Astro observations

Sister signs are the funniest to look at sometimes, because much like sisters there will be the similarites. For instance, Leo and Aquarius are both cocky asf but you know what the difference is between them? Idk if it's just the leos I've met or what but they will say they don't care what others think of them and yet when you say something about them all of the sudden they in their feelings. I can say this as a leo rising too cause bitch, no puedo mentir....if you talk about my looks I might feel some kind of way lowkey. Mostly because it is one of those things that I take seriously about myself so it feels really odd when someone who (in my opinon) doesn't look as good as me and disses me on the way I look...I'm going to be acting (with a lack of better words) like a bitch. I think this is why I get along with libra placements so well because I swear if a libra calls you ugly, you know they can say that shit with no worry of pushback. Like have you see libra placements...motherfuckers rule Venus for a reason (taurus are also pretty but it is definitely different if you know what I mean, I jsut wanted to point that out since Taurus also rule Venus and I didn't want any confusion). Moving on what I wanted to point out is that Aquarius (at least from the ones I've met) honestly don't seem to care. Like I think depending on the placements of the person it could change some stuff up but overall most Aquarius I have met in certain things say they don't care and they won't. Like if you say shit about something they don't care about...they simply won't really react as opposed to thier sister sign leos (fire signs can't help it, it is me I am the fire sign).

Literally Leos it's okay to care about shit...like own up to it. It's better than contradicting yourself. And yes ranting a whole bunch about something does count as caring about it. I'm sorry to break the news to you (i know breaking news people care about things). I do wanna repeat that this is based off my own personal experience as a leo rising with my sun in aries (17 degree) and my venus in the fifth degree (if you don't know those are leo degrees), so I am calling myself out a bit when I wrote this.

Is it just me or are a lot of Pisces suns I've met happen to be left handed? Like I assume being left handed and a Pisces is one of the biggest coincidences I have experienced in my life. It's even funnier cause I remember meeting a person who was ambidextrous and they had a Gemini sun, libra moon, and a Pisces mars. I asked them if they were left handed and just had to learn how to write with their right hand (apparently left handed is connected to Satan or something like that) , but actually they just decided to write with their left hand as well because it felt more balanced to them. I find it funny because of the whole thing of doubles in these three signs. Gemini= Twins, Libra= Scales, and Pisces = two fish.

Alright final thing, mercury in the fifth house in synastry is definitely a moment to experience. It is one of my favorite house overlays in synastry from usually being one of the most fun conversations I have had with someone with this overlay. Generally speaking air house overlays with mercury is great but something about the fifth house really goes for me. I want to assume it's because my fifth house is in sag and I already have a ninth house stellium natally plus a sag mars. Plus my Aries mercury is helpful in this as well but ehh.

He nodded, but his gaze nearly looked distant, as if his mind were elsewhere. “So you’ve always lived with your family,” the star said softly. Strangely, it almost sounded like more of an observation or a confirmation than a statement. “You stayed with your father here, and you live with your mother and grandfather at home.”

She nodded, picking up a few more books and scrolls that had been scattered across her desk.. “Well yeah…that’s how most humans live. We’re social creatures. Unless you’re extremely introverted, but even then, we need social interactions” The star hummed, as she risked a glance in his direction, asking, “are stars not social creatures?”

He shifted uncomfortably, his eyes nearly lost in thought for a moment or so until he slowly shook his head. His voice was low and quiet, he nearly sounded tired.“No. Not quite…when stars are born…we’re sent to a nebulas where our caretakers look after us. I suppose it’s what you’d equate to a nursery, at least that’s what she told me.” 

“The wishing star?”

He nodded, his lips pressing into a thin line. “Yeah. Her. But during our stay there we are usually visited until we undergo our naming ceremony. After that whether or not we are visited is -,” Hold on. Cepheus-Sirius had a family?! Cepheus had parents?!? What did they look like?! He continued peacefully oblivious to the shock she was experiencing at his words. “-ultimately up to our parents or family. So it’s not uncommon for some nebulas to be more popular than others.”

