Update: New Portraits!

I finally got around to making vanilla-sized portraits for submas! There's no HD Portraits support for 1.6 just yet, so I cleaned up their original portraits to match Stardew's color palette a bit better (so much hue-shifting...) since I couldn't really record events with lazilly downscaled portraits. I'm still working on Elesa's right now and I still need to get to everyone else, but it's chugging along...

Anyways, here's Ingo and Emmet's new portrait sheets!

I went for a ride at an old train station that I visited today! Of course, I brought the boys along with me for the trip! 😊

A diesel locomotive was used to pull the cars along the tracks. I read that they would sometimes switch between diesel and steam locomotives but it looked like they went with diesel for today.

The route was very scenic and I got to see the autumn colors of the forests and hills in the area! 🍁 I had a lot of fun on this trip and I would love to come back take the other train routes that the station had to offer!

I found this cool patch at the gift shop! I thought it would be fun to take a picture of the boys standing next to it!

So since Ingo's name is a pun with the whole climbing thing in Legends Arceus, Emmet should be in Legends A-Z as head of a mining or underground construction operation or something to also be a pun

Emmet but he's in the next Legends game and he teaches you various game mechanics including a first for the series: Melee Combat

Throwing Emmet into Professor Layton for funzies. He's gotta deal with a world without pokemon and Layton has to solve the mystery of the amnesiac train conductor. Maybe there's a ghost train involved (could just be rumours caused by Pokemon being around. Maybe)

I was thinking Emmet has had some of his mons and also Chandelure but got seperated from them because of the Fall into another dimension.

Layton's mysteries have always managed to explain away the supernatural but now there's actual dimension hopping and strange creatures. Luke's havin a great time though, he can talk to pokemon.

I was listening to So Much (For) Stardust and accidentally had too many thoughts in one sitting so we have another AU concept. I don't have a solid name yet so I've just been calling Team Supernova AU.

Long story short:

Ghetsis freezes over Unova's major cities, taking most survivors hostage to join Team Plasma, and leaving several thousands dead from the frost

Emmet, Elesa, and others try fending off the Plasma Frigate in Nimbasa but ultimately lose with injuries (Emmet got frozen on his right side)

Emmet takes as many survivors as he can into the tunnels, later joining other groups to his and forming Team Supernova in resistance to Team Plasma

Ingo went missing about a year prior to all of this, so Emmet has already spent a lot of time alone. The only pokemon he has left is Ingo's Chandelure, as the rest did not survive the invasion. He's generally very cold and shut off emotionally as a result, and doesn't really express himself like he used to.

I'll drop more details later, right now the AU in early concept stages so it's essentially a bundle of "what would this be like" and "what if this happened" and "this could be cool". If I have time I'll drop some of the other uniform designs later. Anyways have a good night, see ya.

The idea that Emmet could lose the next Nimbasa sexy man contest to his brother and a literal Zoroark copying his appearance has me cracking up.

(bc the way you draw Zoroark Emmet is a bit 👀👀👀. That side-eye.)

minor headcanon, ingo and emmet aren't just identical twins but mirror twins. this is a rare phenomenon where the egg splits in two really late, so the twins end up being physically mirrored. features like beauty marks appear on opposite sides, their dominant hands are different, their gaits are mirrored, etc.

in some cases, one mirror twin can have situs inversus, where their internal organs are flipped. emmet is the "flipped twin" - his heart is on the right, for instance.
