. "w-well, dear," she stuttered. "you see, i have been very busy with my chores today, and-"
you sighed, and ultimately decided to evade this conversation any longer by taking the plate from the woman's hand with a heavy huff. "it'll be done by sundown," you proclaimed harshly, and walked off without another word.
you weren't a fool. you've heard what the other townspeople have said about you, even ever since you were young; your reputation hadn't always been the best, to say the least.
"hey, isn't she the one who told off señora pala for having to help carry stuff for mirabel madrigal's quinceañera?"
"woah, you're right! wow, i didn't know people could be so mean."
"not to mention that one time she scared off the town's kids with her horrid temper."
"sometimes i can't even believe she's still allowed to live here."
you'd never done half the things they gossiped about. as you had learned from an early age, people loved to twist stories whether it be for personal gain or just entertainment purposes. it was horribly unfair.
however, unbeknownst to you, a certain camilo madrigal knew better.
you hadn't even known he was there that night. it had been quite the long day, having been forced to run all around the encanto to finish all of your chores before the sun fully set in the sky. (including señora mazia's empanadas- sure, they were a bit cold when they were finally delivered, but at least it was done.)
it was around midnight when you decided all of your responsibilities for the day had been completed, and you were exhausted. not only physically, but mentally. so, you had wondered, why not take some time to yourself?
it wasn't recently you had taken to watching the moon as a sort of release from your stress. you had actually developed this habit when you were much younger, when you were always belittled for your attitude towards other children your age. you had stomped off on your own one night, embarrassed and stressed out of your mind, and had accidentally stumbled across the most breathtaking cliff you've ever seen. it was just at the edge of the encanto, overlooking a sea of jungle and extravagant greenery. adorning this cliff, right above your head, sat a full moon in all of its magnificent glory. with this moon came a sudden sea of calm that washed over you, and you'd been hooked ever since.
today felt eerily similar to that night, and you decided to take some time to yourself. so, you snuck out of your home after you were certain the rest of your family was asleep, and began the trek to your beloved cliffside.
as soon as the moon appeared in full view you could feel your tense muscles relax immediately. you settled in your usual spot atop the cliff- a fetal position with your head tipped upwards- and begun your simple yet calming routine: staring at the moon, occasionally looking over to count all of the constellations you could recognize, then back at the moon again.
it was twenty, maybe thirty minutes into your moongazing session when you heard what sounded like a soft gasp from the edge of the clearing behind you. your head swerved to look for the source of the sound, only to see the slightest disturbance in a bush nearby. you rose to your feet to investigate the sound, but there was little to no trace of someone else being there other than the rustling of leaves and other quiet noises all throughout the jungle.
must've been an animal of some sort, you thought to yourself. but as you settled down in your spot once again you couldn't help but feel as if there was someone else watching the moon with you.
---
the days that followed after that night were... interesting, to say the least. somewhere along the line you had attracted the attention of the camilo madrigal, and to your surprise, he was very adamant that you notice his advances. you weren't sure why or even how he knew you existed, but you supposed you could play along.
at first, it was the small things. he had approached you one day seemingly out of the blue, a charming look in his eyes as he offered to take the laundry basket in your arms off your hands. you shrugged, assuming this was just one of the many times the madrigals were instructed to help citizens in the encanto and handed it off to him with a somewhat cold "they just have to be hung up" before wandering off to complete the rest of your chores for the day. still a bit suspicious, however, you looked over your shoulder the second you were about to turn the corner, and when you did so, camilo was happily pinning up each article of clothing with an almost dreamy smile on his face. you were slightly confused, yet now content that he would follow through on the rest of the laundry, and continued on.
the day after, camilo returned, and this time he seemed determined to follow you around similar to a lost puppy looking for its owner. it was certainly endearing, you decided, especially when he attempted to kill a fly or two meandering about near the top of your head as you worked. he offered to help from time to time, however at his displeasure you refused. while you appreciated the thought, you couldn't just rely on him to do everything for you.
plus, said a quieter yet still nagging thought at the back of your head, soon he'll realize you're just as mean as everyone says you are and decide you're not worth his time.
but, weirdly enough, as the days went on this thought was continuously proven to be wrong. nearly every day he offered to help you with your chores or simply followed you around. he chased off pesky bugs, covered conversations for you when it was excruciatingly apparent you weren't up for irritating small talk, or just simply watched you work with what appeared to be admiration glimmering in his olive gaze. not to mention the occasional questions about yourself and what you liked to do. nobody ever stayed around long enough to know half the things you mentioned in fleeting conversation with him. it was... different. unexpected.
so, when about three weeks passed and the time came for camilo to ask you to return the favor, you couldn't find it within you to say no.
"oh, mi alma! there you are. i've been looking all over the encanto for you." there it was again. the nicknames. they weren't all that prominent at first but recently it seemed as if you couldn't get through a single conversation without being called some form of an endearing name from the other.