More Popular? So were there nebulas out there with tiny stars neglected and lonely? Waiting and hoping for the day that their parents would acknowledge their existence? Something about that image didn’t sit right with her. Every child deserved to have a parent, even if said child wasn’t human…

“Asha?” he was staring at her.

“Huh” she shook her head, snapping herself out of her daze. “What? What is it?”

Much to her chagrin, his smile returned in full force. “Oh nothing you were just staring at me so intently that for a second I thought you were about to pull out your telescope to get a better view.”

She rolled her eyes stepping past him as she turned her attention to the rest of the room that she promptly decided would have to be dealt with ‘later’. “Ha ha very funny. I wasn’t staring at you. I was just wondering…Was your nebula popular?”

His expression somewhat soured as she watched him run his hand through his hair, completely combing away the black strands from his now bluish grayish eyes as they narrowed at her. “Maybe? I don’t know..” 

She couldn’t stop herself from asking her next question, “Were you the most or least popular star in your nebula?”

His brow furrowed in thought as he frowned, “Hmm neither? I was the only ‘child’ there so to speak.”

“Well were you popular with your caretakers?”

He shrugged, “Ehh I don’t know. I’m pretty sure I had them on rotation. I wasn’t exactly an angel back then per se.” 

She grinned, imagining a toddler Cepheus wreaking havoc on his poor caretakers. “So you were a bad child huh? I guess it checks out.”

He smiled sheepishly, as he scratched the back of his neck “Ok so I might have started out bad, but-,”

“But?” She repeated, not quite able to completely stifle her own chuckle.

“I got better.” She snorted. “I swear I did!” 

She could barely keep herself from laughing as she asked, “So you’re what you’d consider good now? A reformed person? You’ve (no pun intended) seen the light?”

“Eh…Close enough, I suppose,” he smiled. Now she was laughing, not necessarily at him but at the whole revelation of Sirius- Sirius, being a bad child.

“Don’t feel too bad about it starboy,” she smiled as she sat next to him. “it’s not a bad thing to be a boisterous child, alright? Trust me, when I was little, I don’t think I was exactly an amazing child either.”

Maybe I’m missing something but I don’t understand why people are saying Plargos is toxic? Like don’t get me wrong as individuals they’re obviously not good people, being serial killers and what not, though I think they’re good for each other? The stalking and obsessive behaviors on Argos’s end doesn’t seem to be a issue, I honestly don’t think Mr Plant cares? (He might even like it idk) And Mr Plant can’t communicate very well given he can’t talk so it’s created some miscommunication, but those instances where many episodes ago and they’ve adapted. I think the only real issue was Mr Plants birthday episode where Argos crossed his one boundary of not wanting a big party, but at the end he owned up to it and understood what he’d done was selfish, which probably implies he won’t do it again.

Clearly there was and has been a lack of communication which seems to be where there main issues stem from(I’ve had these own type of issues in my relationship, it happens), but they’ve grown from those moments, at least from I’ve seen. Not bashing anyones interpretations ofc! I personally just think it’s unfair to label a relationship toxic when there’s no substantial evidence of it, romantic relationships are hard, especially new ones, it’s a lot of coming to understandings and realizing your own faults and how to become a better person for your partner, and from what I’ve seen that’s relatively what they’re going through, it’s ok to miss the mark, it’s all about realizing what you need to do to improve and taking that first step.

