Why can't people understand that the reason I'm so burnt out with job hunting isn't becasue I'm stupid or lazy but it's becasue every single thing I applied for ended up going nowhere due to the fact that autism is still a synonym for soul sucking creature of the night according to employers and I'm tired of having to waste all my effort working 6 times harder than everyone else just to get a 6th of respect! I have to work my fingers to the bone, overclock my brain until it melts, ruin my mental health stressing out over every detail just to get to the point where I have same chance as all the neurotypicals. Then I have to work EVEN HARDER to actually have a chance of actually getting the job. So on top of destroying myself just to get to the start I have to do it all over again twice as hard for the chance of it all paying off. It never does of course because I'm not superman. When you have a 0% percent win rate what's the fucking point of trying?

The Power of Pre-Employment Skills Testing: Improving Recruitment Processes and Securing Top Talent
Tumblr media
In today's increasingly competitive labor market, businesses are continuously looking for new ways to expedite their hiring procedures and discover the best candidates for the open positions. Pre-employment skills testing is a strategy that has gained popularity in recent years. These assessments allow employers to evaluate candidates' abilities, knowledge, and aptitude for specific roles before making hiring decisions. By incorporating pre-employment skills testing into their recruitment strategies, companies can ensure they find the perfect match for their needs, resulting in better employee retention and overall organizational success. With pre-employment skills testing, companies can pinpoint the right skilled and right-fit employees, ultimately leading to more efficient and effective hiring processes.
Pre-employment skills testing serves as a valuable tool for both employers and candidates alike. These testing processes allow candidates to demonstrate their abilities and suitability for the desired role. By accurately assessing their skills and competencies, candidates can present themselves as strong contenders in the competitive job market.
Furthermore, pre-employment skills testing gives candidates vital information about their abilities and areas for improvement, helping them to better prepare for future chances. In a word, pre-employment skills testing allows candidates to put their best foot forward and distinguish them from the crowd throughout the hiring process.
Getting Right Skills
Finding the proper talent is critical for firms looking to establish high-performing teams and promote organizational success. Pre-employment skills testing is essential to this quest because it allows employers to select and identify individuals who have the exact skills and abilities needed for success in a certain role. By objectively and completely evaluating candidates' talents, employers can make better recruiting decisions and prevent costly mismatches.
Streamlined Recruitment Process
Pre-employment skills testing helps companies streamline their recruitment processes, saving time and company resources while ensuring they attract top-tier talent. In essence, pre-employment skills testing enables companies to build a workforce that is not only skilled but also aligned with their organizational goals and values.
Mitigation of Hiring Risks
One key benefit of pre-employment skills testing is its ability to mitigate hiring risks and improve employee retention. By accurately assessing candidates' skills and qualifications upfront, employers can minimize the likelihood of hiring mismatches and turnover.
When employees are well-matched to their roles and equipped with the necessary skills, they are more likely to thrive in their positions and contribute to the overall success of the organization. This, in turn, contributes to improved employee satisfaction, good work culture, and retention rates since people feel appreciated and fulfilled in their jobs. Finally, pre-employment skills testing helps businesses establish stronger, more resilient teams that generate long-term growth and success.
In conclusion, pre-employment skills testing is a valuable tool that can revolutionize the recruitment process and help companies secure top talent. By assessing candidates' skills and competencies upfront, employers can make more informed hiring decisions, minimize hiring risks, and improve employee retention.
Pre-employment skills testing empowers candidates to showcase their abilities, skills, and aptitudes and stand out in the competitive job market. Overall, incorporating pre-employment skills testing into recruitment strategies is a win-win for both employers and candidates, paving the way for better hiring outcomes and organizational success.

Help! I'm a Perfect Genius, but This Potential Employer Asked Me a Boring Interview Question!