"camilo, we talked about the nicknames." you put down the crate of oranges you were holding and turned to face him. as you did so you were greeted with a cheeky smile and eyes that made your heart feel like it was about to beat out of your chest. an usual feeling at least.
the shapeshifter hummed, leaning against the wall of the house next to you as you both talked. "i know, i know," he sighed. "but i'm just speaking the truth! how else would you be able to know how much i adore you?"
you'd be lying if you said your face didn't nearly flush at that. you turned your head slightly, assuring your cheeks were out of his field of vision before continuing on with stacking the rest of the crates in their proper places. "you don't have to do any of that," you muttered. "but if you're trying to butter me up you can help me move all these boxes."
camilo chuckled at that, and leaned forward to take the crate you were already holding in your arms in his own. "anything for you, mi vida." he saluted you with another smile and began going to work at your side. on occasion he shapeshifted into someone a bit stronger when he was struggling with carrying a crate, but most of the time when you looked over all you saw was a determined look in his eyes, as if he was trying to prove something. what exactly, you weren't quite sure.
you both worked in silence for a while, moving boxes of apples and various fruits and vegetables onto a small platform for someone to pick up later, before camilo cleared his throat and looked over at you. "say," he began. "mi mama wanted me to help out around casita this afternoon. i thought maybe i could ask you for help, since you-"
"so you were trying to butter me up."
"i-" camilo paused. "i wouldn't call it that. consider it a sort of sweet talking encouragement, eh?"
you rolled your eyes. "that's still the same thing, camilo."
"okay, maybe there was a bit of buttering up, but..." he trailed off with a quiet sigh. "well, would you mind helping out for a while? it wouldn't take all day."
camilo watched you with expectant eyes as you thought about his offer. eventually you sighed and shook your head in resignation. "alright, fine," you conceded. "consider it me paying you back for helping out all the time."
the shape shifter blinked in surprise when you agreed, almost as if he wasn't expecting you to do so. once he recovered from the initial shock camilo smirked cheekily and lifted one of the final boxes from its spot on the floor. "we better hurry then. i may have told mama that i'd only be a few minutes, so she might be a bit..."
a quiet flash of thunder sounded from the now cloudy skies above. "moody?" you sighed.
"just a little bit."
---
"okay, you stay here. i think the cleaning supplies are somewhere upstairs, and while i'd love for this to be the way i introduce you to my family, mama doesn't exactly know i asked you for help."
you raised an eyebrow. "wait. pepa doesn't know i'm here? couldn't you get in trouble for that?" you asked, receiving a laugh from camilo in response. "only if we get caught, mi vida." his sneaky grin wasn't exactly encouraging, but nonetheless you watched him wander off in search of whatever it is you needed to do the necessary chores. la casa madrigal didn't appear to look all that dirty, but you just assumed that was just one of the many magical properties the house contained.
you weren’t exactly known for your patience, and as a result it wasn't even 5 minutes before you started getting antsy. you'd never been in la casa madrigal, excluding some gift ceremonies when you were younger, so it was only now you could truly appreciate the wonder of the house. it was as if the walls and floors were thrumming with power beneath the surface, and you supposed that was entirely possible with how the house seemed to have a mind of its own. the soft smell of roses and other flowers surely grown by isabela added to the tingling sensation the house brought to your senses, and while not exactly calming, you found your irritation beginning to cease the longer you stayed in your spot on the tile floor.
it wasn't long until you spotted a hummingbird chirping happily at a single carnation plant nearby. you assumed it was just extracting nectar from the purple flower and decided to pay no mind, however as soon as you looked away from the animal a slight hum could be heard from its direction. it turned its head to face you, and flew off in a different direction of the house when you made eye contact. or, at least, what you assumed to be eye contact; its eyes were a bit small.
that was... weird, you thought to yourself, and eventually settled with your back to the wall as you waited for camilo to return.
"hi."
you jumped in surprise at the sudden sound, swerving to find where the voice came from only to be greeted with the sight of antonio madrigal. the little boy had a toucan on his left shoulder, and as you took in his appearance you noticed the same hummingbird from earlier was settled precariously on the top of his head.
"uh, hi." you blinked in mild surprise at the calm look on antonio's face. kids typically hated you from first glance, or even tried to pull pranks on you if they were brave enough. antonio, however, just looked at you with a sort of innocent curiosity. a surprising change, yet welcome.
you recovered from your initial astonishment incredibly quickly, and crossed your arms as the young madrigal gazed at you without saying a word. "can i help you?" you asked, an almost defensive tone to your voice as you despised when other people stared at you without warning. antonio just shrugged in response and reached his hand out, allowing the hummingbird to hop down and dangle itself on his finger.
"you wanna come play with us?" he finally asked. "mama's getting onto camilo for not cleaning his room earlier, and bella said you looked lonely."
"bella as in... the bird?" you questioned, sounding a bit hesitant. antonio nodded. "she also said you smelled like oranges."
you clicked your tongue. "oookay." while you weren't exactly keen, you could sense your heart growing softer the longer you looked at antonio and his animals. in all honesty, you had a huge soft spot for kids (not that anyone knew that due to all of the running and screaming the towns children did when they even looked at you) and this was the first time in quite a while one of them wasn't too scared to face you. plus, you coincided, it wouldn't be a bad idea to do something fun while waiting for camilo to return. you had heard him complain on occasion about how long pepa's scoldings could be, and while you weren't all that patient you would feel bad leaving without letting him know much less helping with any of the chores.
"uh, sure," you eventually decided, and it was as if your agreement caused antonio to light up with excitement. "let's go to my room! that's where all of my animals like to stay." he grabbed your wrist with both hands and began pulling you towards the stairs, and to your own surprise, you let him.
