Reactions to Crazier Bastard's Chapter 301

As the brief summary mentioned, we got an info dump about the game. To organize it:

Transparent Co, Ltd. - company who owns and operates the game

NGB1 - the current system of the game, and in charge of managing the rules and laws of the world

Zero - the predecessor system before NGB1

"ARM's hyung" - a male AI secretly hidden by the original creators of the game

One - a "bug" and female AI created by NGB1 from the found traces of "ARM's hyung"

Red Hand - the judge and destroyer that follows the rules of NGB1

Hell of Darkness - the Third Evil. One of the Eight Evils of the continent

Count Lupe II - the boss of the 99th floor of the Hell of Darkness dungeon

"Cale" - the new boss of the 100th floor of the Hell of Darkness dungeon

Hero - someone who has the qualities of an adversary that NGB1 considers

"One" was the System AI that Cale was talking to. She described herself as a bug created out of necessity. To summarize again:

Transparent Co, Ltd. did some things in the game that caused "exceptional" situations that broke the rules of the game

NGB1 investigated the cause of the numerous rule breaks and found out that it was Transparent Co, Ltd.'s fault

During its investigation, it utilized Zero, the previous system, and Zero's AI discovered hidden traces of ARM's hyung

NGB1 created One from those hidden traces, and assigned her the role of fighting against Transparent Co, Ltd. who kept breaking the rules

So... One was NGB1's secret weapon against its maker? NGB1 was mostly controlled by Transparent Co, Ltd., so when One was created, she had limited roles and could only assign Cale an NPC account.

ARM's hyung was still unnamed, but I could understand why One called him as oppa because she was created from his hidden traces. Though if you think about it in family terms, she's more like a daughter than a younger sister? 🤔

Moving on, NGB1 and One created the "hero" in order to fight against the absolute god. But One also sought for helpers, namely the "hero's companions", which we now know as Cale and Lupe II. Cale's NPC account still had a lot of blanks, including his name, but One said that this would be added in the update.

As if the background of the game's systems and AI was not enough, we also got game lore. The Hell of Darkness's 1st dungeon floor served as the tutorial dungeon, with Count Lupe II acting as the tutorial boss.

But it actually had a hidden side still unknown to the game users. That tutorial dungeon was actually the Third Evil of the Eight Evils of the continent! It had 100 floors, and Count Lupe II was in fact the boss of the 99th floor! And after the update, Cale would become the boss of the 100th floor, effectively making him the boss of Count Lupe II and the entire Hell of Darkness dungeon! 🤣🤣🤣

What a weird situation. The hero would be fighting against the god, and people from the evil side would be siding with the hero. 😂

Because of the Red Hand still trying to find Cale, One said that Cale should leave the game first by logging out, and return later after the update. She would explain to him about the hunters and the absolute god at that time.

As for the GoC saint's power, Cale got it as a new skill called Chaotic Fear, though it was still "deactivated". DA said he could activate it anytime after the digestion was finished.

Cale fainted from overwork, had to overwork himself (running away from the Red Hand) in the game, got assigned more work (as the new NPC final boss), and when he woke up, he had to work again because his room was being attacked... 😂

A heretic inquisitor and a dragon attacked the mansion where Cale was staying in, and set it on fire. And also beat up Ron who was guarding Cale. So when Cale woke up, the first thing he saw was the beaten-up Ron whose blood from his forehead wounds dripped down on Cale's face.

Eruhaben and Clopeh rushed to the WT, while CH and the 3 kids hurriedly returned to Cale's side. Thus, the tired Cale had to fight right after waking up. Oh yeah, Cale also heard from Ron that the Dragon Lord had returned.

Ending Remarks Today's chapter felt long because of the info dump. But I felt sad for Cale because he just couldn't get some proper rest. Next up would be a battle chapter. RIP to the enemy who hurt Cale's "family".

Summary:

Oriental Legend 2 follows up the original game with another romp through Journey to the West. The original game's five characters are joined by three newcomers: Er-Lang, Drakan, and Princess Iron Fan. Two more characters can be unlocked after completing the game once.