Ask A Manager, 13 Feb 2024:
I was rejected from a role for not answering an interview question. I had all the skills they asked for, and the recruiter and hiring manager loved me. I had a final round of interviews — a peer on the hiring team, a peer from another team that I would work closely with, the director of both teams (so my would-be grandboss, which I thought was weird), and then finally a technical test with the hiring manager I had already spoken to. (I don’t know if it matters but I’m male and everyone I interviewed with was female.) The interviews went great, except the grandboss. I asked why she was interviewing me since it was a technical position and she was clearly some kind of middle manager. She told me she had a technical background (although she had been in management 10 years so it’s not like her experience was even relevant), but that she was interviewing for things like communication, ability to prioritize, and soft skills. I still thought it was weird to interview with my boss’s boss. She asked pretty standard (and boring) questions, which I aced. But then she asked me to tell her about the biggest mistake I’ve made in my career and how I handled it. I told her I’m a professional and I don’t make mistakes, and she argued with me! She said everyone makes mistakes, but what matters is how you handle them and prevent the same mistake from happening in the future. I told her maybe she made mistakes as a developer but since I actually went to school for it, I didn’t have that problem. She seemed fine with it and we moved on with the interview. A couple days later, the recruiter emailed me to say they had decided to go with someone else. I asked for feedback on why I wasn’t chosen and she said there were other candidates who were stronger. I wrote back and asked if the grandboss had been the reason I didn’t get the job, and she just told me again that the hiring panel made the decision to hire someone else. I looked the grandboss up on LinkedIn after the rejection and she was a developer at two industry leaders and then an executive at a third. She was also connected to a number of well-known C-level people in our city and industry. I’m thinking of mailing her on LinkedIn to explain why her question was wrong and asking if she’ll consider me for future positions at her company but my wife says it’s a bad idea. What do you think about me mailing her to try to explain?
Sir,
You have been wronged in the most grievous of ways by a coven of retaliatory, self-aggrandizing women who have failed in the extreme to recognize your brilliance, your talent, and above all, your general superiority.
Of course you should mail this mediocre "grandboss" on LinkedIn to inform her of the deep offense she caused you by interviewing you in the first place, let alone doing so using a boring question — indeed, you have a moral and professional obligation to do so in order to preserve your honor and the honor of scores of men like you who have never done a single solitary thing wrong in their lives, ever.
But I beg you to consider doing more. A single, private message to one incompetent bitch may not convey to the necessary parties the depth and breadth of the situation. Many, many people have important lessons to learn from your experience, and I encourage you to share it widely. Consider making a public LinkedIn post, and ensure that it is shareable across platforms. Depending on your financial resources, a billboard with your name, professional headshot, and contact information could go a long way toward ensuring that everyone in your industry who needs to know just how you handled the way these women treated you, does know about it. I hope that in your continuing job search, you are able to connect with potential employers who have a much better grasp of all you bring to the table.

"Malaria once cast a long shadow over Lao PDR [Laos]. In 1997, an estimated 462,000 people were infected with significant economic and social impacts.
Education and employment were disrupted, and countless lives were lost. The disease's grip extended far beyond the initial illness, with long-term health consequences a heavy burden on communities.
However, a dramatic shift has occurred. Thanks to accelerated strategies implemented by the National Malaria Control and Elimination Program, Ministry of Health and its partners, including the World Health Organization and United States Agency for International Development (USAID), malaria cases have dropped by over 90 percent over the past decade, with just 809 cases in 2023. The nation is now on the brink of eliminating Plasmodium falciparum, the deadliest malaria parasite, by the end of 2025.
While many unsung heroes play crucial roles behind the scenes, including at the community level, a key group is laboratory technicians (microscopists). These dedicated individuals are the eyes on the ground, detecting, tracking, and monitoring malaria cases in high-risk areas...
While rapid tests are valuable tools, Somphan emphasizes the importance of microscopic examination – considered by WHO to be the “gold standard” for malaria diagnosis, and an important skill for every country’s health workforce to maintain for malaria elimination, and broader health security efforts.
Positively - her efforts, and the efforts of healthcare workers and health educators, are paying off.