---
"so, what exactly did you want to do?" you and antonio were both sitting on the floor of the latter's room - tree? you weren't quite sure - and it was clear with the rigidness of your posture that you were unsure what exactly you were meant to be doing.
"miguel likes to chase sticks. you can throw one if you want." antonio seemed incredibly at ease compared to you, a sight that you would rather die than admit made you envious. the animals inhabiting his room almost seemed to coddle him, as they were constantly circling or snuggling up against him as if he was one of their own. it was certainly an interesting sight to behold.
"right. and miguel is?..." antonio pointed behind your shoulder. "miguel's the jaguar," he explained, and it took everything in your power not to jump out of your skin. "the... jaguar." you repeated, voice hollow as what the little boy said processed in your mind.
antonio blinked, as if he was questioning why you seemed so hesitant. "yeah. he gets really playful, but he's nice as long as you don't tease him too much."
it was then you decided to turn around, and was greeted to the sight of a jaguar not even half your height sitting down. its eyes were a hazy green (not at all reminiscent of a certain madrigal. of course not) and its gaze seemed to pierce through you as it stared. while looking the small cat in the eyes was intimidating, you couldn't help but feel your heart melt at the sight of it.
"oh. hello there," you cooed, and as if he could understand what you were saying miguel purred as loud as his tiny body would let him and curled his tail tightly around your wrist. you hesitated once again as the jaguar stood, its tail still coiled around you, and stared almost expectantly at a single branch at the ground. you glanced over at antonio, and once you received a nod of encouragement, leaned over to pick up the stick and threw it across the wooden platform. in a split second miguel darted after the large twig in a flurry of tan and black fur. it was only a moment you had to wait before he was back at your side, the stick retrieved and now in his jaw and an excited look in his gleaming eyes.
you exhaled softly in astonishment. you hadn't expected him to come back so quickly, and especially with such speed. it didn't take you much prompting to throw the branch again, and again, with miguel pursuing after it every time. eventually a few more animals joined the excitement, and you could only watch in silent amazement as coatis, capybaras and even a toucan or two playfully tussled to be the one successful in bringing the stick back to you.
eventually the crowd of animals chasing after the toy grew immense, and it wasn't long before in their haste to bring the stick back to you that they were too excited to slow down and a sea of fur and ears barreled into you at full speed. you fell to the ground with a loud "oof", just barely biting back a swear as your head hit wooden planks. a ring of animals crowded around you, some squawking in surprise and what you interpreted to be concern, others still panting excitedly at the wild chase of attempting to capture the toy. for a split second you struggled to sit upwards, but the animals waited until you were back in your proper sitting position before diving towards you yet again.
"woah, woah, calm down! hey, that's my hair- ow, miguel! stop, your claws hurt-" a loud laugh elicited from your throat as you struggled to push the animals off of you. "here, go get the stick!" somewhere within the mix your hands made contact with the object of their attraction, and you threw it in a random direction in an attempt to prompt your attackers to follow. a toucan squawked loudly as it watched the stick fly in the air, taking off to meet where it had landed. the other animals immediately followed suit, excluding the pesky jaguar who still had its claws pinned to the sleeve of your blouse. "alright, c'mon, get off-"
the jaguar ignored your prompting, instead choosing to dig its head into the crook of neck and pawing at your stomach as it fought to unleash itself from the fabric. you laughed again, a soft smile on your face as you unhooked its claws with a gentle hand. once it was free the animal purred loudly and ran off to join its friends, leaving you sighing in relief.
"oh, hi, camilo!"
your body froze at the sound of antonio's call of greeting. you turned your head towards the door where you had entered the room minutes before, and you let out an almost silent squeak when you spotted the shapeshifter staring at you from a few feet away. his jaw seemed to be attempting to drop to the floor, eyes unblinking and wide, and you shrunk back under the intensity of his gaze. for some reason it felt as if you were caught doing something you shouldn't have, and you could feel the temperature in your cheeks steadily growing hotter as you registered just how vulnerable and at ease you had truly been in the moment. it was an unusual feeling for you, especially to display in front of others, so the feeling of being "caught" was almost overwhelming.
"i- um. hi," camilo spoke, and he almost seemed to move in slow motion. "i was coming here to ask if you knew where she was, but..." he trailed off.
you sat in shock for just a few moments, still attempting to register what raw emotion you had just displayed, before hastily clearing your throat and rising to your feet. "well, antonio, it was great talking to you and your animals, but it looks like camilo needs me now, so i think i'll get going-"
"actually, mi vida. do you mind if we, uh. go on just a quick walk? i just need to grab... something." it was then you realized camilo's face was incredibly flushed. from his cheekbones up to his nose the boy was peppered with a rosy blush, and you would be an idiot not to notice the sudden stutters in the other's voice. this caused your own blush to coat your cheeks, and internally you felt your panic begin to surge with embarrassment. "yeah, i can- okay, sure. um, nice meeting you properly, antonio. take care of miguel for me, and all of that!-"
and with that you raced out of the door, waiting not even a split second for camilo to trail behind you before walking off towards what you believed to be the back door of the house. "hey, mi vida! wait up a bit-" you immediately skid to a stop, turning around to make sure camilo wasn't that far behind only to feel him collide into your back at full force. "oh, ouch-" he groaned, reeling back and nearly running into a pillar just a few inches behind him.