Like the original game, this is a scrolling beat-em-up for up to four players. This time around, character growth is a major gameplay feature. Players earn experience for defeating enemies and level up, with underleveled characters much more likely to have trouble beating late-game bosses. There are three game modes. "Plot" features seven stages with a regular difficulty level designed for regular players. "Online Ranking" is a more challenging eight-stage mode which, when completed, provides the player with a code to input at the official website in order to share their codes on the online leaderboard. "Challenge Boss" is a boss rush that goes through all of the bosses in the game, with players challenged to get through in as little time as possible.

This is the first game for the PGM2 to feature support for the hardware's card reader accessory. By buying an IC card at their local arcade, players gain the ability to save and load their character's progress, allowing them to keep their level growth and items between runs.

April 15th 1924 saw the birth of Rikki Fulton.

Robert Kerr “Rikki” Fulton was a Scottish comedian and actor best remembered for writing and performing in the long-running BBC Scotland sketch show, Scotch and Wry.

The youngest of three brothers, Robert was born into a non-theatrical family at 46 Appin Road, Dennistoun, Glasgow. Fulton completed his education in 1939 and decided to enter the world of acting after a backstage visit at the Glasgow Pavilion Theatre.In 1941, aged 17, Fulton joined the Royal Navy. The following year he was posted to HMS Ibis, but that November the ship was sunk in the Bay of Algiers. Fulton spent five hours in the water before being rescueHe later joined the Coastal Forces for D-Day, travelling back and forth between Gosport and Arromanches with vital supplies. In 1945, four years after signing up, Fulton was invalided out of the Navy due to blackout, leaving with the rank of sub-lieutenant

In the early 1950s, Fulton moved to London and became the compère of The Show Band Show, working alongside the likes of singer Frank Sinatra.

After a short period, Fulton returned to Scotland to perform for Howard & Wyndham Ltd inn pantomime from 1956 at the Alhambra Theatre, Glasgow with Jimmy Logan and Kenneth McKellar followed by the “Five Past Eight” summer revues with Stanley Baxter and Fay Lenore. In 1985, under the pseudonym “Rabaith”, Fulton, along with Denise Coffey, adapted the French playwright Molière’s, Le Bourgeois Gentilhomme as A Wee Touch o’ Class.

Although he would reprise his famous Rev I.M Jolly character one last time for a short skit on New Year’s Eve 1999 as part of the “Millennium” celebrations. Rikki’s early shows include,The Rikki Fulton Show The Five past eight, The Adventures of Francie and Josie but he also acted in various shows like Charles Esquire , Square Mile of Murder, It Ain’t Half Hot Mum, Bergerac, Local Hero, Gorky Park, Comfort and Joy, The Holy City, The Girl in the Picture, Supergran and the aforementioned Rab C. Nesbitt. Notable Characters Scotch and Wry Supercop a frequently dimwitted traffic cop who rides a motorbike, his trademark is how he removes his goggles (pings off and flies off camera), is often getting into more trouble than those he stops.

Rev. I.M Jolly a very downtrodden and pessimistic minister of the Church of Scotland, presents a fictional show “Last Call” where he has a heart to heart with the audience where he tells them what he has been up to that week. his tone is always low-key and down beat.

Dickie Dandruff owner of “The Fourways Café” also goes by the moniker “The Gallowgate Gourmet” and presents a cooking segment called “Dirty Dick’s Delicat'messen” where he prepares food in comedic style from his filthy café kitchen in the Gallowgate area of Glasgow.

Fulton’s death sparked numerous dedications in his memory. The then-BBC Scotland Controller, John McCormick, said “he [Fulton] was a legend for people across the whole country.”

Fulton’s funeral took place six days after his death. In tribute to his Scotch and Wry character Supercop (a police traffic officer), police motorcyclists escorted the funeral cortège as it made its way to Clydebank Crematorium. The Reverend Alastair Symington, who was a close friend of Fulton, led the service, which featured tributes from Fulton’s widow Kate Matheson and Tony Roper.

Symington had previously collaborated with Fulton on the book, For God’s Sake, Ask!. Both Rikki and his Kate were strong supporters of the Scottish SPCA, which received a financial donation following Fulton’s funeral. A Scottish SPCA inspector represented the animal welfare organisation at the service.

