Another long and busy day, and I’m feeling better about how much I’ve made. Started the day working in the studio reclaiming clay in the morning since wood prep was canceled due to no more wood to split lol. This afternoon and evening I finished the pitchers and jars and put them on the rack to fire, tested the teapot lids and set them to dry together (I’ll make spouts and trim/decide on handles next Tuesday), finished trimming the white mugs and put handles on everything (and will sneak back in tomorrow to do some slips). Then threw a large serving bowl, three pendant lights, a Patrick body, and then the main body of a hopeful low birdbath.
#arting#pottery#and i had my wrist MRI at 8:30 this morning and ive been up since 6:45#night night lol

Microsoft Office, like many companies in recent months, has slyly turned on an “opt-out” feature that scrapes your Word and Excel documents to train its internal AI systems. This setting is turned on by default, and you have to manually uncheck a box in order to opt out.
If you are a writer who uses MS Word to write any proprietary content (blog posts, novels, or any work you intend to protect with copyright and/or sell), you’re going to want to turn this feature off immediately. How to Turn off Word’s AI Access To Your Content
I won’t beat around the bush. Microsoft Office doesn’t make it easy to opt out of this new AI privacy agreement, as the feature is hidden through a series of popup menus in your settings:On a Windows computer, follow these steps to turn off “Connected Experiences”:
File > Options > Trust Center > Trust Center Settings > Privacy Options > Privacy Settings > Optional Connected Experiences > Uncheck box: “Turn on optional connected experiences”
#join the waitlist for apple intelligence#the new apple desktop os now has built in and i am going to throw up on the ceo specifically

HR 9495 is going back up for voting. All non-profit orgs are in danger.
The Committee on Rules is meeting at 1600 EST on 18 Nov 2024. The agenda includes HR 9495.
If this bill passes, the Secretary of the Treasury would have the power to strip any non-profit group of it's tax-exempt status with no due process.
If you are part of the fandom community and you are in America, please contact your reps and ask them to vote NO on HR 9495.

Now is absolutely the time to support queer authors, queer-friendly libraries, and queer bookstores. There is a lot of damage being done to these communities right now, and I truly believe community is the antidote. Find an author to uplift, request a queer book from your local library, and if you can, try and buy a queer book from an indie store. It makes a bigger difference than you might think.

Long productive clay day. Split wood this morning for two hours (pictured is wood for future firings next year, it’s too green), then had a solid 5-6 hours of time for my own work. Moved the purple and green littles to the glaze firing rack (lost a purple pumpkin and a green skull :(), then I finished the red jars and three gray stoneware mugs, next I put handles on the pitchers to finish those, then repaired my tray that just… fell apart. I’ll try to finish that Thursday. After that I threw some teapot bodies and lids, three big and two small, and then trimmed the red mugs. One of them had a mystery girl growing in it and I took it home to see if it’ll turn into something lol. I’ll trim the white mugs and aim to get those handled on Thursday as well. I’m gonna go lay down now.