"camilo, are you okay? i swear, i didn't mean to-" you turned and grasped his face in your hands, pure adrenaline and embarrassment coursing through your veins as you searched for any injuries. you didn't register the close proximity between you two until your worried gaze met his astonished olive eyes, and released him from your grasp almost immediately.
"sorry, sorry. okay, this is getting us nowhere." you took a few steps away from the shapeshifter, allowing yourself a moment to breathe as you both attempted to register just what exactly was happening. camilo seemed to gain his bearings rather quickly for just smashing his nose against your shoulder blade, and flashed you a charming yet soft grin.
"ay, amor," he murmured, the nickname causing a white hot rush of energy to leave tingles across your already burning cheeks. "no need to get so hasty. if you wanted to be so close, you could've just asked."
you gave the boy a sharp glare, crossing your arms across your chest indignantly in an attempt to save some of your dignity. "c'mon," you muttered. "let's just get this last thing you were talking about and get these chores over with. today's been tiring enough as is."
"actually, i, um, need to talk to you about something first." you rose an eyebrow at camilo's sudden change in tone. "okay," you said slowly. is pepa kicking me out? i swear, i knew it would be a bad idea to help without asking-"
camilo quickly shook his head. "no, none of that," he reassured, and reached over to take his hands in yours. "i just..." the shapeshifter took a sharp breath. "i just need you to listen, and try not to run away again. it's just me and you. no one else, alright?"
you hesitated before nodding slowly. "alright. go ahead," you breathed, and a sharp pang of anxiety hit you square in the heart as camilo cleared his throat. this was it, your brain told you. he saw that side of you and now he wants nothing to do with you. you knew it was all going to fall apart and yet you still got close-
"mi vida. amor. you are- how do i even begin to describe you? you're intelligent, and independent, and strong. you're not afraid to defend yourself, even when no one else seems to be listening to you. i've seen you work, and it's just... it's hard to describe how much i admire you. you always talked about how much you disliked my nicknames, but i couldn't help myself; the hidden smile on your face that you had whenever i used them was too tempting to not try and draw out. and then in antonio's room, with the animals. you just looked so... carefree. happy, even, and i-" camilo took a breath. "i want to make you laugh and smile like you did for them. every day, if you give me the chance. to cherish you and the look in your eyes you get every time you see something you like, and even the way you lash out when you're stressed. for you, i'd be willing to sit through any scathing remark you have. not to mention your beauty; you, mi amor, are breathtaking. i guess what i'm trying to say is... will you give me the privilege of taking you out on a date?"
it was if a cord inside you snapped. as soon as the last word left camilo's mouth you launched yourself forward, wrapping him in your arms and squeezing as tight as you could. for the first time since you were young, you finally felt seen. someone appreciated you for you, and that raw fact was so overwhelming you didn't even bother attempting to quell the tears threatening to spill across your cheeks. camilo flinched, not expecting the embrace, but quickly wrapped himself around you as well, shushing you quietly as you sobbed.
"is..." your body heaved with the effort to speak, and you pressed your face deeper into the crook of his neck. "is all of that true?" you eventually whispered, and camilo let out a soft murmur of affirmation. "every word," he spoke, and those two little words made the many, many walls you built over the years crumble.

Awww Pepa is an affectionate clingy drunk...who also apparently table dances. Now I'm curious to hear more of her past drunken shenanigans
Admit it, you just want to hear about her table dancing. But oh yeah, she's had some fun times. Let's see what happened on the night of her 18th birthday. Inspired by @ironmariposa's fic, Say Something, and this drawing.
Note: This piece involves some mentioned and actual underage drinking, which I do not endorse.
Every year, the Madrigal triplets’ birthday was an occasion celebrated by the entire town. Not only was it the birthday of three of the most beloved people in town, but it also marked the anniversary of the founding of their encanto. The parties grew bigger and bigger every next year.
As expected, their 18th birthday party was an absolute blowout. Everyone in town had shown up at la casa Madrigal, dancing to lively music and partaking in food and drinks (the alcoholic ones quite strong, thanks to Alma). The plethora of bright lights decorating the courtyard ensured that the party stretched on late into the night. Families with children made an earlier exit, saying a gracious goodbye before going to put their little ones to bed. Eventually, even the adults grew tired of partying and left.
It seemed like most people were partied out, with the exception of one of the birthday girls herself. Pepa Madrigal hadn’t sat down the entire evening; dancing both alone and with guys who had shyly asked her for a dance. She was still twirling around when the band wrapped up their last song.
Registering that the music was gone, she stopped herself mid twirl; nearly toppling over. “Hey, where’d the music go?” Her feet tapped of their own accord, clearly itching to keep dancing.
“The party is over, Pepa,” Alma spoke, coming over after bidding the last couple of stragglers farewell.
“Over?” Pepa was astounded.
“Everyone’s already left,” Alma pointed out. “It was a great party, but it had to end at some point.”
“But mamá-“
“No buts, mi niña.” Alma’s voice was stern but soft. “It’s late. We should get some sleep.” She wrapped an arm around Pepa, pressing a kiss to her forehead.
