Men will genuinely talk about “female privilege” and cite no sources but instead go on and on about how they “know a girl”. Not even multiple girls, just one, whom he doesn’t even seem to know past acquaintance status. Also sprinkled in domestic abuse because trust me bro it happened.

He literally says: "It probably has something to do with her being born a girl..." Like no wonder you were not able to graduate high school and now have to get your GED, you have the critical thinking and writing skills of a toddler.

If the girl you are talking about somehow got in without one, how about going up to her and asking how? There are circumstances where a student does not need one, but its telling the level of desperation men are going through to try and prove their oppression. This single male has singled out one female who he assumes is using their "female privilege" and this one example proves it all. Never mind the countless stats and historical data that point the opposite...

There are few things I hate more than "Jewish ally" anti-theists and atheists that spout complete bullshit about Judaism and our supposed beliefs as though they know better than we do what we believe. When we talk about cultural xtianity, this is the kind of shit we're talking about.

Spent several posts calling non-religious people "freethinkers," and continuously dodged the question regarding the harm eliminating religion would do to so many cultures. Not to mention going from "I think the world is better without religion" to "you have an anti-xtian bias that I don't like" as though there's not a reason for that.

Ex-xtian atheists - you need to address and unlearn your xtian belief that your way is the only right way. That you are objectively correct and everyone else is just ignorant. That you know better than the religious minorities you are addressing. People like this want an excuse to talk down to religious minorities under the guise of polite language, and if you don't want to be associated with them, you have to put in the work to not be like this. I say this as an ex-Catholic, and a former anti-theist - do better.

If you are making objective assertions about someone else's religion that you have not studied and cannot answer basic questions about, you're not being critical of religion, you're being an atheist supremacist. If you pull a "gods are more harmful than helpful" like this person but cannot tell me the impact of Kali or Sàngó on their respective cultures, you are not being critical, you're ignorant and self-absorbed. If you have not studied religion, you do not know what you are talking about, and if you are only accepting xtian interpretations of other religions as true, even as a basis for hatred of religion, you're just a xtian with a new wallpaper.

If you are advocating for anti-theism, you are advocating for the cultural genocide of hundreds of different cultures around the world. If you are advocating for anti-theism, you are inherently anti-Jew. And if you are talking over Jews when they correct you on your blatant misunderstanding of our culture, only to call us *liars* when we counter your misconceptions, or call out your cherry-picked sources for why you know better than we do, you're not just an asshole, you're an Antisemite.

I took this conversation in good faith, hoping that the ignorance was born from misunderstanding instead of malice. I should not have been so kind. And if you're going to come onto this post and whine and cry about "not all atheists," or "cultural xtianity isn't real," save us both the time and block me. I'm done entertaining atheists that will not acknowledge that y'all don't know better than the religious minorities you are insulting by assuming we're all just blind sheep being lied to by some hierarchy that doesn't exist outside of certain religions. My partner is an atheist. I was for a long time, and I chose to return to religion on my own. I'm still an atheist, but I am also very religious. I'm the "smart Jew" that ex-xtians love to talk about; enlightened and no longer clinging to the supernatural. And I'm telling you that you're a fucking asshole and I associate more with the most spiritual Orthodox Jew than I ever would with someone who thinks atheism makes you superior.

Unpopular opinions about religion (from an atheist)

- If you need god and hell to stop you from “sinning”, maybe you’re just actually not a good person???

- The bible is fake and it has been proven that it has been rewritten many times over the centuries to match what people want it to say

- The only anti-abortion arguments are based on religious beliefs meaning that if we truly had separation of church and state it would not be a political topic, just a personal choice not to get one yourself

- The pledge of allegiance says “one nation, under god” so no one should be forced to say it if they don’t believe in it, in any setting

- They anti-LGBT+ arguments are also entirely based on religion so again shouldn’t be a political topic

- Putting god and trump in the same photo is literally against the commandments (2. Thou shalt not make false idols) so the conservative extremists who say they are christian but idolize trump are going against the their own bible

- Children shouldn’t be forced to be the same religion or religious at all until they can make choices for themselves

- Religious people should not be in healthcare if they cannot separate personal opinions/choices from what the job requires. Healthcare professionals need to base their practice on evidence based care, patient needs and science

- Churches should be taxed

- Being able to claim religious beliefs as a reason not to get vaccinated is why so many people have gotten sick or died

- Addiction and prison rehabilitation is often attributed to “finding god�� so again if god is the only reason you are good, maybe you just aren’t a that good of a person (addiction is a disease and should be treated as such)

- It’s literally so delusional to believe that some higher power created all of existence

- Again saying you hear or see god is just visual or auditory hallucinations indicating mental illness

- Being an atheist I live so freely with no religious guilt or desire to please some made up person. I still treat all people with care and respect because I have the desire to be good for no one but myself and those around me

- If there was a god why doesn’t he answer prayers? I prayed for most of my childhood to stop being molested by my sister and he never once answered. Now I live with cPTSD and depression because of it and I am not the only one

- Religion stops people from acting without bias and it costs many lives

- World peace could have been a thing if there was no religion to start wars and separate people

- Saying “all lives matter” but then turning around and voting for trump is a contradiction because his policies don’t include all lives

Another thing that pisses me off about religion, is the debates.

There are so many channel dedicated to debating religious people or trying to prove atheists wrong but it all goes down to simple rules that we all, as a society agreed to. Agreed to this one little rule to the point of writing it into our legal systems: If you make a claim, it's on you to prove it. Why does the convo always span more than that??? They have no proof! That's the point of faith. Faith is the belief in something that has no proof, to believe in something with no proof. It's not on normal people who believe in science to explain why the grass is green or how nothing came from something or why birds lay eggs and humans give birth. It's on religious idiots to prove why a god made all of humanity but never told anyone about dinosaurs and biology. It's on them to prove why morality comes from religion and not simply survival and herd mentality in our brains trying to make it possible for us to live in a community. Even dogs help each other and it's not God telling them to.

But please, keep grilling normal people about this shit because you have no answers about your made up oc.

It's amazing how humans pretend to be so advanced in 2024 but then still believe in god(s) even though we literally went through a period in history where we realized that just because we can't explain something does not mean it's magic and that science, as it progresses, explains everything.

Yes, it is a theory, and it's amazing that we could even figure that out with science. Going back so far, before even dinos existed. If anything, that theory is proof that with science, we will progress till we do have an explanation of the creation of the universe.

You know what doesn't help us progress but instead staggers progress? The belief that everything was created by a magical deity which is why we need to abandon science because some things just can't be explained otherwise.