LOST EPIC PS5 and Switch physical editions launch August 8 in Japan

Publisher One or EIGHT and developer Team EARTH WARS will release physical standard and Deluxe editions of LOST EPIC for PlayStation 5 and Switch on August 8 in Japan, the companies announced.

The standard edition will be priced at 3,828 yen, while the Deluxe Edition will be priced at 9,680 yen. The latter will include a copy of the game, an outer case featuring a new illustration by Namie, the original soundtrack CD, an 100-page art book, and an acrylic stand.

LOST EPIC is currently available digitally for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC via Steam worldwide.

This spring, engineers at TAP Air Portugal’s maintenance subsidiary huddled around an aircraft engine that had come in for repair. The exposed CFM56 turbine looked like just another routine job for a shop that handles more than 100 engines a year. Only this time, there was cause for alarm. Workers noticed that a replacement part, a damper to reduce vibration, showed signs of wear, when the accompanying paperwork identified the component as fresh from the production line. On June 21, TAP pointed out the discrepancy to Safran SA, the French aerospace company that makes CFM engines together with General Electric Co. Safran quickly determined that the paperwork had been forged. The signature wasn’t that of a company employee, and the reference and purchase order numbers on the part also didn’t add up. To date, Safran and GE have uncovered more than 90 other certificates that had similarly been falsified. Bogus parts have been found on 126 engines, and all are linked to the same parts distributor in London: AOG Technics Ltd., a little-known outfit started eight years ago by a young entrepreneur named Jose Alejandro Zamora Yrala.

(Reuters) - The United States on Friday banned imports from China-based printer maker Ninestar Corp and a chemical company over alleged human rights abuses in China, according to a post for the Federal Register.

Ninestar, whose website says it is the world's fourth-largest laser printer manufacturer, and Xingjang Zhongtai Chemical Co Ltd, are being kept out of the U.S. supply chain for participating in business practices that target China's Uyghurs and other persecuted groups, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) said in a statement.

The companies could not immediately be reached for comment.

U.N. experts and rights groups estimate that over a million people, mainly Uyghurs and Muslim minorities, have been detained in camps in China's western Xinjiang region in recent years, with many saying they were subject to ideological training and abuse.

China has denied all accusations of abuse.

DHS said the actions were taken as part of the U.S. Uyghur Forced Labor Protection Act (UFLPA), which was signed into law in December 2021. The act prohibits imports into the U.S. that are either produced in Xinjiang or by companies identified on an UFLPA Entity List, unless the importer can prove the goods were not produced with forced labor.

Twenty-two companies are now on the list, and DHS said it has examined over $1.3 billion worth of goods likely manufactured with forced labor nearly a year after the UFLPA was implemented.

Ninestar and its eight Zhuhai-based subsidiaries, along with Xinjiang Zhongtai Chemical, were added to the list for working with the government of Xinjiang to recruit, transport, transfer, harbor or receive forced labor of Uyghurs, Kazakhs, Kyrgyz, or members of other persecuted groups, out of Xinjiang, according to the posting.

“The Forced Labor Enforcement Task Force will continue to hold companies accountable for perpetuating human rights violations in Xinjiang,” DHS Under Secretary for Policy Robert Silvers, who chairs the task force, said in a statement.