Pepa crossed her arms, the idea clearly not to her liking. “It’s our 18th birthday party. We only turn 18 once. There’s no way I’m going to bed this early.”
“Well I am,” Bruno chimed in. He covered a yawn. “I’m exhausted. Buenas noches.” Large gatherings tired Bruno out more than most people. He made his way back inside the house and headed to bed.
“You would do well to follow his example.” Alma looked at Pepa pointedly.
Pepa snorted. “I’m not tired, mamá. I couldn’t sleep now if I tried. I’m too excited!” She clapped her hands a few times in quick succession.
Alma pursed her lips. “The rest of us would beg to differ. Come on, Pepa. You can’t just stay out here all night.” She took a step towards the house.
Pepa opened her mouth to protest, but was silenced by the stony look on her mother’s face. They stared each other down, battling to see who had the stronger will.
Fortunately, at that moment Félix appeared. “Disculpe, doña Alma.” He approached them, coming back from the door where he had been hanging out. “I couldn’t help overhearing that you wanted to get some sleep.”
Alma’s expression softened. “Hola, Félix; yes- I was just telling Pepa that the party was over. Even though everyone else has left, she doesn’t want to believe me.”
“Because it’s our 18th birthday! There’s no way it can be over so soon,” Pepa sulked.
Félix stepped in between the two women, clapping a hand on each of their shoulders. “Doña Alma, I understand you need your rest.” He then turned to address Pepa. “And yes, Pepa, I know you don’t want the party to be over so soon.”
“Thank you!” Pepa exclaimed, throwing up her hands. “Someone understands.”
Félix cracked a smile and rubbed her shoulder soothingly before dropping his hand, leaving goosebumps in his wake. “What if there was a way for both of you to get what you want?”
“I’m listening.” Alma faced him, intrigued.
“You guys can come over to my house. That way you can keep celebrating, but your mamá can get some sleep.” He looked from Pepa to Julieta, who was cleaning up. “Bruno is invited too,” he added hastily, throwing a nervous glance over to Alma.
“Bruno already went to bed,” Alma informed him, a smile tugging at the corners of her lips.
“Oh.” Félix didn’t appear terribly upset by the information. “Well, the two of you can still come, if you want. That is, if that’s okay with you, doña Alma.” He looked at the older woman for permission.
“Is anyone else going to be there?” Alma questioned.
“Some of my friends,” Félix answered vaguely. “Don’t worry, it won’t be just us.”
Worries assuaged, Alma nodded. “I suppose that sounds all right.” She stifled a yawn of her own. “I trust you, Félix. Julieta, put that down,” she commanded.
A surprised Julieta warily set down the rag she’d been using to wipe down the table.
“It’s your birthday.” Alma tilted her head towards where Félix and Pepa had started chatting animatedly. “Go, have fun.” She smiled at her girls.
“Really?” Pepa’s eyes lit up with excitement. “¡Gracias, mamá!” She kissed her mother on the cheek and started jumping up and down.
Julieta’s reaction was a bit more subdued. “Gracias, mamá.” She hugged her mother. “I promise, I’ll keep an eye on Pepa,” she whispered before Alma could even ask.
“Thank you.” She kissed Julieta on the cheek. “I know I can count on you.” Waving goodnight, she retreated into the house, leaving the girls alone with Félix.
Grinning, he threw an arm around each of their shoulders. “Let’s go!”
The three made their way towards the Castillo house. Pepa skipped giddily down the road, while Julieta walked next to Félix.
“Can’t wait to see all your friends who are going to join us,” she quipped, nudging him.
He had the decency to look abashed. “Okay, so that was a bit of a lie.”
Julieta tutted, shaking her head from side to side. “Lying to my mamá…I think Pepa is a bad influence on you.” She met Félix’s apprehensive glance with a smile. “Speaking of Pepa…” she trailed off, waiting expectantly for his response.
Félix didn’t take the bait. “What about her?”
Julieta sighed. “Am I gonna spend the night chaperoning you two?” She looked at him knowingly.
Félix turned his head away. “You know it’s not like that,” he said quietly. There was a wistful note in his voice.
Julieta quirked an eyebrow. “Still? Félix, she li-”
“Besides,” he interrupted her, throwing an arm around her shoulder, fixing a dazzling smile back on his face, “I invited someone for you too.”
“Oh?” He had her attention
“Agustín is going to join us.” It was Félix’s turn to nudge Julieta.
Julieta’s features assumed a dreamy expression. “Agustín?”
“That’s right, Juli; your chico amante is going to be there.” He watched her blush, amused. “So let’s get this party started, eh?” He yelled, coming to a stop in front of his house.
“Maybe we shouldn’t be so loud,” Julieta suggested anxiously, wringing her hands together. “We could wake someone up.”
“My whole family sleeps like the dead.” Félix waved off her concerns, turning on the lights. “You gotta, when there’s so many people under one roof. Relax, let’s have some fun!” He quickly pulled out a table and chairs, gesturing for them to sit.
“And the party continues!” Pepa whooped, a faint rainbow haloing her head.
At that moment, Agustín appeared at the gate. “I’m not too late, am I?”
“Nah, hombre; we just got here,” Félix reassured him, rummaging around the cellar.
“Oh good.” Agustín walked over to Julieta and greeted her with a kiss. “You look beautiful, mi flor.”