"People are now more aware of malaria and its dangers," Somphan says. "They have come to understand the seriousness of malaria and the importance of early diagnosis and proper treatment. They now recognize that avoiding hospitalization could lead to prolonged illness and greater disruption to their lives…they are more likely to seek medical attention, even for mild symptoms."
The increasing number of patients coming for testing – sometimes up to 40 per day – is a testament to increased capacity and awareness in the community. But, she notes – they more increasingly have quiet days – a reflection of progress towards eliminating the disease."

Despite poor commentaries throughout the years that seem to be based on prior critiques rather than the actual substance of the original 1937 Princess, Snow White is a very admirable character and has a myriad of positive qualities that make for a great role model. Apart from coping with losing both of her parents at a very young age and being, not only abused by her only parental figure left but also, forced into slavery- by someone who practices magic, no less, someone she had no chance against- Snow White also has a business intelligence. She never, ever expects the dwarfs to take her in out of the goodness of their hearts and just naively depend on the kindness of strangers, nor does she wait for her Prince to save her while she’s stranded in the middle of the woods without food and shelter.
Actively seeking out a place of refuge, she finds the empty cottage and quickly decides to work for her stay. She identifies a gap she can fill, and applies the skills of cooking and cleaning she’s mastered- not because they’re traditionally feminine activities and this movie is trying to turn back feminism, but because it’s the only trade she knew as a result of being forced into servitude from childhood by another woman- to an environment that’s in dire need of these abilities. With this, she barters an exchange for room and board and convinces a roomful of seven men, who start off not liking her and ascribing their own misogynistic views onto her, in mere minutes to accept her as their equal, as someone who they’re not simply taking pity on and allowing to stay with them, but as a contributing member who earns her keep just as the rest of the house does and is just as worthy of respect. What’s more, Snow White manages to accomplish all this and improve the quality of her life drastically in exchange for the same services she would have been doing anyway if she never left Queen Grimhilde’s castle.
So, in conclusion: by escaping her abusive household and conquering her fear in the forest, Snow White picks herself back up on her feet- after she’s nearly the victim of a homicide- and goes out into the world. She creates a new life for herself by finding a home and shelter, and quantifying her marketable skills to gain effective employment. She never throws around her status as a Princess nor does she expect a pity handout from others. She literally crafts a position for herself that makes her just as worthy of inhabiting the cottage as the Dwarfs by merit of her own hard work and skill- not her beauty, or her privilege, or her birth right as a Princess- and gains their respect, while still being comfortable asserting herself when they try to test her or disregard her authority as their equal. Through her insurmountable ability to rise above her circumstances, her sheer survival skills, and the fact that she literally creates a job for herself to sustain her livelihood, Snow White is a modern woman.

android gojo headcanons
Tumblr media
ok wow this was longer than i thought. i hope you guys enjoy
android sukuna version
Tumblr media
You were a beta tester for Jujutsu Technology. Your job description was quite straightforward. You just acted like a customer who bought the product you were testing and gave feedback based on what you experienced.
This time, your employers wanted you to test out the newest of the Gojo line, the S4T0RU model. He was an android for a myriad of purposes. The engineers must've been quite proud of themselves for coming up with him.
He was the strongest and most durable out of all the androids they've come up with, possibly even surpassing the SUKUN4 model. Not only that, but he came with Jujutsu Technology's best intelligence chip, their most advanced one to date. He could learn at speeds no human could match.
He could protect his owner from any and all harm, he assists with all your chores with peak efficiency, he can tutor your children, help out with homework, he could provide companionship... and other more "adult" things.
In short, he's the jack of all trades for androids. There was a reason he cost the highest out of all of them.
For this simulation, you were meant to act as a single mother who recently lost her husband and needs assistance with her two children. The two children were androids created for testing, since it was too risky to use actual children in the process.