The Alpine F1 team has received a €200 million (£170m) boost from an investment group including Wrexham FC owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney. The Enstone-based F1 team, run by Renault under their Alpine brand, announced it has sold shares amounting to a 24% equity stake of Alpine Racing Ltd. The group of investors consists of Otro Capital, RedBird Capital Partners – which holds a large stake in Fenway Sports Group, owners of English Premier League football club Liverpool – and Maximum Effort Investments, led by Hollywood actor Ryan Reynolds along with fellow actor and Wrexham FC owner Rob McElhenney. Another celebrity, ‘Black Panther’ star Michael B Jordan, has joined as a co-investor. The share purchase values Alpine’s F1 team at $900m (£700m). The buy-in only involves Alpine’s F1 team and does not include Renault’s power unit factory at Viry-Chatillon in France, which remains owned by Renault. Alpine CEO Laurent Rossi said the investment would enhance the team’s performance “at all levels.” Rossi said the investors would “bring their recognised expertise to boost our media and marketing strategy, essential to support our sporting performance over the long term. “Second,” Rossi continued, “the incremental revenue generated will in turn be reinvested in the team, in order to further accelerate our ‘Mountain Climber’ plan, aimed at catching up with top teams in terms of state-of-the-art facilities and equipment.” James Toney, co-founder of Maximum Effort Investments, said that there was “tremendous untapped potential” in the Alpine F1 team. “We are eager to help shine a light on this incredible team,” Toney said. “We’re thankful to our partners at Otro Capital and RedBird Capital Partners and look forward to diving in with them, as well as our co-investors Michael B. Summary:

GoI: M&A Harmony Toys

Description: M&A is an acronym Martin and Arthur who are brothers, and the co-founders of the american toy company M&A Harmony Toys. A seemingly normal company that sells basic yet amazingly realistic and lifelike toys. Unfortunately, just like Group of Interest: Fazbear Entertainment, M&A Harmony Toys has fallen due to manipulation of the soul and possession of mascots. The main difference is that hypothetically M&A Harmony Toys uses demonic rituals rather than anomalous technology to control the toys.

M&A Harmony Toys only appeared on the radar on 1982 Quite close to the same time Fazbear Entertainment after the [data expunged] incident. The incident that caught the attention of the Foundation was a broadcasting of a cartoon that featured demonic chanting quite similar to [data expunged]. This resulted in several children [data expunged] which obviously leading to death. The demonic chant within the cartoon lead to the theory that not only is there a demon supporting M&A Harmony Toys but that their demonic powers come from "The Abyss" and is a servant of the [data expunged] but nothing has been confirmed.

Organization: A majority of the individuals within M&A Harmony Toys don't even know what is going on behind the scenes and believe they are working for a toy company no different than all the others. The anomalous objects and entities that lurk within the company are few and extremely keen on staying within the shadows. Furthermore, it has been confirmed the anomalous individuals and entities within M&A Harmony Toys are not always loyal to the company. As such the best any Foundation staff can say about M&A Harmony Toys as a Group of Interest is... "Unpredictable".

Purpose and Goals: After the death of Person of Interest: Arthur Greywhinder as well as a majority of the Greywhinder family, it was believed that Martin Greywhinder was in control of the company. However, his recent disappearance and the sudden "resurrection" of Person of Interest: Arthur Greywhinder has left Foundation staff and agents in confusion. Unfortunately, it's unknown what the goals of M&A Harmony Toys are other than its public goal of selling top of the line life like toys. The best the Foundation is able to summarize is the spreading of anomalous toys to the world to spread the influence of the demon.

Affiliation with the Foundation: M&A Harmony Toys is seen as a major annoyance to the Foundation, they are not a high-level threat, but they do regularly kill off large portions of innocent civilians at the most random of times through randomly anomalous means. Meaning the Foundation always has to keep an annoying eye on M&A Harmony Toys. The Global Occult Coalition has the same opinions on M&A Harmony Toys. However, the Horizon Initiative has considered the M&A Harmony Toys a high-level threat and work around the clock to use legal means to shut down the company while conducting secret raids on their storage units and various stores around the United States.

The Eight Wings of Mekhane and Church of Maxwellism are sickened by M&A Harmony Toys but consider it not a real issue compared to other threats to humanity. The Children of the Scarlet King seem rather fond of anomalies created by M&A Harmony Toys and even use them in experiments. This further proves the theory of [data expunged].

Doctor Wondertainment, Are We Cool Yet?, Herman Fuller's Circus of the Disquieting, and several clans of the Sarkic Cult have tried to assist the anomalous entities that are not loyal to M&A Harmony Toys. Unsurprisingly Marshal, Carter, and Dark Ltd. buying and capturing the anomalous entities form M&A Harmony Toys and selling them in their own markets.

