We need a total drama character that looks normal, but is secretly some, who knows how old, shapeshifting eldritch abomination.

They’re not there to cause trouble or hurt anyone, they just want to experience the show out of pure curiosity.

Throughout the show, they manage to never be found out.

When they eventually get eliminated and ride off on the boat, one of the remaining contestants swear that they saw the tiniest little blep of a black pointed tongue for a moment. No one believes them.

grace, the way i just perked up the second i saw your tags about a stardew AU... i am *very* interested

so i may or may not have put about 140 hours on my first real stardew valley play through (and im not done im just taking my time and holy cow things are expensive) and like. way back in august of 2021 i was like hey @sango-blep what if this happened lol. and she was like IF YOU DONT DO THIS and then it regrettably (or not regrettably?) just kinda sat there until i got to a romance scene last night and the flood gates opened. i wanted to keep it fairly close to the game without it being a lift, which wouldnt make it an au, so the gist is:

Lena, who grew up with the love of her mother completely removed from the Luthors, has grown weary of her genetics job and the popularity contest and rat race that comes with it. Years after her mother passed and now in her mid-thirties, she needs a break. In a forgotten lock box lies a deed to a property in Midvale, a small costal town outside of National City. Aching for change, Lena packs up and leaves it all behind for a new start-only to be met with the strange and otherworldly as she learns to live in harmony with the citizens of Midvale and the wilderness around them as the evil of her estranged half-family encroaches...

also kara is her neighbor who raises bees with a flower garden bc i have a silly meet-cute idea for their first scene together, im keeping the main show cast for funsies along with building a small cast of locals, im still keeping some canon alien aspects of stuff so i have a spring board, and im trying really hard not to spoil anything plot-related bc i dont want to give it away just yet but this might also turn into some form of baby's first murder mystery a la murder she wrote but im not sure yet i have. too many ideas.

so yeah im still fleshing it out but its stardew au but cottage core warping into ghibli-eldritch cottage core and lets hope i can pull it off bc some of that still needs some work and it sounds really fun in my head LMAO

Fódlan Freewrite #1: Cats

Hello. Earlier this year, I wrote some FE3H-themed freewrites for my Twitter -- since I've left the platform, I continued writing them for some friends, but now that I'm on Tumblr, I feel now's the time to share them with the public once more and even publish some new ones. I worked very hard on this first piece, so please give it a read and tell me how it made you feel. Thank you.

Felix couldn’t stop petting the cat in his lap. It was a magnificent cat: a fine Dominic Gray breed, purring up a storm as it exposed its pleasingly plump belly to the world. Truly, there was no finer way to spend one’s time – other students honed their craft and attended to their studies at Fódlan’s most prestigious academy, but Felix chose instead to pamper a cat: its fur impossibly soft, like the bulging biceps Raphael used for his puppet shows.  

It was all Felix could think about, cats. Cats cats cats, he thought as his hands moved down to scratch that glorious belly. Cats cats cats, he thought as his stroking swelled to speeds approaching Mach 2. Cats cats cats, he thought as Mr. Kitty silently observed the the veritable tornado erupting upon his tummy – its surging vortex funneling the fish from the nearby pond and into the Eldritch mouth of a hungry Flayn, all the while morphing Lorenz’s carefully-manicured hair into a gnarly mohawk not unlike that of Mr. T – before glancing up at Felix with that patented disapproving cat glare of “Boy, da fuq are you doing?”. Yet on he went: rubbing that belly like a magic lamp ready to grant his wish of eating Kentucky Fried Chicken, freshly picked from the Oghma mountains. (God, that shit’s delicious.)

Naturally, it wasn’t long before his furious petting broke the space-time barrier: all matter and life coalescing into a single point – the frozen stasis of Garreg Mach resounding with an ethereal crash, yielding none other than a Divine Pulse. Seizing his chance, Felix wound back the hands of time and bitchslapped Sylvain for his lunchtime innuendo the other day. (“Man, if only Felix could use his swordplay for other purposes, if you catch my drift-Ye gods! It’s the holy hand of Magic Johnson himself!”.) There were a great many space-time adventures that ensued – not the least in Felix’s steamy adventures in Mormonism – but alas, yours truly already ran out of ideas, so everything and all things settled down then: Fódlan’s time-shift back to normal as if the tornado never happened, Felix’s hand back to scratching sweet, slow scritches – his fingers callused and rough from hours of finding Jesus in the amiibo gazebo.

Mr. Kitty, alas, laid witness to the entire paradoxical venture – his eyes wide as dinner plates for the rest of his lounging days by the fishing pond. Dat blep was never the same.

I suppose I should revisit my Kittymore post here! It's about time, with all the new Mortamors we've seen lately, plus Twitter is self-destructing and Tumblr is just easier to make these kinds of posts with.

Mortamor has long been a favorite of mine, and that comes mostly from his menacing aura -- ah, who am I kidding, he looks like a kitty!

Here I'm gonna rate all the Mortamors solely on their kitty-tasticness!

Artwork (Original)

Official Art Kittymore! The start of a legend! He has his whiskers and those feline eyes too, an absolutely phenomenal artwork! Unfortunately, Akira Toriyama didn't draw him from any other angles, leading to many disagreements on how he should LOOK when seen from any other direction. You'll see what I mean later on.

5/10 kitten pets! Respectable, but it's hard to rate his kitten power with just a head-on look! I need angles! I need to see his kitty muzzle!

Dragon Quest 6 (SNES)

The first in-game look at Kittymore! The sprite is phenomenally cute and very scritchable, unfortunately it suffers from the same problem as the artwork, albeit not as much because the animations of the sprite show some muzzle cuteness...though not as much as I would like.

6/10 nose boops!

I can't...really see what's going on with that sprite, but the little tiny sprite above his status is really cute and silly-looking!

3/10 face scritches! I like the tiny sprite or it would be lower sfhkkjs

Yet another stagnant sprite, the detail here SHOULD give him a little more of the kitten-tasticness that he deserves...unfortunately, more detail isn't always better. The original SNES sprite looked far more likely to claw up my bedpost, while I see very little of that desire in this sprite.

3/10 kitten treats for my kitten overlord!

Dragon Quest Monsters Joker

A full model means we get to see our beloved meowing monster king from the sides! And how does he look?

REALLY SCARY. He looks less like my evil demon kitty-kitty demanding pets and more like some kind of eldritch horror! This was my first introduction to Mortamor, actually, and when I first saw him...I didn't know WHAT he was, just that I needed him sffsshkls unfortunately, nostalgia doesn't negate the truth.

0/10 chin scratches. There is no kitty in that soulless stare.

Dragon Quest 9

This model has honestly grown on me over the years. And, due to being another model, we can see how he looks from the side too!

Not bad! Very pettable, I already feel sharp pains in my leg from all the kneading I can tell he's thinking of doing! For the limitations of the DS, this is very nice!

6\10 kitty bleps! Could be kittier, but not bad at all!

WHERE IS HIS KITTY MUZZLE? HIS KITTY WHISKERS ARE WAY TOO DROOPY AND HIS EYES FOR THE FIRST TIME DON'T EVEN LOOK KITTY-LIKE!!

Slightly better, but he should look fully kitten the WHOLE time, not just during a few animations!

2/10 paw-pad rubbies! Absolutely disappointing!
