Bastet
Bastet has been getting my attention the past few days, so I did a bit of research and put together what I found. Also, if you happen to work with her, please let me know if I got something wrong or am missing something.

I just want to know because I remember the great love going around for Marclayla, and I'm beginning to wonder/worry that the love for Layla/Marclayla has fizzled out.

Chapter 19
The search for Yara's mother begins....
Smoke swirled along the gold inlaid floor, climbing curling and climbing the marbled walls, and seeming to creep ever closer to the couple at the center of the room.  Lighting flashed through massive windows across a deep indigo sky, lighting everything up before plunging it into an almost inky blackness.  There was a thrum that could be felt, making the room feel alive around them as they waited to be greeted.
“Who has entered Vahala, the realm of Odin, the Almighty Allfather?  State your name and reason for your visit, or you shall meet your DOOM!!!”  A loud voice demanded. It was deep and echoed off of all the walls around them making Yara’s ears ring, and she could feel the vibration of it within all of her being.  Her hand entwined with Astaroth’s tightened and her other one gripped his elbow as she pressed against him.  Whoever it was sounded angry, and she was not prepared, nor dressed, for a fight.  Astaroth seemed relaxed, and she hoped that meant that whoever it was could still die by his powers. “Oh for fuck’s sake Mordgud, Odin’s expecting us. You know damn well who it is, too. I swear if you loose Garm, and he ruins another pair of my shoes, I'm going to be seriously pissed.”  Astaroth rolled his eyes and the sarcasm was thick in his voice, before he looked over at Yara with an annoyed but apologetic look.  The look of confusion and fear on her face just made him sigh.  Leave it to Mordgud to start things off on the wrong foot.  “I’ll explain later,” he mouthed over to her.
“You know, Astaroth, you take all the fun out of things.  Do you know how long it is between visitors up here?”  The goddess stepped into view, the smoke that had filled the marble and gold room dissipating as she did.  “Don’t worry, after Odin’s response last time Garm greeted you, I wasn’t about to let him loose this time.”  The beautiful goddess, with her inky black curls that seemed to reflect a deep blue in the light, tipped her head and  grinned.  “And who do we have here?” Mordgud leaned closer as she regarded Yara, her eyes studying the beauty next to Astaroth.  From the way the female was clinging to Death, she had to be someone special.  Normally Astaroth was reticent to let anyone touch him, let alone almost climb upon him. That she hadn’t dropped dead yet meant Astaroth liked it, interesting indeed.
“This, Mordgud, is my wife, Yara.  Yara, the goddess Mordgud, guardian of the bridge to Hel and Valhalla.”  Astaroth made the introductions.  Seeing the surprised look on Mordgud’s face, he grinned more. “I take it the news of the wedding hasn’t made it up here yet?” There was a bit of a smug smirk as he asked the question.  This meant that when they showed up in other places, the surprise would also be the same.  Perfect.
“Not at all!  I will have to speak to father about this.  Welcome to Valhalla, Yara.  I apologize for scaring you, I did not realize that Astaroth would not have warned his guest that he is well known here.” Mordgud bowed to the couple.  “Now, please, follow me, I’ll guide you to mother and father.”  The goddess smiled brightly before turning to lead them from the room and down a bright hallway.  Oh there were going to be some broken hearts in the whole of the underworld when this news got out, and she couldn’t wait to be the one who spread it.  Such news was hard to come by anymore.  She couldn’t wait to tell Hel!

Kemetic Diety Jar
This is just some basic items that each deity likes. The intention behind this is to in a deity jar (which can be worn as a necklace), as opposed to these being offerings.
These items can be used as something to put on an alter, but from the research I did, there are other things you would offer to them.

Egyptian Scarab Bracelet
Tumblr media
The Egyptian Scarab Bracelet from the Tomb of Tutankhamun (1341-1323 BC) was made with Gold, Lapis-lazuli, Carnelian, Turquoise, and other semi-precious stones.
The scarab has been deified during Ancient Egypt.
Its shape was related to the god Jepri in the graphic representation (human body and scarab face).
However, normally, people referred to the scarab as Ra, the creator of the universe, one of the most important gods in the Egyptian pantheon.
The reason that the scarab is so often depicted in everything from hieroglyphs to jewelry, statues and engravings is due to the popular belief that it was an amulet of protection against disease and death.
It was also interpreted as a symbol of resurrection.
Not only did it protect those who wore it as an amulet while alive from illness, but when placed next to the dead, it meant that they could be resurrected and thus attain eternal life.
During mummification process, the heart of the deceased was often compared to a granite engraving in which several scarabs were carved.
As I have already mentioned, it was a true belief that the protection of this amulet continued after death, when the deceased would meet Osiris.
In this way, he could attain eternal life beyond the earthly one.
The scarab symbol is often engraved on the sarcophagi or tomb rooms in the Valley of the Kings and Queens at Luxor, as well as in other tombs around the country.
This is a clear example of how the protection of the scarab as an amulet was believed to function.
The cult of this symbol, framed within the cult of death itself, was represented by a scarab that was usually carved in greenstone and placed on the chest of the deceased.
The location was not an accident, as in this way the scarab could protect the heart and replace it during mummification.
The purpose of this symbol, also known as the “heart scarab,” was to ensure that the heart would not testify against the deceased at the judgment of the dead.
The texts on sarcophagi found with these amulets also state that the souls of the deceased could be reincarnated and thus reborn as humans, gods or birds.
Even today, it is still believed that the scarab functions as a good luck charm.
In many markets in Egypt, you can buy small scarabs carved from lapis lazuli or other stones (usually bluish), which are sold to hang around your neck or carry in your wallet.

Whenever someone asks my friend how good they are in the bedroom she says “I give head like Isis.” And if they ask what she means, which they always do. She says “I’ll blow you so good you’ll think you’ve died and came back to life.” Which if you know how isis brought Osiris back to life, is hilarious.
She’s a history major.