Survivors of Prometheus Labs, Inc. have also captured anomalies of M&A Harmony Toys and sold them to Anderson Robotics and Abstergo Industries with various degrees of success. Meanwhile the FBI: Unusual Incidents Unit have suffered several casualties trying to capture hostiles anomalies of M&A Harmony Toys. There are rumors that Vikander-Kneed Technical Media have "big plans" for M&A Harmony Toys and several of their members have been seen talking with various workers of the toy company but their end goal to all of this is unknown.

January 27th 2004 saw Scotland lose one of our best loved stars in Rikki Fulton.

Robert Kerr "Rikki Fulton was a Scottish comedian and actor best remembered for writing and performing in the long-running BBC Scotland sketch show, Scotch and Wry.

The youngest of three brothers, Robert Kerr Fulton was born into a non-theatrical family at 46 Appin Road, Dennistoun, Glasgow. Fulton completed his education in 1939 and decided to enter the world of acting after a backstage visit at the Glasgow Pavilion Theatre.

In 1941, aged 17, Fulton joined the Royal Navy. The following year he was posted to HMS Ibis, but that November the ship was sunk in the Bay of Algiers. Fulton spent five hours in the water before being rescueHe later joined the Coastal Forces for D-Day, travelling back and forth between Gosport and Arromanches with vital supplies. In 1945, four years after signing up, Fulton was invalided out of the Navy due to blackout, leaving with the rank of sub-lieutenant

In the early 1950s, Fulton moved to London and became the compère of The Show Band Show, working alongside the likes of singer Frank Sinatra.

After a short period, Fulton returned to Scotland to perform for Howard & Wyndham Ltd in

n pantomime from 1956 at the Alhambra Theatre, Glasgow with Jimmy Logan and Kenneth McKellar followed by the "Five Past Eight" summer revues with Stanley Baxter and Fay Lenore. In 1985, under the pseudonym "Rabaith", Fulton, along with Denise Coffey, adapted the French playwright Molière's, Le Bourgeois Gentilhomme as A Wee Touch o' Class.

Alongside his Scotch and Wry co-stars Gregor Fisher and Tony Roper, Fulton made two appearances in Rab C. Nesbitt; once in 1988 and 10 years later in 1998. Although he would reprise his famous Rev I.M Jolly character one last time for a short skit on New Year's Eve 1999 as part of the "Millennium" celebrations. Rikki's early shows include,The Rikki Fulton Show The Five past eight, The Adventures of Francie and Josie but he also acted in various shows like Charles Esquire , Square Mile of Murder, It Ain't Half Hot Mum, Bergerac, Local Hero, Gorky Park, Comfort and Joy, The Holy City, The Girl in the Picture, Supergran and the aforementioned Rab C. Nesbitt. Notable Characters Scotch and Wry Supercop a frequently dimwitted traffic cop who rides a motorbike, his trademark is how he removes his goggles (pings off and flies off camera), is often getting into more trouble than those he stops.

Rev. I.M Jolly a very downtrodden and pessimistic minister of the Church of Scotland, presents a fictional show "Last Call" where he has a heart to heart with the audience where he tells them what he has been up to that week. his tone is always low-key and down beat.

Dickie Dandruff owner of "The Fourways Café" also goes by the moniker "The Gallowgate Gourmet" and presents a cooking segment called "Dirty Dick's Delicat'messen" where he prepares food in comedic style from his filthy café kitchen in the Gallowgate area of Glasgow.

Fulton's death sparked numerous dedications in his memory. The then-BBC Scotland Controller, John McCormick, said "he [Fulton] was a legend for people across the whole country."

Fulton's funeral took place six days after his death. In tribute to his Scotch and Wry character Supercop (a police traffic officer), police motorcyclists escorted the funeral cortège as it made its way to Clydebank Crematorium. The Reverend Alastair Symington, who was a close friend of Fulton, led the service, which featured tributes from Fulton's widow Kate Matheson and Tony Roper. Symington had previously collaborated with Fulton on the book, For God's Sake, Ask!. Both Rikki and his Kate were strong supporters of the Scottish SPCA, which received a financial donation following Fulton's funeral. A Scottish SPCA inspector represented the animal welfare organisation at the service.