Now, do I find there relationship healthy? Ehh, not conventionally. I don’t think it’s healthy to be obsessive with your partner(obviously) and in the real world that would definitely be a issue, I’ve experienced that in past relationships and it’s not fun, but whatever they have seems to be working for them so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ they’ve got there own lil fucked up murder romance goin on and they’re happy bout it, good for them

Summer vacation is pretty awesome to be honest, loving the joy of being able to start something and finish it within the same day without shitting my pants about being exhausted at school the next day

So anyway the last weeks of school were boring af so instead of sitting around in class doing nothing I've decided to catch up with this weird manga I found on tiktok a few months earlier aaand surprise

seems like the translator just gave up on the last few chapters or something because it ends on a cliffhanger and I can't find the rest in english anywhere. Great. Super pissed about that. Might do some more digging later on to find them if I feel like it, idk, I basically spoiled the ending for myself by going through the wiki anyway

So was the story good?

Would I recommend it to a friend?

Absolutely not.

Was it still entertaining?

Yeah. The plot is basically ass pull after ass pull to keep the story going. Whenever it seems like something bad is about to happen to the family some shit like a meteor comes crashing down to save them. It's actually hilarious in its own way if you get past the bizarre amounts of senseless gore. Mari is a girlboss, we need more unapologetically evil and creepy women in media. if you have the time/energy to elaborate, what's your process like for coloring stuff you ink traditionally? i've figured out a few different methods over the years, but i generally stick to fully digital or traditional for a piece, so i'm curious to see how you do it! :0

This is such a fun question for me because I get to both ramble about my art process and have an excuse to throw some colors on this Breloom I drew ages ago.

I use Clip Studio Paint and an Ipad for my digital stuff so I'll be referring to the processes on that but I'm sure there is a work around for other programs as well :^)

I scan my traditional art at 400dpi because it's always easier to work bigger with digital stuff and resize it smaller then the other way around :^)

So here's our raw scan, which already looks very decent but when I want to color something I like for everything to be much cleaner/sharper/more contrast-y and to get rid of the noise from the paper texture lmao. A well lit photo will also do the job because that's what I did for many years before getting my scanner but tbh if you're a traditional -> digital artist like myself a scanner is like a best friend you can buy HAHA

First things first, I apply a Gradient Map Layer > New Correction Layer > Gradient Map

Clip has a really nice black and white map preinstalled but I made myself a custom map just by pushing the black and white a little closer, it completely clears up all the noise and makes everything really crisp! Make sure you check on your lines when adjusting things because super fine feather lines can sometimes be lost if you make the contrast too high. Extra tip! If you want to make Graphite Pencil or Ball Point Pen really nice looking as well, just add a dark grey point in the gradient map closer to the black then middle...works perfectly :^)!!

This is the point I look for stray pixels, cat hairs, ect and make sure to erase any surrounding doodles or sketches I don't want included.

GOD DAMN Those lines are CRISP-Y!!!

Next up we're going to want to go Edit > Convert brightness to opacity

Tbh If I didn't have this method idk what I would do with myself.... I've tried the whole "Lineart on top layer set to multiply" Method and ...ehh....

Now that I have a nice transparent line art I'll stick a new white layer down below it because the checker pattern hurts my eyes LOL

I'm going to quickly go over the style I use for MTE! It has been refined to be quicker and easier to do since you know...I have a week time limit per page ... 😭 I have a completely different way I do colors for other things I want to spend more time on but I might explain that one in the future...I'm running out of steam tonight LOL

I use this really awesome brush pack that has a pencil like texture and I love it to bits...here's a link to it if your interested!

At this point I might add some overlay layers or play around with an airbrush but I think this guys done for now :^) I tend to stay away from highlights with my shading for MTE..My biggest goal is to make sure everything is clear and readable! That being said I break my own rules all the time for special panels that need the extra 'oomf!'