“Agustín…” Julieta whined, but the smile on her face betrayed how flattered she felt.
On the other side of the table, Pepa’s eyes darted over to Félix hopefully, then back to where the others were sitting.
Félix exclaimed triumphantly, brandishing a bottle. “Look what I found!” He brought it back to the table, along with four shot glasses.
“Now it’s a party!” Pepa’s eyes gleamed, watching Félix pour a generous measure into each glass.
Julieta reached over for the bottle, sniffing its contents cautiously. “Whew, that’s strong!” She waved a hand in front of her nose to dispel the fumes.
“You know it.” Félix puffed out his chest. He handed a glass to the others, then raised his in the air. “To the Madrigal triplets. Even Bruno, who’d rather sleep than party.” He snickered. “A very happy 18th birthday to the three of you. ¡Salud!”
The others echoed his toast and clinked glasses. Julieta and Agustín sipped the liquor, whereas Pepa threw back the shot in one go.
“Go easy, Pepa,” Julieta warned her, grimacing. “That stuff is really strong.”
“It’s fine,” Pepa dismissed her with a wave. “Not like it’s my first time drinking it.” She put the empty glass down on the table with a thud.
Julieta’s eyes widened, scandalized. “Pepa!”
Pepa rolled her eyes. “Spare me, señorita perfecta. I know it’s not your first time either,” she shot back smugly.
“Yes, but I have the good sense not to go around bragging about it,” Julieta hissed, casting nervous glances at their surroundings. “Besides, I’ve only done it a few times. You, on the other hand…” she prompted.
Pepa shrugged. “Doesn’t matter, it’s legal now!” She let out a euphoric yell and held her glass out to Félix. “Let’s have another one!”
Félix refilled their glasses and pointed the bottle to Julieta and Agustín. “Want to join us?”
“One is enough for me,” Julieta declined. “I had some wine earlier too.”
Pepa let out a disbelieving noise. “And yet you want to lecture me about drinking too much.”
“There’s a difference between wine and guaro, Pepa.” Julieta rested her empty glass on the table. “Be careful.”
“Agustín?” The bottle was aimed towards him now.
He shook his head, coughing. “Think it’s a bit too strong for me.” He paused to cough. “Shit burns like fire.”
Félix chuckled. “Suit yourself.” He turned towards Pepa, raising his glass towards her. “Guess it’s just you and me, Pepa. Salud.”
“Salud,” she repeated, clinking their glasses together. Electricity charged the air around them as they locked eyes. As soon as it had come, the moment passed.
They sat like that for some time, talking and drinking, with Félix refilling the emptied glasses every so often. The night had grown chilly. Julieta wrapped her shawl around herself and curled into Agustín, whose arm was wrapped around her.
“Aww,” Pepa cooed, rocking back in her chair. “You guys are so cute!”
Julieta smiled contentedly, snuggling into Agustín. “Thank you, Pepa.”
“I’m so glad you guys stopped being dumb,” Pepa continued. “You’ve liked each other for ages now.”
Julieta and Agustín exchanged knowing looks.
“It was torture watching you two fumbling around each other.” Pepa prattled on obliviously. “Hey, Félix, let’s have another shot!” She suggested loudly.
Félix reached over for the bottle, finding it considerably lighter than when they’d started. “I don’t know if that’s a good idea, Pepa. We’ve already had a lot.”
Pepa scoffed. “I didn’t realize you’d become such a lightweight, Castillo.” She picked up the bottle, sloshing liquid around inside, and poured herself another shot. Some of the liquor splashed out onto the table.
“I’m not, Pepi; I just don’t want your mamá to kill me.” Félix took the bottle away from her, stashing it back in the cellar.
“Relax, mamá loves you,” Pepa called out, undisturbed.
“Definitely likes him better than me,” Agustín murmured to Julieta, who elbowed him hard. “Ow!”
Félix had heard him. “And let’s keep it that way, eh?” He pasted on a grin. “No more alcohol, Pepa. You had enough for tonight.”
Pepa pouted. “That’s not very nice to the birthday girl.” She twirled a loose strand of hair around her finger. “People should get to do whatever they want on their birthday.”
“Sure, as long as it doesn’t end up with them spending the entire next day throwing up.” Julieta wasn’t even trying to be quiet.
Pepa ignored her. “I feel like dancing. Let’s dance!” She stood up, catching herself on her chair as she stumbled forward. “Come on!” With surprising strength, she yanked Félix out of his chair.
They spun around sloppily. Pepa led and Félix held onto her hand and waist gingerly.
“Pepa…I don’t know if this is a good idea.” Félix looked at her, worried.
Pepa stopped in her tracks, making Félix bump into her. “You don’t want to dance with me,” she accused. “You don’t like dancing with me.” Her lower lip wobbled.
“No, Pepa, that’s not it, I-“ Félix’s eyes sought out Julieta for help.
But Pepa had used the moment to free herself from his grasp and had marched over to Agustín. “Dance with me, city boy!” She proclaimed, pulling him out of his chair.
“When are you going to stop calling me tha- hey!” He protested as she started dancing around him, practically using him as a prop. He didn’t need Julieta’s eyes burning into him to make him let go of Pepa’s hand. “Better not,” he excused himself. “You know how clumsy I am. I don’t want to hurt the birthday girl.” He tried to play it off as a joke.