It started with unboxing him, the same way any buyer would. So far, you encountered no issues. Setup just required you to log into the app and configure the mode you need him for. Options included: Fighter mode, Caretaker mode, and... Pleasure mode. You clicked on "Caretaker mode".
When he woke up from his slumber, he greeted you and your children. Megumi didn't take too well to him, but Tsumiki quite liked him. You noted that his voice module was fully operational, no glitching or echoing. This version of him was still a prototype so his personality was a bit blank for the time being. It'd likely only start developing after spending time with you and the kids.
Your theory was proven right when you put the S4T0RU android to the test, asking him to do basic chores like vacuuming the floor and cleaning up the kids' toys. Tsumiki showered him in praises, which he basked in, wearing a smug smirk as he showed off his prowess.
You couldn't help the amused smile as you watched him pick up the sofa with one hand to vacuum, even though he could've just moved it to the side to achieve the same results. An android that was a showoff. How interesting.
Next task was to test his skill in teaching, asking him to help homeschool Megumi. It would prove to be a little more difficult than the basic house chores. This was especially the case with Megumi's model, who was designed to simulate a more... difficult and moody child. Androids who couldn't handle him usually didn't make the cut and got scrapped.
Despite Satoru's initial rocky start with him, he eventually got the hang of it and figured out how to get the child android to listen.
The more you spent time with him, the more attached you felt to the android. Out of all the androids, he seemed the most... lovable.
You weren't part of the Pleasure Department so you didn't have the most experience regarding the more... sensual androids.
But you couldn't quite recall whether the previous androids you tested were as... touchy as Satoru was. You never seemed to go a day where he hasn't had his large arms wrapped around your waist or shoulder.
While assisting you with chores, he made conversation, asking you about your interests and hobbies. He listened intently, hanging onto every word of your responses.
Whenever you got back home from "work", you'd find him playing with the kids, either having tea parties with Tsumiki or watching animal documentaries with Megumi. Upon noticing your arrival, his eyes light up with excitement. He rushes to your side, eager to help you relax after a long day.
He'd make you a cup of your favorite drink, making you sigh with relief. Every task you've made him do was a success. He should be good to go now. All you had to do was give him clearance to be mass produced and sold to the public.
As you rested your head on his shoulder, hearing the gentle hum of his system, you felt a twinge of pain, knowing that the life you've grown so attached to will eventually come to an end - that this fabricated life you've built with him would be gone in just a few days.
"Do you have to let me go?" Satoru's question made your heart stop. There was not a single android who has gained awareness of the simulation. But somehow, he acted like this was a fact he understood since long ago.
You let out a shaky breath. "I... have no choice. This is what they pay me for. You'll be taken from me regardless."
He gave you a chesire smile. "Their first mistake was giving me the tools to bust us out of here."
Satoru disconnected his system from the Jujutsu Network and grabbed the two kids, doing the same to them. Alarms started blaring, alerting all the workers that an android had gone rogue.
He picked the three of you up, breaking out of the compound.
You weren't quite sure what the future had in store for you. But you were sure that you'd be fine as long as you had Satoru and your newfound family by your side.

i agree w you about pre employment drug testing but job interviews? the thing where they meet you? and see what your like and if you’ve got the skills required? i dont get why theyre bad
ive elaborated multiple times on this. they are not skill checks by any means. they are only in place to filter "undesirables" from employment positions. they are ALWAYS subject to cultural biases. this is why so many people struggle to find work. now they can see youre a tranny before drafting up any paperwork and they can reject you with enough plausible deniability to claim it wasnt discrimination. this is the purpose of interviews. they ask generic blanket questions that test how Normal the subject is. its a way of doing things with a ton of negative side effects and whether it was intentional or not (its very much intentional btw) we need to rethink how we do job placement in the western capitalist world. people shouldnt have to grovel and socially compete with each other for an opportunity to barely cover their living expenses. job interviews need to be abolished. as i elaborared to a previous anon, there can be placement programs, employers can be required to offer paid training trial periods to job seekers. we dont have to do it the way we do it now.