(SPOILERS OF COURSE) I HAVE FINALLY WATCHED GHOSTBUSTERS AFTERLIFE‼️‼️‼️

anywho, yes i finally watched it. and i actually loved it??? like it felt so nostalgic even though i like watched the originals billions of times with my father. but bro it felt so different just hearing the old ost and ambience dude. like holy shitttt😭. it was so so so so great watching it. nice seeing the spirits/ghosts like shootingv stars in a way? felt so bad when i saw egons death from the chair (rip :(() it made me honestly happy to see phoebe have characteristics from her grandfather like MWAH. ik it’s just curly hair and glasses but idc top notch tbh.

she so silly though i love her and her jokes. ig the landlord was nice enough to change the locks when they’re out (like that won’t matter for her) made me feel so happy that egon wanted to play chess (or it couldve been some other ghost) and play with phoebe. i wish i got to see it in theaters and not beeen like “wahhh wahhh its a new movie from a older movie that i love its gonna be terrible!!” imd, i saw halloween kills that year and it was pretty decent, so i thought it was just gonna be BLEH or something ig. but Podcast honestly reminded me of Ray ngl like THEIR HAIRRRR‼️

im sure they did it intentionally but ibjust love it man. and ray knowing podcast’s podcast. LIKE that warmed my heart man😭😭😭. it was honestly sweet that egon was directing with the lights and showing phoebe what to do to fix the proton blaster like awhhhh 😭😭. OH AND THEM FINDING THE GHOSTBUSTERS CAR LIKE AHHHH. but honestly such a cool sweet heart warming story. i sure did miss gozer tbh. big surprise to see jk simmons there tbh😭 and then split in half poor fellow just wanted to rule the world too ig

just loved it when she said it here too “are you a god?” 😭😭 and then ray had to remember silky ray. but so sweet to see that egon help out phoebe and see thebold gang and hugging his daughter :(((. even though he said like NOTHING it was still so so so sweet. i bet harold ramis would be so proud of this movie if there is an afterlife perchance. i should be like doing schoolwork right now but here i am rantijg to like 2 of my closest friends EVER (ily both so so much if you even read this) or even the internet 😭😭😭 but oh well.

kinda myv only complaint about the film is that they just deepened the voices ofbthe mom and gooberson when they were possessed by gatekeeper and keymaster and even the eyes were very red like ik it was like that KINDA in the first film but cmon man. anywho rant over. WAY BETTER THAN THE 2016 VERSION.

My personal ranking of the mars placements by sign

Signs not included (due to me not really meeting much so it seems unfair to really rank something I'm not really aware of ya know?): Cancer, Virgo, Libra, Pisces. I am pretty sure I would love any libra placement but ehh...

Alright let's get into it

Now let's divide this by modality to figure out which is the most prominent for me then I'll go by element and such and so on.

Fixed (from most to least I guess): Leo, Scorpio, Taurus, and Aquarius. My reasoning and thought process: I put Leo first because every Leo mars I have met are just so fucking fun to talk to. Of course keep in mind that I am a sag mars so it might have something to do with that ya know? Anyways I think the main reason I put Scorpio before Taurus is because I have met a lot more Scorpio mars as opposed to Taurus mars. They are both great, it's just that Scorpio mars are more or less like a home to me. Fourth house in Scorpio for me makes sense though. Now Aquarius mars is only last because I know only a couple and they vary a lot for me. I love them for their mind but yet they are the most close minded open minded people I have ever met. moving on tho...

Mutable: Sag then Gemini...the bias is strong isn't it lol. I love them both very much with sag mars only taking the winning spot because of it both being in my fifth house but also because of that sweet sweet mars conjunct Pluto possible aspect happening. I both love and hate this aspect but I'm pretty sure it's cause most times I am the mars person idk tho. I find this aspect the best for me personally when it comes to Pluto aspects in synastry.

Cardinal: Capricorn then Aries. I know I know there is a possibility with conjunction with the Aries mars but I'm sorry but I prefer someone who doesn't have my anger issues thank you. It's not out of disdain, I just love Capricorn mars a bit more.

Now time for the next level of the rankings

Most to least: Sag, Leo, Gemini, Scorpio, Taurus, Capricorn, Aquarius, and finally Aries. Again I don't hate Aquarius or Aries mars. I just love the rest more and I haven't had that same spark with Aries and Aquarius like I have had with the rest of the mars signs.