Félix looked to Julieta, who smiled at him reassuringly as she wrapped Agustín’s arm back around herself. Tension he didn’t even know he was feeling dissipated.
Pepa stared at the three sitting at the table. “Fine,” she fumed. “Fine. No one wants to dance with me? I’ll dance by myself!” She swayed from side to side, humming a nonsensical melody and swishing her skirt around.
“Pepa, I think you should sit down,” Julieta spoke up. “You’ve had a lot to drink. You could get hurt.”
“Nonsense, hermana.” Pepa laughed. “I’m fine. In fact, I’m more than fine. I feel amazing!” She spun in circles, arms flung out to the side.
“Pepa-“
“Why don’t you guys believe me? Look, I’ll prove it to you.” Before anyone could stop her, she’d clambered onto the table and stood up.
Shocked, the other three scooted their chairs back.
“What the hell do you think you’re doing, Pepa?” Julieta frowned, eyeing Pepa suspiciously.
“Dancing, obviously.” Pepa shook her head as if the question were ridiculous. She began humming the same melody, moving her feet in complicated patterns and shaking her hips. Rain started pattering around her, causing her feet to slip on the now slick table.
The other three stared at her in horror.
“Please get down, Pepa,” Julieta begged.
“It’s really not safe,” Agustín added.
“I’m fine.” Pepa twirled, but her momentum was too strong. It carried her right off the table, into Félix’s waiting arms.
When he saw her lose her balance, he’d materialized next to her in a flash. “I got you,” he reassured her.
If the blush on her face didn’t make it clear enough, the rainbow hanging overhead certainly showed how pleased she was with this development. “Thank you.”
Félix cleared his throat. “It’s nothing.” He set her down and rubbed the back of his head awkwardly.
“Maybe you should take her home,” Julieta suggested quietly. “Before she actually gets herself hurt.”
“You just want to be alone with Agustín,” Félix teased her, but his heart wasn’t in it. “Come on, Pepi.” He took her hand. “Let’s go home.”
“Don’t want to,” she whined, twisting her hand out of his grasp.
He tried for several minutes, unsuccessfully, to grab onto her hand, but she managed to evade him.
“Do something,” Julieta mouthed towards him.
He sighed. “Pepa, I’m so sorry.” Grabbing her around the middle, he hoisted her over his shoulder.
“Hey!” She exclaimed indignantly. “Put me down!” She kicked her feet, flailing around, to no avail. A small cloud appeared over her head.
Félix waited for her to calm down a bit before starting to walk. “Let’s go, Pepi.”
He carried her all the way to la casa Madrigal. She’d tired herself out shortly after they set out and flopped around limply for the rest of the journey. They entered quietly; Félix thought his footsteps sounded more muffled than normal, but that was probably the alcohol blunting his senses. Slowly, they climbed the stairs. Félix grunted with every step. Pepa wasn’t heavy by any stretch of the imagination, but it had been a long walk. Finally, they reached her door, and he set her down on her feet.
She was quiet, offering him a shy smile.
“Are you going to be okay?” Félix asked her. She’d had a lot to drink. The morning would not be fun for her.
“I’ll be fine,” she replied, her voice lacking the energy it had held all night.
“Are you sure?”
She nodded. “Thank you for bringing me home.” She took a deep breath, steeling herself.
“Of course, Pepa, anyti-“ The rest of the word was cut off by her lips swiftly covering his. They were sticky from the alcohol and pressed way too hard against his, but he didn’t move away.
After what seemed like forever, but really was only a few seconds, she pulled back. She examined him for any sign of protest, and finding none, beamed. Once more, a rainbow sprung up overhead.
Félix smiled. “Happy birthday, Pepa,” he said as he turned around. Clearly, Pepa was more drunk than he’d thought.
Or maybe… a small hopeful part of him whispered… maybe Julieta is right.
The thought carried him all the way home.

I know I’m not alone in thinking that the fandom is fading. If you’re still here let us know! 🫓🫓🫓
There seems to be a growing trend amongst the Encanto fanfic community where the steam is going out. Not for lack of original content from writers but more so the spark that keeps any of us writing, which is interaction. Might seem silly but when you are writing into the big void it's a lot like talking to your reflection in the mirror. It always agrees with you and doesn't push you forward with new ideas.
A few recent anons and private msgs have been from other writers asking for feedback on their fic or to use an idea/hc they've seen me talk about. And let me say it super duper loud that I welcome these messages. Please send me your fics to read and don't be shy. It might take me a minute to get through each but by damn I will do it.
We need to assemble the community with our own Encanto bat signal.
#🫓 arepa fanfic writer crumbs for feedback
#that's it that's the tag
Tag em, share em, dm them, reblog this with your link, do all the things cause I've got four days off next week and will make it my mission.

