Yoooo soooo i have created a community that is geared towards adult knowledgable witches, crafters, practitioners, revivalists, ancestral practices, ect. It is geared to have space for adult content, and space for more knowledgeable inquiries. Or just general displays of your practice. A place to show off what you know and ask about what others know. I'm not sure if it'll go anywhere. But honestly when I join craft communities, a lot of the feed is just super basic questions research could answer for you. And I don't feel like I had a place in those communities, bc I was way way past all of that. I'm hoping this can be a space for ppl who don't need that information on their feed. No hate to anyone who does. Also I never GET to talk about Advanced magic, or see other ppl talk about theirs. I hope that can happen here. Even though there's no one in here I just made it today 12/17/24 🫠

Druidry is not just a spiritual practice within oneself, it's a living active practice to go out there, experience life, and help the world.

I don't believe in God, but if I did, I would fear them, not because I feel like that's a healthy feeling to carry in one's every day life, but because an omnipotent creator deity existing - let alone one that canonically punishes people according to its whims - would be like being under a giant's thumb at all times. Even if I were told they were the most loving wonderful God that might be imagined I could not help but fear them to at least some extent, because if the most virtuous, moral man on the planet is holding a gun to your head, he's still holding a gun to your head.
Moreover, the God or Gods of every extant religious tradition in the world today that I have any familiarity with are in my opinion morally bankrupt in their treatment of humanity, and so if I found out that any of them truly existed my response would be equal parts fear and loathing.
Murder the Gods and topple their thrones, and all that

Things that I know.
1. Yaoi is the opposite of yuri
2. According to tumblr, yuri seems to be just about anything, but I have most commonly seen it take the form of two inanimate objects in close proximity to one another. Eg minecraft furnace and crafting table, trains crashing into each other, etc.
Therefore, we can conclude that Yaoi is two inanimate objects that are very far apart from each other. The sun and the earth are yaoi.

In addition to the I'm Guessing Tolkien Had Some Hang-Ups About Pregnancy post, I also ran over some interesting but even more unrelated factoids in The Nature of Middle-earth that even I couldn't justify including in the main ramble.
So I made a separate post about those, which includes my favorite:
Arwen would have been even more exhausting for Celebrían to bear than a pair of twins because: Arwen was a "special child" of great powers and beauty The beauty I got from LOTR, but—without being dismissive about the banner—I really wish we had a clearer sense of Arwen's unique stature in her own right in LOTR. She's presented so much in terms of Elrond and Lúthien and occasionally Galadriel and Celeborn, but Elladan and Elrohir are Elrond's children and Galadriel's grandchildren just as much as she is. Yet here she's clearly framed as special and powerful in a way they are not and which drew so much from Celebrían's (and possibly Elrond's) spiritual reserves that they couldn't have any more children. That seems like a big deal! Tell me more! Epilogue: he did not tell us more

(alternative music only video)
having heightened empathy with sensitivity to others' emotions and pains can honestly feel like having the world on your shoulders. my ADHD makes it difficult to regulate my own emotions, and the weight of everyone else's struggles on top of my worn often feels impossible to deal with.
the only solution in these times, one that actually works, is turning to Jesus for help. He doesn't bring a distraction or a flimsy temporary lie. in fact, He usually doesn't change that circumstances at all. but i've lost track of how many times He's laid His peace on me when i called. i'm talking supernatural peace, "i have anxiety, why do i feel ok?" peace; where there's no reason to suddenly feel calmed and assured. like you can breathe again.
"I'm leaving you with a gift- peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don't be troubled or afraid." (john 14:27)
only Jesus is capable of giving that. mental disorders and brain chemistry are nothing in the Face of the Creator God of the universe. especially the One that is eager and ready to take our burdens and put our minds at rest.
"Then Jesus said, 'Come to Me, all you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.' " (Matthew 11:28)

Gonna throw my hat into the “humans are weird” ring
As far as I know, the only other species on earth that appears to have some sort of religious semblance are elephants. And I’m not even sure that’s true.
So what if humans are the only intergalactic species that practice religions? Imagine:
“Human Beth? Why are you kneeling next to your bed? Are you sick?”
“I’m not sick, just praying. It’s part of my religion”
“Does that help you in any way? It seems highly uncomfortable”
“Don’t worry, I do this all the time”
“Human Fatima, you haven’t eaten yet today. Are you feeling unwell?”
“Oh, I’m alright, thank you. I’m just observing a religious holiday.”
“Are you sure? Homosapiens need to eat three times a day. This self destructive behaviour can be detrimental”
“It’s fine”
“Human Kyle, what is a religion?”
“Uhhhh it’s like… a human… thing?”
This is such a funny concept to me aughahfhfahhchahd

My heart breaks for someone unseen,
Yearning for his touch, his call, my siren call unheard.
His voice whispers soft on the wind,
My tears salted, swollen, flooding the valley below.
Where is he now, lost in the night?
I cry to the blackness, pleading for his light.
“Come get me,” I beg, “I can’t do this on my own.
This earth isn’t mine; it’s not my home.”
I need him now, as shadows creep,
Before the drugs drag me into unconsciousness, an existence laid bare.
Let his voice in the wind never fade away,
Guide me to him—where I long to be.