Encanto history head-canons Bc I can’t imagine a family of basically Gods who had it drilled into their heads since they were young they had to use their gifts to help and service people just hung out when they were alive during two world wars, even if Colombia never sent actual soldiers into battle during either war
In addition to Spanish being their native language, Pepa speaks French, Julieta speaks Italian, Bruno speaks German, and Alma speaks Russian and English. She made them all learn different languages when WW1 broke out and she was concerned about an influx of refugees not being able to speak Spanish that well and she wanted to make sure they were taken care of as well if they found themselves in the Encanto. When WW2 broke out she also made the entire family, in laws and grandchildren included, learn Hebrew for the same (heartbreaking) reason
The worst blizzard in Russian history happened twice. When Napoleon tried to invade, and when Hitler tried to invade. The first time was natural. The second was Pepa sneaking into Russia and forcing herself to imagine her children and husband dead to stop him
The medics could not, for the life of them, figure out how a teenage girl in WW1 and then untrained woman in WW2 was a better nurse then every single trained military surgeon and medic, or how she could bring people back from the brink of death in a matter of minutes (or why she carried around a shit ton of arepas in her pack)
Bruno did his best to share the future and let the Allied leaders know which way the battles would go without letting them know he could tell the future but the first time a general ignored him and got his entire platoon slaughtered, Bruno couldn’t take that amount of guilt and heartache again so he just shared his visions with Julieta and Pepa so they could know when and where they needed to be to help
Camilo wanted to go to Germany with his mother and Tia. He was a shapeshifter, do you know what kind of amazing spy he would make and fuck up different orders? Alma was all for it but Pepa and Felix refused and threatened to cut Abuela out of their and their kids lives if she sent Camilo overseas without their permission
Dolores and Isabela also wanted to help but their parents all agreed they were also too young. When they pointed out the triplets were only 16 when they were sent to help during the first war, they agreed they could come help when they were 16. They considered the fact that VE Day happened 3 months before Isabela turned 16 and 5 months before Dolores turned 16 nothing short of a miracle
You would think 16-18 year old Pepa around a bunch of young good looking GIs would be a recipe for disaster but she had her boyfriend Félix waiting for her at home. It was actually Julieta who fell in love with a Colombian-American GI. She swore up and down she was in love with him until she had to go back home and she realized it was more lust than love
The sheer amount and the content of racy letters Pepa and Félix sent one another when she was overseas, both when she was an older teen and as an adult would have made a whorehouse blush
Pepa and Julieta shared a little apartment in Germany during WW2. One night, three years after Bruno’s disappearance, they got a frantic phone call from a man named ‘Jernando’ who knew way too much about them and their family for it to be a prank, telling them to get out of the apartment and get out !NOW! because the Germans had been getting intel reports that two women who seemed to be supernatural lived there and they were coming for them. Not even an hour after they left, the girls watched, safely from a roof across the street, their apartment being raided by German soldiers

Mariano and Mirabel 3
* Mariano was freaking out
* Like to a point he never had
* To rewind. Mariano told his mom the girl of his dreams
* How wonderful she would be
* Kind, smart, pretty
* Amazing person who never backs down
* His mama, realized the girl he was talking about
* She look at him with a smirk on her face
* He didn’t understand and get uncomfortable that his mama knew something he didn’t
* She told him “You will know when you know”
* The cryptic line stay in his head the entire night
* He went to sleep and in his dreams was the girl he was thinking about
* Her face was turn away from him
* All he said was the curly hair that flow in the wind, and laughter
* The pure white dress she wore made the girl in his dreams look more beautiful.
* The girl turn-
* Mira!??
* Mariano fell right out of bed in a sweat.
* The girl she look like Mirabel
* Mariano panic, not only is Mirabel a good friend but she’s twelve
* He couldn’t believe it. He had to take big breathes to calm down.
* He thought about the type of girl he likes
* A girl who understands him, is hardworking, love kids and is adventurous.
* Mirabel checks off every box.
* Since when did his friend, his best friend (even if she is younger) became a crush???
* Mariano would never force that upon her
* He could accept he had feelings for her but could never act on them
* She’s twelve, she needs to go out and have fun, she’s taking care of her younger primo AND she is too young
* He also know that her family would kill him
* As he went back to bed, Mariano didn’t sleep at all for the rest of the night
* When the sunlight hit his room he was still up with bags under his eye
* Nothing will come from it nothing
* He swear by it
* He went to his mother’s room making sure no one especially Dolores could hear him
* He told his mother
* “Mama… I’m in love with Mirabel”
* “I know, is this why you woke me up earlier than the Madrigals?”
* “Mama she’s twelve”
* “Yea I know that too, your not thinking of doing anything about that?”
* “NO” Mariano would feel not only shame but guilt and it would be extremely selfish of him too, hos conscience would never allow that
* “Then don’t worry, I’m sure nothing would happen, remember that crush you had on Isabela, and there was Maria, Catalina, Señora Julieta too…”
* “Mama please stop… your right nothing will happen whatso ever, it’s just a kids crush”
* Even if Mariano is not a kid, the eight year difference hits him every time.
* He thought about it. Mirabel at 15 he would be 23, creepy.
* Mirabel at 18 would be idea and he would be 26. Better…
* However Mirabel at 21 and him at 29 was the only logical thinking he could give that would not give him a heart attack
* However Mariano would love to get marry right now. He’s a romantic and wanted a relationship like his mama and Abuela had with their husbands
* He would bury these feelings for both their sakes
Nothing will happen. Mariano’s (and mine) morals would not allow it to happen. Even canon age Mirabel and him gives me the shivers.
However earlier times a sixteenth year old WOULD be marry off to a adult. I don’t think this would happen in the Encanto since it’s a much safer place and kind of a utopia-ish
